[00:00:07] Speaker A: In the beginning, the earth was a dark, formless void.
[00:00:11] Speaker B: But then God spoke and said, let there be wrestling.
[00:00:16] Speaker A: And with that, there was Monday, and wrestling happened on Mondays. And God looked upon her works and said, holy shit, that's a lot of racism in video packages.
On the second day, God got depressed and lo did she post about it on the DB DVR forums. And with that, there was Tuesday.
On the third day, God said, let there be Wednesday. And lo did the people reply unto her.
We know what that means.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: I forgot to tell you. I usually just rip off the band aid. Welcome back to Wednesday night fake fights with a me. It's Ella Taylor. What with the she and the her. The pronouns.
No blue hair, but I'm, you know, someone be mad.
[00:01:11] Speaker A: The pronouns.
[00:01:13] Speaker B: The pronouns. What, what, what the have you, I am sun. Sun kissed today we'll say that. So if I'm a little loopy, we'll blame that.
But we are here to talk about. Aw, dynamite as week with the wrestle queers. Only one wrestle queer this week. Oh, my God, we have a wrestle sis hat.
[00:01:37] Speaker A: Is that even allowed?
[00:01:39] Speaker B: Do they make you.
That's like. That's like Italian wrestlers. I didn't know they came in.
[00:01:45] Speaker C: They make.
[00:01:48] Speaker A: Believe it or not, there are a couple of us out there, but we try to keep it on the DL.
[00:01:53] Speaker C: Your sexuality.
[00:01:55] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't want to. I don't want to throw it in
[00:01:58] Speaker A: anyone's face faces here, you know.
[00:02:03] Speaker B: Well, well, we have our. We now have a CIS at.
We have a. A CIS set here. Everyone be nice, I guess.
[00:02:12] Speaker A: No, that's fine.
[00:02:13] Speaker B: No. From Jack of all grades, one of my dearest friends, one of my oldest blue sky friends, the person who literally gave me the term goose and grabs, which has ear wormed into my brain forever.
Corrigan. Hello.
[00:02:31] Speaker A: Hey. I'm happy to be here. Finally. You. You got me at the. At the right time because I am a sleepy and so normally I'm in bed by now, but I'm in between, like, school terms at the moment. And so I'm like, I can stay up a little bit later. And also I actually like, slept a whole night last night. So like, wind me up and let me go.
[00:02:55] Speaker C: Here we go.
[00:02:56] Speaker B: Let's be naughty, let's be bad. Let's stay up till like 11, 10:30. Holy.
[00:03:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Got my ice cream.
[00:03:04] Speaker B: Yeah, we'll try to. Yeah. It has a little bit of caffeine in it. That's so good.
You're fancy feeling spicy. You were old friend of the Monday experiments that you know I'm sorry again. Thank you. And I'm sorry.
So we've been wanting to get you in for like the joyous ones for a while now. And speaking of the Monday experiments, here, Corey, here's a poncho just in case.
Also, apparently in the last couple of weeks. Here, you need this helmet. This is a hard hat situation.
And everyone, everyone in the theater has signed a waiver.
Our driver this evening.
Apple of mine eye. Yo.
Asoy a hemtocero.
[00:03:55] Speaker C: The music hits.
Pyro hits. And there's like the vroom vroom of the cozy coop.
Sounds very far away. And along with it comes a faint kind of rumbling.
[00:04:08] Speaker B: I have a thousand yard stare right now.
[00:04:11] Speaker C: The sound of popping fills the air along with the smell of butter flavored topping.
[00:04:16] Speaker A: Oh, no.
[00:04:18] Speaker C: From the previous cozy coupe pole. On the screen comes an avalanche of popcorn. Carrying a large war wig cozy coupe covered in factory detritus and powered by our large popcorn machine.
Small, nearly translucent possum minions shovel popcorn kernels into the kettle to keep it going.
So it's just chaos.
I'm just behind the wheel.
[00:04:42] Speaker B: No, that's physics. I hate to say. That's engineering. I'm actually a little proud.
[00:04:48] Speaker C: So like. Yeah, I was. It was. I tried the graph fingers on the wheels, but those didn't take. So this one's better.
Yeah. Drive forward with a trail of popcorn and butter flavor topping trailing our way.
[00:05:05] Speaker B: Awesome.
[00:05:06] Speaker C: Awesome. Get on in.
[00:05:08] Speaker B: Awesome. Wow. Okay, well, I don't.
[00:05:10] Speaker A: Is there a chant that goes along with the cozy coup?
[00:05:13] Speaker B: Is there like a. Oh, God. Well, normally, you know, normally they're screaming.
[00:05:19] Speaker C: Yeah, I mean, I just. Yeah, there's a lot. I scream a lot.
[00:05:23] Speaker B: Well, and everyone else is screaming. I'm actually, I'm looking around and I don't.
[00:05:28] Speaker C: Sirens.
[00:05:29] Speaker B: Wait, hold on, hold on. On.
I don't. I don't think you killed anyone.
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. What kind of oil are you cooking? This.
[00:05:41] Speaker C: This Coconut oil.
[00:05:44] Speaker B: Okay, anyone allergic to co. Okay, we got one down.
All right, the homunculi is coming out. The homunculi has the EpiPen. Okay. All right. It was all right. Wow. Holy.
All right, well, we got. Yeah, no, I'm proud of you. We got snacks.
[00:06:03] Speaker C: Told you. I'm missing on it.
[00:06:05] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. You did it.
Eat this at your own own risk, Corey, but popcorn for everyone.
I'm in.
And. Holy. You did it, Hampter. I'm so happy you're here. And you know, if you. If you can Keep this up, maybe we'll be profitable like we said. If you can stop killing people, maybe.
No.
Yeah. Okay, folks, can't see it, but there's. There's a shaking of the head going on.
[00:06:33] Speaker C: Nodding. I'm nodding too. I'm nodding. Yeah, we're. I'm working on it.
[00:06:37] Speaker B: Speaking. Speaking of nodding, our dear friend Corey is. Is. Is staying awake for us, so I'm going to get right to it. Where are we, Hampter? Where the hell are we this week?
[00:06:51] Speaker C: We're in Scotland.
[00:06:52] Speaker B: Oh, my God, we are.
[00:06:53] Speaker C: Location of. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: We're in GL. We're in GL. We'Re in Glasgow.
[00:07:00] Speaker A: Last night in Glasgow. So every single time they said it, that was what my brain was doing.
Very aware of where this dynamite took place.
[00:07:10] Speaker B: Makes me sing. I can tell you. I can tell you. I can tell you.
[00:07:12] Speaker A: Don't worry. I know.
Pick me. I've been there. Actually. I've been to Glass.
It's the only place in Scotland that I've ever been that's very. I went to go see Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy live, which is very nerdy reason to go to Scotland.
[00:07:29] Speaker C: Perfect reason to go to Scotland, honestly. Like, why not?
[00:07:32] Speaker A: Just great about it.
[00:07:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
Treasured memory, that is.
[00:07:37] Speaker B: Yeah, right.
[00:07:39] Speaker A: Little. At the time, I wasn't into it. At that point in my life. I didn't. I didn't know what I was missing yet.
[00:07:45] Speaker B: Yes. Oh, okay. Well, there you go. Well, I mean, whenever. Whenever that was in the. What we know of the UK scene, you probably. You're probably better off.
[00:07:53] Speaker A: Yes. Probably for the best.
[00:07:55] Speaker C: You know what else I'm missing?
[00:07:58] Speaker B: I'll say. Speaking of terrifying predatory things, do we have a Cryptid?
[00:08:03] Speaker A: We do have a Cryptid of the week.
[00:08:05] Speaker B: Yes. Yes.
[00:08:07] Speaker A: I'm excited about this. I was ready for this.
[00:08:09] Speaker C: This is. This is from Erica. Once again, she has come through with the Crypt of the Week. And honestly, I'm so grateful that she has decided to do this. And this one's also a fucking banger as well.
[00:08:22] Speaker B: If she can just manage to not call me out on my. My skepticisms, I. I.
[00:08:28] Speaker C: To temper expectations. That does not happen in this episode.
[00:08:33] Speaker B: All right. God. Thank God.
[00:08:34] Speaker C: Okay, okay, here's Cryptid.
I've never.
[00:08:40] Speaker B: Okay, here's Crypto of the Week after. All right.
[00:08:44] Speaker C: Sorry, I don't know how to pronounce that. And whatever they speak in Scotland other than English, so if you feel like attempting a Scottish accent, I literally cannot stop you because I'M not there.
Yeah. Just try not to get us canceled in the uk Anyway, if I haven't yet. I know.
Anyway, Dynamite is in Glasgow, Scotland. And the cryptid of the week is the Gorbal's Vampire.
[00:09:10] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:09:10] Speaker C: In the fall of 1954, the children of Glasgow started claiming to be seeing a seven foot tall vampire with metal fucking fangs stalking around the southern necropolis of the city.
[00:09:26] Speaker B: Yeah, I was gonna say like that. What's kind of metal?
[00:09:30] Speaker A: Very literal.
[00:09:31] Speaker B: That kind of a little hard.
[00:09:33] Speaker A: Right there goes pretty damn hard. Kids of Glasgow.
[00:09:38] Speaker C: Truly. And let's pause for a minute to also acknowledge how hardcore it is to call a cemetery a necropolis.
[00:09:44] Speaker A: Oh, hell yeah.
City of the dead. Is that.
[00:09:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:09:49] Speaker A: That means hell yeah quite literally into it. If you call a cemetery basically anything but a cemetery, it becomes like way cooler than cemetery factory.
Then it's making them and that makes things really interesting.
[00:10:05] Speaker C: That's true. Or the way the land. Well, I call back to last episode.
[00:10:08] Speaker B: That's fantastic.
[00:10:09] Speaker C: The landfill of the dead.
[00:10:14] Speaker B: Or the boonies of the dead.
[00:10:16] Speaker C: You know, like landfill of the dead.
[00:10:21] Speaker B: I still feel judged for hanging out in interesting places when I was a child.
Again, I say the cigarettes smoke the same.
[00:10:28] Speaker C: Anyway, rural locations. We understand. Anyways, this Iron Fang vampire had allegedly killed and eaten two boys. And the kids were panicked and the cops were no use.
[00:10:39] Speaker B: So it's like the cops. Unbothered.
[00:10:43] Speaker C: Shocking. Ab Cab Forever.
[00:10:46] Speaker B: So like a black cab. Yeah.
[00:10:49] Speaker C: Movie out of the 1980s. The kids took matters into their own hands.
[00:10:53] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:10:55] Speaker C: After school one day, hundreds of kids went into the necropolis armed with all manners of anti vampire weapons with the intent to just straight up kill this thing.
[00:11:06] Speaker A: Listen, this is why I don't. With British kids, okay. British kids are the scariest children on the planet. You don't. This is like, you know, they just had the stuff for that. They didn't even have to like go like make it or whatever, you know, like they're not like. There's no Home Alone sequence where they're putting it all together. They just like went under their bed and we're like, all right, here's like my mace.
[00:11:27] Speaker B: Or whatever we have for terrorizing whoever we see is different.
[00:11:33] Speaker C: I think it's islands. I think when you live on an island.
[00:11:36] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:11:37] Speaker C: Maybe something to that Immediately become slightly more deranged.
[00:11:41] Speaker B: You are right. Well, I think you're ready to throw down at any point because there's literally a premium on land.
[00:11:50] Speaker C: You're always under the understanding that you can be pushed off into the Ocean.
[00:11:56] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.
[00:11:57] Speaker A: That'll make you a little nutty.
[00:11:59] Speaker C: Yes, it's true.
Okay, so anyways, they're all up in the Zerg. Rush tactics.
Surely some children would die in the attempt, but the cops weren't going to help, so they needed to protect each other.
Yes, they went through it. Went at it through the night with torches and spooked themselves at shadows in the early morning evening fog. And then it bailed when it started to rain. They did this two more nights in a row.
[00:12:28] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:12:29] Speaker C: The media started reporting on it and now adults were like, oh, fuck, what do the kids know?
[00:12:34] Speaker A: And they.
[00:12:36] Speaker B: I love how this went from attack the block to like, like kids trying to like create third spaces because they've been taken from them and they start freaking out.
[00:12:47] Speaker A: This is like the. The Nightcrawlers episode of Pete and Pete at this point. Yeah. Yes, and I'm here for it.
[00:12:56] Speaker B: Yes, more, more, more.
[00:12:58] Speaker C: Anyways, everybody blamed it on horror comic books being too scary, of course.
Honest. So I gotta be honest, I actually can't predict what Ella will say about this one.
Probably something about Gangrel. Who can say? I'm not rested enough to make it solid gas. The metal fangs thing is pretty neat. This might have been the coolest thing this generation has ever done, which was mass hysteria chasing around a dude fanging and a banging with the Scottish dead.
All great, true, if you think about it. What is this, 1954? Yeah, that's some. That's some boomer generation. Yeah, that's.
[00:13:37] Speaker B: No, that was absolutely just a dude fanging and banging. Yeah, that's exactly what that was.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: Did you say what. Did they have a name for this? I might have missed it.
Feel like you might have said it and I just zoned it out.
[00:13:55] Speaker C: Gorbals G O R B A L S.
[00:14:01] Speaker A: Vampire.
[00:14:02] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:14:03] Speaker A: I mean, it doesn't. The name is less metal than like its countenance, that's for sure.
[00:14:09] Speaker C: Yeah, just lead with the metal fangs.
[00:14:12] Speaker A: Yeah, like I call them like Lead Face or like Aluminium Face or whatever the they call it over there.
[00:14:19] Speaker B: You know, the more I'm thinking about it, like. Yeah, no, I gotta get. Like, would I have gotten there if Erica hadn't planted it? Maybe, maybe not.
[00:14:30] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:14:31] Speaker B: But yeah, let's just say it was just. Gangrel was actually a vampire.
[00:14:34] Speaker C: Yeah, why not?
[00:14:36] Speaker B: It was just banging and banging in Glasgow.
[00:14:39] Speaker C: No.
[00:14:39] Speaker B: Yeah.
Amazing. Well, speaking.
Speaking of fanging and banging, we are here for grapses.
[00:14:51] Speaker C: Sure are.
Which is why we're going to start out with a five minute segment when will ospreay.
[00:15:00] Speaker A: I don't, I don't know if Ella has told you this, but I have a very low Osprey tolerance.
Yeah, I know that. I know that. I'm, you know, in good company here from past episodes, but my.
Yeah, loathing of Osprey knows no bounds. And this has been. This whole buildup to all in has been a little bit of a chore. Like, why don't feed me like, you know, five to 20 minute segments of like Willow Night, Gale Nightingale and Mercedes Monet. I'm on board for that, but I do. I just. He just.
He doesn't have anything to say. The man has nothing to say and I hate his stupid face.
[00:15:44] Speaker B: You can tell. You can tell because he keeps leaving tease out of the entire conversation.
[00:15:50] Speaker A: Okay, now as a person who doesn't pronounce tease, a little bit of offense.
[00:15:55] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:15:56] Speaker B: He literally said no. Okay, look, this man literally said British and I like that.
Like, I, like, I lost my mind.
[00:16:07] Speaker C: It was.
[00:16:08] Speaker A: There's a clip going around, I don't know if either of you saw it, but of him on like this morning show in the uk.
Good morning Britain.
Oh, see, I don't know.
I was like, damn it, this cracks up my Welsh co host that I'm the one who doesn't pronounce teas. But I'm from western Massachusetts, I can't help it.
But like his, the, his accent is like so willy nilly. It's like he picked the most British way he could say any given word. It's not like a coherent accent. It's just like whichever thing is going to be the most British. It's like why it bothers me, I think.
[00:16:48] Speaker B: And because, and I think it's because. Not just because of all the other things he's done to us.
[00:16:54] Speaker A: That's a whole other thing altogether. Even if I didn't hate him as a person, he would annoy me.
[00:16:59] Speaker B: I could do a whole episode on that. And we have so not to retread that ground.
[00:17:05] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:17:05] Speaker B: I think it really comes down to the fact that I'm very fond of my Irish aunt ancestry.
So when I hear him, yes, super proud British Englishman talk, I, I just flame flames on the side of my face.
Rest in peace, Tim Curry.
The reference to.
[00:17:30] Speaker A: Yeah, you can feel the, the ancestors coming up red.
[00:17:35] Speaker B: Just righteous. No, just get out. Get, get out of here. Go home. Black and turns.
[00:17:41] Speaker A: Yeah, It's a hard thing, right? Like someone being like, I have to bring this home for my country or whatever, and that country is England.
Nah, it's very hard to get behind,
[00:17:54] Speaker C: like Argentina and football. You're like, right.
[00:17:57] Speaker A: Like.
[00:17:59] Speaker B: Or like when MJF tried to try to do like USA shit in Canada, at least I was heel. Yeah.
[00:18:07] Speaker A: You know, it was heal. He wasn't like being like, genuine about it. You know, when he goes to Mexico and does his and you know, jingoistic nonsense, like, it's funny because everyone knows that's the. That's the joke.
[00:18:20] Speaker B: Everyone hates us. Yeah. But it's like, sincerely, we're a detestable country.
[00:18:27] Speaker A: Sincerely coming in and being like, you know, I'm doing this for. Also they act like he's the only British guy in the company.
[00:18:34] Speaker C: You know, Nigel McGinnis is right there.
Speaking of a conglomeration of. Yeah.
[00:18:40] Speaker B: No, not even my favorite.
[00:18:46] Speaker C: Oh my gosh. Wow. That's rough, bro.
[00:18:47] Speaker A: Right?
[00:18:48] Speaker C: And I like, packed more. Oh my God.
[00:18:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Who doesn't like, pack more deeper.
[00:18:52] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:18:54] Speaker A: So, yeah, my take on the first five minutes of this episode.
[00:18:59] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:19:00] Speaker B: Yeah. Ariel Assad said that ain't gonna happen. And then I stopped paying attention.
[00:19:06] Speaker C: I mean, I give him props for being very genuine, but his.
That doesn't carry enough heat for any. For me.
[00:19:14] Speaker A: Right.
[00:19:14] Speaker C: Like, I believe that he's authentic, that this is probably as close to his true self as, like we'll ever see. And it's a decent face, but, you
[00:19:24] Speaker B: know, it's so sad.
[00:19:26] Speaker A: I.
[00:19:26] Speaker C: Like, I just thought he would. I. I mean, this is a fall from when he was. When the death. With the death writers. And I thought that was just a lot more interesting with how this could all shake out.
[00:19:37] Speaker B: So, like, no, that's the thing is like, it. All of this was really cool. And then they just said, all right, now pick it up. And. And like, and. And it just. It's off. A really cool thing fell apart and it just kind of feels.
It feels badly executed. I mean, I guess there's lots of things to consider that I didn't necessarily consider. We. We can't forget that. That Kenny Omega this run.
Like, I don't know.
[00:20:10] Speaker A: For me, that's worse.
I just don't want this to be.
We're ending everything off.
[00:20:17] Speaker B: You know, I. I would per. I very much still would like him to win and then eventually lose it to Okada.
All that and call that. And then anyways, so. Yeah, but like, you know, that's a thing. But like, it just. It all seems too inevitable. We've said it before, we'll say it again. And. And it's just gross and not fun.
And it's just. It seems fetty to me, and I. Yes, that's a pejorative to me. They're literally a fascist company. Yes. So, like, I have no problem saying. I forget what wrestler it was where it's like, well, you don't. We. We don't got on WWE just because you like. Aw. I'm like, well, I like.
[00:20:58] Speaker C: Awesome.
[00:20:59] Speaker B: Oh, mj.
[00:20:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:21:00] Speaker B: Yeah. It's like, no, it's not because I. It's not because I like aaw. It's because I'm anti.
[00:21:04] Speaker A: Yes. I hate. Yeah, yeah.
[00:21:08] Speaker C: This is. You just, like, sit down.
[00:21:10] Speaker A: I'm getting twisted. You have the causes mixed up.
[00:21:14] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Like, you got the spirit, but, like, you're not quite there. Yeah, shut the up.
[00:21:20] Speaker C: You're not involved in this. This isn't about you.
[00:21:23] Speaker B: Like, yeah, shut up, Max. You're out of your element.
[00:21:31] Speaker A: Exactly.
I love the man, but I mean, sometimes.
[00:21:36] Speaker B: So.
[00:21:36] Speaker C: Yeah, who doesn't need to sit down and shut the up.
[00:21:40] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:21:44] Speaker C: John Mox.
[00:21:45] Speaker A: There we go. Yeah.
[00:21:46] Speaker B: Thank you. Thank you so much. I was gonna say.
[00:21:49] Speaker C: Sorry, I wanted to. I. I know I like to transition. Yeah.
[00:21:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, really?
Really?
[00:21:57] Speaker C: Hams. These hams, you mean.
[00:21:59] Speaker B: Oh. Oh, you like to turn. Oh, do you Was gonna say Corey likes to transition. Our sis Hat likes to transition.
[00:22:06] Speaker A: Hey, this transition is approved.
[00:22:08] Speaker B: That is literally our joke. You don't.
It's. It's our.
[00:22:18] Speaker A: Immediately.
[00:22:18] Speaker B: Yeah, immediately.
That's my overused bit. Okay.
[00:22:23] Speaker A: What do I do in Columbus? The Russell Queers, instantly.
This is what we do.
[00:22:31] Speaker B: You being the one not white person here is also making all of this just so delicious.
[00:22:36] Speaker A: Nobody at home can tell this.
[00:22:38] Speaker B: That's why I'm like, I need everyone to know how funny this is.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: I think what's funny is the last time that you had me come for a podcast was the.
Your other podcast has such a long name. The.
The one where you argue against each. The like versus election. The most important election of our lives.
[00:23:01] Speaker B: You talk about Carl Urban, but it
[00:23:04] Speaker A: was very funny because I was sitting, like, in the dark, and so in the glow of my, like, computer screen, it made me look, like, very pale and blue.
I think it wasn't until the end that your black colleague realized that I was black.
[00:23:20] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:23:20] Speaker A: Oh, yeah.
[00:23:21] Speaker B: Brandon was like, wait a minute.
[00:23:22] Speaker A: Yeah, I used a we. That. That.
Yeah, no, I am.
I am skin folk.
[00:23:37] Speaker B: So that. That I just. That I as. As we're making those goofs. I'm like, the level of. The level of funny. That's not happening for everyone else.
[00:23:46] Speaker C: Here.
[00:23:47] Speaker B: Like, this is so good. Anyways, the English, Claudio and Mox, the Swedes, are a lot Swiss. Swiss is a lot better.
We love us some Swiss money.
Ohio, not the greatest. But Cincinnati. Sure.
[00:24:04] Speaker A: Oh,
[00:24:07] Speaker C: sure.
[00:24:09] Speaker A: 98 degrees is from. So, yeah. There you go.
[00:24:13] Speaker B: Isn't it? Or is he from Cleveland?
[00:24:15] Speaker A: No, he's. He's from Cincinnati. Yeah.
[00:24:17] Speaker B: Okay, so we'll give him that.
[00:24:19] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:24:19] Speaker B: Or maybe that's a strike against it. Who knows?
[00:24:23] Speaker A: It depends on the perspective you're coming from. But when Claudio entered, there's something about that mask. That look made me feel like it would make you feel congested.
Looks like it'd be hard to breathe out of that. Like, it's like the nose was emphasized in such a way that that was all I could think about until he took it off.
[00:24:46] Speaker B: I hope AEW someday gives me the opportunity to find out.
Tony. That's all I'm saying.
[00:24:54] Speaker A: I know you're listening right now.
[00:24:56] Speaker C: Please.
[00:24:57] Speaker B: We know you do.
Please, Mr. Tony Khan, I don't have a job. You also, you know, bother you about that again.
But if you could. If you. If you could make a pay what you're able to. Claudio mask at the Aw Shop, that would be amazing.
And I would. You would. You would be printing some money. I'm sure.
[00:25:26] Speaker C: I'm soon. I'm sure that it will be on there soon enough.
[00:25:29] Speaker A: Did you see they're selling, like, the mini Monet puppets.
Yeah. And they're only 40 bucks. I'm like, that's, like, as much as a T shirt costs on this website. That's not.
[00:25:38] Speaker C: That's wild. Yeah. I didn't know how much they were, but I. Yeah, I've seen them. They're very cute.
[00:25:43] Speaker A: Yeah. I was, like, this close to buying it.
[00:25:44] Speaker B: I was, like, had my birthday. What the.
Ah.
[00:25:48] Speaker A: Yeah. And they only announced this, like, yesterday or the day before. I just spent $85 on a Willow Nightingale shirt, so I cannot buy mini.
That's a great shirt.
[00:25:59] Speaker C: I was admiring that. Yeah.
[00:26:01] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[00:26:02] Speaker A: I feel like it was. It was worth it.
[00:26:04] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:26:04] Speaker B: Meanwhile, I'm looking at. I'm looking at. Well, I can say it now, because by the time this comes out, it will be revealed. I am looking at the new E bike that a friend of general podcasting just straight up bought me. And guess what. Guess what? Her name. Willows are good backs. Even better than the dream.
[00:26:33] Speaker A: Shout out to Willow. To all the willows, but especially this willow.
[00:26:38] Speaker B: We love Willows and we love.
[00:26:40] Speaker A: Sorry, I distracted.
[00:26:41] Speaker B: That's okay. We love. We Love violence of amongst stable mates. We'll say stable mates.
Bath house mates.
[00:26:53] Speaker C: So we. The match starts off with this, that basically grapple that moves into a chop chest.
[00:27:00] Speaker A: Yeah, I was surprised that like Russell sky was not commenting on all the grapple happening there. I like, legitimately I wasn't on Blue sky. And then I was like, oh, I gotta see what people are saying about this. I saw nothing. Nobody was pointing it out.
[00:27:14] Speaker B: No, seriously. And it's kind of wild because later on for, for the other one with Nigel, they're all about the grapple.
[00:27:23] Speaker C: Yeah, this, this, there was this set the stage for a lot of the rest of the cards.
Yeah, this also was heavily up. This was full of uppercuts.
[00:27:33] Speaker B: Like if you are so much uppercut,
[00:27:35] Speaker C: if something is not said, it's because it's just an uppercut and it's Claudio uppercutting Mox. That's all, that's all he did.
Chokes and locks are huge. Huge in grapple fucking as well. Because it's just, it's a go home show. And everybody's like, okay, body shots.
Working the left, we're lurking, working the left arms, our left legs, except for Nigel who's is broken down.
And yeah, and we're, we're doing the, the chokes and the holds.
[00:28:08] Speaker B: So. Yeah, like no one's getting hurt tonight. Okay.
[00:28:12] Speaker A: Yeah, pretty much.
[00:28:14] Speaker B: Meanwhile, Brian Cage is like, oh, man, you know, that's next match. We'll get there. We'll get there. Yeah, he's just so large.
[00:28:23] Speaker A: He's so large.
[00:28:26] Speaker B: But this match, yeah, this match, grapple and just like, I don't know, like I didn't take any notes because I was just like, this is exactly. It's, it's. It what it says on the tin. This is Claudio and Mox.
[00:28:40] Speaker C: Yeah.
Gets a figure 4. Claudio gets the first giant swing of the night into a barricade which looks sick.
[00:28:53] Speaker B: Oh, God.
Rocked him. Just rocked him.
[00:28:57] Speaker C: And that starts the beginning of the left arm abuse.
[00:29:01] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:29:03] Speaker C: Claudia goes for a neutralizer. Mox evades and slaps Claudio across the face and tells him to bring it. And he does. And Mox sends him through the ropes and then gets his, his little tope
[00:29:16] Speaker B: baby face tope.
[00:29:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:29:19] Speaker C: Back in the ring, Mox is favoring his left arm and he and Claudio exchange strikes and uppercuts. It's uppercuts all the way down and. Except when Claudio's like, wait. And then kicks his leg.
[00:29:32] Speaker B: Yeah, basically
[00:29:35] Speaker C: there's a familiarity exchange. When Mox tries paradigm shift. Claudio escapes and Mox gets an arm bar, which transitions into a rear chin lock.
[00:29:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:29:45] Speaker C: And then they go back to more grapple on the mat.
[00:29:50] Speaker B: I really love that whole story. Like, the whole story of, like. Like, he's like, when all else fails, I'm just gonna try to get you in a joke. Like, he does that throughout the whole match, but. Sorry, I feel like I cut someone off.
[00:30:03] Speaker A: Oh, no, that's okay.
[00:30:05] Speaker B: But, yeah, no, anyways, continue, Tony.
[00:30:07] Speaker C: Tony says, man, this isn't a fight. This is a struggle. And that's super real.
[00:30:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:30:13] Speaker C: Finally, Mox fights to get free and goes for an arm bar of his own. And then we get the second massive swing of the night, where he just goes for, like, eight seconds. Eight to ten seconds.
Follows up with more uppercuts.
[00:30:26] Speaker B: Just take a nap at that point.
[00:30:28] Speaker A: I was about to say exhausting.
[00:30:31] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Just close my eyes. Just kind of drifted out. Yeah,
[00:30:37] Speaker C: he's.
[00:30:37] Speaker A: He.
[00:30:37] Speaker C: Mox does drift, but he's drifting. Gazing his eyes towards the Continental cup for till the count of eight before he gets his lazy ass back into the ring.
[00:30:49] Speaker A: Well played.
[00:30:50] Speaker C: And then immediately gets stomped on by Claudio.
[00:30:53] Speaker B: Oh, that was so good. Because that's a Mox move.
[00:30:57] Speaker C: Yeah, it is.
[00:30:58] Speaker B: Oh, that's such a Mox move as you send him out, let him come in, and the whole time you're just waiting to stomp them. Oh, beautiful, beautiful storytelling between these lovers. I mean, stable mates.
I'm sorry.
[00:31:13] Speaker C: Slip of a tongue. I mean, Claudio hits a neutralizer for two.
Frustrated, Claudio rises and takes off his elbow sleeves and winds up for a. You guessed it.
Staggers to his feet, turns, and just light falls down. Yeah, he goes for the uppercut, and Mox just falls down, like.
[00:31:38] Speaker B: Anyway, I love that move. I love that.
Makes me think of Kenny. Kenny duck in the Rainmaker by just falling down.
[00:31:49] Speaker C: Just sitting down. It. Incredible.
[00:31:51] Speaker A: I think that'd be my method.
[00:31:57] Speaker C: Excuse me there.
[00:31:58] Speaker A: Rolling.
[00:31:59] Speaker C: Walking away from an obvious moonsault.
[00:32:02] Speaker A: Like, it's just a favorite for sure.
[00:32:04] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:32:06] Speaker B: I think of in first wrestling Opossum just literally playing dead always. Y. And. And then when the person gets confused, you know, boom. Roll up from behind nine. I've seen. I've seen it.
[00:32:20] Speaker C: Yeah. Click. Roll up.
[00:32:21] Speaker B: I've seen it win matches. I'm just saying.
[00:32:23] Speaker C: I love those small packages. They're so good.
[00:32:26] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly.
[00:32:28] Speaker C: Which quickly approaches its end. And Moxley lands on his feet and drops Castagnoli with a paradigm shift. But casting only kicks out at one, and the crowd loses their goddamn minds.
[00:32:39] Speaker A: Is that allowed I don't know that
[00:32:42] Speaker C: you can't do that.
[00:32:44] Speaker B: Like, do not forget that I am not human.
I am almost superior Mother.
[00:32:52] Speaker C: Yeah, you can't. I train with this, bro.
[00:32:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:32:57] Speaker C: Moxley bounces off the ropes, goes out, goes down with a death rider for two count and then transitions to a choke. Castagnoli fights back up to his feet, but Moxley adjusts his grip to get the bulldog choke in and locks it in.
And Bastian Newly passes out. And the bell rings. He gets the J. White treatment down the end.
[00:33:21] Speaker B: Really, really, really, really fun match from them. And, like, great. Greatly told.
Like, the, like. Yeah, it was all grapple and just like that thing of, like, oh, it was so real. It was exactly what I wanted from them. Where it's like the store. They told the story and the story is so real. Like, this guy's huge. He's more powerful. I'm not going to knock him out because. Because he's superhuman.
[00:33:45] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:33:46] Speaker B: Like. Like, it's not going to be strikes. It's. Yeah. It's not gonna be paradigm shifts. I'm to have to choke the life out of the giant.
And that's like, every time.
[00:33:55] Speaker A: Yeah. Adjust what they're doing to the opponent, you know, because obviously there's, you know, wrestlers who are good at a particular type of thing, you know, and then when you get this, someone who has, like, the range to be like, all right, this is not gonna work with this. This guy.
Let's do this on this level. You know, Like, I think that, you
[00:34:13] Speaker B: know what you need oxygen.
You know what I'm taking away. You guessed it.
[00:34:22] Speaker C: This also says something about the. The L. You know, this is a lot easier of an L to take because you're just. Your body literally gives out. You can't. There's not. You cannot control it. Your body shuts down because that's what your body needs to do as opposed
[00:34:37] Speaker B: to eating a pin.
[00:34:38] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:34:39] Speaker C: There's no tap. It's a little bit like. It's not. God damn it. It's a little bit like Austin comes back from WrestleMania 13 and he's like, I didn't say I quit because he bled the out, like,
[00:34:55] Speaker B: and that's why they did that.
Do you see? Do you see what I made? They are still going.
I gave up. Up. I was like, I'm too get too depressed by this. I can't keep watching Monday Night wars and Hampter's like, I must go on.
[00:35:12] Speaker A: Nevertheless, persisting.
[00:35:14] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, persisting.
[00:35:16] Speaker C: And I'm hitting all the great Wrestle like moments. And then when I say great, that's a very loaded term. Like, we just. We started Spring Stampede 97 and Booker T.
Drops, Mississippi.
[00:35:34] Speaker B: Oh, boy, I remember that. Have you ever seen that, Corey?
[00:35:39] Speaker A: I have not.
[00:35:40] Speaker C: No soul tries to leaving his body
[00:35:44] Speaker B: because he's like, I'm getting fired.
And. And oh, my God. And his teammates just like, oh, we're both getting fired.
[00:35:52] Speaker C: I made a joke. I made a joke. I said, what is it? Stevie Ray could have said the true name of God directly after that and nobody would have ever heard it.
[00:36:03] Speaker B: Like, it was in the best park where he was directed at Hulk Hogan.
[00:36:08] Speaker C: Yes. It was
[00:36:12] Speaker A: phenomenal. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:36:15] Speaker C: So it was like, no, no. Deserved. Yeah.
[00:36:19] Speaker B: And just like, he's just like, use one of those things where it's like, no, he was just. Just talking and he forgot and. Yeah, yeah,
[00:36:29] Speaker A: Boy.
[00:36:31] Speaker B: Poor Sherry's like rubbing him on the back like, it's okay, she's losing. She's just keeps smiling, just like trying not to lose it.
[00:36:38] Speaker A: Like. So what did happen after?
Do we know?
[00:36:42] Speaker B: No, no, he. We don't know that he didn't get fired.
[00:36:48] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[00:36:51] Speaker B: Find it on YouTube. It's so was.
[00:36:53] Speaker C: It is fantastic. Yeah, they blur. I watched it on the Internet archive and they blur. They blur it to sucker, sucker, sucker. And I was like, oh, wow, that's actually real good dub. But then you see the reactions and he just starts shouting things, which is understandable because that's literally anything else. Than what?
[00:37:16] Speaker B: Yeah, than what you just said, dude. Like, oh, no.
[00:37:22] Speaker A: Maybe if I just keep talking, everyone will forget that.
[00:37:26] Speaker B: Thank you for that. Absolutely insane.
[00:37:30] Speaker C: I'm here. Yeah, Sorry.
[00:37:33] Speaker B: No, now I'm good. Yeah. Getting the war rig. Call the pod.
[00:37:38] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:37:38] Speaker C: Okay, so we're in a trios match.
[00:37:41] Speaker A: Can I just ask a question real quick?
[00:37:43] Speaker C: Sure, yeah. Please go.
[00:37:44] Speaker A: Do you.
[00:37:45] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:37:46] Speaker A: Do you copy this? Like, are you writing all this down as you watch the show?
[00:37:52] Speaker C: So. Yes.
[00:37:53] Speaker A: So impressed.
[00:37:54] Speaker B: The look of shame.
[00:37:57] Speaker A: That should be a look of pride. This is one of those things that I always say. I mean, I'm a relatively new wrestling fan in the scheme of wrestling fans, right.
And so one of the things I say is like, I appreciate like, Excalibur, obviously, you know, know, saying what every move is and things like that, but I don't have, like, kind of recognition to then like, when I see that move again in the wild, be like, oh, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And so I'm very impressed by being able to write this all down as it's going or whatever.
[00:38:27] Speaker B: Yeah. I can never take off like that.
[00:38:29] Speaker A: Wow, look at that.
[00:38:31] Speaker C: And then it goes digital and then I search to make sure that the. The moves that I'm quoting are correct.
[00:38:39] Speaker B: Are you love it what you.
[00:38:48] Speaker A: I mean would you also be doing this if you weren't on a podcast? Like is this like a thing you would just do?
[00:38:54] Speaker C: No.
[00:38:55] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:38:56] Speaker B: Do you have any idea how bad I feel that you just like you do so much work? I mean I edit this every other week and I and I goof off in Canva for half an hour.
[00:39:10] Speaker C: Yeah. It's getting a lot easier because I'm cutting a considerable amount like this and I'm stressing a lot less about it. But I like you. I can't just spot moves. So I. Right.
[00:39:22] Speaker A: Okay.
Yeah. Listening to what he's saying. Okay. That's still super impressive.
[00:39:29] Speaker C: Some of the ones I know in like her Corona.
[00:39:31] Speaker A: Yeah yeah, sure.
[00:39:33] Speaker C: Yeah. But in your getting that and like.
[00:39:34] Speaker A: Yeah, it's like. I think there's some things that we all can kind of like pick out or whatever, you know like. Okay yeah. That's obviously. I know what a power bomb is.
[00:39:42] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:39:42] Speaker A: Like that. But no, that's pretty impressive to write all of that stuff down and be able to like and across check and everything. You know, shout out right there.
[00:39:51] Speaker B: Yeah.
When Hampter drives it's. It's something else.
[00:39:57] Speaker C: Oh boy. It's so funny because the more unhinged episodes I think are with Erica because she is just. She just says yes and all the time and doesn't. Isn't it stuck to her notes? I get very.
[00:40:10] Speaker B: And also Erica will sometimes have. Will have sometimes have notes where it just like I just kind of shut up and watch this one and and we'll. But those are usually the matches where we're all like yeah like that was real good.
That being said this. This trio's match pretty fun but also I think the most filler of the entire show.
[00:40:36] Speaker A: Did we say. I think I interrupted before you got a chance to say who it so
[00:40:41] Speaker B: we got Cope and then the bucks urine stained. Yeah yeah. Jesus.
[00:40:48] Speaker C: Fresh from the urethra. Sorry.
[00:40:51] Speaker A: Kidney stone joke.
[00:40:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Corey, I don't know if you listen to the show regularly, but we are the number one body horror wrestling podcast and last week we had. We decided to have a bit where what if kidney stones were actually wrestlers.
Shout out to the person who commented on Spotify about passing the Kidnite Express.
That sounds really rough.
[00:41:17] Speaker A: That's good.
[00:41:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Well done.
[00:41:20] Speaker C: Thank you.
I love you like.
[00:41:22] Speaker B: And subscribe. Yeah, yeah.
So a very, very moist young Bucks and Cope versus Was Don Callis.
[00:41:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
Rocky Romero also there to eat those Pin.
[00:41:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:41:42] Speaker C: So this is basically. And the reason why you're saying that it's a filler is because this is basically like a rehash of the last two of their trios matches where it was just Don Callis, Bruisers and the other trio's team.
[00:41:57] Speaker A: Like.
[00:41:57] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, enough.
The fun fact about this is that it was supposed to be an eight man to egg match, but, like, off Bucks kept kicking him in the face and he was like, I'm not gonna play with that. And so he was like, I'm out.
[00:42:16] Speaker B: Accidents. Yeah, sure.
[00:42:22] Speaker A: The.
I was so confused at first when Christian Cage came out and the crowd seemed to be doing the hey Baby song.
And I was like, what? Why are they singing hey baby over him? Until I realized they're saying, hey, Christian, I want to know will you be my dad?
What was actually being sung by the cold.
Well done.
[00:42:55] Speaker B: I was gonna say. Yeah, I was gonna say. So, like, real. Real speech speak for a moment here as this is so to say, we talk a lot of. About the English and they deserve it.
[00:43:06] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:43:07] Speaker B: But. But English rest.
[00:43:11] Speaker A: They know how to chant.
[00:43:12] Speaker C: Yeah, they do.
[00:43:15] Speaker A: It comes from the footy, man.
[00:43:16] Speaker B: It comes from the footy.
[00:43:18] Speaker C: Exactly.
[00:43:18] Speaker A: Right.
[00:43:19] Speaker C: Yes. Yes.
[00:43:21] Speaker B: Oh, it's just next level.
[00:43:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:43:24] Speaker B: Because Christian Cage, will you be my dad?
[00:43:27] Speaker A: Be my dad
[00:43:32] Speaker C: Chanting, who's your daddy? Okay.
[00:43:34] Speaker B: No, I like, that's like the only way that could have been better. If it had been like, hey, Christian, who? I want to know, will you bang my mom?
That's the only way that could have been better.
So anyone who's listening to this who might be going to all in.
[00:43:55] Speaker A: Yeah. Maybe an alternative.
[00:43:56] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:43:57] Speaker B: You. You get that Going mission.
Yeah.
Someone I know got a ice chant going at the end at the My Chemical Romance show.
[00:44:07] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:10] Speaker B: Well, Gerard asked, like, tell me about. Well, he was like, asked me about Minneapolis and they're like ice. And so the entire target center.
That's all. That's all you got to know about us right now.
[00:44:24] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:44:24] Speaker A: You know. Yeah.
I think this is whenever I've brought friends to dynamite and things like that with me.
[00:44:31] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:31] Speaker A: Like, they have immediately jumped on board the chanting, like, oh, I'm supposed to do this. Sweet. I'm in it. We just love to do it. We love to do it. And you know, gotta say, the. The Brits do do it better than we do.
[00:44:48] Speaker B: They really do.
[00:44:48] Speaker C: Anybody with a football team yeah.
[00:44:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:53] Speaker C: We also get a good. We do also get a very light. But it's their ice chant following the Don Callis chant.
I love.
I love that Don Callis gets booed and, like, pulled the off on every single continent. Like, that fills my heart with joy.
[00:45:12] Speaker B: There's not a single place where he's loved, not even Canada, where he's from. Like, the man is universally hated. It's. It's really pretty great.
[00:45:21] Speaker C: Yeah, There's. I was just kind of get through this match. Nick is the. The. Is the Jackson that gets bullied this week last week, and Nick's getting it this week.
He. The one thing to notice when I noticed is he goes for the springboard moonsault, and Cage botches the catch.
[00:45:42] Speaker A: Like, he.
[00:45:42] Speaker C: He does grab him, but he. It's slightly botched.
And then he puts them up into one of those prolonged vertical suplexes before smashing down.
[00:45:53] Speaker B: He is large, but, you know, it's hard to catch a person. It is.
[00:45:57] Speaker C: It is very large. Yeah. And they're fast, you know?
[00:46:00] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:46:00] Speaker A: Never had the opportunity to try it.
[00:46:03] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:46:03] Speaker A: But I'd like to give her a go sometimes. Throw a person, and I'd like to catch a person. I'd like to be on both ends of that at some point. I'd like to be thrown, maybe.
[00:46:12] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:46:12] Speaker B: Now you mention it.
[00:46:14] Speaker A: Yeah. I'd like to be swung. I do the Claudio swing. I don't know if I really want to be.
[00:46:18] Speaker B: Oh, I want to be Claudio.
[00:46:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:46:22] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, that's what I want.
[00:46:24] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:46:25] Speaker B: I just think that a giant swing from Claudia would, like, fix my.
[00:46:29] Speaker A: Can you just imagine? Like, every single thing in your body would pop. It'd be like.
[00:46:34] Speaker B: That's what I'm saying.
That's what I'm talking about. Like, everything at once just popping in and going like, you know what? You're better now.
[00:46:44] Speaker A: Yeah. Be like. I'd be doing the, like, Willy Wonka roll with the cane after that. You know, like, tada fix.
[00:46:55] Speaker C: Like, clapping in the British crowd.
[00:46:58] Speaker B: Y' all keep potting. I'll be right back. I'll look into something.
[00:47:03] Speaker A: What else we got going on?
[00:47:04] Speaker C: What else we got? Okay, so Brian hears the apron. So Nick. When Nick finally lands in vision clears. There's no one to get in his corner to tag.
Robbie Cage takes Nick up to the top for a lung blower. But next hits. Hits a Harkarana, and Adam tags himself in and starts cleaning house.
Doyle gets some friendly fire when he gets thrown into Rocky and Cage.
[00:47:34] Speaker A: And I do also, like, a Little bit of friendly fire. I always find that entertaining for heels.
[00:47:40] Speaker C: It's so good because they usually do heinous, like underhanded. So it's nice.
[00:47:44] Speaker A: Right?
[00:47:45] Speaker C: It backfires on him.
[00:47:47] Speaker A: That's totally it. Yeah. It's very rewarding.
[00:47:49] Speaker C: It very is I. Another rewarding aspect is I love it. I love anti air these days. So Brian or Doyle turns into a meat wall and just blocks Adam's spear. He's just a boom.
[00:48:03] Speaker A: Yeah.
That's physical comedy and I'm into it. Yeah.
[00:48:09] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:48:11] Speaker A: My love for slapstick very much transfers over into wrestling. Truly does.
[00:48:16] Speaker C: It often is. It's vaudeville. It's slapstick. It's all the things.
[00:48:20] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:48:21] Speaker B: All those things I love as. As the self appointed certified person for certifying what is and is not wrestling.
Comedy wrestling is wrestling wrestling.
[00:48:31] Speaker C: It is.
[00:48:33] Speaker B: Yeah. Evil Uno said so join Dark Order. Just saying.
[00:48:36] Speaker A: Hey.
[00:48:40] Speaker C: Bucks in action. And this time they narrowly avoid doing friendly fire without him. Imagine that.
Don Calla's family runs the whip on Copeland.
Which is definitely not a Death Rider train.
[00:48:56] Speaker B: Yeah, it's different. It's totally.
[00:48:58] Speaker C: It's different. It's totally different. There's a whip here
[00:49:03] Speaker A: anyways.
[00:49:04] Speaker B: Holy.
[00:49:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:49:10] Speaker B: Hey, hey, hey. We're all millennials here. Okay.
[00:49:15] Speaker A: I know the clip.
[00:49:17] Speaker B: I know what you're talking about.
[00:49:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:49:22] Speaker C: So they. And then the. The whip is followed by a Don Callis family beat down with Rocky getting a nice sliced bread from the rope. Ropes.
[00:49:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:30] Speaker C: Bucks finally rally and take down Doyle and caged lead being Rocky. And with Adam in the ring. Rocky seems to have it in hand. When he does that thing that he always does when you know he's gonna eat the pen.
[00:49:43] Speaker B: Yep.
[00:49:44] Speaker C: And the Bucks back of the head.
[00:49:46] Speaker B: Yeah. That thing where he's like behind you. You're gonna die. You're gonna die.
[00:49:53] Speaker A: Okay. Yes. Someone on Blue sky had like post something like so. Oh, what like crazy way is you know he going to eat the pin this time. And it was like oh, just regular way.
[00:50:02] Speaker B: No, just the Noral Rocky way.
[00:50:04] Speaker A: Normal kind nor just normal guy.
[00:50:10] Speaker C: This is a non named Wednesday night show. This is a go home show. I'm sorry. This is a 9 to 5.
[00:50:17] Speaker B: Like Rocky's like I'm. I'm not giving you. You get the shimmy and you get the hit from behind. That's it.
You're not getting anything more than my usual. The base.
That's like when you get buy new cars. The base model.
[00:50:34] Speaker C: Speaking of base model, Cope finally finishes Rocky off with a spear and cover.
[00:50:40] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
The end of that. And then.
Then Christian's like, okay.
[00:50:47] Speaker C: He calls them infuck influencers and not legends. I liked that.
They don't have any matches named after them. No PPVs.
[00:50:55] Speaker B: I love. He's such a douchebag. I love it.
[00:51:02] Speaker C: And Matt's. Matt's like, I might not, but do you have a company named Anthony?
[00:51:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
Yeah.
[00:51:10] Speaker B: I was gonna say you have a whole company.
[00:51:12] Speaker A: Like. Oh, yeah. That's a really good point, actually.
[00:51:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
Which one of us signs your paycheck?
[00:51:20] Speaker A: Which. Which one of it begin with an M?
[00:51:23] Speaker C: Or. Or.
[00:51:25] Speaker B: Or. Or an N? Yeah. Is it mad or net?
[00:51:33] Speaker C: They're so indistinct. It doesn't matter.
The super kicks for an accident, but if Cage doesn't stop running his mouth, the next one won't be. They start shoving each other. Cage kicks Matt in the balls. Cuz obviously responds with the spear because Nick super kicks Cage and cope. Yeah. Step steps up for his tag team partner. Obviously.
Yeah.
[00:51:58] Speaker B: Five second pose.
Hey. Oh, what you gonna do? We went to high school together.
We're so pretty. Remember?
Remember?
[00:52:09] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:52:12] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:52:16] Speaker A: You earned that big goal. Thank you.
[00:52:17] Speaker B: I did, yeah. Yeah.
Meanwhile, you say big up, my brain immediately goes dumb and dumber. Like, hey, Big Gulps.
[00:52:26] Speaker A: See you later.
Oh, are you. We've lost Bella again.
[00:52:34] Speaker C: Is Ella gonna walk away from what is one of the best video packages of the night?
[00:52:41] Speaker A: Which is gonna be. She's on walkabout.
[00:52:43] Speaker C: She's on the walkabout. Yeah.
[00:52:44] Speaker A: She's got wanderlust.
[00:52:46] Speaker C: She can't help it.
Mercedes Monet humanizes your girl's left hand.
[00:52:56] Speaker A: I know. Yeah. This was. That was like, terrifying. The. We get like the willow music. We're all waiting. All that. And then there's just like, screaming.
Yeah.
Like, what's. What's going on? And then just like Willow in horrible pain. Like, you know, I feel just like tears here. As point of view is on.
[00:53:18] Speaker C: The camera is on the floor too.
[00:53:20] Speaker A: So it's right.
You're really. You're really down there with her as she is being just absolutely pummeled by Mercedes that all of our hearts hurt.
[00:53:33] Speaker C: What are you talking about? I love this part.
[00:53:36] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, it was. Was like. Come on. It was good story wise. It was. Oh, my heart. As a willow fan.
[00:53:43] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:53:43] Speaker B: Yeah, sure. Yeah. Story, huh? Yeah. That gets that thing supposed to be objective. No, I'm. I'm not that kind of wrestling podcaster. Like I thought you were objectively. And if you look at the numbers stone go up. No, no. It made Me unhappy personally, and therefore it's bad.
[00:54:05] Speaker A: Bad.
[00:54:07] Speaker C: I loved it.
[00:54:07] Speaker A: I like it.
[00:54:08] Speaker B: I would not be taking any questions at this time.
I had to jump up quick to put some french fries in the air fryer, but that's neither here nor there.
[00:54:17] Speaker C: Okay,
[00:54:22] Speaker A: we've reached hungry o' clock in the podcast this evening.
Yeah, no, that was horrific. But I'm. I mean, these are. This is the thing that I'm just most excited about, you know, going forward is just those two women are fucking unbelievable.
[00:54:42] Speaker B: This is my take. It was.
But I think, I think that they're setting up Mercedes to win by. By having Willow going in with a injury.
[00:54:55] Speaker A: An injury?
[00:54:56] Speaker B: Yeah, an injury.
So that she had. It feels like that kind of thing where it's like, okay, but like, like then later on she can be like, yeah, but you never beat me at my. At my best.
[00:55:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:55:07] Speaker B: You know what I mean?
[00:55:08] Speaker A: Yeah, that's true.
[00:55:09] Speaker C: I mean, she could also go in there and win it. Injured makes victory.
[00:55:14] Speaker A: I mean, that's the thing. Like, I can't say one way or another which way it's gonna. It's gonna go.
Deniability.
[00:55:24] Speaker B: There's deniability. But I will admit that that could just be me being cynical because, like, everything about this whole pay per view is. Has.
[00:55:33] Speaker A: Feels too inevitable.
[00:55:35] Speaker B: It. It's. They. It was choreographed for just months. Just months.
It's not. Okay, Tony, do better. Yeah.
[00:55:46] Speaker A: Yeah. I think that this is, you know, a thing a lot of folks agree on is that, you know, this has not been set up in a way that has been particularly engrossing to anyone moving into it.
So. But that's like, I was just gonna say, like, I think, you know, at the end of the day, like, the matches are gonna be good. It's just story, story wise and everything. Like, it's hard to be like, oh, I'm so enthusiastic to see like pretty much anything going on there except for Mercedes and Willow.
Imo, the issue is timing it.
[00:56:21] Speaker C: Yeah. And it's always been that way. Like either there's not enough or there's too much of it. And it's. It's a pain in the ass because it is based on human bodies that can just break down.
[00:56:35] Speaker A: Exactly.
[00:56:36] Speaker C: And then you're just like, oh. And then everything. But yeah, it's been going on for.
[00:56:41] Speaker B: I don't appreciate this. Facts and logic.
Sorry again, again, if it don't make
[00:56:50] Speaker C: me happy so
[00:56:54] Speaker B: I never will.
[00:56:56] Speaker A: I mean, this is the. Part of the reason why, like wrestling works though, right? Is like the amount of Emotional attachment that we put into it one way or another anyway. So like, yeah, when thing bad, I feel bad. When thing good, I feel good.
And that's like, that's the bargain that we make in order to watch this, this show.
[00:57:15] Speaker B: I'm like, okay,
[00:57:19] Speaker A: unfortunately, this impacts my well being. So I want them to do the thing I want them to do and
[00:57:27] Speaker C: like this hobby that brings me joy. And then you look behind the ring and you're just like,
[00:57:34] Speaker A: yeah.
[00:57:34] Speaker C: And you shut the door.
[00:57:36] Speaker A: Right.
[00:57:37] Speaker C: And you're just like off.
[00:57:38] Speaker B: Oh my God.
How do they get the blood? No. Yeah, but no, this. So I, it could go either way. This segment was good. Even though it was harrowing and I hated it.
[00:57:51] Speaker C: Yeah, right.
[00:57:52] Speaker B: It was wonderful. I hated it. Yeah.
[00:57:56] Speaker C: Speaking of things that are easy to hate, Mark Davis has a number in the casino gauntlet.
Don Callis was in Croatia last week.
[00:58:04] Speaker B: Croatia for vacation.
[00:58:08] Speaker C: Yeah. That's all, that's all I'm gonna say about things that's about that segment.
[00:58:13] Speaker B: I just. What? What? Okay, sure. Man, he's so weird.
It's just so weird. Maybe, who knows? Maybe it's, it's a, it's a, a like slamming good time. Maybe Croatia is like hopping and I just don't know. I know it's beautiful. There's lots of beaches.
[00:58:36] Speaker A: I was gonna say, I, I have had like a couple friends, like British friends go to Croatia recently and like have some pretty like beautiful videos and things that they've sent back. It's not a place I've ever thought. Like. Yeah, yeah. You know, you gotta go to Rome, you gotta go to Paris, you gotta go to Croatia.
[00:58:52] Speaker B: Well, I think also maybe.
[00:58:54] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[00:58:56] Speaker B: Well, I think also maybe if you're European, it's more like, yeah, you go to Croatia, there's beautiful beaches. But like, you're Canadian, bro.
You're Canadian. You're the jackal.
[00:59:08] Speaker A: Yeah, My co host went to Bulgaria last year.
[00:59:14] Speaker B: Yeah, Bulgaria, Yeah.
[00:59:16] Speaker A: If you're already over there, it's like, sure, why not?
[00:59:19] Speaker B: I guess I once knew a Bulgarian woman. She ruled.
I was like, yeah, that's good enough.
[00:59:28] Speaker C: The American mind can't comprehend the European landscape where it's like, you can cross like a couple of, of countries in a couple, like in a couple.
[00:59:38] Speaker A: In the time it would take me to get from here to upstate New York.
[00:59:42] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:59:42] Speaker C: I was like, I go six hours in any direction and I may still hear.
[00:59:47] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm still, I mean, I, I gotta like, if I, if I'm going like west or north or anything like that, like, it's at least three and a half hours and I'm still in Minnesota. Yeah, yeah.
[01:00:00] Speaker C: It's both.
[01:00:01] Speaker A: It works both ways because, like, yeah, for us, it's like, oh, they're so well traveled or whatever. And it's like, it's just. It's an hour away. And whereas here, they're like, you know, they're like, oh, Americans don't have passports. Like, it takes so long to leave a state.
Do you know how hard it is to get out of the country from any given part of the United States?
[01:00:21] Speaker C: It's.
[01:00:22] Speaker A: It's so big.
[01:00:23] Speaker B: It's different. Yeah.
[01:00:25] Speaker C: And our.
[01:00:26] Speaker B: And I feel like our cities are. Are different and too, I feel like.
[01:00:30] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah.
[01:00:31] Speaker B: Like, yeah. And also, like, I have a big one right next door to me, you know, like, there's only so many places I. I recently went to St. Paul and it was like, oh, wow, it's like a whole new country. No, it was fun. It was my old neighborhood. Yeah, no, I love St. Paul. It was my old neighborhood. There's a store called Furniture. Guess what they sell Cat furniture.
Yeah. It is, in fact, cat furniture. It's wonderful. It's been squeezing me for a decade, for a whole decade now. And I've been finding that to be the most wonderful thing. But anyways.
[01:01:07] Speaker C: Anyways, wonderful.
So here's music hits.
[01:01:13] Speaker B: Oh, well, no, first we gotta do this. Okay.
[01:01:16] Speaker C: Oh, what are we doing?
[01:01:17] Speaker B: Yeah, with mjf. I forgot. I wanted to get to the grapples, but I forgot about mjf.
Yes.
[01:01:25] Speaker A: I never forget about mjf.
[01:01:27] Speaker C: Never.
[01:01:28] Speaker B: Are you? I love them. But, like, just. Just.
[01:01:31] Speaker C: Yeah, Andrade's music hits. But no Andrade. We're Andrade.
[01:01:36] Speaker A: I believe you mean Andrew.
[01:01:38] Speaker C: Andrew. Andrew.
[01:01:42] Speaker A: Mjf.
[01:01:43] Speaker B: Instead, we get Max of Jacob Freeman.
[01:01:45] Speaker C: Yeah. Yes. But this time he has a shirt on that says one true champ.
And he's trying to be camp, but we know that he's for real repping the one true champ.
[01:01:59] Speaker B: Like, he can't be camp. Died this week. You.
How dare you.
[01:02:05] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[01:02:06] Speaker B: Died this week. Twice.
Possibly again at all. In. We'll see.
[01:02:12] Speaker C: But fingers crossed.
[01:02:15] Speaker B: Adam Cope.
[01:02:16] Speaker A: Okay, Yeah, I got it. Yeah.
[01:02:18] Speaker B: I'm so sorry,
[01:02:22] Speaker C: everyone. Tell MJF tells everyone he hired get some guys to beat up Andrade so he knows he won't be out here.
Andrade's gimmick says he could do the same thing, no problem.
Find a hot woman in Scotland.
[01:02:36] Speaker B: Oh, Jesus. Until he finds the official end of the bit. For me, too. As far as like. Like he's killed it now. Like now it's just all right. I hate everything about it.
[01:02:48] Speaker C: He calls this.
[01:02:49] Speaker A: I'm on board.
[01:02:50] Speaker C: This beautiful woman in a blue dress of anywhere for anywhere else.
And the lady Nick. And the little girl next to the plant immediately gets hard and just flicking him off so good.
She's ready to go over the barricade. The snarl on her face, an absolute real one.
[01:03:12] Speaker B: I was like, yeah, yeah, taking care of women.
[01:03:16] Speaker A: Yeah, we're gonna see her again someday.
[01:03:18] Speaker B: Truly.
[01:03:20] Speaker C: 5, 5£90, ready to go.
Just got a lead pipe.
Those Scott. Those Glasgow kids, man.
[01:03:33] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly.
Use this for vampires, but let's go,
[01:03:40] Speaker C: blood sucker. Just immediately
[01:03:44] Speaker B: fanging and banging, eh?
[01:03:48] Speaker C: I love her so much. Anyways, he. Magnus goes for the plant photo but. And has one question for the crowd and Andre sneaks up behind him and says, hell, you know.
[01:04:00] Speaker B: So it was. That was nice. That I liked.
[01:04:03] Speaker A: That was good.
[01:04:04] Speaker C: That was very good.
[01:04:05] Speaker A: Absolutely love it.
This segment was for me.
[01:04:10] Speaker C: Yeah, this was actually very. Yeah, this is. I get it.
[01:04:14] Speaker A: It.
[01:04:15] Speaker B: Yeah, it was a good way to. To be like. Like, hey, Glasgow, remember what. What MJF's doing and what Andrade are doing.
This is what they're doing.
[01:04:26] Speaker A: Yeah. And it didn't overstay its welcome. You know, it wasn't like, yeah, we had to sit there for, yeah, ten minutes listening to whatever. I was just kind of like, hey, btw, this is going on. We'll get it. You get to hear him do his catchphrase and let's get out of here. Yeah.
[01:04:40] Speaker C: Like, how often are you in Scotland? You're gonna. You're gonna say the thing.
[01:04:44] Speaker A: You're gonn see it.
[01:04:46] Speaker C: Yeah, they. Absolutely. And I mean, honestly, I'd be like, yeah, I want to see it.
[01:04:51] Speaker A: Right?
Yeah.
[01:04:55] Speaker C: And like Andrade just beats him up pretty soundly and then he runs off and everybody cheers. And Andrade is also wearing a shirt that says how you know on it.
[01:05:06] Speaker A: I just love it.
[01:05:08] Speaker C: It's so dumb.
[01:05:09] Speaker A: And I just love that so much.
It makes no sense. 99 of the time when he says it. And it's just so good.
[01:05:18] Speaker B: I've decided because they're also going to Paris coming up soon, so.
[01:05:23] Speaker A: Oh, yeah,
[01:05:26] Speaker B: yeah.
So like, so I'm gonna. I've decided that like, okay, the bit gets a European tour and then we're kill.
[01:05:36] Speaker A: And then we put it on and
[01:05:39] Speaker C: then we're done officially over it.
[01:05:42] Speaker A: I think you're. You're going to be disappointed.
[01:05:46] Speaker C: Oh boy.
[01:05:47] Speaker B: Why are they bringing that shark in? And that electric moped.
[01:05:51] Speaker C: No, no, no, no. Not. Yeah.
Jumping the shark and dis disappointment are all part of this next segment where Jericho is all. Declares that he is also in the casino gauntlet.
[01:06:04] Speaker B: And he just looks.
So did he get work done?
[01:06:09] Speaker A: Yeah, his face looks weird.
[01:06:13] Speaker B: His face looks weird and his skin looks wrong.
[01:06:17] Speaker A: Yeah, I literally pulled up his Instagram to, like, try to, like, look like.
[01:06:21] Speaker C: Is this what he always looks like
[01:06:23] Speaker A: or does he look weird?
[01:06:25] Speaker B: His hair looks like. Not like something's going on.
[01:06:29] Speaker A: Yeah, something's weird.
[01:06:31] Speaker B: He looks like they tried to get, like, a aid aging filter that didn't work right.
[01:06:38] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't know.
[01:06:41] Speaker A: They gave him the Guardians of the Galaxy treatment. Yeah.
[01:06:43] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:06:44] Speaker B: I don't know.
[01:06:44] Speaker A: It was just something weird going on that. It was like a very uncanny valley Chris Jericho.
[01:06:50] Speaker B: That's well said, Corey. Well said. Yeah, it's uncanny valley Chris Jericho.
[01:06:54] Speaker C: Yeah, it's a Snapchat filter just on, like, the right side of the camera lens. So it's just on Chris.
[01:07:01] Speaker B: Thankfully, it was over pretty quickly. Yeah, I'm also gonna be in the thing, and I'm gonna lose.
I hope. Jesus.
[01:07:10] Speaker C: I said, heavy.
[01:07:11] Speaker A: My thing with Chris Jericho is, like, he's one of those people who, like, most of the time, I'm like, I don't want to see this guy. But then every now and again, he has, like, a gimmick because he reinvents his gimmick, like, every two minutes that, like, then I'm like, that's really funny. And I'm, like, into it. And then he goes back to, like, being Chris Jericho, and I'm like, oh, that's right, it's Chris Jericho.
[01:07:31] Speaker B: Oh, wait.
[01:07:32] Speaker C: He was doing his little shtick comedy, like, gimmick, and he was working the crowd, and I was like, I hate this man. But he is masterful at crowd manipulation.
[01:07:43] Speaker A: Every time he did the, you know, the, like, hi, guys thing with the learning, like, I was like, it makes me laugh. It's so stupid, but it makes me laugh.
[01:07:53] Speaker B: Yeah, but like, like, just. But yeah, he's so good. He knows what he's doing.
Yeah.
[01:08:00] Speaker A: Like, and then other times, you're just like, this guy maker.
[01:08:05] Speaker C: What the was that my. Yeah, my spouse was just, like, going from, like, bald, bald, bald jokes Chris Jericho to pain maker.
[01:08:15] Speaker A: And they were like, yeah. Does something happen?
Seriously? It's like you just get, like, whiplash from the, like, constant shit shifts.
I don't know. But yeah, he's in a mode where I don't care at the moment.
[01:08:29] Speaker B: Yeah, I really I'm nothing interesting. We're staying as welcome.
[01:08:34] Speaker A: Because he's only been back for what, like a month?
[01:08:37] Speaker B: Yeah, that's all it takes.
[01:08:38] Speaker C: Lately it's been a quarter, but yeah,
[01:08:42] Speaker A: already like he's been here too long.
[01:08:45] Speaker C: I think last month too.
And Erica was like, you know, he's got at least another. Or like a year.
[01:08:53] Speaker A: Like he just got here.
[01:08:54] Speaker B: Yeah, right.
All right, well, we're done with him. Are we finally to the grapple.
[01:09:05] Speaker C: Grapple between the Nigel McGinnis and his
[01:09:11] Speaker A: tiny little, little panties.
[01:09:12] Speaker C: Yeah.
Two of the best grapple around. Honestly.
[01:09:19] Speaker A: Like, what happened to Kyle's eye?
[01:09:21] Speaker C: He got a mouse. Well, he got. His face was rubbed up on the. The mat.
[01:09:26] Speaker A: Was it in this or was it before this?
[01:09:29] Speaker C: In this match.
[01:09:30] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[01:09:31] Speaker C: Did it with his boot a couple of times. Yeah.
Because I also. I think his bone structure.
[01:09:38] Speaker A: Yeah, it's like already kind of puffy. Yeah.
[01:09:40] Speaker C: He often gets like facial.
[01:09:44] Speaker B: You know, he's trying. That's what Nigel was doing is trying to claviculate
[01:09:50] Speaker A: looks maxing Kyle O'Reilly. I was like. I rewound because I was like, I must have missed it. But then I looked and I was like at the beginning of the match when he's walking in, both eyes are a little puffy. So I was like, did he come in like this? But no, it was during the match. I just missed exactly what it was that did that.
[01:10:06] Speaker C: Yeah. I don't think that this was like a hold over, but I've noticed when he wrestles, he. Especially since he's on the mat a lot. I think he also has the cauliflower ear, which. Yeah, yeah.
[01:10:18] Speaker A: And he also doesn't like tan. So I think a lot of stuff shows up on him more than like the wrestlers who are like covered in like orange self tanner.
[01:10:27] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:10:27] Speaker A: Like since he is just like a pale ass Irish Canadian man, it's like you just see everything that happens to him.
[01:10:38] Speaker C: This was an excellent match.
I loved the first half where Nigel gets Kyle in a leg lock and they're at a standstill.
Kyle offers his hand, Nigel breaks the lock. They go their own separate ways. Kyle gets him in the same lock.
Nigel turns and just steps out of it.
[01:11:03] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:11:04] Speaker C: It was fun.
[01:11:05] Speaker A: I just love that. I love that. So I'm bored.
[01:11:08] Speaker C: It's funny.
[01:11:09] Speaker A: I.
[01:11:09] Speaker C: This is. Is probably the third time I've seen Nigel wrestle.
[01:11:16] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:11:18] Speaker C: Usually he's on Ring of Honor and I've only started watching aew.
[01:11:21] Speaker A: Does he wrestle on Ring of Honor?
[01:11:24] Speaker C: No, no, no, no.
[01:11:25] Speaker A: He's Made on commentary.
[01:11:27] Speaker C: Okay, so this is. Will be his seventh match of the year, so.
[01:11:32] Speaker A: Oh, okay.
[01:11:33] Speaker C: Yeah. He. This is friend of the podcast that is suggesting that he's going. This is his retirement tour, so he's getting to Wimbledon. He's going to.
[01:11:44] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:11:45] Speaker C: Mox is going to beat his ass and he's gonna go out, which is,
[01:11:48] Speaker B: yeah, you know, fine. But again, as the Guamos would say, the. The other Galamo. Our other Galamos. The rest of girlies across the pond, like, it's just. So do we. Okay. Do we really need that?
The inevitability and like. Like, stop pandering. Like, thank you. Please stop. You know, I love. I love that so much. So, like, you're pandering to us. Please don't. We don't want you.
[01:12:12] Speaker A: Yeah,
[01:12:14] Speaker C: yeah.
[01:12:14] Speaker A: I saw someone arguing earlier that, like. Oh, you know, like. Well, we'd all be miserable over here if, like, you know, if Osprey didn't win and blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm like, that feels like selling yourselves short over there. Like, you can't handle Kendall. You're, like, wrestling. Not having your, like, home team guy win.
[01:12:34] Speaker B: Like, I need to. And don't. Don't forget, we're all a bunch of fucking marks.
[01:12:40] Speaker A: Like, exactly that.
You know, like, listen as like, it also like a regular sports fan and not just a sports entertainment fan.
A person who is used to seeing my teams lose.
[01:12:54] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:12:56] Speaker B: Sucked. It was right.
[01:12:58] Speaker C: You know, like, this.
[01:13:00] Speaker A: This is a thing that happens with. With things. So, you know, and sometimes when you think something's inevitable too, you know, so
[01:13:09] Speaker C: I'm saying one more year.
[01:13:11] Speaker A: Yeah. It just feels to me.
It just feels to me like they're really. Yeah. They're basically saying like, we're a bunch of marks and you can't disappoint us.
[01:13:20] Speaker C: I mean, same. But I keep that on the inside. I keep that.
Yeah.
[01:13:27] Speaker B: I do it satirically on the pod. Yeah.
[01:13:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:13:33] Speaker C: Like a normal possum.
[01:13:36] Speaker B: That being said. Yeah, that being said.
This match.
[01:13:43] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:13:43] Speaker B: Hard.
[01:13:44] Speaker A: Absolutely.
[01:13:46] Speaker B: Oh, it was again. It was. It was much like Claudio Mox. It was like, oh, this is everything I needed it to be.
These two doing their thing. Oh, my God. The second chokes holds. Chokes hold. Yeah.
[01:14:02] Speaker C: Chops like going after the limbs. The second in another great spot. Early on, Nigel gets Audrey Aubrey into O'Reilly's grip and he goes in.
Kyle grabs her, realizes, and then Nigel sneaks around for a roll up. Loved it, Loved it. Did great, great, great. Not Aubrey wasn't hurt. Perfect as well.
[01:14:26] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:14:27] Speaker C: And then it.
But it pisses the out of Kyle, right? And he just immediately turns around and starts beating on Nigel's ankle.
[01:14:38] Speaker B: No, Kyle gets worked up in this match.
[01:14:42] Speaker A: Really.
[01:14:43] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:14:44] Speaker B: So good.
And I think they. They play into whatever the happened to his eye.
I will admit to having it on in the background while we've been potting this whole time because.
[01:14:58] Speaker A: Doing that. Seeing if I could like, you know, scrub along, like.
[01:15:02] Speaker B: Because here's the thing. This. And now spoilers for my ultimate review of this go in, go home show to all in. I watched all of it last night very intently. I didn't remember anything.
[01:15:13] Speaker A: Oh, I never remember anything.
[01:15:15] Speaker B: Yeah, well, usually I will, but it was like reading.
[01:15:18] Speaker A: Yeah. The recap. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
To your point before, though, like, on Nigel and only seeing him wrestle a few times and things like that. I think, you know, as our pal on Blue sky, good old W.T. says, I'm like, along with him, like, I am. I'm a story and character girl first and foremost. And I love the like, wrestling part and all that too, obviously, or I wouldn't watch it. There's plenty of TV shows, but, like, you know, that's usually the thing that sticks with me and like, that I think about afterwards and that I'm more following along with and whatnot. And. And both Nigel and Kyle are so, like, likable.
And Nigel is someone who I didn't know like, a ton about before. He's obviously very funny on commentary, super enjoyable.
And on top of that, I've seen like, some things, like little, like, clips of like, I guess I don't know if it was a documentary or something like that that he did, but like, kind of, you know, him like, crying about, like, his, like, passion for wrestling and trying to make it and things like that. And it's like, it's the kind of person that, like, you really can get behind, you know. And so then when you watch him, someone who's like, got injuries and who's like at the end of his career and stuff like that, and knowing the journey, like, to get there, it really makes. When you're watching something like this, really, you're just like. Yeah. And to see like, kind of the respect between those guys as well.
[01:16:43] Speaker B: Hey, Corey. Fine. You sold me.
I'm less upset on Nigel going to Wembley.
[01:16:51] Speaker C: Look at you. Look at what you did. Wow. There we go.
[01:16:54] Speaker A: There we go. Hey, that's what, that's what I'm here for.
[01:16:57] Speaker C: That's right.
[01:16:57] Speaker B: You know, taking my cynicism away in your Will Nightingale shirt.
[01:17:03] Speaker C: Nothing matters. Smile.
[01:17:05] Speaker A: Anyway. Yeah, right. Perfect.
[01:17:07] Speaker C: Yeah,
[01:17:10] Speaker B: yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:17:12] Speaker C: That also helps greatly.
[01:17:14] Speaker A: Got those good endorphins flowing, though.
[01:17:16] Speaker B: Yeah. I'm like, okay, everything's good. Yeah, that's cool.
[01:17:20] Speaker A: I'm back.
[01:17:20] Speaker B: Nigel. Nigel and Kyle are grapple.
Nigel's doing up things where there was this bit where Kyle's on the apron, like, trying to get back in, and, like, his eyes are, like, level with the top rope. And Nigel just, like, pulls back the top rope and releases into his eyes.
[01:17:38] Speaker A: I was like, jesus Christ, man.
[01:17:41] Speaker B: Bro.
[01:17:41] Speaker C: Tony is glazing Nigel the entire time.
[01:17:45] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah.
[01:17:47] Speaker C: And I mean, it makes sense. I. Tony genuinely like Nigel and, like, Nigel's doing a great job with this, you know, with, you know, one leg. Right.
Wrestling commentary.
[01:18:02] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[01:18:02] Speaker B: Like, Tony, he's got that affinity, you know?
[01:18:06] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[01:18:07] Speaker A: I think he's just a likable guy. Hard not to root for.
[01:18:09] Speaker C: This is true. And this is also so it's interesting because this is what I think of with counter wrestling. They talk. When Jay White was fighting Mox, they pushed this idea of counter wrestling. And this is what I think of when I think of counter wrestling because they're on the mat, they're, like, doing reversals, they're doing chokes, they're doing locks, they're breaking those locks. And, like, they're, they're always trying to get the upper hand and squirm out of the other man's grass.
[01:18:37] Speaker B: Well, it's counter wrestling and, and to a certain extent, chain wrestling. They do a lot like, chain wrestling, which I love.
But yeah, like, counter wrestling is like chain wrestling slowed down, you know, sort of thing. And that's a lot of what this was. You're right. Like, that's, I don't know. I, I. You're really stuck on this Jay White counter wrestling thing from weeks ago, and you're like, there was no counter wr. Like, what the are you talking about?
[01:19:04] Speaker C: I'm working on my J. White journey has just begun.
[01:19:08] Speaker B: Yeah, you're working on a thesis. Yeah, you're working on your.
[01:19:12] Speaker A: Your just begun.
[01:19:16] Speaker B: Amazing.
[01:19:18] Speaker C: Nigel nearly taps with a leg rock because Kyle gets him into a leg. Oh, real quick.
Kyle hits him with the pk and Nigel almost blocks it with the same. Same foot he broke before.
That's my wrestler.
[01:19:36] Speaker B: That was a fun. That was a fun little bit of storytelling. I like that. Yeah.
[01:19:42] Speaker C: Later. A little bit later there after this kind of like the grappling on the map.
Kyle gets Nigel in a leg and an Ankle lock on that injured ankle. And Nigel nearly taps. But instead of hitting the mat, grabs the rope at the end. The opponents exchange strikes again and arm locks. Kyle is in the lead. But Les Kellett, inspired Lariat takes Kyle down for a near two.
Nigel pulls Kyle into a London dungeon on the previously abused left arm. And Kyle taps like almost immediately.
So fast.
[01:20:21] Speaker B: It was little weird, but I was like, okay, yeah, it was previously injured and they want to really set him up for and he's, you know, hometown and. And all that like I guess well
[01:20:36] Speaker C: have a match in Wembley. They part respectfully. Kyle raises his hand. Nigel.
Yeah. Hope he's like, good luck, bud.
[01:20:44] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:20:44] Speaker B: I like the way you grapple. I like the way you grapple, sir.
[01:20:48] Speaker C: Yeah, get some ice on that, son.
[01:20:53] Speaker B: You should think about conglomerating sometime
[01:20:58] Speaker C: if you weren't retired.
[01:21:00] Speaker A: Yeah, get.
[01:21:00] Speaker B: Get him the. The tartan colored Jan sport.
[01:21:03] Speaker C: Oh my God. That'd be so cute actually.
[01:21:06] Speaker B: Oh my God. I want one though. Yeah. What did I do? Anyway, good grapples. Good grapples.
[01:21:11] Speaker A: Good grapples.
[01:21:12] Speaker B: Mighty fine grapples. And then Don Callis again.
[01:21:15] Speaker C: And then Don Callis and we're with a lot of disrespect if he has still has confidence in his game plan after what happened last week and we. Which Kyle got beat up by Takeshita a little bit. He explained that there's always competition among alpha athletes that at the end of the day he expects his family to run the play as called.
Don says he trusts every Don with everything and promises to run the play is called if Okada can.
And Okada shows up. Silver fox with the drip.
[01:21:52] Speaker A: That is.
[01:21:53] Speaker B: I need. All right, yeah, hold on, hold on, hold on real quick. I need. I need to talk about the drip. The. The as you just said. Yes, everyone except not you, Don Callis. Everybody.
Well, he's count. He does kind of have the MCR thing going on. They were just in town. I'll give it to you.
But everybody in this segment is just so good. Y. Oh my.
[01:22:17] Speaker A: Yeah, you gotta hand it to that whole crew.
[01:22:19] Speaker B: I mean Renee. Renee's got. Renee has this like tartan colored like blue halter in a skirt that I want. If I don't already have. I feel like I have something.
And I was like, holy.
And Kyle. Oh my God. Oh my twunk. Oh my.
Eventually he will crack that. That He.
[01:22:45] Speaker A: He's.
[01:22:45] Speaker B: He is in the good. What I call good news for people who love bad news. Shit chic
[01:22:53] Speaker C: now panic at the disco. Like
[01:22:57] Speaker A: things Here, right?
[01:22:58] Speaker B: No, that is Modest Mouse. The.
[01:23:01] Speaker A: That's right.
[01:23:01] Speaker B: Yeah. That album.
That album's entire Everything was pink and green. And that pink and green combo was my. For a while, because I was like, oh, you mean if I like this band, I can wear pink and it's not fake. I. All right. Yeah.
[01:23:18] Speaker A: Okay. Okay.
[01:23:20] Speaker B: I love pink. God damn it.
So, yeah, it's a. I'm there, so
[01:23:26] Speaker A: I don't look good in it. So all of the, like, stuff I own is pink. Instead of wearing it that dark.
[01:23:33] Speaker C: That kind of dark fuchsia pink, at least in this light looks.
[01:23:36] Speaker A: It's like. It has to be like an accent. You know, if I, like, wear, like, a pink shirt, then it's like that small.
[01:23:42] Speaker C: Okay. I can.
[01:23:43] Speaker A: Okay, I can see it. Yeah. Yeah. Thank you.
[01:23:45] Speaker B: Fair point.
[01:23:45] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[01:23:46] Speaker C: He's wearing Feedback.
[01:23:47] Speaker B: Be honest. Yeah. But yeah, he's wearing this, like, green suit in the pink accents because he loves his pink. And just. Oh, my God. And then, yeah, Okada walks in with what looks like to be a suit strung together of bandanas. Like. Like, like quilted together bandana patterns. Oh. Oh, my God.
And again, done for you, Don Callis.
But yeah. Holy.
So, yeah, and silver fox. And like this whole. They say some stuff again. It felt very much like. Like, okay, we're in Glasgow. Remember, this is what these guys show Okada.
[01:24:30] Speaker C: Show Fletcher.
[01:24:31] Speaker A: Sizzle it. Yeah.
[01:24:33] Speaker B: And now more.
Oh, good.
[01:24:35] Speaker C: Do you like the way that they showcase really dysfunctional, like, narcissistic behavior? Very simply, where it's just like, Okada's like, you're so selfish. Like, I was like, where trust you?
[01:24:48] Speaker A: Where.
[01:24:48] Speaker C: How can I trust you after last Wednesday? And he's like, oh, my God, you're just being selfish. Making this about you.
[01:24:56] Speaker B: Yeah. It's all about family.
[01:24:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:24:58] Speaker B: Family is what's most important.
Oh, my God.
Anyway.
Oh, go ahead.
[01:25:07] Speaker C: Oh, no, no, no. And I was Then they're gonna. I was then I'm pushing the gas man.
[01:25:12] Speaker B: Yeah. I was gonna say then more important things.
Oh, I just wanted to say more. More important things. Tall lady.
Okay.
[01:25:20] Speaker C: Anyway.
[01:25:22] Speaker B: Tall lady.
[01:25:24] Speaker C: Not just tall lady, but here's. I think tall lady need to be paired to. With small lady in order to showcase emphasize. Yes.
[01:25:32] Speaker B: Just how tall. Yeah, yeah.
[01:25:36] Speaker C: I loved. I loved watching. I love Maya, but her getting manhandled, so to speak.
[01:25:45] Speaker B: Maya handled. Yeah.
[01:25:47] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:25:49] Speaker B: And of course, the brawling birds came out and did br. Which talking about. We. We mentioned earlier, like, Osprey, like, oh, this is the most. Him. He act like real him. He's ever been. They released a article where they're like, hey, so what's up with this whole obnoxiously silly British you're doing?
And they're like, oh. Oh, it just. This is just what we're like. This is just who we are, mate. And I like, oh. Oh, no. Oh, no, no.
[01:26:19] Speaker C: Really?
[01:26:21] Speaker A: No. God.
[01:26:23] Speaker B: Like, is like, so, like, again, to the waffle. The waffly folks across the. Across the pond, maybe they're just kay. Fabe.
[01:26:32] Speaker A: Yeah, I would. I would.
[01:26:34] Speaker B: I'm hoping it's that. But, like, the. I think we might have to accept the. The. The troubling reality of they're just actually like that.
[01:26:42] Speaker A: Right. Like, it's a fun gimmick. I find it fun to, like, reverse the, like, douchey British man trope into women.
You know, I think that that's, like, you know.
Yeah. Every time. Yeah. Every time I'm over there, I meet plenty of men like that and spend as much time as possible trying to avoid them. And so it's very funny to flip that on its head. To me, it's not as fun if it's like, no, that's, like, legitimately, like. Yeah, I hope that that's not. Yeah. I hope that's not the case because it's not what women are, like, kind
[01:27:19] Speaker B: of sad, but when you think about it, that is Osprey's wife.
It is.
[01:27:24] Speaker A: Yeah. It's a thing I have to try to, like, shove out of my head.
[01:27:29] Speaker B: But it's like. Yeah. Like, maybe they just really both are just like that.
[01:27:33] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, she kind of has to be a dummy. Yeah.
I think I have more sort of like.
Like Jamie Hayter. I have more of a thought of. Of like, maybe not then.
[01:27:45] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
[01:27:46] Speaker B: Jamie is more like, what are you doing, Windsor? It's like, I wasn't expecting much. Well, right.
[01:27:51] Speaker C: I mean, it's either. So it's either on his. On Will's level or just slightly above. And either way, it's not.
[01:27:58] Speaker B: Oh, boy. Wonderful. Yeah.
[01:28:03] Speaker C: Damn. He just came on just. Alex wins the heat.
Oh, no.
[01:28:11] Speaker B: That's where I'm at.
[01:28:12] Speaker A: I don't know. Listen, women marry down all the time, I suppose, but I just feel like. Yeah. Like, if you can hold a conversation with Will Ospreay and not be like, jesus Christ, like, you can't be the brightest.
It's not.
[01:28:27] Speaker C: It's not. It's not a maybe. It's not the conversation part.
[01:28:30] Speaker A: Right.
[01:28:31] Speaker C: I just.
[01:28:32] Speaker A: So other. Other things that. Yeah.
[01:28:35] Speaker B: Going on. Yeah.
I guess he could be attractive. I don't know.
[01:28:44] Speaker A: He's really good at gardening.
[01:28:47] Speaker B: Sure. No, that's hanger.
That is.
[01:28:50] Speaker C: That's true.
[01:28:50] Speaker A: That is. That is hanger.
[01:28:52] Speaker B: I want to believe that about hanger as well, but. Yeah, so we. So we get six. Six women tag, though, with tall lady and small lady and an English lady and Persephone. And like, I love Persephone. Anytime Persephone is on my screen, I'm happy.
[01:29:11] Speaker A: The heel.
[01:29:12] Speaker C: The heel corner is smoking. Is on fire. And then we have the British Birds and Maya World.
I mean, I think I thought they worked super well together. They had like one kind of cohesive trio spot, which was real good.
[01:29:30] Speaker A: Good.
[01:29:31] Speaker C: This was also, like. Once again, we're giving a taste test of the British. The Brawling Birds and the Divine.
[01:29:37] Speaker B: No, no, no, no. You can call them the British Birds now. I'm fine with that. You've done it twice. And I'm like, yep.
[01:29:44] Speaker C: Oh, perfect. Yeah. So, yeah, there you go.
[01:29:48] Speaker A: You know the. The British broads.
[01:29:53] Speaker C: It's so truly a problem in if names begin with the same letter. I.
Yeah, yeah. It is a. It is a documented disability. I have it on a file somewhere.
[01:30:11] Speaker A: Anyway. An alliterophobe.
[01:30:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:30:14] Speaker C: Actually not reading this.
Everyone gets a turn with Maya in the corner is how start this off.
Well, we talked about her, Maya being little, so she is. We.
[01:30:29] Speaker B: So sometimes you do put baby in the corner. Yeah.
[01:30:32] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:30:34] Speaker C: But world tags Windsor and Windsor and Persephone go at it before Windsor tags and Hater and they run a Manhattan drop into a Hater kick, sending Persephone to the map. The bullying of Persephone continues.
And of course, I just lost my space.
[01:30:52] Speaker B: Oh, good. This is why I'm editing.
[01:30:54] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:30:56] Speaker B: Thank you.
[01:30:56] Speaker C: Thank you. The Bullying of Persephone continues by the Brawling Birds.
[01:31:01] Speaker A: Hey.
[01:31:02] Speaker C: When Hater whipped her.
[01:31:04] Speaker B: I don't know them.
[01:31:05] Speaker C: I don't know them.
[01:31:08] Speaker A: That's weird.
[01:31:09] Speaker B: I don't know them.
Where's my British boys?
[01:31:15] Speaker C: This is the spot that I was talking about with the Brawling Birds and Maya where Hater whips her in across the ring, where she jumped off Windsor's back into a flying attack on Persephone.
And then the Brawling Birds double suplex, with Maya following up with a moonsault, which was holding perception down. Was very good.
[01:31:35] Speaker B: Yeah, that was pretty. Yeah, I like that. That was fun and nice.
[01:31:39] Speaker A: That was fun and nice.
[01:31:42] Speaker C: That was good. It was. It was. It was a nice little trio's action.
The. The illusion that this is not just some random shit to Fill the card before the. The. The final match.
[01:31:55] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:31:55] Speaker C: In the commercial, Persephone gets her revenge on Hayter and then tosses her into the heel corner where she and the Divine Dominion beat the ever living hell out of her.
Yeah. Returning from the commercial, Cross clears the apron before she and Megan hit Hater with pumpkicks and Bane suplexes her into the center of the ring. Alex breaks up the pin on Hater before three Divine Dominion and Brawling Birds go at it with twin strikes. Hater and Bane knock each other out with simultaneous clotheslines, which is always. Love that.
[01:32:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
Another fave.
[01:32:32] Speaker C: Yeah. It's. It's a little bit like, where you just. The fighters match each other's and dodge each other's hits and then just goes for the clothesline and smash. It looks copacetic.
[01:32:43] Speaker A: Yeah. I think that's always really fun for me because, like, I mean, again, the nice kind of thing about, like, being new to wrestling and things like that is there's, like, stuff I still don't totally understand.
[01:32:54] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:32:54] Speaker A: About it. And one of those things is that, like, you know, when they really get in sync with each other, things start to look, like, so perfectly choreographed, you know, And I'm like, how are they. How I know that they have. They communicate with each other, and there's things that they do talk about, but, like, when they just managed to, like, hit things and be, like, so on each other's level, that still has me, like a little kid, just like, wow, look what they did.
I just love real to me, it's real. It's not real to me exactly.
Whatever they're doing, it's the same kind of magic as, like, synchronized swimming to me.
[01:33:32] Speaker B: I really hate to be the one to be, like, the mom voice here, but I think it's. I think it's practice.
I think. I think everything involved is, like, by the synchronized swimming. And then the rest, like, I think they just practice real hard.
[01:33:46] Speaker C: Practice. How do you get.
[01:33:47] Speaker B: So maybe you go sit down and play your piano for a while, huh?
[01:33:52] Speaker A: Yeah. To be clear, I. Like I said, I do watch sports. I was an athlete. I do understand these things are. That's how things work.
[01:34:03] Speaker B: It's still, you know, along the graphs we do.
[01:34:07] Speaker A: I'm a. I'm a. Yeah. I'm a willing mark is what I am. Where I can also, like, look like. I could watch. I bet I could go on YouTube right now and watch, like, something. Something that's like a training video or like, something where people talk about, like, how they figure out what they're gonna do with their, you know, tag partners and things like that. But I don't want to know because it's more fun for it to be magic.
[01:34:31] Speaker C: I'll need it to be magic.
[01:34:32] Speaker B: Exactly.
[01:34:33] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:34:34] Speaker B: Real to me.
[01:34:35] Speaker A: Damn it. Still real to me.
[01:34:38] Speaker C: Speaking of magic, my hater gets attacked to Maya, and she comes in like, just like a wrecking ball. She gets some sick moves, a great head sciss takeover, a leaping leg lariat. And then Megan bang goes for a choke slam.
[01:34:55] Speaker A: Nice. We've caught up to Ella's match.
[01:34:58] Speaker B: I just watched that part. Yeah, the leg, Larry. I just saw that leg lariat.
[01:35:03] Speaker C: Make it time.
[01:35:04] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:35:04] Speaker C: Oh, and then get ready for the chokes. For the choke slam that she reverses into an incredible stunner.
[01:35:11] Speaker B: Oh, it was so cool.
[01:35:13] Speaker A: It is.
[01:35:14] Speaker C: I like. I think think Maya work works off the second rope a lot because she's so we. And I like that.
[01:35:20] Speaker B: Yeah, because she's so tiny. Yeah, she little one, and that's how you go.
And you know who else was tiny in from El Paso.
And we love Eddie forever.
Eddie Guerrero, not Eddie King.
[01:35:36] Speaker A: That's not true.
[01:35:36] Speaker B: Yes, Eddie Guerrero from New York.
No, we. We. We're. We love Eddie Guerrero in this house. In this house, Eddie.
In this house, Eddie means Guerrero before Kingston. Sorry. Eddie Kingston.
[01:35:51] Speaker C: Wow.
Wild.
[01:35:53] Speaker A: Really covering the ears of the Eddie Kingston poster on my wall right now.
[01:36:00] Speaker B: I'm covering my left hand because I haven't washed it since he touched it.
[01:36:08] Speaker A: Listen, he called me mama, and I'll never get over it, but holy.
[01:36:12] Speaker B: I would die. I would.
[01:36:14] Speaker C: Yeah, I would know that.
[01:36:15] Speaker A: Would.
[01:36:16] Speaker C: Oh, okay. Betty Kingston.
[01:36:19] Speaker B: Okay, y' all continue to do the pod. I'm just gonna recover for
[01:36:25] Speaker C: telling me Ella's died tonight. For the first time,
[01:36:31] Speaker A: she gets three.
How little was Eddie Guerrero?
[01:36:36] Speaker B: Oh, he was five eight. Five seven. Five eight, I want to say. So it wasn't like he wasn't Ray Ray. He wasn't like Raymond at all.
[01:36:45] Speaker A: Mugsy Bogues.
[01:36:47] Speaker B: But for a wrestler, he was.
[01:36:49] Speaker A: Yes.
Compared to everyone else around him.
[01:36:53] Speaker B: Exactly. Exactly.
[01:36:55] Speaker C: Yeah, he and kind of what's his nuts. Steve Alinka were around the same height.
[01:37:02] Speaker A: They were all.
[01:37:03] Speaker C: Anyways, I'm just gonna just real jump. Real down. Down to the second time where Maya gets a stunner because Persephone drop kicks the brawling birds from the top ropes and hits a lariat on world before going for crucifix bomb, which world reverses into an awesome heart rope stunner.
Megan breaks up that pin, and she and cross toss world onto the floor. Hater goes after Divine Dominion with a crossbody off the apron. But doesn't knock down Divine Dominion until Windsor does a cannonball on top of Jamie and the Divine Dominion.
[01:37:48] Speaker B: We need a larger bird. Yeah.
[01:37:51] Speaker C: Get the second bird. A second bird has hit the Divine Dominion.
[01:37:59] Speaker A: I just say, by the way, you've stood up now. You changed rooms and stood up. And now the way that you're like when you have to read your notes, you like lean in and everything and you look like an extra in like a 90s like disaster movie, like Twister or something. Like where you're like.
[01:38:13] Speaker C: You're like.
[01:38:14] Speaker A: Yeah, like you're like giving us the information on your little headset. But it's not like I could see it coming in from, you know, from the east here.
[01:38:22] Speaker C: 20 knots, captain.
[01:38:24] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. I like the vibe. I. I enjoy it.
[01:38:30] Speaker B: Two birds, one stone is coven. I could see it. Yeah.
[01:38:38] Speaker C: Though they're leaving the. The Divine Dominion. Brawling birds brawl up the.
Up the ramp. Leaving Maya and Persephone alone, which is never a good thing.
Persephone does Persephone, which is Hit Maya in the face with her belts and then hits her with a frog splash.
[01:38:57] Speaker A: Eddie gets that.
[01:39:00] Speaker C: Gets that pin.
[01:39:02] Speaker B: That'll do her.
[01:39:03] Speaker C: Yeah, that. That's all she wrote.
And then we will move on to the most base. Or do we. Is. This is. I. I liked this match. This was this. But this was also kind of just a. What your beak kind of of.
[01:39:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
Little apartif. A little, you know, amus bouche, if you will. I don't know what any of.
[01:39:25] Speaker C: Yes.
Start speaking French.
[01:39:29] Speaker A: Just saying things in French.
[01:39:31] Speaker C: When I first met one of my friends. Girlfriends, I couldn't stop speaking French to her.
And it's funny because I don't speak French. So it was just literal, like French catchphrases that she used to like a mojo bouche in like.
And like just.
[01:39:53] Speaker A: Is this a tick? What's happening?
[01:39:55] Speaker C: I've never been able to recreate it either, which really me off.
[01:39:59] Speaker A: Phenomenal.
[01:40:00] Speaker B: So we smack Hampter in the head and she starts speaking.
Yeah.
[01:40:06] Speaker A: It's like when Buzz Lightyear gets the little flip switched and starts speaking Spanish.
[01:40:14] Speaker C: Yes. Very much so.
[01:40:16] Speaker B: Fantastic.
[01:40:18] Speaker C: We are now heading into the most based portion of yes.
This card, which is watching Evan Knight save us all from.
[01:40:29] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:40:30] Speaker C: A domestic terrorist.
Darby Allen.
[01:40:34] Speaker B: I didn't. I. They. They run back the whole thing where they like, like, they do like a little. It's just like a video package. You're like, isn't this terrible where they. Where he blew up. He blew up that piece of.
Who's been like, chloroforming people and getting in car accident.
[01:40:52] Speaker C: The same to him.
[01:40:54] Speaker B: Yeah. Who's been doing the same to him? It was. Isn't that terrible, that thing he did? And I'm just over here like, Kevin, right?
[01:41:02] Speaker C: Make me root for this he. You piece of.
[01:41:06] Speaker B: Again.
Once again, I say they should have called him the bus, not the jet. And he is here to finish the job.
[01:41:16] Speaker C: Dnr. Dnr.
[01:41:19] Speaker B: Oh, Jesus Christ.
[01:41:22] Speaker C: Sorry.
[01:41:24] Speaker B: Hapter. I love you. That's why.
No, so.
So yeah, they did that and it's like, okay, cool.
Like once. At least. At least they weren't like there. At least it was just like a video package. Right?
[01:41:37] Speaker C: Package.
[01:41:40] Speaker B: Because then we come back to, like, the actual most base portion a Whose house.
Which now is. I've been to two links games at Target Center. Every single time I hear whose house. I will forever be, like, split between Square's house and our house house.
[01:42:01] Speaker A: It's like that. The meme with the button sweating.
[01:42:05] Speaker B: I mean, clearly it is our house.
But also the house does belong to Swerve's house.
The house belongs to Mr. Swerve.
Yeah, exactly. Swerve's Airbnb it to us. Jesus.
[01:42:23] Speaker C: No. Swerve not a landlord.
[01:42:26] Speaker A: No, he would never.
[01:42:30] Speaker B: Buildings he owned have a tendency to burn down. So, you know, that's a good point.
[01:42:37] Speaker C: Hangman just knocks on the door and it's like, you got 30 days to vacate.
You're not my landlord.
Yeah, no, I'm a Samaritan.
[01:42:50] Speaker B: All joking aside, it's the main event and it's worth Strickland in. In Glasgow versus Jungle Jack Perry.
[01:43:04] Speaker A: The, like, whiplash between their two theme songs. Their entrance music absolutely cracked me up.
[01:43:11] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:43:12] Speaker A: Like, literally did like a Nelson Muntz laugh.
I wasn't ready.
[01:43:21] Speaker C: It is.
[01:43:22] Speaker B: It's so weird. And then. Well, and I mean, Swerve absolutely gives him too. He's coming in in. And he. He comes in and he looks a little. The braids. Who. I forget who said it on Blue sky, but they said the Ibiza vacation braids and like, Swerve's giving him for the Baltimore. Like, oh, the arms up.
[01:43:47] Speaker A: Yeah. As you should. It was a very silly transition and I think it was Thing that had to be. Had to be openly acknowledged.
[01:43:55] Speaker C: Yeah. Yes.
[01:43:56] Speaker A: Acknowledged and mocked. Mocked at the time.
[01:43:58] Speaker C: I mean, I think he's. It's all about, like. So this is. I was very interesting because I was like, Wait, why is We're Strickland and Jack Perry fighting, right. And this whole match.
Yeah. Is like. The whole match is based only on the fact that Jack got trounced by Mox and then decided to go for a title belt. And Swerve told him to sit his ass down. He wasn't ready for it.
[01:44:21] Speaker B: Yeah. He's like, you're not a killer word.
[01:44:24] Speaker C: This is your Death Rider package. I guess. Like, you're not getting the John Moxley, so you'll get the Swerve Strickland.
[01:44:31] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, I'll teach the boy, you know, like, Bambi style. Like, beat his ass. Yeah. And see if he can, like, actually, like, come at me with a killer instinct.
[01:44:43] Speaker A: Right.
[01:44:44] Speaker C: Had to, like, choose at the. Like, choose your twink at the beginning of the season.
And Mox is like, yeah, I guess I'll take the brain. It and twink drafts.
Oh, my God.
[01:44:59] Speaker B: This ending 2026.
Yeah.
[01:45:06] Speaker C: J.
However, maybe Kyle picked Speedball. Actually, that's probably a better way, though, like, because Kyle is a twunk. So I think he's. It's a weird third entry. So, like, anyways, Swerve picked Jack.
[01:45:23] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:45:23] Speaker C: And I'm. I was actually legitimately surprised that no one bled this match. I legitimately surprised, honestly.
[01:45:30] Speaker A: That's true. Yeah.
[01:45:34] Speaker C: They swing.
Yeah. Swerve swings Jack into the pole.
And I thought for sure. But no.
[01:45:43] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:45:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:45:44] Speaker A: So I feel that whenever someone goes into a pull the stairs, like, any of that stuff, I'm like. Like, my entire body is like, oh, God.
[01:45:55] Speaker C: The stairs. Especially because I. Everybody has barked their shin, like, on the front of a stair. That's just cut it, right?
[01:46:03] Speaker A: Yeah. And you're just like, ah, just like cheese graters. Your leg.
Come on.
[01:46:09] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:46:11] Speaker B: I'm so sad now.
[01:46:15] Speaker C: Well, don't worry.
We got some. Swerve swerving. Swerve offers his chin to Jack.
[01:46:23] Speaker B: Yeah. Swerve just, like, talking. The whole first, like, three, two minutes of this match is just.
[01:46:29] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. The whole match is like, I'm gonna make you hard, boy. And it gets real weird. And Jax, like, puts him in a headlock and is put back in the mat.
[01:46:40] Speaker B: That is. That is right up our alley, isn't it?
[01:46:43] Speaker C: Is.
Perry follows with a poke in the eye before getting up some force and putting Swerve down with a shoulder tackle.
[01:46:49] Speaker B: It's like, remember, I was a heel. I know how to do this.
[01:46:53] Speaker C: These attempts at offense wind up with Jack and Swerve in the corner, exchanging chop. Swerve with the upper hands.
Which continues with a big old power kick to, to Perry's chest.
Jerry Perry gets a bit of offense on the apron when he kicks out the of, of when he kicks out Swerve's knee and he goes down.
But the man gets up and catches Perry with a follow up and the Bankman gets up. Swerve gets back up on the apron.
Jack's on the top buckle, goes for Harar.
[01:47:27] Speaker B: He just catches, catches him and then
[01:47:31] Speaker C: swings him into the post.
[01:47:35] Speaker B: So good.
And he just, and he just drops onto the stairs. Sure does.
[01:47:40] Speaker C: It was, yeah.
[01:47:42] Speaker B: God, what a great spot. No, this match, I like this match. This was a good match. Just a great main event.
Commercial Even with his little braid, Perry
[01:47:54] Speaker C: rides on the floor for a bit before trying to get in some offense, but Swerves in control, manhandling as manhandling Perry and taunting the crowd sl showboating.
We're back in with an elbow to from the top buckle and a swerve dance where he does the little. It's almost like a little Ric Flair.
[01:48:14] Speaker B: No, he, he does like a little shuffle. Yeah.
Is. I love when he does that. I just, I love him. He's my goat. He like nothing against Jungle Jack. It's Swerve. It's always swerved to me.
[01:48:27] Speaker C: Oh, yeah?
[01:48:28] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, yeah. As far as like again to the our gumo. Like I, I, I love hanger. I do. Even though he's on my shit list. Like, but like when, when it comes down to the boyfriends, it's Swerve.
It's always, it's always been Swerve. It's always going to be swerved.
[01:48:49] Speaker A: Yeah. I can go sign that.
[01:48:50] Speaker B: Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Corey.
[01:48:56] Speaker C: Your boy gets Perry into a weird ass stretch submission that I've seen. Like his swerve drapes Perry over his back, locking his feet between his thighs to stretch out his back, which a move that would probably also fix me.
[01:49:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:49:15] Speaker B: Like it might be nice. Yeah.
[01:49:18] Speaker C: Perry frees an arm to grab the rope but was denied by Swerve and he swerve, gets his arm hooked again. The second free arm is used to throw elbows and swerve and flip Swerve onto into an arm drag takedown and sending him to the floor, which was wild.
[01:49:35] Speaker B: Yeah, that was good stuff.
[01:49:37] Speaker C: I love it when the little boy does the big thing and the big man falls like it's just this tiny little person.
Yeah.
Perry follows up with his three topes and finishes it off with a moonsault before throwing Swerve back into the ring. Ring Perry goes to the top rope again, but Swerve follows. Perry knocks him back, but Perry. But Jack. Jesus.
But Swerve lands on his feet. Perry goes for a moonsault, but Swerves into a sick DDT because he can't bring Strickland down. Another near to a chop exchange. Empty house call for the first attempt, but not for the second attempt, which is stops a niche strike. More anti air. Perry's coming at him with his knee strike and Swerve is like no.
Gets him in a snare trap. And the crowd loses their Strickling goes after Jack's hand to escape, but Perry keeps the leg lock and rolls through for a near fall.
Swerve tries for brain buster, but Perry reverses it into Harkarana just for Swerve to kick out. In the nick of time. Time.
She's. This. This starts winding down. Swerve goes after Perry with a back elbow.
[01:51:02] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:51:03] Speaker C: Or Swerve goes after him, but Perry go answers back with a back elbow and goes up to the second rope, leaping onto Swerve, who catches him on his shoulders looking for big pressure. Perry slides down and Swerve stance up to. As if trying to set up for a pin attempt. But yeah. Perry's legs are still locked around him. Swerve just pulls Perry up by his hair and finishes him off with a big pressure.
[01:51:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Again. You shouldn't have with the braid, dude. You shouldn't have done it.
This is. What did we learn?
[01:51:36] Speaker A: Your body its own. Its own worst enemy.
[01:51:39] Speaker B: Yeah. What did we learn?
[01:51:41] Speaker A: Been wielded against you.
[01:51:42] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:51:43] Speaker B: Oh, and it prospered, spurred, and God, I love me a big pressure. What a fun move.
[01:51:47] Speaker C: It was really good. He got two of them.
Yeah.
[01:51:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:51:51] Speaker C: And he. He goes. He goes down at the end. He's like so close. He just shows them fingers spread. Just so close.
Gives him a fist bump.
[01:51:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:52:00] Speaker C: So they're teaming up, I guess. No, I'm just kidding.
[01:52:02] Speaker B: No, no. It's just respect. It's all the respect in the world.
[01:52:07] Speaker C: This is only icon run through for Jack though. He's not. Not beat them. But it was mocks and now strictly.
[01:52:16] Speaker B: Well, I. I feel like he's.
He's. He resigned his contract.
He luchasaurus is not around. He's back to being singles heel. And I think they just kind of want to. They. I like. I liked it. And I think that's why I like this match too. I like all this way. It's like. No, I want to make you a killer in the same way with Mox they're like, they're like, you're not jungle boy anymore. We are going to jungle Manu.
You know what I mean? And, like, I'm, I'm into it. If he, if he does this for like a year, I think that's awesome. And then by the end of it, have him do like a super badass run.
You know what I mean?
[01:52:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:52:56] Speaker B: Make him earn it. And I think that's awesome. I think I, I'm loving it. This whole match. He, he.
Yeah, all the work was fantastic. All the stories being told were great.
[01:53:06] Speaker C: Oh, absolutely.
[01:53:06] Speaker B: A lot, A lot of people hate on Jack Perry and they're just wrong. I just think they're wrong.
[01:53:12] Speaker A: I don't see any reason for that.
[01:53:13] Speaker C: Like, my only, like, quibble with your comment is like, Jack Perry's been here for 10 years. Like, I think he's earned it as is. But, like, that's it. That's all my. That's only my go for real.
[01:53:26] Speaker B: I'm. I mean, earn it in a storyline sense.
[01:53:28] Speaker C: Oh, okay.
[01:53:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:53:30] Speaker B: No, no, no, no. You know, you, you know, like, they haven't been with this build up anyways.
[01:53:35] Speaker A: Yeah.
I mean, you're kind of looking at, like, you said, like, it's a. Yeah, he's a jungle man now. It's like he kind of.
[01:53:41] Speaker B: Exactly.
[01:53:42] Speaker A: You know, we kind of lost him for a minute after, after all, in a few years ago, obviously.
And then, you know, they kind of. I think they did a great job bringing him back with the whole scapegoat thing, you know, all that stuff. And then it's like, I do think that as they've worked with this, they've been doing a good job of figuring out, like, all right, now how do we, how do we work a story with this guy from this point forward? And I think I've kind of been along for the ride with how they've managed to do that. You know, like, you're right. He's been here the whole time pretty much, but, you know, he is.
They've managed to make that feel authentic to him as opposed to being like, yeah, this is just a guy who isn't like, take like a, like a Sammy Guevara or something like that. Or you're just like, there's just nowhere for this to go. Go. You know, now we all just kind of hate this guy.
Managed to avoid that with him.
[01:54:35] Speaker C: Awkward silence. Yeah.
[01:54:38] Speaker B: And then I'm over here, like, speaking of nowhere to go, that's the end of the show. And there wasn't, like, just A video package at the end, which I hate do that.
[01:54:50] Speaker A: Yeah. This ended at like 1003, which was nice because as I've told you, I like to go to sleep. And so I appreciated that. It was like, oh, oh, this. This is reasonable.
[01:55:04] Speaker C: Yeah, I'll take it. I mean, I think the person that I was watching this with suggested there might have been like.
Like a layover or somebody just couldn't make a make it is the. Because Kenny didn't say anything.
[01:55:17] Speaker A: Right.
[01:55:18] Speaker C: Which feels a little weird. So. But yeah.
Video package about.
Yeah, yeah, these two guys.
[01:55:26] Speaker B: And that's fine. Kenny's not always on tv and that's okay. Again, I also, like, I. I forget. I think it was one of the Wrestle Joy Peoples was like, yeah, like what? We should probably remember that Kenny has. Does in fact have guts. It's not just a fun thing they bring up.
[01:55:45] Speaker A: Well, also, I saw someone else saying, you know, the other end of that. That is. That could be kind of the work there too is like that we all think that Kenny is like, oh, there must be something wrong with him. And he's like resting up or whatever the case may be. And it's like, that could be what they want us to think.
[01:56:00] Speaker B: And then he wins and it's another year of Kenny. And honestly, if that's the case, I hope I'm worked exactly right. Like work may tell me.
[01:56:10] Speaker A: Training for the work.
[01:56:12] Speaker B: For the work.
[01:56:13] Speaker C: Biggest mark ever.
[01:56:15] Speaker B: For the work.
[01:56:16] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:56:18] Speaker B: How would like to be that to mark please me.
But holy. We did it. Corey. You did it. You finally came to a dynamite and we didn't kill you with our two hour ridiculousness.
[01:56:31] Speaker A: Delightful.
[01:56:33] Speaker C: Very quick, Very quick. Very.
[01:56:36] Speaker A: I feel a little. I feel like you guys were like really trying to like push through for me.
[01:56:42] Speaker B: Hampter. You did so good. You. You rove iconic on. On the fury road road in your. Your cozy coup war rig.
Yeah, no, we. We are witnessing the hampter like you. You did so Erica's gonna be so proud. I'm so proud. And again, didn't. You didn't. I'm looking now and. And that person with the allergy did get the EpiPen.
[01:57:09] Speaker A: They made it fine.
[01:57:10] Speaker B: So good for the show.
You didn't kill anyone. One and like me feeling warm and fuzzy on the inside right as I'm saying this. Like, like something is like coming loose in the rafters. That's about the crowd as they're leaving, I'm sure.
Yeah.
But that was so wonderful, Corey. Thank you for being a wonderful.
[01:57:33] Speaker A: Thank you so much, Cory.
[01:57:34] Speaker C: It was so much.
[01:57:34] Speaker B: Guests. We have guests occasionally. You should tell people where to go, listen to you and read your things because you do so much fun things.
[01:57:43] Speaker A: Oh, thank you. Yeah, I'm at Here Lies Corey on the Old Blue sky, and my podcast is Jack of All Graves. We talk about dark things, but in a bubbly, upbeat way, you know, so
[01:57:58] Speaker B: things that imagine more body horror, less wrestling.
[01:58:01] Speaker A: Yeah. Not as much of the resting, although we have done an episode on wrestling day, deaths and things like that. So, you know, it happens. But mostly if you really like dark stuff, not like a. It's not really a true crime podcast, but more like just things that are dark about the experience. So whether that's like exploding death lakes or an unsolved mystery or this past week we talked about, like, why people have sleep paralysis demons and think they can astral project.
So, you know, any kind of thing
[01:58:33] Speaker B: like that, which I thought was science of was awesome. Go listen.
[01:58:38] Speaker A: It's very fun to look into. I had a really good time finding out why we do that. So if you're interested, Jack of All Graves, the podcast, we're available on all the things you can go on jackofallgraves.com we have a book club, all kinds of stuff that you can find on there. And we just have a fun time, just cool people hanging out and, you know, talking about dark stuff.
[01:58:59] Speaker B: Yep. And send them money. Send that podcast money. Go to hampter Hampters on the Blue sky guy and you find someone on Hamper's page. All will be well. Be sky social and you find someone on the hampter page and you send them money and you will find.
[01:59:18] Speaker C: I want to believe that like a night like half of our listeners have had me on a blocked because I'm on some block list they subscribe to and they're just. I've never been able to find Hampter. Like that's so weird.
I'm just like.
[01:59:32] Speaker B: Yeah, I know for a fact. I know for a fact we have to have listeners that have my main blocked. They're ha. They're asked.
[01:59:39] Speaker A: Yeah, just statistically.
[01:59:42] Speaker B: Just statistically.
[01:59:44] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:59:45] Speaker B: That main
[email protected] on Blue Sky. That's where you can find me. And I do the post and I'm constantly asking for Mike because I'm still unemployed.
Send money there. But you get Kitty pictures, which is always good. That there's the mox taxes and she's been on one lately, so that's good. And you can listen to my other show.
Everything is wrestling with Bugs Matrix.
The indomitable Bugs Matrix. God's favorite gas leak. We love them. So was recently, uh, Gaston. It could be, uh, it could happen here. And talked about the ridiculous WNBA sports show.
As a trans athlete, which I did not know about Bugs until that happened. I was like, oh yeah, cool.
My yappist. I learned new things about my. My fellow. Yeah. Every day.
So go check that out where we talk basically just about like if you understand wrestling better, you understand the world better through wrestling. It's, you know, because it's all the same thing.
So people come in, info dump about stuff and we related to wrestling because that's how I relate everything in the world world to make my brain understand it. Oh, like graps. Okay, then I can get it.
Yeah, that's how that works. That's it. It's all grab Steppy Scott social, wherever you listen to things.
Happy wrestling. That's a good one. Oh, YouTube. Go to the YouTubes and listen to it there. Or if you don't, like subscribe all that and Happy wrestling and stay spooky.
[02:01:19] Speaker C: Thank you for listening. Stay spooky.
[02:01:21] Speaker A: Stay spooky.
[02:01:50] Speaker C: They just don't flag it as unusual now.
[02:01:53] Speaker A: Yeah, it's like she accepts that that's the thing she expects in her yard,
[02:02:00] Speaker C: actually.
[02:02:02] Speaker B: Holy.
That's awesome.
It's not unusual to have ghosts in a cage, D.
