Show Notes

We're back at it with Dynamite from North Carolina where the action was as intense as a bartender trying to get Ric Flair to pay his bar tab! Okay, maybe not that intense, but it was another mostly solid effort from the AE Dub. Konosuke Takeshita continued to do things that set Erika's heart aflutter, Will Ospreay tests out the input for his new moveset, the Conglomeration rides again, and the brackets for the 2026 Men's and Women's Owen Hart Tournaments are announced with a couple cool surprises! We do get serious a for a bit and really kind of dig into what's not working about Darby's run as champion and the how the women seem to have been slotted into a specific spot on the show, but it's balanced out with plenty of levity on what's really going on in the Hyperbaric Time Chamber from Dragonball. Don't worry about it, just keep smiling!

Check your gravity levels at the door, grab a towel, and light the fuse!

[00:00:07] Speaker A: In the beginning, the earth was a dark, formless void. But then God spoke and said, let there be wrestling. And with that, there was Monday, and wrestling happened on Mondays. And God looked upon her works and said, holy shit, that's a lot of racism in video packages. On the second day, God got depressed, and lo, did she post about it on the DVD VR forums. And with that, there was Tuesday. On the third day, God said, let there be Wednesday. And lo, did the people reply unto her. We know what that means. [00:00:56] Speaker B: Darby, put on the harness. Welcome back to Wednesday Night Fake Fights. It's a me, Ella Taylor, and I am here to talk about Dynamite Weekly with my favorite Wrestle Queers. God, I need it this week. So, returning again, thankfully, wrestlequeer number one, Erica. The length warrants. Hi. Hello. How are you? [00:01:21] Speaker A: What the up? I. I, I don't. I got nothing. [00:01:27] Speaker B: I got nothing. [00:01:27] Speaker A: I. I never have anything for this prepared. I'm just like, yeah, let's say some swears and maybe it rhymes. [00:01:35] Speaker B: Yeah, right. Oh, this. And I. And I absolutely pulled that one out on you. That. That was. That was an out of left field. I think I'm gonna start doing that. That was fun. I think I'm gonna start, like, cold, open energy, y', all, with the intro. Instead of, like. Instead of like, like, like, what's. We're choreographing it. Like, instead of, like, really showing it to you. Like, I'm just gonna. Out of nowhere. [00:01:58] Speaker A: I mean, that's a good way to break up a con. The conversation we were having before. [00:02:03] Speaker B: Yeah. Desperately needed to happen, and now we're doing the show. And our other favorite wrestlequeer here, our very own creation, the apple of my eye. Like, like, just the greatest thing I've ever done. I don't know about y'. All. Yo, [00:02:26] Speaker C: I'm going. I have a big old homunculus. Very vascular, very, very built. That deadlift. [00:02:38] Speaker B: Okay. Yes. Number, numbers. Number 74. [00:02:41] Speaker C: Yeah, 74. Just sail through the. The area, splat onto the ring. [00:02:51] Speaker A: Homunculus. [00:02:53] Speaker B: That's. That's a way to get there. That's a way. [00:02:56] Speaker C: Listen, I can take a bump. Actually dead. [00:03:02] Speaker A: You're reminding me of web comics I've been seeing. It's called, like, wizard and Homunculus. And it's like this wizard. This wizard makes a homunculus, and he's like, you're my special little guy. What's that? Yeah, you can have smok. Yeah, you can have a gun. Let's go do this. Homunculus, you're my only friend, honestly. [00:03:23] Speaker C: If you. If you can't strap out your familiars or your homunculus, like, what are you even doing? [00:03:29] Speaker B: All right, y'. All. Y' all heard what happened with Gok Hendricks. That's basically what went down. Like, she escaped. I'm not gonna say I didn't. I'm not gonna say there wasn't bullet holes in the lab when I went down there, Right? [00:03:44] Speaker A: So we're looking at, like, a Full Metal Alchemist situation eventually when she, like, gets her together and comes back for revenge. [00:03:51] Speaker B: I don't think she's ever coming back. I'm pretty. I'm pretty sure she went all the way to the beach in Mexico looking for. Looking for what's his face. Not Morgan Freeman. The other one. Andy Dufrain. Andy Dufresne. Yeah. She went looking for Andy. And by Andy. [00:04:12] Speaker C: Oh, my God, that was such a good movie. Movie. [00:04:14] Speaker A: You know what? I've never seen that movie. [00:04:18] Speaker B: No. [00:04:19] Speaker A: And I'm gonna tell you why. Because it's the kind of movie that everybody says you need to see, and enough people have done it that I'm going to stubbornly tell them to go themselves. It looks stupid. [00:04:32] Speaker B: Erica, it's so good. [00:04:35] Speaker A: I really don't believe you. [00:04:36] Speaker B: It's, like, so good. You don't understand. Like, when I. So, like, back in, like, middle school, high school, when it came out and I was still pretending to be a boy, me and my bestest friend, we would, like, do the thing you do when you're. You're that age with your bestest friend and you drink surge and you. And you do the. The. You drink too much. Sugar's going on. You haven't discovered cannabis yet. You know what I mean? And we would, like, get really worked up and be like, you know, some kids, let's go do this, let's go do that. And we would just be like, yo, you want to watch a shank? Yeah, let's watch the shank. Yo, get the shank. And we just put on Shawshank Redemption and just have the best time that happened so much like that in, like. I am such a. [00:05:26] Speaker A: Like, thank you. That this is the gayest thing I've ever heard. [00:05:35] Speaker B: Sides, okay? But you know what? Some 21 years later, I was like, you know what? You gotta get busy living or get busy dying and grow some titties. [00:05:45] Speaker A: So I am sure it's a fine movie, but I will never find out for myself, because I am stubborn, and I will remain stubborn. And you know what else is stubborn? My commitment to Cryptid of The week. [00:05:56] Speaker C: Let's go. [00:06:00] Speaker B: Excellent transition. Beautiful girl. Beautiful. [00:06:04] Speaker A: I have two because this will shock you, but North Carolina sucks ass and has suck ass sugars. [00:06:11] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:06:13] Speaker A: So I got two. There's apparently giant mosquitoes called gallon nippers. [00:06:21] Speaker C: That's awful. [00:06:23] Speaker B: Gippers. [00:06:24] Speaker A: Gallon. Yeah, gippers. Gallon nipper. Yeah, it's a big ass mosquito. [00:06:30] Speaker B: Speaking of, Ella, in high school, that was my nickname in gym class. I had gala gal nippers. [00:06:39] Speaker A: I was gonna say you were a mosquito. You drank the blood of. Yeah, it's apparently like some Native American folklore kind of thing, but apparently a dude named Red Saunders got bit by one in 1855, and apparently some Irish immigrants saw him too. But you know, the Irish, you know, [00:07:02] Speaker B: hey, that's my great, great, great, great, great, great uncle's drinking buddy. All right. [00:07:07] Speaker A: Yeah, me too. [00:07:07] Speaker B: How dare you? [00:07:10] Speaker A: I'm pretty sure I had some Molly McGuire's in my bloodline. And then. Oh, yeah, the other one was there's apparently mermaids at Cape Fear, which, like, you'd think with like a. A name, a place of geography called Cape Fear, there'd be cool stuff. [00:07:26] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:07:27] Speaker A: But. Yeah, mermaids. [00:07:28] Speaker B: Mermaids. No, that's just. That's just Robert De Niro in a fishtail outfit is what's going on there. [00:07:39] Speaker A: I wouldn't fall for that. No. [00:07:41] Speaker C: God damn all for that. [00:07:43] Speaker B: Come on. [00:07:44] Speaker A: I know what case here is. I know. I know movies. [00:07:49] Speaker B: I was gonna say. I was gonna. [00:07:52] Speaker A: I know what redemption is. I haven't watched it because I don't want to. [00:07:55] Speaker B: Yeah, you just don't like. Art is the problem. All right? [00:07:59] Speaker A: I love art. I love art. And that's why I won't watch the Shawshank Redemption. We have what I think. All right. Yeah. So we are in North Carolina. [00:08:10] Speaker B: Yes. [00:08:10] Speaker A: For dynamite. May 13, 2026. Land of the gallon nippers. And MJF Maxwell Jacob Freeman arrives, pensive. And Renee corners and, you know, says, like, hey, what do you want to do? And like, remember, like, you got to sign that contract if you want to wrestle Darby for the title. And like, are you gonna do it? Are you gonna put your hair on the line? And he won't say anything, but he just walks towards the camera and the camera follows him. And, you know, Bryce Remsburg walks past, and then he walks by a few more other bald people and like, the camera, like, pans over to a crowd of bald men, and he's just looking more and more concerned and he keeps walking. He looks he to his right, and it's Sanjay Dut and Chris Daniel. [00:09:05] Speaker B: And Sanjay's got such a shitty eating green on his face. He's so good. [00:09:12] Speaker A: John Silver. Johnny Huggy walks by, gives us a little meat man flex. [00:09:18] Speaker B: Big pop from the crowd. We miss our Johnny Huggy. [00:09:22] Speaker A: Just. Jesus. He walks by every single bald person that works on awesome. [00:09:27] Speaker B: Holy. [00:09:27] Speaker A: And at the end of the line, champos. [00:09:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, oh, I noticed. You did. [00:09:30] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, notice. [00:09:32] Speaker B: Yeah, you did mention champa. I also got a pretty solid pop, I might add. [00:09:38] Speaker A: So what, the crowd pops for Darby? I don't care who they like. [00:09:43] Speaker C: I see who you cheer. [00:09:45] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, exactly. Your booze mean nothing to me. I see the rapist you cheer for. [00:09:55] Speaker A: Yep. So, yep, Chompers was there. And then, yeah, he gets to the king bald, and it's Ricochet who tells him, hey, don't worry, you look good bald. [00:10:08] Speaker C: Not as good as me, though. [00:10:10] Speaker A: Not as good as me. And then totally on a confirmed like, yes, you look. You would. You look better. He'll look good, but you'll look better. [00:10:18] Speaker B: Yes, boss. You are so good. You're so good. Right? And handsome and don't want to hook, you know? [00:10:22] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:10:22] Speaker A: This was the funniest thing I think I've ever seen. [00:10:30] Speaker B: It's really. Someone else talked about blue sky, too. It's like one of the stark differences between the. The Fed and something like this in. Aw. Is that like. This is actually comedy? Well, you know what I mean? Like, this is like environmental storytelling. [00:10:48] Speaker A: Yes. [00:10:49] Speaker B: Comedy. Whereas in the Fed, they'd be like, every single one of those guys would. Said something to him about the fact that they're bald so that you get the joke, you see, and. And I'm. Oh, my God. Whereas, like, then you see this, and it's like. That was gold. [00:11:07] Speaker A: No, it was. It was really good because I. If Bryce wasn't the first guy who walked by, it was, I think, what's his name? Rick Knox, while Renee was talking to him. And like, you just be like, oh, yeah, there's a ref in the shot. And then Bryce goes like, oh, that guy's bald too. Yeah, it's like. It was kind of subtle. And then they just, like, building more and more and more. It's like, hey, remember all the bald people that work in this company? [00:11:33] Speaker B: And by the time he gets the Ricochet, he's just seething. [00:11:39] Speaker C: It's like, what the. That's what he mouths as he walks towards. [00:11:42] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:11:44] Speaker A: So what the fuck? [00:11:47] Speaker C: There's. Yeah, it's. That's the intro also to the. The tag Match. He's like, wow, there are a lot of people. Bald guys that work here. [00:11:55] Speaker B: God, I'm dying. [00:11:57] Speaker A: So good. [00:11:58] Speaker B: So good. [00:11:59] Speaker A: Somebody. I forget who said it on Blue sky, but somebody said MJF is AW's Daffy Duck. [00:12:06] Speaker B: Oh, God. Yeah. [00:12:07] Speaker A: He's just this arrogant prick that just perfectly encapsulates like. Like, you can do something like this to him, and it's just deserved and funny. [00:12:19] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. You could always. On njf, it is always morally allowed. [00:12:27] Speaker C: It's also really great when he breaks, too, because later on in the card, he just. And that was. I was like, this is. This is so funny. This is so good. [00:12:36] Speaker B: Like, yeah, I. I absolutely. I want to also believe that this stipulation means that he's going to win, because I really. But part of me is like, okay, but then what if. What if he does have a movie deal after this and he has to shave his head for it, you know, or some like that. I'm gonna be so mad. I just don't want Darby to win. [00:12:59] Speaker A: I don't know. Like, they've. They've kind of just been like, ever since he came back last year. Like, they've highlighted his hair. Like, they've. Yeah, they've gone out of his way. Like, they haven't always specifically said his hair, but, like, his hair is, like, well pointed out. [00:13:12] Speaker B: Well, everybody. Everyone's talking about his hair plugs. I think it's. They're saying that his hairline has gotten, like, lesser because he used to have more of a widow's peak, didn't he? [00:13:23] Speaker A: Yes. And then, like, there's also the fact, like, when he came back, what, in, like, December or when or whenever he came back to get involved in that four way. Everyone is like, you look like punk with your hair. Like, everyone's like, your hair. You look like punk. Why? Right. [00:13:41] Speaker B: Oh, no, he's not the only one I'll talk about later on in the card, but someone else showed up that looked like CM Punk. And I was like, that was like a jump scare. I've seen. I've seen. I've seen your future, and it's fish. But, yeah, no, you're. You're. You're dead on. And I don't know, part of me is like, no, maybe he actually got hair plugs. But, like, I'm just sitting, like, look, I know. I'm sure there's people out there who don't appreciate the way I. I wantonly speak about the potential hormone replacement therapy that these cisgender men subject Themselves to. But, you know, if you got a whole bunch of, I don't know, extra testosterone in your body, you lose your hair. Ask me how I know. So, like, you know, it's not good. And like, I can't help but wonder if maybe he was starting to really lose his hair. And he's like, no, I'm 30 and I need to be a movie star. Give me the elon. You know, like it. Plug me. And then he came back and everyone's like, we're never letting you live this. [00:14:53] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:14:54] Speaker B: You're getting a hair versus hair match, like as soon as humanly possible, you prick. And that makes me giggle. Really. We are. I like thinking about it. I'm not gonna lie. [00:15:07] Speaker A: It is funny. [00:15:08] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:09] Speaker A: All right. Ah, well, moving on. [00:15:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:13] Speaker A: We come right to show opens. And we come right with our very opening mass match. It's the Dogs and FTR and Thompson Choppington versus Orange Cassidy, the Young Bucks and Copen Cage. There's almost color coordination because Copeland is wearing the black and green. Yeah, whatever that. Like the neon green. Yeah. The high vir. But then Orange Cassidy never really changes what he wears. [00:15:46] Speaker C: Yeah, he's usual garb. [00:15:48] Speaker B: Sometimes he just becomes darker denim when he's more blood orange. [00:15:52] Speaker A: Yes. And then Christian, like. No, Christian is just not having it. [00:15:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:59] Speaker A: No. [00:15:59] Speaker B: If they. If they don't make a turtleneck that color, then you're done like that. [00:16:04] Speaker A: They should have. I would have laughed if they made a turtleneck. If Edge made a edge. Excuse me, Adam. [00:16:11] Speaker C: It's great. It's a high necked turtleneck too. That was funny because I was thinking about wearing one today. [00:16:17] Speaker B: Oh, do I go as Papa? [00:16:20] Speaker C: Yeah. It's green, though. It's a nice. It's a very nice olive green. But like, God, it is very Papa coded. I just refer to him as Daddy in my notes. [00:16:36] Speaker B: I go with Papa because Effie is Daddy and I'm gonna be seeing Effie at June 21st at Remix and for First Avenue. Y' all should go. We talked about a little bit before we got on the pod, but yeah, local wrestling. Support your local wrestling. [00:16:58] Speaker A: Yep. So like, they get in the ring and like it. It goes into like a line brawl sort of thing where like they light up and then they just start punching. And, you know, the face is iconic. Basically just take control. North Carolina's FTR country, so everybody's happy to see him. And Dex gets a superplex and everybody pops. But OC counters anyway to keep it going. The Bucks come in the clear house and they do, like, that big split leg dive. And then the locomotion Northern Lights to Clark Connors. And then they do, like, super kick party. And Stokely's like, no swing. [00:17:31] Speaker B: Is that the one where he swings it? [00:17:33] Speaker A: Yeah, he, like, grabs somebody's foot or something. [00:17:36] Speaker B: Yeah. And swings it into his brother's face. I love that spot. It happens quite a bit, but, God, I love it. It's one of my favorite countering the brothers moves. So, like, eat, brother foot. [00:17:49] Speaker A: Eat brother foot. Was it they. All right. They noticed. They note that Stokely still has Christian's watch. If you will recall, he pillmanized his wrist and stole his watch. When the pillmanizing happened. [00:18:02] Speaker C: Oh, even Tabs was like, yeah, I guess he stole it because they were just like. He took it off his wrist. [00:18:10] Speaker A: We have it on camera. [00:18:12] Speaker B: Yeah, I. I can't heal around that button. That's. That'. Thiever. [00:18:17] Speaker A: But then, like, possessions. Nine tenths of the law. So that's like, fair enough. It's his. Now they. Yeah, they do the super kick party anyway. And Christian gets a gigantic pop for kicking cash in the balls. Like the commercial. Like, I. I just. I love how over his. Like, I'm tired of being. I don't like being around these baby faces actors. They just doing all this heel. [00:18:42] Speaker C: It was very, like, super casual. He just walks up and just nails him right in the nuts, like. And then, like, goes around, walks back. He was just very casual about it. I loved it. He gets busted open and on in two here or not. [00:18:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:19:00] Speaker C: But like, in this match, which I was like, damn. [00:19:03] Speaker A: Out of all the folks under his eye, too. I didn't see what did it. And it didn't seem like he was bleeding that much. But, like, I was like, damn, Christian badass. [00:19:13] Speaker C: Yeah, I was. I was like. Because this is also her out. Yeah. [00:19:19] Speaker A: But yeah, still the watch comes into play again as Christian tries to get it back from Big Stoke and lets the heels get control. Taz was on one again as he's just sitting on commentary being like, nobody likes Cajun cope [00:19:36] Speaker C: railing against them. [00:19:38] Speaker A: Stokely gets on there and is gassed. [00:19:43] Speaker C: He's, like, breathing. [00:19:45] Speaker A: Stokely gets on there, and it's like, I am being harassed. And Taz is like, you sound blown up. [00:19:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:19:53] Speaker A: And then everybody is laughing at him. [00:19:56] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:19:57] Speaker A: And this is where. Yes, he makes the. The claim that because he stole the watch, it's now his watch. That's it. [00:20:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:05] Speaker A: They do a nice spot where Christian does tries to do, like, a long crawl to his corner While Dax is holding on to his leg. And he's just about to get in. And the. The heels all pull the baby faces off. [00:20:18] Speaker C: Yeah. Sneak up behind him. [00:20:20] Speaker A: All right, so Cage does get, like, a nice hot tag to cope, and he just, like, clears house crowds going nuts. Stokely is just like, Copeland needs Lexapro. [00:20:32] Speaker C: He's a crazy old man. [00:20:34] Speaker A: Yep. He needs Lexapro. And then he hits. Oh, he hits the. What's that? Like, downward ddt. Like that. He grabs his head and then does, like, the. Like, the reverse X Factor thing. I forget what he called that in the Fed, but, yeah, like, Stokely's, like, that move was lethal. And Taz is like, no, it isn't, because Connors is still alive. Like, you're being extremely literal. Thank you. O.C. gets his, like, slow corner attack, and then Christian does that double reverse ddt, which was sick. They set him up. They set the heels all around the, you know, four quarters, and everybody hits a dive on top. Well, Copeland hits an impaler. Ddt. Yeah, it was nice. Very good spot. Cajun. OC Wind up in the ring alone for a second, and Cassie is gonna put his hands in his pockets. [00:21:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:21:34] Speaker B: No. [00:21:34] Speaker A: He's like, no, stop. So then Cassidy grabs his hands and puts Cage's hands in Cage's pockets and then puts his own hands in his pockets. Crowd pops huge. [00:21:44] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. I'm. I'm. I am at home losing it. [00:21:49] Speaker A: Loving this. So. So they're standing there, they pose for a second, and then Cage is just like, no, this. Grabs Cassidy and throws at the heels. [00:21:58] Speaker C: I love it when they use Cassidy as a. As a weapon. It's literally my favorite thing. [00:22:04] Speaker B: It's probably one of my favorite things. [00:22:06] Speaker C: I mean, I just stole it from my intro. [00:22:10] Speaker B: Yeah, right. [00:22:13] Speaker C: Also, I think it's a Copa Matic. Is that one copomatic? [00:22:17] Speaker A: Yeah, because he called it Ed. I think it was the edumatic in the Fed. So copomatic. Copomatic sounds worse. He should. He should talk to Colt Cabana about, like, using, like, Cope, the Copa Cabana or something. [00:22:33] Speaker C: I like that. [00:22:34] Speaker B: Or he should just. Just not. I love. [00:22:38] Speaker C: Also, Stokely is just like, I hate him so much. I. He hates O.C. he's, like, the best thing that Cage ever has done is throwing OC At Connors and ftr. [00:22:52] Speaker A: Stokely's hate for orange is so, like, well documented. Like, so many of his. The things that he's done exist because he hates orange. Cassidy, like, he broke up the best friends, essentially. Like, that was him. [00:23:07] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. So, like. [00:23:09] Speaker C: Like, he made it his other mission. [00:23:13] Speaker A: Other happened, but, like, he orchestrated that. All right, so FTR comes in, they get a shatter machine on Cope. That look like the most up thing I've ever seen. It's like they break Coppola, like. Like, he's like, completely vertical with the ground. At some point, he doesn't even hit the knees. He just, like, goes straight on his face. [00:23:42] Speaker C: He's a huge guy, too. [00:23:45] Speaker A: He's not a small dude. Yeah, Connors gets it. They do like a big, you know, finisher train after the. After it gets broken up. Connor's levels Cope with his shoulder tackle with a. Misses his spear Cope and the Bucks all hit super kicks. I don't think Copeland get his leg up that high. Orange punch. [00:24:04] Speaker B: God bless. [00:24:06] Speaker A: And that's all. [00:24:07] Speaker B: Yeah, [00:24:09] Speaker A: it was fun. It was a lot of fun. It actually. Yeah, it was fun. [00:24:14] Speaker C: Oh, absolutely. I think this is also the second time poor Connors has to eat a pin in this, like, tag team match. [00:24:22] Speaker A: He's. He's the designated pin eater. [00:24:24] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:25] Speaker A: I mean, they're still gonna. They're still gonna pretend that Dave Finley is. Yeah. [00:24:30] Speaker C: Getting some of that. Some of those L's. He can take it. [00:24:33] Speaker A: I mean, he's. He is technically a bigger star than Connors is. Technically. Technically. [00:24:40] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:24:41] Speaker A: It was a fun little match. And then, like. Yeah. As Hampton noted, Christian's got, like, a cut or a shiner or a mouse or whatever you call it. Yeah, he's bleeding. [00:24:51] Speaker B: Well, he was doing some crazy. This, man. Every time he. He hops to the outside, I won't say jump because it's not a jump. He. He, like, old man hops off the top rope to the outside. And every time he does that, I'm just like, please don't. Please know. Please don't, Papa. You're going to get hurt, Papa. You are not young man anymore. Papa. [00:25:15] Speaker C: I am a little concerned about. About. [00:25:18] Speaker A: I mean, my dad will live forever. Yeah. [00:25:25] Speaker C: Like, I. Yeah, I know he's only. But he had already busted open. He busted his wrist and I don't know, it feels. [00:25:32] Speaker A: I mean, like if he survived that ass. That one match he had with Darby [00:25:39] Speaker B: years ago at this point, God, where [00:25:42] Speaker A: Hope came back, when Cook came back after, like, they basically, like, destroyed the ring area, it was. [00:25:49] Speaker B: It was pretty ridiculous. [00:25:51] Speaker A: It was really. [00:25:52] Speaker B: Yeah, it was really. It was a whole lot of Christian Cage having the only kind of match Darby can have. [00:25:58] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. I know what you're talking about. [00:26:01] Speaker B: Yeah. Y. Yeah. Hey, I love that. All that's all we have to say. [00:26:09] Speaker A: All right, so we get another Death Riders training with Osprey video. [00:26:15] Speaker B: And now on to this week's Homoerotica. Strap in and strap on. [00:26:21] Speaker A: Danny Garcia lets us know that Osprey is cleared to wrestle and says, yo, I want to see something from you tonight, young boy. Billy, I'm. They. All right, so, like, to set up a butthole. [00:26:34] Speaker B: Like, let's. Let's go. Like, [00:26:38] Speaker A: to set up the scene. The Death Riders are all just like. They're on a roof. They're doing, like, handball, basically. [00:26:45] Speaker B: Yeah, no, that. They were just playing handball. [00:26:47] Speaker A: But, like, they were like. They were like, slap the ball, do a lap. Slap the ball, do a lap. They're. None of them are wearing shirts. I'm convinced that Marina's main purpose there is to keep the boys from just kissing all the time. And it's like, no, you have to do some push ups before you kiss. [00:27:05] Speaker C: He is the problem. Literally the problem. [00:27:10] Speaker B: Yeah, well, hey, she's very. No, Marina is fulfilling a very important role that used to be fulfilled by William Regal. Just boys. No, no, no. The buggerings later, you know, like, there's [00:27:26] Speaker A: a time and a place. It's like you got. You gotta work hard to play hard. [00:27:29] Speaker B: Yeah. As they say, with each other's bums. Yes. [00:27:34] Speaker A: So. So Osprey. Osprey is doing, like a neck bend with his arms crossed over his chest. Yeah, a neck bridge. Like, bridge on his neck. [00:27:43] Speaker B: Taz had some sort of fancy Japanese word for it, I think, or something. [00:27:51] Speaker A: I mean, while Mox is demonstrating how he does the bully choke on Yuta, he's just like, getting, like, repeatedly clubbed in the face while this is happening. [00:28:02] Speaker B: Like, all right, I didn't write. I'm pretty sure I remember the exact wording, but I got it. This. Oh, my God. This might be the gayest thing I've seen in wrestling. I've seen some. He's just repeatedly jamming Yuta's head up and then shoving his other arm up into his throat. And. And he's just looking at Osprey, like, got. Open it up and jam it in. Open and jam. Open it and jam it. And I'm just like, this is the gayest thing ever. [00:28:34] Speaker A: Now, now, hold on. There is. There is one thing I would like to add to that. With his opening, he's like, you open the door. Which open the door thing that he said to Osprey to get him involved in this. He says, you keep running into a wall when there's a door. Oh, so Moxley is good at this. [00:28:54] Speaker B: Yeah, he's very good at this. And he knows that I'm at home going, that sounds like gay sex. [00:29:01] Speaker A: I mean, it really doesn't. [00:29:03] Speaker B: I know. [00:29:04] Speaker A: There's no door opening. Really. [00:29:07] Speaker B: I mean. Never mind. [00:29:09] Speaker C: Things have changed. [00:29:12] Speaker A: Things have changed. And there are doors involved in gay sex. There's not. [00:29:18] Speaker B: It's mostly. It's mostly the shoving. Yeah. And the. The jamming or whatever word he was going for. Either way. So. Okay. This is all so gay. And then, yeah, they talk it out and they get real philosophical goal. And it's kind of like pillow talking on the mat, you know? [00:29:36] Speaker A: I. I could not stop staring at Moxley's chest, which was like that. Just like, pound of chest hair is like, damn, I am. I'm on progesterone. [00:29:48] Speaker C: Very much enjoy the fact that he. And there are others don't, like, take care they don't wax the body hair. Like. [00:29:58] Speaker A: Yeah, you gotta have some variety, truly. You gotta have some hairy guys. You gotta have some clean shaving guys. Some guys who are like, in the middle, [00:30:09] Speaker B: he's like, I want you to be a porpoise. I want you to shine up like a rubbery, rubbery creature of the sea. Go out Lex Luthor or Lex Luger. God damn it. [00:30:26] Speaker A: That's a. That's a dated reference. As. That's so good, though, because nobody watched that movie, I don't think. Yes. Box is like, hey, you remember the time you. The first time you won Best Super Juniors? You flew like a bird, because that's what birds do. And it's like. It's a great feeling in the world. And he felt joy. And then things happened. Life happened. Bad things happened. Yeah, well, bad things did happen. What did you do? Think about it. And there's like a weight on his shoulders, and you feel like he can't fly. And nothing's gonna change. And. But, like, nothing actually has changed. You can still fly. You're more dangerous. You're a bird of play. Play. God damn it. [00:31:04] Speaker B: We're all. Piper, there's gonna be. There's so many things you're gonna have to, like, like, chop. I'm sorry. [00:31:12] Speaker A: No, you can leave bird of play in. That's fine. Bird of prey, please cut. [00:31:17] Speaker B: Most of the times I said butthole. Thank you. [00:31:19] Speaker A: Butthole, butthole, butthole, butthole, butthole. Don't go out there not to protect anything. Go out there to give something. [00:31:28] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:31:29] Speaker A: And then he just, like, damn it. Wheeling. If you're gonna snap his head down, stab his Head down, [00:31:38] Speaker C: Man. [00:31:39] Speaker B: I love my necks. [00:31:41] Speaker C: I like. [00:31:41] Speaker A: I love Mox. [00:31:42] Speaker C: Yeah. He's so good. It's so funny. I was. I was literally thinking about Death Ground. It's warm in with the Pathfinder game I'm playing, but I was just like, holy Mox. It's like, what if. Everything's always just been Death Ground, though. [00:32:04] Speaker A: But I. Yeah. [00:32:05] Speaker C: Anyways, I love mocks. [00:32:07] Speaker A: I do think if I wrote a fantasy rpg, one of, like, the fighter moves would be Death Ground. Yeah, that's like. Like a. Like a level 10 thing or something you get is, like, all right, you can, like, call a last stand and that you can't be moved or you can't run or something like that. Disadvantage against you, one of the skill [00:32:26] Speaker B: trees is Death Jitsu. [00:32:28] Speaker C: That's a feat. Chain brother. Yeah. [00:32:33] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:32:34] Speaker A: I like to get me. [00:32:37] Speaker C: So it's been a hot. [00:32:38] Speaker A: I set up my dice jail, brother. 20s are coming up cold. [00:32:46] Speaker C: I. So I actually took wrestler as an archetype for my champion in my Pathfinder game. So now I can do. Yeah, I can do running grabs and choke slams and suplexes. That's awesome. [00:33:02] Speaker B: Wait, is your character, per chance, also some sort of cyber wizard? [00:33:07] Speaker C: No, no, he's a Tiefling. He's a Tiefling. Human ancestry. [00:33:13] Speaker A: He's a devil. [00:33:16] Speaker B: I can dig it. I can dig it. I was just like, oh, my God. If you ended up being a wizard wrestler. Hampton Seros. [00:33:22] Speaker A: I'm an elf Buster sword now, so. [00:33:25] Speaker C: Well, there you go. [00:33:29] Speaker A: All right. I had to go wash dishes, so I might have missed some stuff, but Ricochet is telling us about his Stadium Stampede team, and he's got Don Callis, and, like, he already recruited a new AW national champion, Mark Davis. And Andrade has also been added to the team from the Don Callis family, as well as the dogs. And the dogs say some things that I don't really care about. [00:33:55] Speaker C: This is how I found out Jack Perry lost the title BT Dubs. [00:34:01] Speaker B: It was a solid little collision. It was a solid little hour collision. [00:34:05] Speaker A: Excuse me. It was. Oh, fair. It was. Yeah, fairway. The hell. It was actually, like, a very cool. I like that they do unique venues. Like. Yeah, yeah. I would not think, like, hey, do a wrestling show on a indoor golf arena, and then they do, and it's cool. It was cool. [00:34:22] Speaker B: And, like, I totally thought that it was gonna be, like. Like I talked about last week, I thought it was gonna be the kind of thing where they stayed and filmed the extra hour and then just played it later. But like, no, they like set up in a whole different ass place. Like with a. Yeah, like a indoor golf course, which I've never seen before. That's really. Yeah, it was nuts. [00:34:45] Speaker A: I had to make sure that this wasn't like that Saudi Arabia golf thing. But no, it's not. It's like a Tiger woods thing, which is not much better. But at least he's not doing work yet that we know of. [00:35:01] Speaker C: Oh, what you did, miss, is Jericho doing like this voice over and video package and he's talking about the guys that he's getting on his team. So Jack Harry is getting burning the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega and. Yes, I think that's just about it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:35:26] Speaker A: Her Syndicate versus Demand. [00:35:31] Speaker B: I don't talk about it. Wait, was this. But was this the video package where he's talking about Ricochet or. [00:35:39] Speaker C: No, he was saying, like. Well, he was basically saying. He basically laid out the. He basically laid out his team because, like, you will. [00:35:51] Speaker B: All right. But then he ends it with bald because he like ends the one where it's just like. It's like this super dramatic over like. Oh, like voiceover and all this. And it just ends with bald. I was like, God damn it. Again, I hate you. But at least you're entertaining. Like, that is actually funny. Like, at least you're funny. You know, if you can do that and. And retire soon, maybe I won't hate you. No promises. Maybe. [00:36:22] Speaker C: But yeah. [00:36:23] Speaker B: Then we go. Erica. Erica is not impressed. Yes. Drop it. [00:36:32] Speaker A: He was fine in his return match. I thought it was pretty good. And I'm glad Ricochet won all the 300 anyway. [00:36:40] Speaker C: Times match. [00:36:42] Speaker A: Every time. [00:36:43] Speaker B: He shows up every time. [00:36:47] Speaker C: Heavy, heavy matches. Doing a lot of heavy lifting. I felt so bad for. [00:36:52] Speaker A: Well, yeah, so did Ricochet. [00:36:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:54] Speaker A: Yeah. In that match with Jericho. Anyway. Oh, yeah. All right. This match, Speedball. Mike Bailey versus Westbrook. Poor Westbrook does not have a first name. And I didn't look him up. I didn't. Journalism. [00:37:09] Speaker C: Also, speedball walks in with Kevin Knight's music. And I was like, that's vaguely disrespectful, sir. [00:37:18] Speaker A: Oh, no. They came into the. The jet speed. [00:37:20] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. Yeah. Well, his music played longer. [00:37:25] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:37:26] Speaker B: He didn't. [00:37:26] Speaker A: We didn't get the. [00:37:29] Speaker B: Yeah, we didn't get the speedball. [00:37:31] Speaker A: Speedball. [00:37:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:32] Speaker A: Yeah. That is kind of unfortunate. [00:37:34] Speaker B: That is one of the. One of the better. Better themes to exist, apparently. So they're all pretty good, but that one's a real banger. [00:37:43] Speaker A: So. Yes, Speedball gets some quick Offense in. Westbrook messes up a springboard dealy which was definitely intentional. Like he, that guy was like, I'm gonna do a springboard. [00:37:54] Speaker B: Oh, no. [00:37:56] Speaker A: And then he lands that corner. Time Adventure kick. Ultima weapon. And that's was like 30 seconds. [00:38:06] Speaker B: Now I'm gonna make a joke for anyone who's ever played the Madden video game franchise. Tony Khan was back in, they call it dusty position. And he is holding, holding down the, the A button to just rush the offense because like it. Next match, Kevin Knight's already out there. Send out the next victim. [00:38:38] Speaker C: Westbrook rolls out and that's. Yeah, Kevin's already in this. [00:38:43] Speaker B: In the, in this we're open challenge. Yes. [00:38:48] Speaker A: So yes. They, they announced this ahead of time that Kevin Knight would defend TNT championship in an open challenge. [00:38:54] Speaker B: And. [00:38:55] Speaker A: And it is answered by the Don Callis families. Brian Cage and. Holy shit. [00:39:02] Speaker B: Holy. [00:39:03] Speaker C: Oh my. Vascular. [00:39:07] Speaker A: Vascular. [00:39:08] Speaker B: I forgot he was Don Callis family. [00:39:12] Speaker A: He is Don Callis family. [00:39:14] Speaker B: Hafter. Are you familiar with the machine Brian Cage? [00:39:20] Speaker C: This is. No, this is my first time seeing him. I called him RFK's wet dream. It does not surprise me that he is Don Callis family. [00:39:36] Speaker B: He's basically like if you took Wolverine and just fed him like all the human growth hormone, just. [00:39:45] Speaker C: It's not natural. [00:39:48] Speaker B: And you can't do that. Your bodies don't do that. [00:39:52] Speaker A: He has had all of the hgh, all of it. He is bigger than he was when he went out with injury is great because this. [00:40:04] Speaker B: No, no Hampter. The look on your face is true and right because like he used to be, he used to be huge. He was already huge. [00:40:12] Speaker A: And he's bigger. [00:40:13] Speaker B: He's bigger. And I didn't know it was because he's not young. Yeah, like, like he's older. Like he's, he came up with the bucks. They were all trained by Canyon. Who better than Canyon? [00:40:26] Speaker C: Taz talked about him pulling him in. So I was like, yeah, clearly. [00:40:31] Speaker A: He's the original Team Taz guy. [00:40:33] Speaker C: It was so funny. My partner was like, you know, AEW doesn't have any like real big bruiser guys. I was like, well, Brody King. And then this machine goddamn walked out. [00:40:47] Speaker B: Holy. [00:40:48] Speaker C: What is this? [00:40:51] Speaker A: Like, oh my God. I, I, I, I like to be charitable to Brian Cage. He's not everybody. He's. I actually don't know if he's anybody's favorite. I think he's a good hand. Like, he's like a guy great. [00:41:02] Speaker B: I've always loved him. [00:41:04] Speaker A: He can have great matches. He can kind of go in anybody's style. But I am begging this guy, please, slowly, please stop stacking. Like, stop stacking gear, please. [00:41:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:41:20] Speaker A: Like, you guys. [00:41:20] Speaker B: Are you just walking around with an IV at home like, like, what's going on, dude? Like, this is not okay. [00:41:30] Speaker A: Because, like, this, he keeps getting injured and he keeps getting injured because he's [00:41:36] Speaker B: juicing to the goddamn kills. He grew gills so that he could juice to them. Yes. Like, it's just crazy Water world. It was nuts. Is like, I'm glad you're doing deep cuts this week. [00:41:54] Speaker A: I'm glad he's back. I'm so glad he's back. [00:41:56] Speaker B: But, like, me too. But, like, I hope he's okay. [00:42:00] Speaker A: I looked at that guy when he came out. He's like, I forget. [00:42:04] Speaker B: I saw. [00:42:05] Speaker A: I saw somebody posted this somewhere. But, like, if. If Brian Cage did the piss test melt. [00:42:15] Speaker C: Yes. I want a cup of that man's piss. [00:42:19] Speaker B: My man. My. My guy's abs got abs. Like, this is not okay. It was a great. [00:42:30] Speaker A: I will say this as well. At least he adapted his style. Like, he usually. He. He can. He's very agile. He can do flips, shockingly. [00:42:38] Speaker B: So he. Yeah, he used to do, like, cruiserweight style while being way too big. That's why he was kind of compared to, like, Wolverine, because it's like he's this agile little. Who's also like a. You know. [00:42:53] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. But he seems to have, like, kind of toned that bit down, which is good because that's going to keep his muscles from snapping off the bones. [00:43:03] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. I was gonna say the ligaments shall remain a little bit more intact. [00:43:10] Speaker A: Taz lets us know Brian Cage has been to the gym a couple of times. [00:43:13] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:43:14] Speaker A: I almost think that this isn't gonna work because knights about as tall as cages. Yeah. And he's still kind of big, but then he runs at him and just, like, bounces off. It's like, oh, no. Okay. This is gonna. This is gonna be fine. [00:43:32] Speaker C: He starts with. He does a chop. And I was. It was like, what? Maybe not. Maybe not, bro. [00:43:37] Speaker B: No, no, no. You might. You have to think. You have to dream a little bit bigger, darling. Yes. [00:43:44] Speaker C: It's like, at what he ends up doing. And he'll does this. He pulls this out a lot when he faces bigger challengers, which makes a ton of sense. But it's a lot of. It's a lot of drop kicks. It's a lot of both feet on the chest. Using my whole entire body to get you down, because that's the only way that I can do it. Or that's the, that's like as that's where most of my force lies. [00:44:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, and it's. I think it's like a nice change of pace from usually it's like the smaller guy has to kick the bigger guy's legs out from under him and Knight has like a different way of dealing with it, which I think is clever. [00:44:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:44:28] Speaker A: Cage basically dominates the entire match until. And he's, he's doing so until Night avoids a charge and he drop kicks him from the apron to the floor and it ties like a big tope and I don't know what happened. I loved how it looked though, because it just looked like Cage shrugs him aside. Yeah, I don't know. I don't like this. This is the first one. Like he does the big dive and then like he crashes and I don't know if he was supposed to bounce off a Cage because he does that a couple times in the match too. Like he bounces off him but he, he just like, like it looks like Cage just like shrugs them off and it just like. No, away with you smaller human. Yeah. [00:45:13] Speaker C: So they're both 6 foot Brian Cage, at least according to like Google search is build weight is 8 to 68, while Kevin's is 200. [00:45:28] Speaker B: But that 68. How tall? [00:45:31] Speaker A: How tall? [00:45:31] Speaker C: Six foot. [00:45:33] Speaker A: Six foot. Two, six, eight. [00:45:34] Speaker C: Yeah. Also. [00:45:36] Speaker B: Oh, he's so big though. [00:45:40] Speaker C: Ryan cage is 42 years old. [00:45:43] Speaker B: Oh my God. [00:45:45] Speaker C: I was like, I looked at the year he was born and I was like, huh, that's familiar. [00:45:51] Speaker A: I don't want to say. I want to see what he looks like when he's Lex Luger's age right now. But I kind of want to see how he looks. I don't know. [00:46:04] Speaker B: I want him to be okay because I love him. [00:46:07] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't want anybody to be up but like in the first cycle. First. [00:46:13] Speaker B: Right. Yeah. Turn it off, dude. Like the first time I was introduced to the Bucks and Brian Cage was watching the Dark side of the Ring episode about Chris Canyon and like realizing like that's who like, like they like Chris Kany, like took all them under his wing. And that's why, I don't know if you caught it, Hampter, but at one point, after laying a little bit of a beat down on Kevin Knight, he just, you know, get. Gets the crowd riled up and goes, hey, who better than Cage? Or whatever. Like, and like crowd goes crazy. It's like. Because that's an homage to Canyon and, and now I'm sad thinking about our, our gay elders who are no longer here. Poor dude. Poor gay elders. And I think about the ones that are here and it sucks for them too. Just sucks. But yeah, so like every, I can't help but love him even though, like, he's gotta, gotta stop. Like, I, I, I can't. I admit to a bias because I know that like, they got super cool with Canyon knowing that he was gay. And it's like, okay, cool. Like you, you have my heart forever. So that's, that's how this goes. I guess there's nothing I can do to change that. [00:47:35] Speaker C: It's a good, it's a good thermometer, right? [00:47:39] Speaker A: Speaking. Speaking of bias, Taz is very biased commentator. But like, this is actually perfect for this because Taz was his manager. Taz knows how to gas him up. So Taz is doing a great job on commentary for this match. To be like, here's why you should be impressed with Brian Cage. Ask Tony if that's, if it's true that he looked like that in high school. Yes. We can never forget Tony Schiavone with his penis, with the abs. [00:48:07] Speaker B: Oh, God, you ripping it? Hey, that. No, because I forgot. And that's not fair. You don't know. [00:48:20] Speaker A: I just remembered it right now. I didn't put it in my notes. Yeah, I think Excalibur's mic breaks for a second because Taz just takes over commentary too. It's fun. We're having fun. Audio issues. Audio issues. Cage is hitting cool moves and it's cool and, but like nights night selling is really, really good in this entire thing. So he does manage to hang Cage up by the throat on the ropes and he gets like that big springboard drop kick. And he still keeps getting all these big moves. And then he goes, gets him outside. Drop kick, Tope colon. Hilo gets caught and he's about to think, oh, no, Brian's going to kill him again. But he turns into a hurricane run into steps and gets a big clothesline. Lance Archer gets involved and speedball kicks him in the face. Yay, Speedball. You are an a hero. You're a great hero. Superplex tonight. He goes after. Yeah, he tries going after speedball, but Speedball moonsault on the Lance Archer avoids discot lariat and that gets a ddt. And then they sort of like try and do like a hurricane rod, a counter on the top rope and they kind of mess it up, but they save it basically by Cage kind of just like grabs Knight by the foot. [00:49:43] Speaker C: Yeah. And he lifts them up. [00:49:45] Speaker A: He lifts him up. And credit tonight because that's like takes some course, right? Because he had his like he has hands like on the mat. Like oh, oh, oh, yeah. And they lifted it up. They saved it. They got the Hurricane Rana the UFO splashing. Kevin Knight retains. [00:50:01] Speaker B: Hell yeah, he does. [00:50:03] Speaker A: That was, it was fun. [00:50:04] Speaker C: It was an intense match. I was just like this. I, I do, I think at some point I was like, Kevin might not. It's like is, are we gonna get a belt turnover? Like he just, it was a good, it was a great match. [00:50:19] Speaker A: Very interesting. [00:50:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:50:20] Speaker B: On Brian Cage never. Brian Cage I think understands that he is Barry Horowitz. He is going to be jobber to the stars forever in his, in his friend's company and they're going to make sure he is paid and he can take all the steroids he wants and he can come wrestle for three, four matches and then get injured and they'll, you know, they'll pay for his surgery and even more steroids to heal with and, and you know, I, I think, I love when girls get to live their best life. So like, good, good for him, you know, that's how I feel. [00:50:56] Speaker A: Please. [00:50:57] Speaker B: Yeah, good. [00:50:58] Speaker A: Please lay off. [00:51:00] Speaker B: Please slow the down. Yeah, seriously. [00:51:03] Speaker A: Cycle off, cycle off. [00:51:05] Speaker B: Jesus Christ. [00:51:06] Speaker A: Just a little bit. A lot of it. All right, so get a little bit of a promo afterwards from both members of Jet Speed. Speedball congratulates Knight. Knight gives him prop. It gives them props. He's still standing and is TNT champion. Speedy tells him not to dwell on last week because he, he lost last week in the main event. Everybody knows it, but Kevin Knight's a future world champion. He's a main event star. But it all has Speedball thinking that they want whoever's next after the main event tonight. So they've never faced cash to one on1 in AEW. They do have a law. They, they did have a bunch of matches in DDT in Japan. They, yeah, something about Darby. [00:52:00] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. Yeah, yeah. [00:52:02] Speaker C: He wants to see MGF balls. He's becoming the, yeah. AEW World Championship. [00:52:09] Speaker A: I want to becoming the World Championship. [00:52:12] Speaker C: Hey look, [00:52:15] Speaker A: I love when guys mess that up. Going to become the championship. [00:52:22] Speaker B: I forgive them because of the whole French Canadian thing. You know, wrestling is a second language. So like it's okay. But like I, I, I don't know. To me it was like also Knight [00:52:36] Speaker A: was the one that said it. [00:52:38] Speaker B: Oh, Knight did. Oh, I thought it was. [00:52:40] Speaker A: That's speedball. [00:52:41] Speaker B: Oh, I thought it was Speedball. Oh, never mind. [00:52:44] Speaker A: There's no. [00:52:44] Speaker B: There's no excuse. There's no excuse. I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure Kevin Knight's just. Just cool and. And just forgets, like, he. That up. He up promos like that all the time. Instead of people being like, man, it's awful. He's no good at promos. Everyone's like, ah, yeah, Kev, is he cute? Message of his pros, because he's Kevin and we love. [00:53:16] Speaker A: I can't keep doing that. I'm too depressed to keep doing that. All right, all right. So they have announced the brackets for the men's Owen Hart Memorial Tournaments. So on the west side, we have Samoa Joe versus Will Ospreay and Mark Davis versus Jack Perry. On the opposite end, Swerve Strickland versus Bandito, and Birdie King versus Claudio. [00:53:43] Speaker C: Oh, boy. [00:53:47] Speaker A: They. This is a very abbreviated tournament this year. I feel like. I don't. I think they had more rounds last year, maybe. [00:53:56] Speaker B: Yeah. I don't know. I feel like they got just a lot going on. [00:54:00] Speaker A: There is. Well, I don't know about. There is a lot going on. I remember they had that, like, Hangman had to go through, like, more rounds to get to the finals. I don't know. I could just be entirely messing that up. It's. They don't seem to be, like, doing much to not say, like, yes, Osprey is winning this. [00:54:23] Speaker C: Oh, because. [00:54:24] Speaker A: Because. Because, like, he's got to be Joe. [00:54:28] Speaker C: No, last year was the same. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I just grabbed it. It was Will and Kevin Knight. Kevin. Brody King and Takeshita. Mark Briscoe, Kyle Fletcher, Adam Page, wild card. And then. [00:54:46] Speaker A: That's right, they had the wild card gimmick last year. [00:54:49] Speaker B: Okay, I remember that. [00:54:50] Speaker A: But, yeah, like, I. Yeah, I think that, like, since all ins and Wembley in the uk, it's going to be. Will wins. And it seems to kind of make sense because he's gonna. He's got the. Joe's been giving him. Mark Davis beat the. Out of him a few weeks back. [00:55:09] Speaker B: Yep. Yeah, the boys at the back. [00:55:13] Speaker A: Yeah. And then Swerve and Bandito have been, you know, sniping at each other on promos. And then you have Birdie and Claudio is a rematch from what? C2. [00:55:24] Speaker B: C2. Yeah, like the first C2, which was gross. Like that. That was like, one of the first times. I feel like we got to get, like, a solo Brody King, really. And it was like, oh, oh, oh, he real good. [00:55:44] Speaker A: Yeah, not a lot of Matches on this, but all day. Pretty good. Should be pretty entertaining. [00:55:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:55:52] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:55:53] Speaker A: I do think they're telegraphing a little bit too hard who wins the men's, but you know, who do you. [00:55:58] Speaker B: Wait. Well, I think it's probably. It's got to be Will, doesn't it? [00:56:01] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:56:02] Speaker C: Yeah, it's gotta be. [00:56:03] Speaker A: Well, like, I don't. [00:56:04] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. No, I misheard what you said before. I thought you said it wasn't going to be. Well, I was like, what? [00:56:09] Speaker A: No, I said, dude, I said, like, they're definitely telegraphing it's going to be Will. [00:56:13] Speaker B: Yeah, okay. I was just. Yeah. I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't hear today. It's so hot here. I'm sorry. I'm melting. That being said, like, all every one of these matches is going to make me hot and bothered. Whoever wins Swerve vs Bandido, we all win. Like. Yeah. I would love to see Mark Davis continue to unhinge his jaw hole and eat the, the young jungle man. Yeah, well, but I also don't think that's gonna happen. But yeah, all of this looks fun and good. [00:56:51] Speaker A: I think they're gonna give Will his win back over Davis. [00:56:54] Speaker B: No, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, I think they're gonna. [00:56:56] Speaker A: Oh, you said unhinge. [00:56:59] Speaker B: Okay, you got it. [00:57:01] Speaker A: I think you got it backwards. Unless you think Jack Perry is going to unhinge his doll, which he could because we get a Jack Perry promo next and he's got his knife. [00:57:09] Speaker B: Knifey. [00:57:10] Speaker A: It's okay. It's all right. It's okay. Jack Perry has a knife. [00:57:13] Speaker B: It's fine. [00:57:15] Speaker A: He lost the national title to Davis and he doesn't see him as a legitimate champion because he's built like an Australian grizzly bear. But he still needed a weapon and help to beat him. So anything goes in Stadium Stampede and he's going to prove he's a better wrestler and a future champion in the tournament. If you don't like that, you, you, you. [00:57:38] Speaker C: Great. Perfect. I love him. [00:57:40] Speaker B: It's really, it's really a fantastic gimmick. Little promo that. And I, I, I wish it that, like, someone could have just taken that earlier because it's so good. It could have been so, like. Can you imagine if, like, Stone Cold had been able to, like. I mean, he damn near like. I feel like that's like the last. That would have been like the last thing. It could be like, I'm stokes old Steve Austin and you hit the end. It was like, you can't do that, Steve. Well, well, what about. [00:58:17] Speaker A: The children are watching. We've gotta have time to talk about my balls. [00:58:26] Speaker B: Yeah. For the children. Yeah. Kids love poop and my balls. Yeah. All right. Yeah, but, yeah, no, like, I, I, I, I, I love that we live in a society where people are like, you know, they're just swear words. You can bleep them. You don't gotta get all, you don't gotta get all worked up about it. Is Jack Perry. He said the word. He said the word. [00:58:53] Speaker A: Said the word you say. All right, we have a fourth match. [00:58:59] Speaker B: Moving right along. Yeah. [00:59:00] Speaker A: Will Ospreay versus Ace Austin. Oh, this was a quick show too. Yes. Will Osprey versus Ace Austin. And we are going to see if the Death Riders training regimen has deposified Will's neck. [00:59:15] Speaker C: He. [00:59:15] Speaker B: Get out there and show me that neck. [00:59:18] Speaker C: Give, give, Will. [00:59:20] Speaker A: Give, give, give. [00:59:23] Speaker B: Open the door and shove it in. [00:59:27] Speaker A: No, Mox has turned into George C. Scott. George C. Scott. [00:59:34] Speaker C: George C. Scott. [00:59:35] Speaker A: Run your fingers through my chest hair. Will, [00:59:42] Speaker C: lay your head gently on Renee. [00:59:44] Speaker A: Does it all the time. [00:59:45] Speaker B: What if George C. Scott is just every Death Rider? I like this even better. Including Marina. Anyways, tangent. That's. We don't gotta go there right now. The neck. Is the neck better? We'll see. [01:00:01] Speaker A: Is the neck better? That is what we need to figure out. And they, you know, commentary points out he's wrestling Joe. Joe likes to attack the neck. So this is going to be a good test. They shake hands. And we all forgot Taz's lessons from last week. Don't shake hands with your opponent. You have to hate your opponent. [01:00:19] Speaker B: This ring of Honor. [01:00:21] Speaker A: Yep. That's just, that's just not your enemy. He's your enemy. You have to kill him. [01:00:28] Speaker C: You gotta get the money, get the bag. [01:00:31] Speaker A: And Ace Austin basically dominates most of the early going in this match. He's. He's like out counter wrestling Will Ospreay, which like commentary should be like, oh, my God. He's, he's like a counter wrestler because he always has a counter. But Ace Austin has him like scouted every turn. And then like a little, little bit of Death Death Rider comes out as he like gets advantage and he, he stomps on the elbow. [01:00:59] Speaker B: Yeah, he does the elbow. [01:01:00] Speaker A: Stop Y. And then that becomes the kind of focal point for the whole match. [01:01:08] Speaker B: Yep. [01:01:09] Speaker A: Because like he starts there and he picks on that arm every so often during the match. Whenever he gets on offense, he like does something to the arm. But Ace still has most of the control. He's targeting the neck and Will is [01:01:26] Speaker C: not selling it like he was previously before he was DQ'd due to the doctor with Mark Davis. He's not grabbing it. There's no tape on it. [01:01:38] Speaker A: Yep, he did. Yep. He, he, he sold it a little bit. But like he's, he's, he's showing like a little bit of nastiness on his strikes, but like the neck is still like, it's a little bit of a factor. Austin does. There's that squat Death Valley driver which is like, Jesus Christ. I love that movie so much. [01:02:01] Speaker C: Yes. [01:02:02] Speaker B: Oh, that's like one of the notes that I took is that like he, it's like he, it's like he showed up like in the back and he looked over at the Don Callis family and he saw the dump truck ass on Godzilla and he was just like, I want this for me. And, and like he's gonna get there. And like, the what? I don't know. I don't know. What? [01:02:29] Speaker A: The thighs. [01:02:32] Speaker C: Yeah, incredible thighs. [01:02:35] Speaker B: Oh, but like, what's the Bang Bang Gang gonna do? Like, they're not. They're gonna lose all their stealth ability because of the fact that like just the thick, thick, thick clap, clap, clapping of his ass. [01:02:47] Speaker C: You'd be able to hear him coming. [01:02:49] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:02:52] Speaker A: As Austin too dummy thick for you. [01:02:55] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [01:02:57] Speaker A: Oh, man, he does that run in and it's just like the bang, bang, bang. Yeah. It's like a symbol among a marching band coming down. [01:03:07] Speaker B: Like a sonic clapping boom. Yeah. [01:03:11] Speaker C: Austin also does the, the one handed handstand on the, on the apron too, which. [01:03:17] Speaker A: Yeah, he does this, he does his nice little escape gimmick. It's, it's really cool. He's very athletic. [01:03:22] Speaker B: Gets all of his, his pretty in. Yeah, I like him a lot. [01:03:25] Speaker A: They're, they're giving Taz because he's talking about the, the hair match stipulation. So they're just like, you know a barber, don't you, Taz? He's like, shut up. And then he comes back with, I know a Long island barber who does the bald gimmick. What? The [01:03:46] Speaker C: what the what the Indeed. [01:03:51] Speaker A: All right, so this is normal. Be normal old wrestlers. [01:03:55] Speaker B: Be normal Challenge impossible. [01:03:59] Speaker A: Unfortunately, like, I've done this for too much that, like, I just call everything a gimmick now. It's like, yeah, so do you have that gimmick? It's like the. You talking about Eric? You know the, the, the, the gimmick for the dinner. The fork. Yeah, yeah, you know the, that gimmick that Moxley sometimes has. Yeah, yeah. [01:04:21] Speaker B: The mox is stabbing gimmick. I got some Spaghett. You know, I need the stabby gimmick. Moxie's gimmick. [01:04:30] Speaker A: Right. So back from commercial because all that happened on commercial. Osprey gets his diving clothesline standing sky twister. And then he like goes back and he kicks the arm. Ace gets control right back and he, he. That's when he does his little acrobatic evasion thing and he gets that big dive on Osprey. Then he gets caught by, uh, that handspring kick. But like, they even were like, oh, my God, Osprey kicked him in the arm when he did that kick. [01:05:01] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:05:02] Speaker A: And then Oscar and then they announced the worst thing on the match. So on the show so far, they let us know there will be a three hour dinolision next week. [01:05:11] Speaker C: Yep. [01:05:13] Speaker A: Them. Ace catches his catches. Oh, God. What did he do? He did that, uh, like that leg capture thing with it. He captures Osprey's neck between his legs and then just like jumps up and slams it into the mat. [01:05:31] Speaker C: Is that the leaping clothesline or the double leg stomp? [01:05:35] Speaker A: Double leg stomp. Because he had it. He had his neck between his legs and stuff. And like he's just, just all over Will on this entire thing. So corner clothesline. Enzagiri T. Harris. The outside Styles Clash gets blocked and then Ace gets. [01:05:52] Speaker B: That was really cool. I feel like I don't see people like actually actively block the Styles Clash, which I feel like should be the easiest thing to just not do. Have done to you. You know what I mean? Like, like, just bring your arms in, [01:06:10] Speaker A: let you just get pile dried. [01:06:13] Speaker B: Okay. That's no longer an established finisher outside of a few people. You gotta play the game here. [01:06:21] Speaker C: So I, at that point I was like, that's super interesting. And started to notice that Will Ospreay's former moves no longer work. [01:06:32] Speaker B: Yes, because he went for the Watchman, the Windjammer or whatever. [01:06:36] Speaker C: The Stormbreaker. [01:06:37] Speaker B: Stormbreaker. [01:06:38] Speaker C: Stormbreaker. [01:06:39] Speaker B: Love you, Matthew. [01:06:42] Speaker C: He looks to go to the top rope with the no Styles clash. He gets out of the cheeky Nando's misses. He two hidden blades miss, I believe. [01:06:58] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, he ducked at least one. [01:07:02] Speaker C: Yeah, he gets. Yeah, actually get one. [01:07:05] Speaker A: Go ahead. Oh, no, no, no, no. You're. This is like. I. I have something for this at the end of it, but this is. It's great that you picked this up. [01:07:12] Speaker C: Yeah. Because I was, I was thinking about it and it was because I've seen him hit A hidden blade often. And then I watched it the second time, and then I started picking up these other stuff that just. It either was not super effective as previously it was. What? Or it just straight up misses. [01:07:31] Speaker A: Yeah, they get into that. He gets into that. You know, classic Moxley elbow exchange in the middle of the ring. [01:07:39] Speaker B: Yeah. At one point. I know earlier on in the match, too. He does. I think he does the thing where he just kind of grabs him and holds him down and repeatedly kicks him in the face. [01:07:48] Speaker A: Well, that's just. He did that before. That's. [01:07:51] Speaker B: He did that. He did do that before. Okay. [01:07:52] Speaker A: He always did that before. He lifted. [01:07:55] Speaker B: Okay, that's. [01:07:56] Speaker A: That's, like, not lifted. That's just like the classic Toshiaki Kawada. [01:08:00] Speaker B: Okay. All right. I think I'm getting confused. Oh, you know. Oh, I'm thinking of the hammer and ambient bill elbows is a Blackpool thing. Never mind. Never mind. Had a long week. Never mind. Among your business drive. [01:08:12] Speaker A: We've all had a long week. All right, so he goes for Ace, wants to fold his, like, big neck breaker gimmick. It's blocked. Hidden blade. He gets a second hidden blade. Ace drops. He's, like, on his arms and like, he, like. You think he's gonna go for, like a big. The big, like, you know, take the elbow pad off. Hidden blade. But he kicks. He kicks him in the arm. And this is the arm he's been working on the whole match. [01:08:41] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:08:42] Speaker A: And locks in the flipping juji. Got the mate. [01:08:44] Speaker B: Oh, it was so good. It was a really good. I'm gonna say juju Katami because I love Taz, but. Yeah, like, God damn. Thank you for saying it correctly, though. [01:08:59] Speaker C: Now I know how I am making noises at this point. And. And then I. Then I go quiet. And then. Because it gets better for me. [01:09:13] Speaker B: Well, I loved it because it was literally. He literally did, like, a flying grappling move. Like. Like, he. So, like, he literally did the thing and, like, Moxley is just. He's the Ace. God damn it. Like. Like Vince McMahon really that up for, like, a long time. Yeah. Yeah. He really. [01:09:38] Speaker A: He had no idea what he had. [01:09:40] Speaker B: He had no idea. The mind he had. Yeah. [01:09:44] Speaker C: Fumbling must be. [01:09:46] Speaker B: No, there's the lunatic friends. Look at him. [01:09:51] Speaker A: Gonna give you some mustard and ketchup, pal. [01:10:01] Speaker B: Yeah. Over a cactus. Yeah, yeah. Jericho. Over a cactus in a. An insane asylum match. Like. No, it was. Oh, no. That would have made it so much better. They try. Oh, man. That's a separate podcast, but there's a. He tried to do a thing with mankind once and then he it up real bad again, Folks. [01:10:30] Speaker A: Re. [01:10:31] Speaker B: Read Moxley's book. It's great. Read Mox. It's a great read. Or get the audiobook and he'll read it to you and, and you can just like close your eyes and pretend that he's like holding you. It's really nice. Anyways. Drive, drive, drive. [01:10:46] Speaker A: This match was cool. I enjoyed it a lot. My only complaint, it's not really even a complaint, it's an observation, is I don't think Osprey should have gone 15 minutes, mostly taking offense from Ace Austin. I think he should have just like beat him faster. I did. [01:11:05] Speaker B: Whatever. That's not a complaint to me. Because we got to see Ace Austin do cool things. [01:11:09] Speaker A: I know, but like, Ace Austin is like down here. [01:11:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:11:15] Speaker A: Well, Osprey is probably challenging for the title. [01:11:18] Speaker B: Okay. [01:11:18] Speaker A: But what WrestleMania. [01:11:20] Speaker B: What if will Ospreay was like, what if we get you up here, bro? [01:11:25] Speaker A: Well, that, that's fair. It's going to be all in the follow through because, like, that's kind of how Fletcher got up there. [01:11:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:11:34] Speaker A: Was Will was like, yes, I will sell for you. [01:11:38] Speaker B: Which he did. [01:11:39] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:11:39] Speaker A: That also then turned into Fletcher versus Osprey, which went on for like two years. And I don't know if we're necessarily going to get Ace Austin vs Will Ospreay as like a long running blood feud. [01:11:51] Speaker B: Yeah. And I don't think they have the history that him and Fletcher had either. [01:11:55] Speaker A: But I mean, like, I think part [01:11:57] Speaker C: of the Bang Bang Gang too. So this is his first singles match I've seen. [01:12:03] Speaker B: No, he was had. He's had when he first showed up that he had. [01:12:06] Speaker C: Okay. [01:12:07] Speaker A: He wrestled knocks on Dynamite months ago at this point. [01:12:12] Speaker C: Okay. [01:12:13] Speaker A: But yeah, it's. I don't know, I'm like of two minds on it, but like, it was a very good match. I kind of liked the idea of like, just like to video game phrase it. It felt like Osprey changed his loadout and you're just playing with all the toys that he's got now. [01:12:32] Speaker B: Yeah, absolutely. [01:12:34] Speaker A: That's a good way to figure out like, how do the controls work anymore? [01:12:38] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:12:39] Speaker B: Stumbling when he's trying to do his old move set. That's not there anymore. Yeah. [01:12:43] Speaker C: I love that he is. I love the story beat of it, how the Death Rider and I like it gets better because Death Riders clearly have impacted his wrestling. [01:12:58] Speaker B: I gotta tell you, whatever they're doing in that bath is, is really, it's really working. [01:13:05] Speaker A: And I Anal sex is the greatest training aid. That's what was, like in all those Dragon Ball Z episodes. That's what was going on. [01:13:14] Speaker B: We're going. Yeah, we're gonna go in the hyperbolic chamber, and there's a bunch of gravity, and we blow each other. It's. [01:13:19] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. Oh, sorry. There's, you know, there's gravity. I can't be there. It's. It's. [01:13:24] Speaker B: There's. [01:13:25] Speaker A: There's gravity, you know. Hi. [01:13:27] Speaker B: Yeah. No, why. Yeah, honey, why. Why are you taking, like, that gallon? [01:13:31] Speaker A: Gravity. There's gravity, honey. [01:13:33] Speaker B: Okay, but that's a gallon. That's a gallon. [01:13:35] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. There's so much gravity. [01:13:37] Speaker B: That's a gallon of sliquid. What are you doing with the gallon of sliquid? [01:13:41] Speaker A: Okay. Over the gravity. [01:13:45] Speaker B: Over the gravity. [01:13:50] Speaker A: Oh, God. Oh, yeah. So the. The doctor comes out to be like, hey, Will, how's your neck? And he lets them know it's okay. My neck is not a. I'm no longer a neck. [01:14:04] Speaker B: Oh, my God. [01:14:06] Speaker A: All right, now, Samoa Joe and the Ops arrived with. [01:14:10] Speaker C: I said, what is this? Count Chocula? Intro music Organ hit I've. [01:14:17] Speaker B: It's the Ops music, if you don't remember. The Ops music, I think it's been. [01:14:23] Speaker C: Yeah, it's literally been promos for. [01:14:27] Speaker B: Right. [01:14:28] Speaker A: And Hook came out to tell the girls. [01:14:30] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:14:32] Speaker A: Last time we saw him. So, like. [01:14:35] Speaker C: Like, oh, it's the Ops. It's like, oh, okay. [01:14:40] Speaker A: So, yeah, the crowd. Joe. Joe starts doing, like, the Osprey chant, but just, like, kind of screaming at him, which gets the crowd going and doing it. And he says he. Guess Will's had a hard time hearing him, the cat last couple of weeks because he wanted him in the ops, and he ignored him. And he would have helped him, but he went to go be John Moxie's lap dog. And now, double or nothing, he's going to make him suffer the consequences. So be well, Will. But unfortunately, my friends feel slated, and I don't put leashes on my friends. So Shibata and Anthony Bones are gonna fight him and accuse the Death Riders music, who they just kind of surround the ring and they have his back. I'm losing my. [01:15:22] Speaker C: My. My spouse walks in, and it's like. I'm just like, yes, rest. Like, don't look at me, don't look at me. Just the weirdest little goblin. Just a full Sicko mode. [01:15:40] Speaker A: Full. [01:15:41] Speaker B: Yeah, just don't look. [01:15:44] Speaker C: Don't look at me. [01:15:46] Speaker A: Don't look at me. I'm wrestling. Yeah. [01:15:50] Speaker C: Just screaming, [01:15:53] Speaker A: oh, God. Bowens has one of my favorite lines of the night where he's just like, joe's gonna kill you at some point. Osprey. I'm just like, wow, you're better at this than Hook is, like, automatically, like, you haven't even had a match with the oxygen, and you are better than Hook at this. [01:16:11] Speaker B: So good. [01:16:13] Speaker A: So good. [01:16:13] Speaker B: And also, Anthony Bowens looks so good. Yeah, he just. Just being there, like, he just looks real good, like. And, like, I'm very happy for him. And Hook should go away. [01:16:27] Speaker C: He's not there. [01:16:29] Speaker B: Yeah, he went there. Yeah, they're fine without him. [01:16:31] Speaker A: He has gone away. Yeah. Yeah, I am. I like how one of the main criticisms everybody throws at AW is like, oh, they don't tell stories. They don't tell stories. But, like, they always do something that's, like, this complex. Like, how is the guy who's going to get to all in Going to get to all in mental head game storyline. Like, they did it last year with Hangman doing, like, his slow face turn again and, like, getting it. Having a redemption arc. And now they're doing, like, Osprey's like, you know, I can't. My neck is. Until I have trained with the man who broke my neck, and now it's not anymore. [01:17:10] Speaker C: I truly wonder what Will feels about Mox. Like, I. I don't know, because it's actually quite a few wrestlers and, like, because he did he. No, he. Kyle. Kyle. He took out, and Kyle's gone in for him. [01:17:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:17:31] Speaker A: No, wait. Who. Who did. How did Kyle get hurt? I'm trying to remember how he got hurt. [01:17:37] Speaker C: I don't. [01:17:37] Speaker A: I didn't see it. [01:17:39] Speaker C: But that's what he. Because that's what he says on the promo later. [01:17:45] Speaker A: But, yeah, it's. It's like, this is maybe not the best storyline, but, like, it's a storyline and it's intriguing, and I'm, like, very curious to see where it goes. [01:17:54] Speaker B: I'll take it. [01:17:55] Speaker A: I'll take it to the back. Renee is with my husband and Don Callis, and he assures us that Takeshita will be headed into double or nothing as champion. And MJF shows up and says, hey, I want to face him at double or nothing. And he doesn't want to face Darby with his hair on the line. He, like, gives him, like, like, a little fake pep talk, and then he's gone. He's like, no, Don, seriously, I don't want to fight doggy with my hair on the line. [01:18:27] Speaker C: This kid needs to win this. [01:18:29] Speaker A: He needs to win. Gives down the dynamite diamond ring and says, you know what to do. And then Andrade shows up and just takes his hat off and just like tosses back a couple times. [01:18:45] Speaker B: So good. So pretty. [01:18:48] Speaker A: Mjs just. Just like. And then Don just like, shut up. It doesn't matter. Takeshita will bring the title back. And then. Hey, Don. How you know? [01:18:56] Speaker C: How you know? [01:18:57] Speaker B: How you know? Yeah, how you know, though? [01:19:00] Speaker A: Next time it will be Andrade's turn to get a title shot. [01:19:04] Speaker C: Small note. MJF takes the ring out, hands it to mjf, pulls out another ring and puts it on immediately. [01:19:15] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, because he's got like a million of them. [01:19:17] Speaker B: Yeah, he's got like three at least. [01:19:19] Speaker A: No, he's got five. Five, Five. He won that tournament five times. So yeah, he's got. He's. [01:19:27] Speaker B: Oh my God. [01:19:29] Speaker A: It's good. [01:19:31] Speaker C: I mean, you could honestly, he should just get like a replicas made. Like a replica and just always. [01:19:38] Speaker B: He just, always has one ready. That's pretty great. That's a pretty. That's pretty. I don't know. That's fantastic. Long term storytelling, in my opinion, is that he just always has a diamond ring at the ready, but he doesn't wear them all. He'll only wear the one at a time because otherwise it'd be gauche. [01:19:57] Speaker A: He's got to have. [01:19:58] Speaker B: But he has a backup at all times. Yeah, yeah. [01:20:01] Speaker C: Next time, my turn. You'll say, you'll say, well, callous. Keep his family together. You'll say, yes. [01:20:08] Speaker A: Yes. So we are. They announced the women's brackets for the women's Owen tournament. And these are, I think, a little bit more intriguing. So on the west side we've got Persephone versus Hazuki from stardom. [01:20:30] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:20:30] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [01:20:31] Speaker A: I'm not really super familiar with Hazuki because I'm not super that familiar with stardom all that much. And then Willow Nightingale versus Alex Windsor. [01:20:41] Speaker C: Okay, [01:20:43] Speaker A: we've got Mina Shirakawa versus Athena. And then sky blue. And this is, this is the one that everybody just like. Oh, sorry. [01:20:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:20:55] Speaker A: So Siri is kind of God, I don't even know how to describe her because I've seen her a lot more. She was in the first fed for a hot minute where they gave her a magical girl gimmick that everybody was like, that's really, really, really racist. [01:21:14] Speaker B: And she's like, I remember that. [01:21:15] Speaker A: Yeah, she's like probably one of the stiffest women in Japan. [01:21:22] Speaker C: Wow. [01:21:23] Speaker A: Like, she just like the, the, the comment that made me laugh the hardest was like, oh, no. They're feeding Sky Blue into the wood chipper and then they post and picture of S. So that's gonna be interesting. I'm pretty sure sky is gonna be like, can you please just drop me on my head? [01:21:47] Speaker B: So that'll just take me out. [01:21:49] Speaker A: Yeah, that'll be interesting. The re is technically a freelancer, but like she's been working with stardom and like a whole bunch of other companies the last year or so. So we'll see how she does. I know we're not gonna get see Persephone or Surrey until probably next month because they are both injured. [01:22:14] Speaker C: Oh, that's awesome. [01:22:15] Speaker B: That's unfortunate. But we have that to look forward to, which is nice. [01:22:19] Speaker A: I am very much in the tournament. All right, all right, all right. Let's go. Renee is with the Conglomeration. [01:22:29] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:22:30] Speaker B: Yes. [01:22:32] Speaker A: And it's. It's four members. It's the four member Conglomeration at this point. [01:22:36] Speaker B: Willows skirt. Willow Skirt in her pink backpack. [01:22:42] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:22:43] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:22:44] Speaker A: Apparently Orange personally gave her that backpack. Oh my. They are. They have a tag title shot courtesy of Orange's win last week over Dax. They have not decided what combination will go after it yet. Kyle O'Reilly wants a shot at Moxley because he last two times he fought Moxley, he submitted him. Willis still wants to take on all comers. And then like they say, like. I feel like we should do a word of the day. We haven't done a word today in a while. [01:23:20] Speaker B: Well, yeah. Why not? [01:23:21] Speaker A: Well, because Mark Briscoe's not here. Damn boys is back. I actually even missed the word of the day because it was so exciting to see him. [01:23:34] Speaker C: Reunification. [01:23:35] Speaker B: Reunification, baby. Way back we conglomerate and he's coming for Tommy Chomper's ass. [01:23:43] Speaker A: Coming for. For ass. And maybe they will have a great match this time. [01:23:48] Speaker B: I am going to for like. Pretend you didn't say that. [01:23:52] Speaker A: I didn't say it was a bad match. I said they'll have a great match. [01:23:55] Speaker B: Maybe this time. As opposed to. Okay, well, you can go yourself. I'm gonna go get a snack. I'll be right. Yeah. [01:24:05] Speaker A: Anyway, this ruled. I'm happy to see the Conglomeration back. [01:24:09] Speaker C: Yes. [01:24:09] Speaker A: Strength. [01:24:10] Speaker C: Yes. [01:24:11] Speaker A: We're just missing Big Tom. [01:24:13] Speaker C: Maybe. Maybe at. Where's Big Tom? [01:24:17] Speaker A: I think he's hurt, actually. [01:24:19] Speaker B: Oh. [01:24:22] Speaker A: Next match, Triangle of Madness Trios. Women's Trios. Triangle of Madness versus the Brawling Birds and Hikaru Shida. [01:24:29] Speaker C: You mentioned in the in Discord how you were concerned about the women's match placement. And I was like, oh, okay. And I watched it the second time and I was like, they are quiet, the crowd. And I was like, that sucks. I was like, well, you know, maybe the match starts on the floor, like super intensely. I'm like, well, you know, maybe that played a factor. But no, they get back on the mat and they're just like, damn, fuck these people. [01:24:58] Speaker A: Yeah, they. They kind of pop for like the 10 punches that they did. And then Sky Blue almost falls off the barricade when like, she tries to do like a little showdown with Alex Windsor and they're just like, oh, my God. And I think the fans kind of made sure she didn't like, fall on her head. [01:25:16] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:25:18] Speaker A: And then Tecla hits a big dive on everybody. [01:25:21] Speaker C: That's great. [01:25:21] Speaker A: Which is cool. And like, that kind of popped the crowd. But yeah, they were this like, all right, to just like repeat what I said in the discord. Yeah, they. They've kind of gotten into the pattern of like, the women's match is going to be the second to last match on the show. So now it's scheduled for this point in the show and it's the Cooldown match before the main event. [01:25:44] Speaker C: No. [01:25:45] Speaker A: And that's like, no matter what they do in the match, it always seems like they are starting from a position of, oh, we are like, like, like, oh, they have to like, do a lot to win the crowd over. [01:25:57] Speaker B: Yeah, it's kind of like, well, that's like old school wrestling misogyny too. Because like they've. They used to always be the women were the popcorn match. That's when everyone goes and refills their. And stuff before the stuff they care about. Yeah. And yeah, it's. And they should go themselves about it. [01:26:14] Speaker A: I am not going to say that is exactly what they are doing, but I'm going to say that it feels like that's what has happened. [01:26:20] Speaker B: Sure. [01:26:21] Speaker A: And if you're only going to get one women's match, a show, and it's always seemingly going to be at this point in the show, then might be doing some falling into some bad habits there. That should be changed. Not much really happens during the commercial, but I just love the triangle of bandits because they're like clearly having fun being heels. [01:26:46] Speaker C: Oh, God, yes. [01:26:48] Speaker B: They're having a great time and they're really good at it. [01:26:50] Speaker A: Like a lot of people, like, they have. [01:26:52] Speaker B: I've heard people on them and I'm like, you're wrong. They're very good. [01:26:56] Speaker A: They have really good chemistry. [01:26:59] Speaker C: Oh, I. Yeah. [01:26:59] Speaker A: Sky Blue has like, so Much confidence right now, too. [01:27:03] Speaker B: She's great. They gave her the. That they gave her the cage match, the blood and guts, and she's just been ever since then. She's like, you can't tell me any goddamn thing. Like, I am the best ever to ever do it. Go yourselves. Like, yes. [01:27:24] Speaker A: There's a bit where Paul Turner says, hey, watch. Watch the. Watch the hair. And then Tony's just like, hey, do you think it was coincidence that he said, watch your hair while there's a picture of MJF on the screen? And I'm just like, I'm not having it. Yes, it was coincidence. Nobody cares. [01:27:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:27:46] Speaker C: Cobra's like, no, Tone. Good catch, because he's a menace. [01:27:53] Speaker A: It is. They do this really nice spot where Julian Tecla both get, like, chokes in the ropes, and then sky does the running drop kick on both of the birds. [01:28:04] Speaker C: Yes. Oh, God, that was so sick. [01:28:07] Speaker A: I make the tag to Sheeta, and she comes in, gets some pretty solid offense in on Julia and Tecla. And then she lays out Techlon Brett's rope, suplexes, Suplexes Julian to Tecla. And that was cool. Yeah, I guess that's going to be, like, a normal thing. Top of the crowd, not really being into it. I don't think they know who they're supposed to cheer, because she is definitely a heel. [01:28:37] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:28:39] Speaker A: Triangle of Madness are cool. [01:28:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:28:43] Speaker A: But the. And the Brawling Birds are cool. [01:28:46] Speaker B: He's. [01:28:46] Speaker A: He's. [01:28:47] Speaker B: I feel like it. It's. There's this bit. It feels kind of like. What's the word I'm looking for? Like, booked into a corner sorta, you know, like, it just. Yeah. Like you said, you kind of don't know what to do with it. Like, any of it. [01:29:03] Speaker A: Yeah. It just feels like this was put together, like. And I know that there's the double or nothing. The Women's World Championship is on the line in a fatal four way with, like, Tecla Statlander, Sheeta, and. Who is the fourth? Oh, Hater. Jimmy Hater. So, like, this is kind of that feud all together all at once. But it's also, like, heatless. There's like, I don't. I don't care. Like, Tecla's gonna retain. Tecla should retain. [01:29:33] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, they did go after Hater really hard. [01:29:38] Speaker A: Yes. [01:29:39] Speaker C: Which I'm assuming. I'm assuming it's like, well, they. There's past beef, of course. And then. Well, mayhaps she is the strongest competitor and, like, to. Or the competitor now to take her out before the fatal four way. [01:29:55] Speaker A: Yeah, she's. What is it called? She's, she's probably Tekla's biggest rival right now. [01:30:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:30:02] Speaker A: So. But yeah, it's, it's just there's, it's weird. [01:30:06] Speaker B: One thing I want to add because I, it's part of why I feel so ug about the whole thing. I was promised a Toni Storm murder mystery. [01:30:16] Speaker C: Oh, also. Yeah. [01:30:17] Speaker A: Yes. [01:30:19] Speaker B: Like what? Yeah, like where, where'd that go? All of a sudden we're doing this, this sheet of talk show in Japanese as though 75% of the roster didn't work. Like several tours over there. Like, come on now. Like, this is when Harley started speaking Japanese back there. I was like, yeah, yeah, because of course you can hardly. This is Harley Cameron. What doesn't she do? You know? Like, come on, you should have known better. Better. Oh, so wild. But yeah, I want, I want Tony Mystery. Why? [01:30:57] Speaker A: Yeah, I wanted that. I, I thought that was going to be a thing and it hasn't been a thing and it's like kind of periphery and I. If they can't talk about it for whatever reason, then they shouldn't have done it. [01:31:08] Speaker C: Yeah, [01:31:11] Speaker B: yeah, you shouldn't have set it up. Anyways, so, yeah, [01:31:16] Speaker A: the birds all get involved and they go for two birds, one stone. It gets blocked by Julia. Yeah, Shido come. Shido runs in, gets a big strike and it just like kind of all breaks down. Everybody hits a finish, sky blind, tags herself in, kicks Windsor in the head, goes for code blue, but it's blocked. I love that. Like she keeps trying it and people keep countering it so that like we don't just see like her mess up the move, but she keeps trying it anyway. [01:31:43] Speaker B: I like her cold blue. [01:31:45] Speaker A: I like it too when she hits it. She never hits it. She was always screwing it up. I'm sorry. Like she's better off without it. She's a better kick ass wrestler. Like an acrobatic flip thing that never works. [01:32:00] Speaker B: Maybe I, maybe I just wish Sky Blue would like bounce up and down on my back. Maybe that's why, like that might fix me, like, you know, my lumbar, my sciatica. So every time I see it I'm just like, yes, that right here. Knock my out. My hip clicks. It's not good. [01:32:19] Speaker A: Okay, so it's going bad for the triangle. Jamie comes back in. They're gonna try two birds, one stone again, but Tecla just grabs the belt. Blatant disqualification in front of the ref. [01:32:31] Speaker B: Yeah, I kind of loved it. I kind of like that because, like, [01:32:34] Speaker A: nah, this, she really was just like, ah, this. We're done. So, yeah, winners are Sheeda and the Burling Birds by dq and Triangle of Madness. Just, like, sets about kicking the out of everybody, which was cool. Like, I, I like that. Like, if I, I, I appreciate, like, if the, the heels are just like, all right, this is dumb. Let's just do violence. Just do violence. Go for it. [01:33:01] Speaker C: Because I didn't understand the point of the dq, like, because as soon as she hits up, she hits her Blue was in. Had a, like, a Dragon sleeper hold on Windsor, like, the entire time. So I didn't necessarily understand why they decided to go for a dq, except to just deliver hate on to Amy Hater. [01:33:25] Speaker A: Like, fuck it, we're not winning. This is dumb. We're done. Like, sometimes it's fine for heels to do that. I'm good with it. Julia. Ms. Julia Hart, Ms. Seraph. And that was cool. She did just bail. She's just like, nope, I'm not doing this. This is not my business. [01:33:47] Speaker B: No, I was fine with it because, like, Tecla 2 to me is absolutely the kind of heel that's like, oh, yeah, basically, yeah, gonna be like, I would rather lose by DQ and hurt you than let you beat me clean for my ego's sake. You know what I mean? Yeah, like, yeah, that. That tracks so hard. [01:34:06] Speaker A: Thunder, Rosa, Mina and Willow come out to make the save notice. Send the faces noticeable by her absence was Chris Statlander. [01:34:15] Speaker C: Yeah, well, she's not been cleared. Or she wasn't cleared. [01:34:19] Speaker A: She wasn't cleared. [01:34:22] Speaker C: Yeah, it's mine. Yeah, I think they match mention it at the end, like it's a minor injury that she should be back for double or nothing. [01:34:30] Speaker A: I see. [01:34:31] Speaker B: That's good. [01:34:32] Speaker A: Yeah, that's good. Rouge video package. [01:34:38] Speaker B: There's just some Herns. I'm like, okay. Yeah, I mean, I like the Hearns, even. I'm just like, okay, let's do some. [01:34:48] Speaker C: He's not even voicing the video package. It's somebody else. And I have to imagine that was a deliberate choice. [01:35:00] Speaker A: I. I'm. Roos's dropping his douchebagger aside. Re is a very good wrestler. I like how he wrestles. I like that he kicks people in the face as hard as possible. [01:35:12] Speaker B: I do. I like when he say heard. [01:35:14] Speaker A: Cannot for the life of him. I don't know if he gets hurt or what, but he comes out, he does a bunch of good matches, and then he loses one match and that's it. And, like, I do something with the guy or cut me. I don't give a. Let him go back to the Fed or. Listen, he was ever in the Fed. [01:35:31] Speaker B: He was ever in the Fed. [01:35:32] Speaker A: I don't care. [01:35:32] Speaker B: No, you're. You're correct. Like, he. He. It's just a whole lot of building to nothing every single time. That's unfortunate because he's got a real cool mask. Like, you know, I mean, like, everything outside the douchebaggery. I should love everything about this guy [01:35:51] Speaker C: in his feet. That's. [01:35:53] Speaker B: He has feet hurs. [01:35:55] Speaker A: I liked him. I liked him when he was Ring of Honor World champion, like, years and years ago at this point. Wow. But, like, come on. I would. I would like to see something happen. Anyway, something did happen. Aw. Men's World Championship Match things versus Darby Allen. Well, you'll never believe this, but my husband won, and that's all that happened. [01:36:20] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:36:21] Speaker B: Fascinating. Have a good night, folks. Happy wrestling, folks. [01:36:25] Speaker C: Thanks for joining us. [01:36:32] Speaker A: If you can see the dancing that I'm watching, folks, it was very in sync. Well done. [01:36:39] Speaker C: Shockingly, is. I guess. I mean, my hope is that Darby Allen broke something internally. He probably did his cheek, but he [01:36:53] Speaker A: really likes to do it. Like, I'm coughing a blood thing, but he's not actually coughing up blood. Yes. [01:37:01] Speaker B: Well, immediately I was just like, okay, what big. What big spot is. Is to. Caster gonna do to. To. To get this man over? Because, like, that's. [01:37:11] Speaker A: I mean, he did everything to him. [01:37:13] Speaker B: He did everything because. [01:37:15] Speaker A: All right, they had a match. God. Whenever Takeshita turned heel, I guess it was like two and a half years ago now, they had a match and Takeshita won. And it wasn't great because he won, but it was awesome. And it was kind of exactly how that match should have gone, because Takeshita was, like, ascendant, and he's big. Yeah. And he's a Japanese heavyweight wrestler who wrestles, like, this extremely strong style thing. And he. Darby up. Like, he did that Chaos Theory German suplex on the ape on the entrance ramp and just, like, dumped them on his head. [01:37:54] Speaker C: Wow. [01:37:55] Speaker A: It was great. I loved it. They are doing. If Darby doesn't lose at double or nothing. I have no idea what the point of all this is because, like, they, like, they're literally just being like. Like, he's defended the title five times in three weeks. He's wrestled almost, like 10 out, like an hour and 10 minutes defending the title. Yeah, he's up. When he comes to the ring, he's, like, immediately Spitting blood as soon as Takeshita touches him. [01:38:27] Speaker B: It's like, what if we. What? Hey, remember when we did that? Like, absolutely amazing genius longer term storytelling with O.C. seas International title run, where he just came out every week and. And went like, what was it, like 230 or something like that? Yeah. On one of my favorite title runs of all time. And it's like, okay, all right, well, we got Kirkwood. So, like, what, like, you know, so like, what if we. [01:38:56] Speaker C: Our own hot dogs now? [01:38:58] Speaker B: Yeah, what if we do. Yeah, what if we do the Costco? Yeah, Kirkland's. Yeah, that's why I meant Kirkland, not Kirkwood. Yeah, that's Kirkland. Yeah. So, like, what if we do the tier. Timu Goldberg version. Yeah, what? Yeah, what if we do the Teemu version of that title run and we just be like, oh, he, he valiantly. He valiantly hurt himself to defend this title because he has no other talent other than falling on his goddamned head. And I mean, he fell on his head real nice in this one. That was. [01:39:32] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:39:34] Speaker B: There was a German suplex from the top. [01:39:37] Speaker C: Oh, God. Yeah. [01:39:38] Speaker B: And you're supposed to, like, release those. [01:39:41] Speaker C: Nope. [01:39:42] Speaker B: When you do do those, and even then it's a bad idea. And this. And text is like, no, what if we bridged it instead? And I was like, oh, [01:39:53] Speaker A: and do that. Because he's probably got the best Germans going in the company is fucking crow. He's like, I couldn't believe he did that. Like, when he, like. I knew. I knew Darby was going to take that German on his head. Because the logical way when you take an avalanche German is you basically flip over and you do a moonsault. You land on your stomach. I knew Darby was going to land on his head because it's Darby. I did not expect Takesha to hold on. [01:40:24] Speaker B: To hold on in the perfect, like, Fibonacci spiral arc of that germ. It was the grossest goddamn thing I might have. I think I might have ever seen in a wrestling ring. And I still wasn't entertained because it's like. Because I knew that it's like, okay, cool, that's the high spot. Now it's just so. It's like he's gonna roll around a lot. [01:40:47] Speaker A: The, the, the, the entire thing about that makes it especially insane is, like, people point out, like, when you do that German from the top, like, you can kind of control how you fall. And when you're being held, your opponent controls how you fall. When you're coming down off the top, you have no Control over what happens. Like that. Like if, if he got hurt, that would have been Takesh's fault technically. [01:41:09] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:41:10] Speaker B: But like, what the, what even the. [01:41:13] Speaker A: Like. Yeah, there's no. Like, I mean, it was cool as. [01:41:16] Speaker B: Yeah, it was cool, but don't. [01:41:20] Speaker C: It kind of goes back, Ella, to what you mentioned previously, where it's like, it's not only that the mid masochist is taking these bumps, it's that there are other wrestlers that are put then putting themselves in danger too. [01:41:33] Speaker B: But like, that's whatever you spots, you know. [01:41:37] Speaker C: Oh, and like Erica said, they're adults. [01:41:39] Speaker B: But I agree, and I agree with Erica. Like, I said that in the chat with. I was just like kind of super pissy. And like when I like look back at. I was like, you know, and, and we, we, we nailed it down. It's not, it's not the, the dangerousness. It's. It's taking what is supposed to be this riskful. What, it's doing what Mick Foley did without any of the love and respect for the art that Mick had. It's, it's giving it your all when it matters the least to the nth degree, to the point where it's not even respectable anymore. It's just stupid. Does that make sense? And, and, and it's also what Erica said to where it's, it's, it's. It's more just noticing the pattern that like, it's not the safety thing. It's just that this is his only match. And you're noticing like, because they're doing this. [01:42:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:42:35] Speaker B: Having him go, go, go, go, go. You're noticing that it's his only match. Like this is to do this thing. It's all he's got. [01:42:42] Speaker A: This was a bunch of non stop spectacular things. [01:42:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:42:48] Speaker A: Dives that are not dives, but like bumps that were like, you know, horrifying but cool as hell. Like Takeshita did a Blue Thunder bomb. [01:42:59] Speaker C: To darkness. [01:43:00] Speaker B: To the. Oh my God. [01:43:03] Speaker A: Now usually when he does it to the, the floor, there's a table, there's something that's going to like catch him. He just dumps Darby straight to the floor. [01:43:12] Speaker B: Just gross. And I'm pretty sure he landed on his feet because he's like, I'm not sitting out on that. I'm not. Dumbass. Dumbass. Like you like. [01:43:20] Speaker A: Yeah, he did it to El Fantasmo last year at something or other. And like, he did it, he did it with the table. Like he, he went through the table with him. This was just like, no, go yourself because why would you do that? [01:43:38] Speaker C: Part of it also is that there's no mystery. Like, there's not a back and forth because you just know that they're gonna lose. [01:43:46] Speaker A: Yeah, well, that's. Yeah, that's always the thing. [01:43:51] Speaker B: That's the thing that makes me upset is because they, they took this magical part of, of wrestling and like, like, yeah, it is cool when guys are willing to, like, take that big risk, you know, and all that, but like, it, it's, it becomes less cool when it's like when he's doing it two shows a week, you know what I mean? And, and, and there's no and it's not. There's no substance when he's doing it. It's just he's doing it to do it. You know, it's one thing when you've, you've built up over like a couple months to a pay per view where, like, the blood feud is so hard that, like, you can understand why Undertaker be like, you know what? I'm just gonna kill him. And just throws them off the goddamn cage. Yeah, you can under. You like it. That bump made sense. It was crazy. But it like, they may. They made. Made sense at the time that you can understand why this guy be like, no, I'm just gonna kill him. All this is just, they're just, you know, they're just doing it because Darby is like, can you just do this to me so that the people like me good and forget that I'm a piece of. Please love me, love me good. I don't want to go to therapy. Love me good, love me good. [01:45:10] Speaker A: Thing is, I don't think they really need to do much to make people [01:45:12] Speaker B: forget, because I know they don't know [01:45:15] Speaker A: I'm giving, I'm giving that just like him. [01:45:17] Speaker B: And I know I'm giving too much [01:45:19] Speaker A: credit to some people. [01:45:20] Speaker B: I'm giving people way too much credit. I gotta stop. I know, but, like, I don't want to. I don't want to believe that everyone sucks ass. [01:45:28] Speaker A: And like, my thing at the end of the day right now is that it's like a combination of what Hampter said about how, like, they're doing this every week and there's actually not really any intrigue. Darby's going to win because. Yeah, like, especially now that, like you've said, like, there's a hair match, that's the money match. It's not takesh. Diverse is MJF at double or nothing. It's Darby versus MJF in a hair match at double or nothing dumb. So, like, there's, like, the, the last. He's done six defenses. Not a single one of them did. I think Darby is going to lose this title. [01:46:07] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:46:07] Speaker A: Yeah. They've done nothing to make me believe that anybody has a shot, no matter who he's up against. Against. But then at the same time, they want you to believe that he's getting progressively more and more and more and more up. And you're gonna tell me that the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion who went, like, 35 minutes in the Tokyo Dome and still lost, but still went 35 minutes in the Tokyo Dome Grand Prix champ. [01:46:37] Speaker B: Right? [01:46:38] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:46:38] Speaker B: Or G1. [01:46:40] Speaker A: G1 could not. Was. [01:46:43] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:46:44] Speaker A: Literally obliterating this person who bounced off of him attempting a tope suicide in the opening minutes of the match. [01:46:50] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:46:51] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:46:51] Speaker B: That was so pretty. [01:46:53] Speaker A: Like, it's, it's just like. I don't think Takesh is hurt by losing this match. He's not hurt, but it's. I think it's. It's draining my ability to buy into anything that Darby does. [01:47:08] Speaker B: It's insulting. It's like, it's, it's just. It's. It's insulting not to Takeshita, but to us. Yeah. And, like, I'm. And I'm sitting here going, like, people are chanting for this dude's name, and I'm just like, you know, like, this is, like, this is slop. This is the equivalent of slop. Like, I thought we. I thought y' all better than this. I think. Apparently not. [01:47:35] Speaker A: I don't know. [01:47:35] Speaker C: Like, so even. I don't. Not to go too far ahead, but, like, even in the contract signing, all he really says to, to MJF's allegations, like, I live for the here and now. Like, he's. I don't. It's like cotton candy. There's nothing. [01:47:53] Speaker A: I mean, like, it might just be because I am no longer a edgy teenage boy. [01:48:00] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:48:01] Speaker A: But, like, it does nothing for me. [01:48:05] Speaker B: Like, it really doesn't. [01:48:07] Speaker A: I. Like, I, I, I. I enjoyed many of his matches up to a point. And then even before, like, we really started really harping on, you know, the fact that he's a piece of. Is like, I'm. I'm tired of this. Like, I'm. Yeah, he does. Like, I'm done with it. Like. [01:48:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [01:48:26] Speaker A: There's, like, he's gotta. He, he's gotta do something. And he's never. He has not done anything. I've never seen. I have not seen him evolve. His character, his wrestling game. I'm. I'm done with it. Like, I. I don't care. [01:48:43] Speaker C: He says, like, he's either gonna do it his way or no way. And I was like, is that because, like, you're like, does that mean you just can't change? I mean, kind of to. To. [01:48:54] Speaker A: I mean, at this point, I don't even think, like, I don't care if you have, like, a guy who does hardcore desk matches as a champion. And like, he just wants to turn it into that every week. [01:49:04] Speaker B: You already did that. John Moxley and is sick as. [01:49:08] Speaker A: It's just like. Like, his specific formula of match does not interest me is the thing. Like. Yeah, like, Moxley matches have a formula, right? [01:49:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:49:21] Speaker A: But he. He manages to adapt to whoever his opponent is. So that's. That's why I enjoy watching Moxley matches. Like, you tell me he's going to wrestle Hechisero, I'm going to see something. If you tell me he's going to wrestle Ace Austin, it's going to be something entirely different. It's going to be entertaining. It might not be the best thing on the show, but it's going to be fun. I'm going to enjoy watching because I like watching how he wrestles in character and wrestles around the other character in the ring. [01:49:49] Speaker B: But now I'm just stuck in this pattern of what's the big spot gonna be? [01:49:53] Speaker A: Yes. Dar, like, they. They went out there and they were like, we have to outdo our one and only singles match, which, again, was excellent. I loved it. But they went out. We have to figure out how to top it. So how do we top it? We have to do it straight to the floor. We have to do a bridging German suplex, which again, unbelievable. [01:50:17] Speaker B: Just gross. [01:50:18] Speaker A: Believable. [01:50:19] Speaker B: Gross. Don't do it ever again. [01:50:21] Speaker A: Yeah, like, actually, no, please do it again. I think Takeshita can actually do it. [01:50:26] Speaker B: Yeah. Fair. Yeah, no, he's pretty good. [01:50:28] Speaker A: Like, Takeshita had a lot of big moments. He got out of, like, the Last Supper pen. Like, he did Avalanche Code Red and kicked up and just kept going. The main storyline. Oh, yeah, he caught the. He caught another Code Red and turned into the bastard driver. Yeah. [01:50:44] Speaker B: Yeah. That was sick. [01:50:45] Speaker A: It is. [01:50:46] Speaker B: No, like, Takeshita did have so much cool, but, like, yeah, I love. Not enough and that. [01:50:53] Speaker C: I mean, I. You're gonna mention this, Erica, but the ring, like, I loved it. It's just more. It's more character for him. [01:51:02] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, so this. This turned into, like we talked about before, MJF gave Don the ring and Don's on commentary. So Don is like, I need to, you know, help my guy win. So he tries give diamond ring to Takeshita, and Takesha throws it away because he's turning face. [01:51:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:51:20] Speaker B: Yep. [01:51:20] Speaker A: He doesn't need. [01:51:21] Speaker B: I will say this. This has had more story than a lot of the other Darby matches so far, but it's mostly thanks to Tesha and Don. [01:51:31] Speaker C: Nothing to do with him. [01:51:33] Speaker B: Nothing to do with him. But, yeah, it goes how it goes to two coffin drops and blah, blah. [01:51:40] Speaker C: Five. It's five. [01:51:41] Speaker B: Five total. He got five total. [01:51:44] Speaker A: Five total. Yeah, he did the one. He did the one on the floor. [01:51:48] Speaker C: Yeah, the third. I. I counted the third one. [01:51:51] Speaker B: Naturally. Naturally. [01:51:51] Speaker C: Thinking he falls on the he. Because I want to make an automated cough and drop counter, honestly. [01:51:58] Speaker B: Oh, let's go. [01:51:59] Speaker C: Anyways. But he. He. The third one, he does fall on Takesh's knees. [01:52:07] Speaker B: Yes, yes, yes, yes. [01:52:09] Speaker A: That was cool. I enjoyed it. My. My favorite Darby Ragdoll moment in this [01:52:18] Speaker C: was [01:52:20] Speaker A: he was, like, kind of like, crawling into the ring from the apron, and Takesha just kind of grabs him by the leg and. [01:52:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:52:30] Speaker A: Into the barricade. [01:52:34] Speaker C: Reality. What is it? I think Excalibur broke. They broke the count twice, but then Takeshita pulled him out. It's like. That's a message. [01:52:44] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:52:45] Speaker B: Oh, that's good. It's like, just stop counting. [01:52:48] Speaker A: Darby still got a terrible scorpion death lock. I just want to say. [01:52:52] Speaker B: Yeah, all right. [01:52:53] Speaker C: Yeah, say it. [01:52:54] Speaker B: I don't know. I. I feel bad because it's like, this is the main event, so it's tech. Like, the end of the show, and I don't want to end on a downer. [01:53:01] Speaker C: Well, we still have the contract signing. [01:53:03] Speaker A: Yes. I'm not, like, gonna go spot by spot on this. I just wanted to, like. Yeah, I. I feel. [01:53:10] Speaker B: I feel like we talked about a lot of it. [01:53:11] Speaker A: I feel like it's. It's. It was kind of, like, not important, but, like, this is like, we have gone over, like, here's why we don't like Darby, and here's why we don't like his matches right now. And now it's here. It's like, here's the problem with his reign and why it's not working. Like, this is not working. Like, I don't. People can be like, oh, the matches are great. Oh, it's cool. Matches every single week. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. Like, even if he was not a potential sex offender, I don't care. [01:53:45] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:53:46] Speaker A: Yeah. I'm Done. I'm done. [01:53:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I just, I'm really, I'm. It's just I'm so worn out. It's reheated versions of other better things that feel rushed, unearned, and just, I don't know, again, like, I hope that they're like, the reason it's so rushed and weird and awkward is that they're like, okay, cool, we never have to do this again. [01:54:09] Speaker A: I hope so. I really hope so. [01:54:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:54:13] Speaker A: All right, so Darby wins. He's bleeding from the mouth. He calls out MJF and that he needs to sign the contract if he wants to wrestle him at double or nothing. And they actually do. They set out like a table for the contract signing, like really fast because they were like, we got to go, we got to go. Max comes out. They're chanting bald Adam. Darby's drilling blood all over the place. [01:54:38] Speaker B: Yes, yes. [01:54:40] Speaker A: He hesitates for a second and he sits down. He does like a whole promo about like, you know, like, I feel bad for the small penis Madam North Carolina. And he tells us that he's the difference between him and Darby is he's interested in making a legacy. And Darby's just interested in being as self destructive as possible. [01:55:00] Speaker C: Yeah. He calls him a stuntman who burns the candle at bir ends. [01:55:03] Speaker B: And I was like, he nailed him, dude. That whole promo, he just nailed him. I was like, get him, get him harder. Get him again. Yeah, like all that is dead on that guy. I hope he wins. I hope he wins so hard. [01:55:18] Speaker A: Fans might remember him fondly, but they'll know he was just a prick who got lucky and was too reckless to stay on top, which was a good line. Yeah, he's gonna go down as a three time world champ at 30 or before 30. And as the greatest of all time. Darby Allen brags about climbing a mountaintop and. But in professional wrestling, he is the mountain. Darby doesn't says that he doesn't care about legacy. He runs at the moment. He wants Max to sign the contract so he can make him a bald headed bad line. MJF stops stalling, signs the contract. And then he cheap shots Darby. He loads up a diamond ring, punches him in the face, poses, leaves, changes his mind to come back and do that second rope tombstone pile driver. He does. Kevin Knight makes a save and that's it. [01:56:12] Speaker C: Yeah, I thought it was interesting that only Kevin ran out and grabbed him, but I suppose Kevin has beef with [01:56:19] Speaker A: MGF to be like, yeah, that's kind of mostly it. Yeah, that's, that's a Show. [01:56:27] Speaker C: Can more people wrestle in suits, please? I was watching him and I was. I was like, why do I love this so much? Much. And I think it's a mixture between MJF losing his and beating up on Darby. [01:56:42] Speaker B: You just funny. [01:56:43] Speaker C: And the. [01:56:45] Speaker B: The dn. The DNA that makes. Helps to like make up your. Your genome just desperately Mrs. I.R.S. irwin R. Shyster. And it just. You see something, you're like, why this calls to me. [01:57:02] Speaker C: I'm assuming that's an IRS wrestling wrestler gimmick. [01:57:06] Speaker B: Yes. [01:57:07] Speaker A: Yes. [01:57:08] Speaker B: You saw. You saw irs. Oh, wait, no, you. You wait. You knew irs. VK Wall Street. [01:57:18] Speaker C: VK Wall Street. [01:57:19] Speaker B: Okay. VK Wall street was IRS wrestling in a suit. Okay, thank you. I forgot by the time he showed up, he was in the other company. [01:57:27] Speaker C: God. [01:57:29] Speaker B: Kennedy Wall Street. [01:57:36] Speaker A: I remember. Yeah. He was on the second. Second nitro and he got beat by Sting like in the squash match. [01:57:41] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, he did. [01:57:43] Speaker C: Sure did. It sounds about. [01:57:47] Speaker B: They're like. They're like. Like really heavy handed. Like this is Vince McMahon. This is us. This is Sting is beating up Vince McMahon. [01:57:54] Speaker C: Yeah, it was very give, you know, subtex for. [01:57:59] Speaker B: Yeah, whatever. [01:58:00] Speaker A: Subtex. [01:58:02] Speaker B: RIP Billionaire Ted. But yeah, that was a dynamite. [01:58:06] Speaker A: I thought it was a pretty good dynamite overall. It was. [01:58:08] Speaker B: Overall. [01:58:10] Speaker A: I am, as you said, I am very concerned about the women's division at the moment. [01:58:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:58:20] Speaker A: Because that's like two weeks in a row. Whoa. Two weeks in a row. [01:58:30] Speaker C: I didn't want it. Well, especially because Willows now I don't. You know, she feels like. I don't know why. She feels like she. And she's from the men's league, but it's the conglomeration tactic. But I don't know. [01:58:43] Speaker A: Willow is probably the most popular one. One of the. If not the most. She's one of the most most popular women on the whole roster. [01:58:49] Speaker C: Oh, yes. Oh, yes. [01:58:52] Speaker B: Yeah. Her and te. [01:58:54] Speaker A: Like she's been consistently popular since she [01:58:57] Speaker C: came in the thing. Also, the thing with Willow is little kids love her and that's what the. That's what the company wants. Like, I mean as any company wants. But like. Oh yeah. [01:59:10] Speaker B: Well, yeah, they want the kids parents monies. [01:59:13] Speaker C: Yes, yes. Yes. They want, you know, 10 years of that kid's life. [01:59:17] Speaker A: Buy the Lisa Frank T shirt that says nothing matters. Smile anyway. [01:59:22] Speaker B: More important, more importantly by. By Ella, the Lisa Frank smile anyways. And that again, that skirt that she was wearing tonight. [01:59:36] Speaker C: Very cute. [01:59:37] Speaker B: Is so cute. Yes, I want that. But yeah, that was it. That's wrestling. We did. It's Happy wrestling. We did it. Well, so we got say now we're in. I love that we've. We've fallen in to the. This is, you know, 101 episodes published on the feed now we've fallen into this thing that we do all of. And then it's like, okay, housekeeping at the end. If people wanting at the end. Yeah, yeah. Hi, guys. [02:00:03] Speaker A: Doing. [02:00:03] Speaker B: How you doing? I mean, well, I got homunculi for that. That's fine. [02:00:11] Speaker C: Are not very good. [02:00:13] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly. [02:00:14] Speaker A: Clothes are homunculi. Are you doing science or magic? What is happening? It's both. [02:00:18] Speaker B: It's both. Did you ever doubt that it was both? Erica. Jesus. [02:00:23] Speaker A: Is it a combination? Is it one? Is it the other? Like, I just, like, I need to understand the rules of this gimmick. [02:00:29] Speaker C: Oh. Oh, no. [02:00:31] Speaker B: Oh, no, no, no. [02:00:33] Speaker C: The rules are just. What a. Yes. [02:00:35] Speaker B: And what did you think was going on in the basement of the old place? And most likely the basement of this place? [02:00:40] Speaker A: I thought just regular ass mad science, not any of this like a cult. [02:00:44] Speaker B: Oh, come on. Well, that reminds me, y'. [02:00:46] Speaker A: All. [02:00:47] Speaker B: Yeah, you literally. I made. I made a wizard. I made a wizard. [02:00:51] Speaker A: I think the wizard made themselves [02:00:55] Speaker C: homunculi. [02:00:57] Speaker B: But anyways, long story short, y' all need to get out of here. I need to switch the aprons out for the new show. Oh, yeah. Oh, by the way, sickos, is a new show coming? That's my way of telling you there's a new show coming. Not gonna tell you what it is yet, but get ready, start getting hyped. [02:01:17] Speaker A: Monculi. [02:01:18] Speaker B: It's about homunculi. But no, like we had. We've been having guests over, you know, and one of them, like, left something here, A little bit of DNA, some ideas, and, and, and. And they might be coming back for more permanent basis. So you're just gonna have to wait and see. But much like this show probably launching at Pride, so keep an eye an ear out for that. There will have a blue sky page and all those things probably just going to send you to the same patreon. We'll see who knows. I talk. I'll have to talk with my. My co bad scientist, see how that goes. But give us money. W pod patreon.com I yoded that one. I love you. I love you all. Happy wrestling. [02:02:12] Speaker A: Happy wrestling. Bye. Hello. [02:02:37] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah, no, like, good luck finding a stinger. We are. We. We. Everyone got in this recording booth and was like, violence, violence. What if violence. Choosing.
