Show Notes

We are still chugging along to All In and this is kind of the go home show for the go home show in Glasgow next time. Pretty exciting stuff happening in the city of Baltimore though. Will Ospreay and Kenny Omega have a face-to-face discussion to make sure we understand that they are wrestling eat other at Wembly and there are more reasons to care besides it will be pretty cool. Like New Japan attendance numbers from 2020-2021. Riveting! If that doesn't float your boat, we've got some wrestling too I guess. Do you like Jon Moxley vs. Jay White? We did! Do you like the United Empire's little Italian wrestler? Hampter does! Maya World defended the TBS Title in a four-way! Nigel McGuinness and Hechicero went at it! And Ospreay accidentally unlocks double secret hidden boss Kenny Omega. Wild.

There was so much dank in the arena this week, it was really fun but that fuse sure is hard to light now...

[00:00:07] Speaker A: In the beginning, the earth was a dark, formless void. But then God spoke and said, let there be wrestling. And with that, there was Monday, and wrestling happened on Mondays. And God looked upon her works and said, holy shit, that's a lot of racism in video packages. On the second day, God got depressed, and lo, did she post about it on the DVD VR forums. And with that, there was Tuesday. On the third day, God said, let there be Wednesday. And lo, did the people reply unto her. We know what that means. [00:00:57] Speaker B: Welcome back to Wednesday by Fake Fights. There was a whole bunch of talking that could go on the Patreon, but it won't. In fact, it's gonna die in a field with a fire and some kerosene and a hammer, a big hammer. And none of that will ever see the light of day. It is I, Ella Taylor. What with the she her pronouns here to talk about. Aw, dynamite. Like I do every week with my wrestlequeers. The first whomst of which is the length. Erica Warren. Say hi, Erica. [00:01:31] Speaker A: Hello, Erica. [00:01:32] Speaker B: Hey. [00:01:33] Speaker A: Defied you. I didn't say hi. I said hello, you little finger son [00:01:38] Speaker B: of a bee sting. Well, actually, no. It's yellow jackets in there. In the walls of my apartment. My second wrestle queer. Whomst I love dearly. I am making. Don't look so disappointed in me. I making jokes out of my life. Yo, Asoy. I have to say, [00:02:05] Speaker C: I think. Yeah. So the music plays, the music hits, and, like, everything goes off, but there's no hampter sero until there's like this scrabbling and shrieking and falling of plaster, and all of a sudden this hampter with or this opossum wizard comes shooting out of the walls, being chased by yellow jackets. [00:02:36] Speaker B: Oh, God damn it, though. We did. I did send you in there. I told you not to write. [00:02:44] Speaker A: You know how you deal with the killer bees, though. [00:02:47] Speaker B: How's that? [00:02:48] Speaker A: You need a cheeky baby. [00:02:50] Speaker B: I knew you're gonna get. [00:02:51] Speaker A: Yeah, put them and put them in the camel clutch, right? [00:02:54] Speaker B: Yep, yep, yep. [00:02:56] Speaker A: Make that humble old country way. [00:03:01] Speaker B: Oh, Jesus Christ. It's what, a week already? [00:03:05] Speaker A: What? [00:03:06] Speaker B: We're what, three minutes in? A.m. i recording? We're recording, right? [00:03:09] Speaker A: Recording. Yeah, so recorded. All the reprehensible stuff that we can't. [00:03:13] Speaker C: The what Vince Russo left on the cutting floor. Cutting floor. Let's be real. Let's be real. [00:03:22] Speaker B: What you don't understand about 9 11, [00:03:25] Speaker A: okay, bro, I would have had David Aette on a fourth plane. [00:03:37] Speaker C: No, Keep it. [00:03:42] Speaker A: Put a pilot's hat on a pole, match I It. [00:03:46] Speaker B: No, I'm putting it before. [00:03:48] Speaker C: Before it crashes in, too. [00:03:53] Speaker A: He dives. He changes direction last minute because it's a swerve. And Jeff Jarrett comes out with his guitar. [00:04:07] Speaker B: I, I, I was gonna try to make it. I was gonna try to make a joke about Big Boss man and the African Dream, but. Or who. Who. Who were the two towers in wwf? I can't remember. It was Big Boss man and Hakeem, wasn't it? [00:04:28] Speaker A: Yeah. One man gang. [00:04:30] Speaker B: One man gang. But they made them. Yeah. Who? Yeah, that man wasn't African. [00:04:37] Speaker A: No. [00:04:39] Speaker B: God. But we're not doing the Monday night show. [00:04:41] Speaker A: Rip the Twin Towers. [00:04:43] Speaker B: Rip the Twin Tower. Yeah. We lost both. Yeah, they're both gone. [00:04:48] Speaker C: They're both down. [00:04:49] Speaker B: All four towers are down. All four towers are done, man. [00:04:55] Speaker A: But how did that [00:05:00] Speaker B: Sid Yuty. He lost him, too. Yeah. [00:05:04] Speaker A: Oh, man. [00:05:05] Speaker B: We still got. Wait, Dan. Dan Spivey still here? I don't know. There's a lot of tall. [00:05:11] Speaker C: Not. He's not. [00:05:12] Speaker B: Okay, so we still have Anne Skyscraper. Fantastic. [00:05:15] Speaker A: Oh, okay. [00:05:17] Speaker B: Okay. I need to. I need to stir this cozy coup plane as far away from this conversation as humanly possible. [00:05:27] Speaker C: I think he's cursed. [00:05:29] Speaker B: Hey, Erica. [00:05:31] Speaker A: What? [00:05:31] Speaker B: Hey, Erica, where in the are we? [00:05:35] Speaker A: We're in Heck. In Baltimore. [00:05:38] Speaker B: Oh, God. Ah, Jesus. Okay. [00:05:42] Speaker A: Heck and Chungus. Baltimore. You know, they're all millennials. [00:05:52] Speaker C: Oh, boy. [00:05:53] Speaker B: Okay, cool. Well, I'm in Baltimore. Yay. [00:06:00] Speaker A: So I have a cryptid for us. [00:06:02] Speaker B: Is it the federal government? [00:06:05] Speaker A: No. No. [00:06:10] Speaker B: Okay. I think I hear Baltimore. I think Maryland. I think the general DMV area. And, And I know. Yeah. [00:06:18] Speaker A: No, we're actually. We're actually. Yeah, the Orioles are a baseball team. [00:06:23] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:06:23] Speaker B: Oh, well, that's cool. I think Ravens. I like Ravens. Ravens. [00:06:27] Speaker A: I think of the. Was it Otakon? The anime convention down there was like, the big east coast one for a while, and they have a nice aquarium. I like the aquarium. [00:06:37] Speaker B: Oh, oh, what about the. The. What was the thing? They had that thing with the. The. The famous horror poet that slept with his underage cousin? No, the other one. Oh, yeah, that one. Okay. I was trying to make. Yeah, no, I'm sorry. I was trying to make a joke about how our society is built on abuse, but that. That's neither here nor there. [00:07:02] Speaker A: It's a different time. As opposed to now, where the abuse is a gray area. [00:07:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:12] Speaker A: Wow, this is cheerful. Do you want to hear about a cryptid? [00:07:15] Speaker C: Yes, please. [00:07:16] Speaker B: Please. Before I try to turn this into a joke about doing chairs, [00:07:22] Speaker A: it would go across the Chesapeake Bay. To. To Waco county for the Wakamico Catman. [00:07:30] Speaker C: Oh, I. Can I. Is it. Oh, my gosh, this one. Can it just be like a renegade? You remember when Cats originally hit Broadway, like in the 80s where it's just some renegade wasn't alive? [00:07:44] Speaker B: Bro, I was there. I don't remember. [00:07:48] Speaker C: You remember back in the night? Yeah, I would just think it's a dream performer. [00:07:54] Speaker A: I mean, it was in. This did happen in 1980, like, the most famous sighting. [00:07:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:07:59] Speaker A: When did Cats come out? Someone look up when Cats, like, debuted. [00:08:03] Speaker B: Oh, God. Yeah. Bugs, can we look that up again? Wrong show. All right, Bugs, you have The. [00:08:09] Speaker A: The Butthole, 1981. 81. [00:08:12] Speaker B: Okay, so. So what happened here is that an extra got some of the wrong cocaine. [00:08:19] Speaker A: I mean, you think about it, they probably would have been like, rehearsing in 1980. [00:08:24] Speaker B: That was Mr. Lloyd Weber's cocaine. [00:08:27] Speaker A: And. [00:08:27] Speaker B: And that was one of those. Yeah, yeah. Who loved cocaine and wrote about cats. [00:08:35] Speaker C: Yeah. But. [00:08:37] Speaker A: Yeah, so like Catman, it was. There's like some. Some teens got together in a car to go hang out at the local dump. [00:08:47] Speaker B: Oh, they were doing drugs and. Or. Or premarital sex. Like that. [00:08:53] Speaker A: Yeah, that was. That was what that was. [00:08:54] Speaker B: That's what's going on there, though. [00:08:56] Speaker A: I. I don't think I would take a date to the dump. [00:09:00] Speaker B: To the dump? [00:09:02] Speaker A: How small? [00:09:04] Speaker B: It depends. Wait, wait, wait. I could see. I don't know, man. Like, we used to. We used to go to, like, cemeteries and hang out. What's that but a dump? [00:09:16] Speaker A: It doesn't smell. [00:09:18] Speaker C: I think there's a difference between like a dumping ground in like landfill, right? [00:09:23] Speaker A: Yeah, this is a landfill. This is. [00:09:25] Speaker B: Okay, okay. I thought you. [00:09:27] Speaker C: All right. [00:09:27] Speaker B: I thought you talk about just. Okay, okay. Because. Because I was like, oh, no. I used to hang out, like, I used to be pretty hang out. I used to hang out with some folks that are like. Like, we'd hang out and go like, hang out in the boonies and. And some of the. Some of those places might as well be landfills. [00:09:47] Speaker A: Like, I mean, listen, I've hung out in some sketchy places too. [00:09:51] Speaker B: The cigarettes smoked the same. [00:09:54] Speaker A: Okay, let's go to the dump. [00:09:57] Speaker B: No, I feel like that's entirely different. [00:09:59] Speaker A: Let's go to an open air pile of garbage. [00:10:03] Speaker B: No, and that's certainly not. Not where premarital sex is happening. [00:10:07] Speaker A: I would not. [00:10:08] Speaker B: That's not great. [00:10:09] Speaker A: No, no. But yeah, they cat thing, which was like cat shaped, but it had like a kind of human looking face and human looking hands and they Ran away and they came back with another car full of teenagers in another eight ball. And another eight ball. [00:10:29] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:10:30] Speaker A: And, and, and apparently it was still there. And this time it actually tried to get into one of the cars. Yeah, Trying to eat teenagers. [00:10:44] Speaker C: You're not gonna. But it's a cat sized cat. Low. Like, like. [00:10:47] Speaker A: No, it's a house cat. No, no, it's like a. Okay, it's like big, like human size. [00:10:51] Speaker B: No, no, no. [00:10:52] Speaker A: This is an extra, like, production of cats. [00:10:58] Speaker C: I thought it was a cat. [00:11:02] Speaker A: No, you're thinking of what we do in the shadows where everything except his face. Yes, but it's kind of like that, except bigger. [00:11:13] Speaker C: Huge. Okay, okay, okay. It is an extra from cats. Yeah, I was right the first time. [00:11:19] Speaker B: Yeah. No, I really think we figured the. Yeah. Hampter. You knocked this one out in one. [00:11:26] Speaker A: You called it. [00:11:27] Speaker C: I don't want. I usually, I do. Sorry. I usually like to leave that to la because I loved this whimsy and I love cryptids. But. Yeah, sorry, it just came to me because I. [00:11:36] Speaker B: No, it's amazing. [00:11:38] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:11:39] Speaker B: Piper, you please feel free to cut just a lot of that. I, I, I think I just said a lot of crazy. I don't remember. I, I'm just saying. [00:11:52] Speaker A: The most normal cryptid of the week ever. We really. Yeah, it was very straightforward. It's a cat that looks like a man. It scared some teenagers. Has anybody ever seen. [00:12:03] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. I didn't say the joke that I had about the butthole cut. I left that out with that. [00:12:08] Speaker A: No, I said something about the butthole [00:12:09] Speaker B: cut that remained an inside thought. All right, never mind. We're, we're good. We're good. Piper, release the butthole. [00:12:17] Speaker A: Imaginary producer. [00:12:19] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:22] Speaker C: So nobody's ever seen it before? This is just a sighting? [00:12:25] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:12:26] Speaker C: Cited two different times by two different groups of teens? [00:12:30] Speaker B: Well, no, same group of teams. [00:12:32] Speaker A: It was same group. Like, they went and they got more and they saw it again. Like there's, it's like. Okay, okay, so like this is like a super obscure case. Like, nobody actually really knows all about it because it's like, it's just this. And then like other people are just like. Well, I saw a deer that had been killed once. That's his deer, man. I mean, like, I guess it's weird because, like, mountain lions are like. There are mountain lions out here, but they don't come down to, like, Maryland. [00:13:13] Speaker C: So I want to check out this landfill. [00:13:16] Speaker A: Yeah, there's the one article I found. I had like a bunch different pictures of the landfill. [00:13:27] Speaker C: Folks. [00:13:28] Speaker A: It's like, we don't. We don't really have much to say. We're just like. Let's just riff on the concept of a cat man in a dump where some kids are doing. Doing the weed. [00:13:38] Speaker C: Pictures of cat man. [00:13:40] Speaker A: Yeah, get me pictures of cat man. [00:13:43] Speaker C: That means. [00:13:44] Speaker A: No, I don't want pictures of Catman. Give me pictures of the landfill. [00:13:47] Speaker C: Yeah, no, that's where the real money lies. The money shots. [00:13:50] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [00:13:51] Speaker A: You're trash. Piles of trash. I want to smell the pictures. [00:13:57] Speaker B: I'm so uncomfortable right now. That's awesome. We should talk about wrestling. So uncomfortable right now. [00:14:09] Speaker A: You don't like Deja and the Jameson impression? [00:14:17] Speaker B: This whole crypt of the week just made me feel icky. I don't know if it's. Maybe it's the landfill of it all, but it just made me feel icky. How did those children get cocaine? [00:14:30] Speaker A: Yeah, It's a guy in a leotard. It's a face paint. [00:14:36] Speaker B: But why can you see the butthole? You know, it's just. [00:14:41] Speaker A: What? There's no version of Cats where you see the butthole. It's a mess. [00:14:45] Speaker B: Yes, there is. No, there's a butthole cut. No, I believe. [00:14:50] Speaker A: No, no. [00:14:51] Speaker B: And also, hashtag I believe. [00:14:53] Speaker A: Even if it was real, the butthole cut would not exist until. Yeah, like, this is like the. The costumes for the stage production did not have buttholes. The zero that I know of. Maybe they did in, like, no reproduction. [00:15:11] Speaker B: You know, there. [00:15:12] Speaker A: You know. [00:15:13] Speaker B: You know, there was a pass. You know, there was a pass at, like, one pass where he tried, and they're like, no, we will take. We will take the cocaine away, Andrew. Yeah. And. And [00:15:28] Speaker C: T.S. eliot would want the buttholes, [00:15:33] Speaker A: so he [00:15:33] Speaker B: said he wanted the butthole. [00:15:35] Speaker C: Yeah, they stayed of. T.S. elliott was, like, explicit. [00:15:39] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:15:40] Speaker C: In any reproduction. [00:15:44] Speaker A: All right, so, yeah, wrestling happened because it was. Aw, dynamite. And the show opened with the trios match of the United Empire versus the Don Callis family. And we had Will Ospreay, who I have to shout out mj because she came up with calling him billing Birds legs. And I said I would use that in my notes, so. [00:16:10] Speaker B: Wow. That's better than what? That's better than what I got. I just went with aerial like that. [00:16:17] Speaker A: Dylan's bird legs. Yep. Hanare and Hampter's favorite Italian, Francesco Akira. The only Italian who has ever wrestled. [00:16:25] Speaker C: They make Italian wrestlers. [00:16:29] Speaker A: I didn't know. [00:16:30] Speaker B: Holy. [00:16:32] Speaker A: And then family was Brian Cage, Rocky Romero, and Lance Archer. [00:16:39] Speaker C: Hi, Lance. Archer. [00:16:41] Speaker A: Lance. Yeah, I feel like it's been a while since I see Lance actually a Russell. He's usually just like looking scary on the outside. [00:16:47] Speaker B: Well, he's usually just putting people through tiles and roofs and. Which is. [00:16:52] Speaker A: Yeah, everybody's gotta die. [00:16:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:16:55] Speaker C: He's bigger than everybody that you just mentioned. Sometimes by a lot except Brian Cage. [00:17:01] Speaker A: Brian Cage is just wider because he's just. [00:17:04] Speaker C: Yes, [00:17:09] Speaker B: He does nothing. He just does nothing but lift weights and eat smaller wrestlers. He was like, that's it. [00:17:19] Speaker C: Him and Lance bullying Akira. I'm like, just. This little Italian guy was just being fucking manhandled. I love [00:17:34] Speaker A: was enjoyable. [00:17:37] Speaker B: No, I think, I think I've come all the way around on. On the Brian Cage at all where I'm just like, you know what it give him more. That's what I'm saying. Like just at this point, just, just see how big he can go and still wrestle. Why? Like that's amazing. Like it. Let's go. Like, I'm down to see the science go. [00:18:06] Speaker A: I kind of like everybody in this match because. Yeah, I'm always happy to see Hanare on tv. He's cool. He does like a little Maori chant to psych himself up and then just like starts to throw himself at Lance Archer and it's just like, no, no shoulder block. [00:18:28] Speaker B: Everybody means everybody, little guy. Sorry. [00:18:30] Speaker C: That's when I was like, damn, Lance Archer is so huge. [00:18:37] Speaker A: He's a big, big guy. [00:18:40] Speaker B: I. I started watching the Murder Hobo show, which I cannot recommend enough. Everyone should watch Murder Hobo. Reacher, the reacher. [00:18:52] Speaker A: Is there like a dnd show that I'm. [00:18:54] Speaker B: No, no. It's like how the WNBA is lady squeakum Like Reacher and my brain is just Murder Hobo. I apologize. It's. It's who he is. It's what he does. [00:19:05] Speaker A: Yeah, he's Reacher. [00:19:07] Speaker B: He's just like, he's Reacher. He's a murder hobo. He's big guy. The whole thing is what, like m on on Blue sky? Put like, what if big guy. What if a guy was real big and like the third season, his problem by being big. Yeah, in like the third season, there's a guy who's bigger than him and it's a whole plot point. [00:19:31] Speaker A: Damn, that's deep. See, like when I think of Reach here, I feel like it's just the Incredible Hulk. But if the Incredible Hulk was just a guy who was always kind of Hulk, basically, that TV show with the. The David Banner show was just like he was a murder hobo, but he just turned into a monster sometimes. [00:19:53] Speaker B: But the only time he Turns in. The only time this guy turns into a monster is when people bully people who are less fortunate than them. And that's like. I don't know, it makes me sexually aroused. Like. Like that's based like that. That is. I like. I like. What I like when murder Hobo, fine, mean guy and go, I don't like that. And then murder him with his hobo face. Like that. That's. It's so sick. But all that to say I think that Lance Archer and murder hobo should get together and see who dies. Because I say team up. [00:20:35] Speaker A: But you want them to fight. [00:20:37] Speaker B: No, I want them to fight. [00:20:39] Speaker A: Okay. [00:20:40] Speaker B: Because Lance Archer says everybody dies and Reacher says I can't die. I am large man. [00:20:47] Speaker C: Oh, so you're putting it to the [00:20:48] Speaker B: test and I want to see what. Yeah, I want to do that. Science. So reach out. No pun intended. And. And I forget was Amazon. That's gross. Get reach her into the wrestling rings so that I can. Anyways, call. I'll be right back. [00:21:09] Speaker A: His finisher could be the Reacher round. [00:21:13] Speaker C: Perfect. No notes. [00:21:19] Speaker A: They triple team Archer for a little bit and then leave the small Italian alone in the ring with them. So of course that means it's time for Commercial Heat. Commercial heat. They do basic to him and then Hanari gets tagged in and he just like runs over Brian Cage and they do more stuff and Archer wants the. The crucifix and he gets out, eats a black hole slam. Then comes bird legs and they double team Rocky Romero in the corner and they just beat the shadow of him and then they're gonna pin him and Excalibur actually says Archer uses his length to break up the pin. And I'm like, yes. That was the high point of the show. He used the legs. [00:22:09] Speaker B: It's all done now. Yep. Well, I mean, you just like it because then someone has to pay you. [00:22:17] Speaker A: I wish. They do a poison rana to Rocky and then he tries a slice bread and he gets double teamed Larer Archer goes after him and. All right. Kills him with the headbutt. So then Rocky's all alone with. With Bill and bird legs and he's like, he could like, you know, do something to try and win the match, but instead he does his like knee slide pose and little shimmy and Osprey just cuts his head off. [00:22:50] Speaker C: It was so good. [00:22:52] Speaker B: They've done that bit before and I love it every time. I'm fine with it. [00:22:58] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:22:58] Speaker C: I mean they wrestle every six months, right? Maybe. If that. So Right. [00:23:04] Speaker A: So yes, United Empire wins. They let Us know that the hopes of a nation are on Bill and bird legs shoulders. I hope the hope of a nation, you guys. [00:23:18] Speaker C: The hope. Jesus. Grim. So grim. [00:23:23] Speaker A: Is it that bad over there that they're just like, wow, I can't wait for Will. [00:23:28] Speaker B: I will say it's not great. From my understand, it's not great, but [00:23:31] Speaker A: I don't think Will Osprey winning at Wembley is going to fix anything. If it does, please let me know if trans women or trans people in general can just use the right bathroom. [00:23:41] Speaker B: Yeah, I, I think, I think the Birds have to win too. And then, then we get rights over there. [00:23:47] Speaker A: Yeah. Okay, [00:23:51] Speaker B: Nigel. Nigel has to take the Continental cup and then we can get rights to this. [00:23:58] Speaker C: This match was a united Empire Lance Cage showcase with Rocky Romero there to eat the pin. [00:24:05] Speaker B: Yeah. And also Rocky's there. [00:24:07] Speaker C: It was so good. [00:24:10] Speaker A: I liked it a lot. Yeah, like I, I like. I know we're kind of like selling Rocky short because like he's really good. But it's kind of funny that like the third string of the Don Callis family is Brian Cage, Land Charger and Rocky Romero, which is, that's kind of wild. [00:24:27] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:24:27] Speaker A: It's like if you told me that Rocky Romero was like on TV and just like the pin eater, then. [00:24:37] Speaker C: Yeah. Where have you. What are you doing? [00:24:39] Speaker A: It's like, what the fuck is happening? Rocky's on tv, isn't he? In New Japan? Well, let me tell you. Hey. We go backstage for an interview. Renee is with Kazuchika Okada and she wants to know his thoughts about the three way international title match. And Okada believes that nothing is more in fan more important than family. Unlike Takeshita. [00:25:05] Speaker B: That. [00:25:06] Speaker A: Yep. He tells us that Takeshita was selfish and that's why he had to leave the family. And he knows, he really hopes and he knows that Kyle Fletcher won't make the same mistake. Because all that matters is the title stays in the Don Callis family. And he'll be happy for Kyle if he wins. But he expects Kyle to be happy for him if he wins. [00:25:30] Speaker B: Yeah. Raises his hand in the middle of the ring and not him up after. [00:25:35] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:25:35] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:25:36] Speaker A: Yep. This is immediately followed up by, yeah, Kyle Fletcher coming to the ring to speak with Tony Siobhan. And Excalibur informs us that Don Callis is not here. He is vacationing on a beach in Greece. And I don't know why that little detail was so funny to me, but it was [00:26:03] Speaker B: awesome. [00:26:04] Speaker A: Yeah. Don Callis is, you know, he's just sailing around the Mediterranean he's kind of lost. He's trying to figure out how to [00:26:10] Speaker C: get home, not caring about this. This. You know, [00:26:16] Speaker B: what he. What he's doing is he's, like, going around. He's seeing all these, like, ancient tableaus and of all these dudes hanging out. Like, just all these muscly, oiled up, naked dudes wrestling each other and just hanging out, being bros. Like. Yeah, I like it here. Yeah. [00:26:37] Speaker A: Look at all the thighs. [00:26:39] Speaker B: Look at all the thighs. I like the temperature measuring limb length. Yeah. Yeah. [00:26:46] Speaker C: Comparing the. [00:26:47] Speaker A: You know, we should be doing this naked. [00:26:51] Speaker C: Why have we considered this? [00:26:54] Speaker B: There's a. There one. One of the figures looks strangely like Lance Archer. And he's got, like, weird dread. [00:27:02] Speaker C: Yeah. Tattoos. What are you. That's weird. [00:27:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Holy. [00:27:06] Speaker A: But, yeah. Commentary is like. It's really weird that Don is, like, on vacation while his entire family is having a meltdown. [00:27:13] Speaker B: That seems fine. That's normal. [00:27:15] Speaker A: That's so good. [00:27:16] Speaker B: Responsible father. Yeah. [00:27:17] Speaker A: Yeah. So Kyle. Kyle says that he's in the midst of the greatest international title reign of all time. He doesn't see any reason why it will end at Wembley. He agrees with Okada that family means everything. And Don has done so much for him. And Kyle owes him and trusts him, and he's willing to go along with the plan. But Okada, you need to know your role in this. And if you're a man of your word and the family is as important as you say it is, then he should have no problem having Kyle's back and helping him just retain the title. And they have in common that they both hate Takeshita and they congratulate him on losing the G1. Either way, go watch the G1 finals. That match is incredible. [00:28:07] Speaker B: Who won G1? [00:28:09] Speaker A: Oh, I don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it, but it wasn't Takeshita. Takeshita was not in the finals. The finals was Ryohei Oiwa versus What's his name, Yuya Uemura. It was. Everybody has been ejaculating about it for a week. It's very impressive. I didn't even really. [00:28:32] Speaker B: I've had an extremely up week, so I've, like, missed all of that. Thank you for. I forgot the G1 was going on, so. Thank you. [00:28:42] Speaker A: Not anymore. Not anymore. So, yes. Takeshita's music hits. And my husband is here and I am wet. He goes out of the ring. Him and Kyle both kind of strip, and then they just fight. Ends with Takeshita landing a poison Rana power drive knee and raging fire and the crowd is like just on his side, thinks he should win the title. Hooray. [00:29:09] Speaker C: Yeah. There's. I love it because it was just a really nice tape, like, taste of what's to come. And it was like all their shit. So there's like a Blue Thunder bomb, a half and half suplex just in your. Just eating it up. Like, yay, Yay. [00:29:29] Speaker A: Oh, I'll. I'm going to take a moment digress. I played a game RPG on last Friday and the bad guy in that, we named him Blue Thunder Todd. He really wanted to be a Yakuza. [00:29:48] Speaker B: That's awesome. [00:29:50] Speaker C: Awesome. [00:29:51] Speaker A: He. His gang beat the out of us because neither of us played a frontline fighter. Oops. [00:30:00] Speaker B: Thunder Todd is Blue Thunder Todd amazing. It needs to just live on forever. Like Blue Thunder Todd should just be a character that shows up in everything. [00:30:11] Speaker A: I think so, yeah. Like, we have recurring characters in a lot of our games and I think Blue Thunder Todd should just keep coming it back. All right, this is now Todd returns. Blue Thunder Todd. The return of Todd. Tropic. Blue Thunder Todd. Where they go to Florida, [00:30:35] Speaker B: brother. That's Thunder in paradise. [00:30:41] Speaker A: Paradise. Yeah. [00:30:42] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:30:42] Speaker B: Thunder Todd in paradise. There you go. Yeah, yeah. [00:30:46] Speaker A: There we go. All right, now for what was an interview segment, Renee is sitting down with Kenny Omega and Bill and Bird Legs to talk about their. Their history together. And there was like, parts of this that I really liked. I really liked Kenny in this because Kenny has like flipped a switch and he's just like, full, arrogant dick bag. And he like spends. [00:31:16] Speaker C: I have so many questions. Please continue. [00:31:19] Speaker A: Yeah, he just spends all this time like talking down the will. He's like, yeah, we wrestled in 2015 for the first time in PWG. It's like I didn't really know who Will Ospreay was, but, you know, I kept up on the Internet. I knew who the. Who the flavor of the week was. And yeah, and like even Osprey's like, yeah, I got my ass kicked. That was out of my depth. And they talk about yeah. [00:31:44] Speaker C: Was being very gracious in a straight shoot early. Yeah, there's definitely a [00:31:52] Speaker A: Kenny's. Kenny's just like nagging the out of him for most of it. [00:31:56] Speaker B: Just this whole. [00:31:57] Speaker A: The. [00:31:57] Speaker B: The. It gets worse later. This whole thing was just the V. I don't like the vibe of this match at all anymore. I don't like it. [00:32:11] Speaker C: Is this Gold man madness? What's going on? [00:32:15] Speaker A: Like, I don't know. But like, I mean, like, we'll talk about it when we get to the Main, too, because, like, I get what Kenny's thing is, but, like, I'm on his side because I don't like Will. Yeah. Nothing that Will says in this promo makes me like him because he comes off as a whiny. [00:32:37] Speaker C: Yeah. And. [00:32:38] Speaker B: And I think it's just that it. None of the. Because Kenny's amazing. Kenny's doing amazing heel, but it feels like he's forcing it and laying it on thick so that he's the heel for Wembley. So that when he loses at Wembley, it's a big moment and it just makes all of it feel stupid and forced and. [00:33:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:33:02] Speaker B: And all of a sudden, I just don't care. [00:33:06] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:33:06] Speaker B: Because just like that, I don't care. [00:33:08] Speaker A: It's like he was. He was Kenny Omega until this week, and now he's. Yeah, yeah. Collector dick bag. [00:33:18] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why. [00:33:22] Speaker A: Yeah. And. [00:33:22] Speaker B: And it's like there was. It feels like. Yeah, exactly. Like a complete 180 switch. And it's just like this is because he considered begging him. No, no, no. Because even when he bagged him and gave his thing after that, that he wasn't being. He was making a good point. He was still making the point of, like, you thought about killing me. Why wouldn't I not take you the out? Like, that's a stupid. That wasn't him being a belt collector douchebag. That was still him being the cleaner. You know what I mean? Now he's like, what the is this. This is like a whole. It's like a whole different character. And there was no inciting incident. Incident that I saw for it. It just like. And that's what makes it feel fake and blah, blah, blah. Like, my friend Corey from Jack of All Graves said, like, just. Is this. Is this gonna go on forever? Like, is it. Like, this whole segment just kept going and I was just like, I don't care. And the guts of it all. [00:34:20] Speaker A: And, yeah, like, they guts are mentioned. Will's neck is mentioned. Pretty much everything Kenny says to him is accurate and correct. He's. He says something about, like, I. I wrote too many notes on this, trying to transcribe it. It's like he. He basically implies that Will helped him against MJF because Will thought he would be the easier guy to beat. He thought that Osprey couldn't beat mjf. Even though. Even though he's beaten mjf, like, multiple times now. Something, something, win, loser, draw. He'll respect Osprey. And even if he loses, he's mostly. Mostly going to be proud of him. But his kid might want a new hero after Omega beats him. [00:35:11] Speaker C: And it's just like, sure, that's real. The bit that's dirty. [00:35:18] Speaker A: The bit that like, really, really set me off on this was they are talking about fucking New Japan attendance and fucking Covid. And like, this real. This really, really pissed me off because I. I spent my, you know, 2020 and 2021 in Japan. And I will tell you one thing that it was not easy, but it was not anywhere near as bad as it was in other parts of the world. Like, I was pretty lucky. On the other hand, I also couldn't go anywhere because they had very strict flight and quarantine rules. So, like, if you had permanent residency, you could leave the country and come back in, but you had to do two week quarantine. I was an English teacher. I did not have job security. So if I. I had family who died during COVID of COVID and I was not able to attend services or anything like that for any of them. [00:36:29] Speaker B: Yeah. My understanding is that the. The lockdowns over there were like actually what the people. What people hear thought in their mind was done to them. No, was. You know what I mean? Like, they're like, oh, my. I couldn't go get a haircut. I have been locked down. And it's like there. We were not locked down. [00:36:54] Speaker A: No, I'm here to tell you it was not. It's not even that. It's that my. If I. If I flew to the United States and came back to Japan, that's like a month that I'm not available to work. [00:37:07] Speaker B: Yeah, that's why I'm saying like, this. [00:37:09] Speaker A: Screw you. Like, we don't like, because, like, the. The quarantine only applied if you came into the country. Like, I, I had. I had a friend who did this. Like, she went on vacation out of the country and she did two week quarantine. I brought her groceries. She knew what was going to happen, but she did it, like, during a period where we were on vacation, we'd had no work whatever. Will ospreay bitching about flying 15 hours to do quarantine does not make me sympathize with him because nobody fucking made you shuttle back and forth between the UK and Japan. Like, the reason they had the quarantine then was to keep people from doing the bullshit you were doing. [00:37:54] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:37:55] Speaker A: And. And your company ate the cost for all that. I'm sorry. You sat in a business hotel. I did two weeks in a business hotel when I moved there. Because they didn't have my apartment ready once that's done. Japan was fine. Like, they, they. There was deaths, there was virus, there's all this shit. But life never stopped. There was like three months where the school, the school I worked at was closed, and then it just opened again with social distancing and masks. [00:38:26] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:38:27] Speaker A: And that. This was like across the board. People worked from home, but you could still go out to restaurants. Some restaurants closed because they couldn't afford the protection stuff. [00:38:36] Speaker B: So, like, that's just that they did actual protection shit we didn't do. Yeah, like, we didn't do any of that. [00:38:43] Speaker A: Society as a whole participated in stopping the spread, quote, unquote. [00:38:48] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, we didn't do any of that. And the, like, the fact that people complain about it to me makes me want to scream. [00:38:56] Speaker A: Like, yeah, just, just, just Osprey complaining about this just bugged the out of me. Like, yeah, quarantine sucks. You didn't have to do it. And yeah, frankly. [00:39:07] Speaker B: And also millions of people are dead. [00:39:09] Speaker C: You. [00:39:10] Speaker B: You had the opportunity. [00:39:12] Speaker A: You had the opportunity to not do it. And your company let you, like, you know, go back and forth. So that, that, that just set me off. And I'm done ranting about that for now. Yeah. [00:39:26] Speaker B: Anyways. Yeah. Hey, hey. We all got a lot of reasons to not want to see any more Will Osprey on our screen. Okay. You can air all of them. Apparently. That's what we do. I'm into it. [00:39:40] Speaker A: That's what we do also. Just like, just in general, don't use Covid as a wrestling angle. Just don't. [00:39:49] Speaker B: Yeah, just don't. Millions of people are dead. Don't. [00:39:52] Speaker A: Like, we don't need to be like, oh, well, you. Nobody could clap at my shows. Oh, no. It's like, you, you got to have shows. People got to go through the shows. Oh, no. [00:40:03] Speaker B: Did your penis fall off? It fell off, didn't it? It fell clean off. [00:40:09] Speaker A: I wish mine did. [00:40:11] Speaker B: Right. If people don't clap for me all the time. And then my. Yeah, there you go. New bottoms. [00:40:16] Speaker A: Yeah. I wish not being applauded meant my dick would fall off. Oh, man. Anyway, let's lighten up the mood. DC Lanterns presents the TBS title four Way Hikaru Shida versus Persephone versus Chris Statlander versus Maya World. And they do like a few picture in picture promos or like Persephone tells she knew she was going to go after. And she does like, you're. Shut the up, you shitty loser. I hate you. And then Maya does a Promo about how she defied the odds to become champion and she's gonna do it again tonight. And like, my. My note was like, the women are on so goddamn early. Like, this was like, yeah, quarter of eight. They came on. No complaints. Well done. This match ruled. This match ruled. [00:41:15] Speaker C: No, this is not the second to last. [00:41:17] Speaker A: Yep. [00:41:18] Speaker B: No, very into it. More of this, please. As always. More women recipe. [00:41:23] Speaker A: More of this. Yeah, like, imagine that. You let the women just go out and do stuff, then they do cool stuff and it's fun. Crowd was into it too. I'm shocked as. I'm as shocked as the next person. [00:41:36] Speaker C: Baltimore's big wrestling town. [00:41:38] Speaker A: I'm still heated. [00:41:43] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Here, here. How do we show? Dave Batista is officially cast as Kratos for live action God of War series. I don't think for him, he just cut, like, all that weight and was like, yeah, I'm happy. I don't gotta be big anymore because I'm done with the Marvel franchise. It's like, hey, can we get you to be a big guy in another series, Friends? [00:42:07] Speaker A: Yeah, but he. He's doing old man Kratos, so he doesn't have to be like, as cut. [00:42:12] Speaker B: All right, that's good. [00:42:14] Speaker A: Like, old man Kratos is still like, cut, but he doesn't have to be [00:42:17] Speaker B: like, the animals gotta be drags. Yeah. [00:42:23] Speaker A: Drax spare. [00:42:26] Speaker C: I love everybody in this fatal four way. [00:42:28] Speaker A: Yeah, this was really good. It was. And like I said, it was all action. Like, they just kind of dump each other to the floor and everybody's outside and, you know, they. Everybody, like, Persephone's looking for a dive stat cuts her off and there's a big fight on the floor. And then everybody gets a move in. Maya hits a baby face suicidal on stat. And then she kicks her in the face and Persephone dumps her on the apron. And the hills are kind of working together. Maya keeps getting, like, roll ups that are, like, very quick. And like, they seem like they're gonna, you know, get a flash pin, which spoiler. Which, like, you know, that's. That's good wrestling. They. They laid out that Maya world's really good at the flash pins. And that's how she manages to retain. [00:43:20] Speaker C: Yeah, I love it because they. Her promo was. I hope. I hope it's just between you and me. And even then, like, I'll. I'm ready for anything and I'm ready for you. And like, yeah, she. Statlander starts approaching her and because she's lying in the ring and immediately goes for that quick roll up. And I love that. I love that, you know, she and Stat were, you know, buddy, buddy previously. But she's like, nah, this is my belt. [00:43:54] Speaker A: It's my belt. You're not taking it from me. Yeah, it's great. Persephone does that leg capture German a suplex again. And that looks so terrifying. Like, I feel like it makes my quads tear just watching it. [00:44:12] Speaker C: She loved that so much. [00:44:15] Speaker A: They did this spot. I thought they were gonna do a Tower of Doom spot in the corner, but they don't. They just. [00:44:21] Speaker B: I saw that they. They was like, oh, they're doing the thing, and then they didn't do the thing. And I like when they don't do the thing. When you think they're gonna do the thing. [00:44:30] Speaker A: Yeah, they didn't do the thing. So, like, somebody that. Stat. Stat hits Maya with a German from the corner, and then she slams both heels down and then hits a senton. It was a really clever spot. Like, they set it up really nice. [00:44:44] Speaker C: Very smooth. [00:44:45] Speaker A: Yeah. Shida hits a falcon arrow on Statlander, and Statlander kicks out by doing a kip up and then does it right into Persephone, spearing her. And that was great. [00:45:01] Speaker C: I was flabbergasted that she kicked out and this and so was sheed up. But then Stat immediately got her pushed, get her eaten. [00:45:11] Speaker B: So, yeah, all up. [00:45:13] Speaker A: It sort of looks like the heels might work together again, but then they just start throwing bombs at each other, and Persephone's like, no, that you. She wants a BT bomb. Stat slams her on her own and gets leveled with a discus lariat. Maya breaks up the pin with a big splash. [00:45:35] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [00:45:36] Speaker A: Stat slam. Yeah. Out of nowhere, she just appeared. So then Stat's gonna go for the night fever. [00:45:43] Speaker B: Yes. [00:45:44] Speaker A: And Maya counters it with that roll up and she retains it. Was. This was so good. This was like a really, really well done four way. It felt like a sprint, but I think it was more like around like 10, 9, 10 minutes. Really good. [00:45:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I loved it. Everybody really got over it too. And they. I think everybody really showcased all their good stuff, too. So it was just 10 out of 10. [00:46:09] Speaker B: Everyone got their in huge spots. Yeah, like that. [00:46:14] Speaker C: Yeah, Maya's super. Like, they really got Maya over as well. [00:46:18] Speaker A: Yeah, they did. [00:46:20] Speaker B: Continuing to. And I'm super. [00:46:22] Speaker C: Yeah. I'm a shameless Maya. [00:46:25] Speaker A: She's. She's just gonna keep getting better too. [00:46:27] Speaker B: So. [00:46:28] Speaker A: Yeah, good stuff. Brawling Birds talk about their tag title match against Divine Dominion at Wembley. And they don't Care about the hometown match as much as they want to just punch the heels in the face. And we see, like, they had. [00:46:44] Speaker B: Also British. We're British. We're British. [00:46:47] Speaker A: Yeah, Sorry. [00:46:48] Speaker B: I'm so sorry. I'll try to never do that again. [00:46:53] Speaker A: There was a couple. I guess, like a couple collisions in a row. They had interactions with Divine Dominion, and they. They say they saw fear on Megan Bane and lean across his eyes and let's have a good time in Blighty. And something. Something very English. [00:47:11] Speaker C: It's so funny because she's talking and they're. The overlay is the Divine Dominion absolutely pushing. The bird's in. [00:47:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. Basically. Yeah. Oh, just them. Just them. [00:47:26] Speaker A: We beat you up. No, that's not the video I'm seeing. [00:47:32] Speaker C: Very end. When they jump Divine Dominion after their match, does the. Like. Oh, my God. [00:47:44] Speaker A: Yeah. Let's. Let's also shout out. There was a lot of technical difficulties on this. [00:47:49] Speaker B: Yeah. I was gonna say we skipped right over that. But whole. I literally had to re. I reached out to y'. [00:47:55] Speaker A: All. [00:47:55] Speaker B: I was like, hey, was that everyone, or is it just. Is my just up? Because, like, sometimes my shit's up. And then, like, it went. It went to commercial, and the commercial was playing. I was like, okay, cool. All right. Maybe my. Was up and came back from commercial. It was still silent. And I was like, hey. [00:48:16] Speaker A: There was all kinds of stuff on this, but, yeah, I'm. I'm so amused at the subtext of the women's tag title match is you guys are a couple stereotypes only getting a match because it's your hometown. They're like, yeah, but we're gonna beat you anyway. [00:48:37] Speaker C: No. Yeah. Trying to. Trying. While being very British, trying to insist that it's just because they want to punch their face in. [00:48:47] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:48:47] Speaker C: Like, me thinks that thou. Thou doth protest too much. [00:48:51] Speaker A: I think they're not protesting enough. Like, you gotta really try. Stop wearing the Union Jack on shit. [00:48:57] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:48:58] Speaker A: Go back to being mods. Like, that was fine. That was, like, a fine reference to. [00:49:02] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:49:02] Speaker A: British culture. Yeah. [00:49:04] Speaker B: Let's like, Jamie, like, that's what it started as. And then they just. Like, we. No one knows what that is. Make it the obvious thing. [00:49:13] Speaker A: Yeah, they should have let. Yeah. Jamie Hayter was doing it and Windsor had her own thing. But, like, Jamie should let Alex raid her. Her closet and be like, let's match. It's like, hey, girl, let's match. Let's match. That's what they should do. They shouldn't be like, yeah, bruh. The brawling broads. [00:49:32] Speaker C: The brawling broads. [00:49:37] Speaker A: Hey. This next match, Continental Challenge cup quarterfinals. Jay White versus Jon Moxley. Jay White gets his wish. And second straight grudge match for him in the tournament. [00:49:50] Speaker C: I want to read. I will read you right now, my first note of the. Of the. My notes here. And then at the end of this, I will read you my last note. The first note is zero way Joe wins this. [00:50:04] Speaker B: Yeah, no, this. [00:50:07] Speaker A: Basically, I was. I was disappointed because, yeah, I was like, oh, man. Because I. I thought it's like, who. Who is this for? Look at the line. I was like, who's. Who? Like, what is the. What's the end result going to be for Wembley? It's like, it's got to be Jay White because he's a big deal. And, you know, why wouldn't Jay White get, like a big match at Wembley? Apparently not. That said, this. This match. This match kind of kicked ass. [00:50:36] Speaker B: I was gonna say, as far as. Who's this for? [00:50:38] Speaker C: Me? Yeah. [00:50:41] Speaker B: Yeah, The Sickos. The sick. Like, I. Yeah, like who? [00:50:45] Speaker A: Like, the four in the fans. It's like, who. [00:50:47] Speaker B: Who. [00:50:47] Speaker A: Like, who is this going to elevate in the company? [00:50:50] Speaker B: Yeah. And. Yeah, yeah. [00:50:53] Speaker C: Me gritting my te. I just laughing because I'm gritting my teeth about watching this and then me eagerly watching it for a second time later this afternoon before. [00:51:07] Speaker B: I watched this twice. [00:51:08] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:51:08] Speaker B: Because I had a bunch of go down last night and I was not paying attention. So I was like, I have to watch this again. [00:51:16] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:51:16] Speaker B: And, yeah, I'm happy I did. Very glad I did. [00:51:21] Speaker A: See, like, this was like the actual. This is the kind of grudge match that I believed in more than the Dave Finley thing because Jay got hurt by Mox. And Jay was like one of the few AEW guys who was actually standing up to the Death Riders last year before he got hurt. So it's like, yeah, he. He wants a piece of Mocks and he had a piece of Mox and he didn't win. Spoilers. [00:51:48] Speaker C: So correct me if I'm wrong, but the commentary did not mention any of that for this match. [00:51:56] Speaker A: Well, you know, they are terrible. I don't know why they didn't mention it because, like, even Jay was just like, I want. Like, I want Mox. Like, he. He beat Dave Finley's. Like, I hope I get Mox in the next round. Like, give me that, dude. I wanna. I wanna beat that dude. [00:52:18] Speaker C: Yeah, I would have been more into this if they would have been like, yeah. So Mox was the one to put Jay out And like, and there's this long feuding grudge match between. Yeah. But James does mention it. Sorry. When he came back where he's like, you wanted me to save you from the Death Riders. And now somebody's. Everybody's all on board. And so. [00:52:38] Speaker A: Yeah, anyways. Yep. So they, they grapple to start. Jay actually wins, like, the test of strength. And they go back and forth in the commercial and like, Jay's actually, Jay actually dominates most of the match. And they, they can't stop talking about how he's a counter wrestler, how he counters the counters of a counter. On the counter, under the counter, over the counter. [00:53:05] Speaker B: It wasn't him. Yeah, sorry. I'm sorry. I went, my brain went shaggy because he kept talking about Connors and I just heard something about on a counter and how it wasn't me. Thank you. We're millennials. Very sleepy. Millennial. Yeah, yeah. No, he dragon choked me on the counter. Wasn't me. Yeah. And then like. Yeah, so I'm so sorry to, to Gen Z, who might know what. Not know what's going on there. Don't worry about it. Just don't even. You don't want to know. [00:53:41] Speaker C: Gen Z listens to us. [00:53:43] Speaker A: Good lord, I hope not. [00:53:47] Speaker B: We don't. Yeah. [00:53:50] Speaker A: I prefer to think of our listeners as like a, like a blob. Kind of like the end of Akira. [00:54:00] Speaker B: Like my bike gang that. Oh, I should tell y'. [00:54:02] Speaker A: All. [00:54:04] Speaker B: Well, no, me and my friends are starting a bike king called the Blobs. Bisexual lesbians on bikes. [00:54:10] Speaker C: Oh, nice, nice. [00:54:11] Speaker B: Yeah, it doesn't rearing as well as dykes on bikes, but you know, like, and it's still, you know, that rhymes. It's like, but we got blobs. [00:54:23] Speaker A: Is it a reference to Akira or. [00:54:25] Speaker B: No, no, no, it's a, it's a reference to the fact that, that we're extremely sapphic. But also some men could get it. Very few. [00:54:34] Speaker A: I see. Yeah. Okay. [00:54:36] Speaker C: You can get like a day pass. Special event pass. [00:54:40] Speaker A: Sorry, Special event pass. [00:54:43] Speaker B: I've said it before, I'll say it again. Everyone insist. Men, you better be able to take a bump and cut a promo or be murder hobo. [00:54:54] Speaker A: I, I, I would, I would give that day pass to Jay White because he is, after all, King Switch. [00:55:01] Speaker B: Hey, he's, he is. [00:55:05] Speaker C: And also he's a good looking man. [00:55:07] Speaker B: He's got pervert in his name. [00:55:08] Speaker A: Yeah, he probably. [00:55:10] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:55:11] Speaker A: Knows how. [00:55:11] Speaker B: I don't care much for a knife, but you know. Pervert. Yeah. [00:55:16] Speaker A: I do like the New Zealand accent. Like The Kiwi. He's a. He's heavy. Kiwi accent. Goddamn. Yeah, I call him a Kiwi in my notes, too. It's like, I hope that's not too offensive, because he's over. I don't know. [00:55:42] Speaker B: I'll allow it. I'm allowed. That's amazing. [00:55:47] Speaker A: Jay's got, like. I said, Jay's. Jay kind of has, like, the advantage. He's, like, really just kind of pushing mocks and mocks. Doesn't really have a lot of responses. He gets a good hit in every now and then, and they both go down with clotheslines, like. But, like, Jay is just, like, you know, ducking and weaving, throwing punches, hitting ddts. Crowd is going nuts for the whole thing, too, by the way. [00:56:13] Speaker C: There's a lot of back and forth name chanting, which is great. I always love that. [00:56:17] Speaker A: Pride was into it. And, like, I don't blame him because I was into it by the end of it. Like, I thought Jay actually had a chance a couple times. [00:56:26] Speaker B: Few times there. There's this one really great overhead shot where he, like, reversed. I think he was reversing the choke or something and got in. Guys down where, like, I really thought that was almost it. [00:56:39] Speaker C: That was speedy. [00:56:43] Speaker A: Super close. They. Yeah, they. They're in the ring and, like, Jay's wants. His. Wants the Blade Runner. Max counters it, throws him to the ropes with a suplex. Oh, yeah. And Mox. Mox gets thrown with a suplex. He wants another throw. And Max blocks him. And then Jay's counter is. He basically works, like, a Fujiwara armbar style, like, brutalizer thing with, like, the Yuji Nagata salute. Because, yeah, he was. He was a New Japan guy. I thought that was. That was, like, a great false finish kind of thing because, like, crowd was just fully into it. Yeah. Like, even, like, boxes, Mox's arm is up enough that, like, he's actually, like, kind of bagging off at a couple points. [00:57:31] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:57:31] Speaker A: Which, again, smart wrestling. Mox is just like. Like, let me. Let me, you know, sell this guy. It's like, an actual threat to me now. [00:57:41] Speaker C: Jake gets, like, four suplexes and then slams him down with or Nage, which I got in near to, which I was just like, holy. [00:57:58] Speaker A: Yeah, that whole sequence with the cutthroat suplexes was really good because it starts. It starts with, like, Mox hits a baby, hits his baby face suicide, and then he, like, jams his shoulder back into the socket. [00:58:12] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:58:13] Speaker A: And he's like, all right, he's gonna. He's. He's Got Jay now. And then Jay says, like, hits him with, like, cutthroat suplex. Second one. Mox is just rag dolled. He gets the third. Mox tries to, like, you know, fighting spirit, and it just gets dropped with the flatliner. [00:58:34] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:58:35] Speaker A: And then, like, he works a bulldog choke. And then Jay just, like, gets up out of it. Then the fourth cutthroat, then the Uranagi. It's only two. Like, the crowd is unglued for this. They go. They go to the top rope. Jay. It's just like this gigantic superplex. Jay White lands like, the back of his neck, [00:59:03] Speaker C: which is heavily taped up. [00:59:06] Speaker B: Good. [00:59:08] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:09] Speaker A: Based K tape. [00:59:11] Speaker C: Yeah. Please hit here. [00:59:16] Speaker A: Mox is. [00:59:17] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:59:18] Speaker A: Headbutts. He keeps getting the Blade Runner counter. And then he finally hits it. And, like, Mox just rolls out of the ring. [00:59:28] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:59:28] Speaker A: Just like, he's like, I have the momentum to roll. Here I go. [00:59:32] Speaker B: Keep going. Yeah, Jay. [00:59:35] Speaker A: It's like Jay. Jay has to go grab him, shoves him back in the ring. And Mox manages, like, he can't get up, but he can get the. That gator roll choke. Yeah. [00:59:46] Speaker C: Which was great. [00:59:48] Speaker A: He turns it into the bully choke, and Jay fights back to his feet. Then Mox just kills him with a Death Rider. And Jay kicked out at 2. I was like. When he did that, I was like, oh, he's winning. Jay's winning. He kicked out of the Death Rider. Holy. And then Mox just grabs him. And Jay. Jay fought like a champ to stop the leg scissors, but once Mox got it in, he couldn't get out. And that's it. [01:00:18] Speaker C: In. [01:00:19] Speaker A: Open it up, open the door, jam it in. [01:00:24] Speaker B: Well, it's one of those. It's one of those things, too, where, like, some people be, like, I. I think it's one of those things I think MMA has done well for. For fake fighting is to have people realize, like, just how dangerous that is. Because in the 90s and when they're doing the. When the Rear Naked Choke, like, that becomes a rest hold, you know what I mean? You start to lose sense of the fact that you only need that on for a little while. And you kill someone. [01:00:55] Speaker C: Yeah. When you do it correct, they go out. [01:00:57] Speaker B: When you, like, when you actually do that to someone, they're out fast, and if you don't let go, they die. You know, Like, I. And I remember having that. That was another one of those things that Mick Foley blew my mind with when I was a kid explaining Mike wrestled. It's like, anyone will tell you, like, if you do that in a real fight, like, don't you. [01:01:19] Speaker C: You. [01:01:20] Speaker B: You only do, like. Like, I forget how he put it in his book, but it's like, you only do that in a real fight if you're, like, scared for your life. Because it's very easy to accidentally kill someone choking them like that. [01:01:31] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, so. [01:01:32] Speaker B: It's like. Yeah. So I like that he finishes people with that all the time because it makes it more. It just feels more real to me. It's not as silly as the. The six minute rear naked Choke, you know. [01:01:47] Speaker A: Right, right, right. Like, just to add on to that, like, that was the. The one final we were talking about. That entire thing is built. That whole match was built around a headline lock finish. [01:02:01] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:02:03] Speaker A: It was one with a headlock and it looked brutal. I'm just. [01:02:08] Speaker B: Wes. Yes. Let's bring it back. Like that should. That. There's no reason, you know, like, think of the Dragon Sleeper. Like, all that. It's like. [01:02:17] Speaker A: Yeah, like. [01:02:18] Speaker B: Like a guillotine choke. Like. Yeah, yeah. Those are MMA holes will kill somebody. Like, Hulk Hogan bought Richard Belzer a chateau in France that he, like, died in with the money he got from being knocked out from a. Like, just front chokehold. Like the. Like the basic little thing. He just held it on, cranked back and knocked him out on tv and he, like, bashed his head and it sued his ass. He should have done it again. Just sued him. Harder. Harder. [01:02:54] Speaker A: Do it again, bro. [01:02:56] Speaker B: Well, they're both dead. Hey, you're in the. The afterlife is real. Su. [01:03:00] Speaker C: There's no double jeopardy. [01:03:02] Speaker A: Hell. Hell. [01:03:03] Speaker B: Shadow Terry in. In heaven. Let's go. [01:03:08] Speaker C: Hell. So my last note for this match is. Damn, Jay. Okay. Me being midass about this guy and him just dropping this. And I was like, what the. Cuz I was thinking about what you think said last time, Erica, where you're just like, yeah. When he wants to put on his singles, like, banger performance a main event. [01:03:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [01:03:38] Speaker C: Holy. [01:03:39] Speaker A: Yeah, I remember. Even you put that in the chat. You're just like, oh. Oh, I get it. [01:03:46] Speaker B: I see the. Yeah, I see the vision now, Jy. [01:03:50] Speaker A: Yeah, right. [01:03:51] Speaker C: Okay, Okay. I was like, this dude just got walked by David Finley last week. What are you talking about? It's just like, what the. [01:04:04] Speaker A: If he had a bad. Yeah, if he'd had a bad match with Mox, that would have been, like, curtains for the guy, unfortunately. [01:04:12] Speaker C: Put him out with a pastor. [01:04:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, sorry. I'm sorry, Jay, but, like, go. Go be in the Trios division because you get you ain't got the singles for. You ain't got the singles chops right now. Hey, speaking of the trios division, they kind of do this thing where it looks like Mox is gonna, you know, shake Jay's hand at the end or. And like. But Jay is all like, yeah, I hate you, dude. I don't give a. About your sports honor. And then the dogs attack Jay out of nowhere, and Moxie just like, oh, whatever, bro. [01:04:47] Speaker B: Well, guess you should have shook my hand, dude. [01:04:49] Speaker A: That's. That's out of my hands. [01:04:53] Speaker C: That felt extraordinarily long too. I was like, why are they just kicking around the ring? Beat his ass or leave. Like, what are you doing? [01:05:02] Speaker A: Well, yeah, because they needed to wait for the conglomeration to come out and make the save. But then kindergarten ready Gabe Kidd makes his return from the G1 as well. Along with the question came. Back from the G1, Gabe. Kids, back from the G1. [01:05:19] Speaker B: I was on a vacation or. No, no, field trip. He was on field trip. [01:05:24] Speaker A: Yes, he's doing that. He's doing the towns. Yep. So dogs are back at full strength and they're gonna kill Jay. But Brodito and Hangman Paige hit the ring to make the save. So Paige gets on the mic tell, I forget who was wearing those boots. He's like, nice boots, dumbass. [01:05:43] Speaker C: Finley. [01:05:44] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, because Finley's boots were ridiculous. [01:05:52] Speaker B: Wild. Like, all of a sudden, there's just all these trios teams. [01:05:57] Speaker A: Yeah, it wouldn't. You know it. The Demand and the lethal swirl come out too. [01:06:03] Speaker B: Oh, no. All these trios teams. [01:06:06] Speaker A: Wow. See, a ricochet gets on the mic. [01:06:10] Speaker C: Lethal suck. Sorry. [01:06:12] Speaker A: Yeah, Jay Lethal does suck that, man. Yep. God, J, I always forget that he's there. [01:06:22] Speaker B: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me the guy who got over by mimicking two of the biggest pieces of. In the history of the industry was a piece of. I'm. Get the out of here. [01:06:41] Speaker C: Go with what? You know? [01:06:43] Speaker A: I mean, there also was a. There also was a point where he was a very good wrestler, but then there was some. He got speaking outed. And then somehow some. Yeah, somehow he did not. He did not go down in that. [01:06:58] Speaker B: He got the Darby treatment of trust me, bro. And Tony Khan was like, yeah, not [01:07:03] Speaker A: even Tony Khan, because this was. [01:07:06] Speaker B: No. [01:07:06] Speaker A: Yeah, it was like Ring of Honor. Ring of Honor. Yeah. Ring of Honor was separate from AEW when this happened. And like, they were like, well, he's like. He's like our main eventer. We cannot get rid of him. [01:07:19] Speaker B: Yeah, that's no, yeah, that. [01:07:21] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [01:07:23] Speaker C: It's very wrestling. [01:07:24] Speaker A: It's just like, Jay Lethal. But yes, they. [01:07:29] Speaker C: God damn right. [01:07:30] Speaker A: Yeah. So they're all out and Hangman's on the mic and he says he'll get to Ricochet in a minute, but that the. The trio's champions refused to miss Wembley and says that if anybody wants a title shot at the Trios for the Trio's belts, then meet us under the Wembley Arch at dusk, because your champions will be waiting. Come on. I love that. For all, like, the goofiness of this whole thing and, like, you know, trio's titles being like, whatever. [01:07:59] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:08:00] Speaker A: It's like Paige really just said, like, he called out the entire. Like, any three guys who want to [01:08:06] Speaker B: make a team the second he did that. Whatever. What's the wrestling equivalent of, you know, like, when a. You see, like. Like, AOC broke up with her, like, her boyfriend, like, dumped her suddenly, and all this shit's go, yeah, no. Yeah. And all this shit's going on and you see him, like, go, like, they're making. If you see a politician, like, make an appearance at this place, that they've never really made an appearance before, but it's important historically, for whatever reason. And then some important talking head person would be like, they're running. You know what I mean? And be like, oh, this is the thing. This is the thing that tells us that they were gonna run for president. He's like, any three guys wanted show up and. And fight me, Hangman, Adam Page and these guys for the belts. I was like, cool, so Swerve and the New Day are gonna show up. [01:09:08] Speaker A: Well, hey now, Ilya Dragon off could find some guys and show up. [01:09:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Okay. [01:09:16] Speaker A: All of a sudden, that was. That was news that broke today. [01:09:20] Speaker B: Yeah, but he's got a. They usually have, like, 90 days where they have to pretend that other wrestling. [01:09:25] Speaker A: No, his contract. His contracts expired, was my understanding. Like, he, like, it's done, [01:09:32] Speaker B: so he could be. All right, well. But they gotta be careful. [01:09:37] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. They gotta make sure he's. He. He'll be in Andrade and not Miro. [01:09:47] Speaker B: Well, remember they brought Andrade in and then Vince is like, don't you. Or whoever is like, you can't. [01:09:54] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, that's right. That's right. [01:09:56] Speaker B: And then they had to pull him off for a couple months. It's like, he's like, about how, you [01:10:00] Speaker A: know, how, you know everybody's sick of how, you know. [01:10:06] Speaker B: Yep, it's happening. [01:10:07] Speaker C: Going anywhere. [01:10:08] Speaker B: No, it's happening. I get. I Think two weeks ago I gave it what, two, three weeks. It's. It. We are well on our way to what territory? I'm saying [01:10:19] Speaker A: I think we're there. I think we're there. Yeah. [01:10:25] Speaker B: If you will. [01:10:27] Speaker A: Renee's in the back with Maya World and she says that no one thought she would win the title or retain it. And then Willow just shows up in the middle of a promo and says, like, hey, by the way, I promise I'd give you a title shot if you had my back. So yet my world is getting a women's world title match on Collision this week. And she was going to have a response to Mercedes, but you know, she's gonna save it just in case. Because in case she doesn't win and doesn't face her at Wembley. [01:11:01] Speaker C: Yeah. Maya stops her. He's just like, you know, I could be facing Monet. [01:11:06] Speaker A: I, I kind of like, could be. I kind of liked that bit. But then they still had the sit down interview with Mercedes later on in the show. [01:11:19] Speaker C: Yeah, they. Yeah, like you were. [01:11:23] Speaker A: Whatever, like, whatever. [01:11:25] Speaker B: Like weird. There was a lot of weird pacing stuff on this show. This felt like, I don't know, my favorite Dynamite. I'm gonna be so real. [01:11:36] Speaker A: I'm. I wasn't my favorite Dynamite, but I really liked it despite all like the kind of craziness because it had the, the quote unquote car crash aspect to it. Like, it felt just like was happening. So. [01:11:53] Speaker B: Yeah, but I'm also in this place where like, shit's happening. I don't like it. [01:11:59] Speaker A: Honestly, most of it I liked, if I'm being honest with it. It was really, it was really just the Osprey Omega stuff was just. [01:12:08] Speaker B: Yeah, the Kenny Omega of it all is really sticking in my craws. Like, what are you doing, dude? Like you doing, bro? [01:12:20] Speaker A: Kenny's doing his best. That's what he's doing. [01:12:24] Speaker C: Quick question, because I didn't get to ask during that segment, but what was Kenny's first run with the belt like? Because he, what stuck out to me was he. This was his second time around and he wanted to do it his way. But this very much feels to me like if he was under the sway of Don Callis, like a screwdriver. [01:12:48] Speaker A: Because, like this is different, but it's very similar in that like he's, he's not, he's not going to use Don Callis. Like, like this Kenny Omega is Kenny Omega by himself. This is like, right, this is, this is new Japan elite Kenny Omega, dark, swaggy, douchebag. [01:13:11] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:13:13] Speaker C: Pain maker. But like not quite as overtly cringe. [01:13:18] Speaker A: No, I wouldn't even say it. Like, it's like pain maker. It's, it's just like, it's, it's. Oh, it's like it's best bout machine. It's like the guy who's, who knows that he's going to go out there and have the best match on the card and he's going to dare you to try and outdo him in it. Okay. It's the guy that wrestled Okada to two 60 minute draws before he finally. [01:13:42] Speaker C: Yeah, okay. [01:13:43] Speaker A: And was. [01:13:44] Speaker C: Okay. [01:13:45] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:13:46] Speaker C: So he's like kind of channeling a self of his. [01:13:50] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. And, and that's what I mean. I'm not, I don't think that, that Kenny isn't authentic. That's why it's the switch that just doesn't make sense. [01:14:04] Speaker C: It's just one nice Kenny. And then you get mean. [01:14:09] Speaker A: Story wise, it doesn't make sense. Story wise, it doesn't make sense. But I love this version of Kenny too. So. Yeah, it's like, yes, keep burying Bill and Bird legs on the, on the bike, please, please. [01:14:29] Speaker B: I've been loving that. I do. [01:14:31] Speaker A: Yeah. Speaking of, of Mike burials, John Cruz is here. [01:14:36] Speaker B: Yes. [01:14:39] Speaker A: And in the, in the, in his capacity as MJF Spanish translator, he is here to read a proclamation and he pulls out from his pocket a fucking scroll to let us know in Spanish and in English that Andrade will never be the real world's champion. And then says that Cruz himself is also better than Andrade and has more guapo. [01:15:07] Speaker B: Oh, God. Jesus. That's not how that, that's not how Spanish works. But also I do think I agree with whoever it was on Blue Skies said if you put Andrade and John Cruz next to each other in a ring, they'd both be very guapo. [01:15:24] Speaker A: So he talks and says, and then he says, but Andrade isn't here and he's lucky that he isn't because Cruz would beat his ass if he was. And then. Oh, well, just look at that. Andrade actually is here and we have a match. Andrade comes out. [01:15:40] Speaker B: That's not a match, that's a squash. [01:15:44] Speaker A: He just takes Cruz's head off with Dios de los Muertos. Hits the dm. That's it. It's like it's not even a minute long. [01:15:51] Speaker C: He the, the announcement of this is a now sanctioned match for one fall, like was longer than the match itself. [01:16:02] Speaker A: Andrade cuts a promo and he says, there's audio. Like. And then MJF starts talking because they start playing the video early. [01:16:11] Speaker C: And I freaked the out. I was like, yep, everybody heard that, right? [01:16:16] Speaker A: Yep, I heard this. And then he just shouts out like on the mic. Like, there's no way this was intended. He just shouts out on the mic, come on, fake champion. It's like, oh, you said the word on the TV. So then they finally play MJF's video at the correct. They hit the correct moment. He's in a hot tub in Long island, which his. His mansion in Long island is not far from Taz's, apparently. [01:16:50] Speaker C: Nice. There's like a heel al sack. You know there is. [01:16:56] Speaker B: Oh, that's awesome. [01:17:00] Speaker C: There's like a. [01:17:00] Speaker A: To. [01:17:08] Speaker C: Base Valley. [01:17:09] Speaker B: I think I like that valley. Tweener Hill. And the heel ck is some wild. Hey, no, because that makes sense because I've seen. [01:17:23] Speaker C: I guess might. That might be. [01:17:24] Speaker B: Anyway, I seen. I see. I seen sonny Ono's mansion, McMansion and like. Yeah, yeah. [01:17:36] Speaker A: Wasn't it like Hogan's whole crew had like a neighborhood. [01:17:39] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. In St. Petersburg or whatever. Florida. Yeah. No, they had a whole little ranch. [01:17:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:17:50] Speaker B: Like Gun club Road or whatever. It was holy. [01:17:53] Speaker A: Like, if I like. Even if I liked hanging out with Brian Knobbs on the road, if I had to go home and Brian Knobbs is next door. [01:18:03] Speaker B: He makes omelets. [01:18:04] Speaker C: Bro. [01:18:04] Speaker B: You made the best. [01:18:06] Speaker A: I would absolutely give myself a heart attack. Yeah. I would give myself a heart and die. [01:18:17] Speaker B: I would. I would also Bubba the love sponge and have a heart. [01:18:21] Speaker A: Oh, God. That's right. Because Hogan was his wife. [01:18:26] Speaker B: That's how he got caught being racist. Because he's like, wow, I just had this post. Not clarity. I'm just gonna say some racist. [01:18:33] Speaker C: Oh, my God. [01:18:35] Speaker B: I hope your cuck husband isn't recording this for any cuck reasons. [01:18:43] Speaker A: You shouldn't listen. I'm even trying. [01:18:50] Speaker B: Who's listening, brother? [01:18:54] Speaker A: Like, was the point that Hogan, his wife was part of Bubba's fetish and he was just like, I'm into it. Or were they just. Okay. [01:19:07] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:19:07] Speaker A: Because I couldn't remember. [01:19:08] Speaker B: No, this is straight up. I'm not. I'm not just called. I'm not calling legal. You're such a cook. He was a cook. He was being cucked. Yeah, he was like. He was like, terry Hulk Hogan, I am a cuckold. Please, my wife [01:19:25] Speaker C: racist statements. [01:19:26] Speaker A: Yeah, [01:19:29] Speaker B: I don't think I can do that with you, like, in the chair, in the room, brother. I don't know if I could do that it's like, I do Terry Hulk Hogan. I have a camera [01:19:43] Speaker A: to catch the racer. Racism. [01:19:45] Speaker B: Yeah, exactly. He thought he turned it off. [01:19:49] Speaker C: Like, why would you be like, I am cool with being recorded, but out of, like, sense of self and preservation. Like, is it that much. [01:20:01] Speaker A: You're a Hulk Hogan. Why would you do that? Because somebody just really. [01:20:07] Speaker B: I just really trust Bubba. [01:20:10] Speaker A: Never betray me. [01:20:12] Speaker B: Bubba's like my best friend, bro. After. After Dobbs in the omelets and. And you know, brother Brude, brother. Big boot and big bad booty. Oh, my God. Okay, I need to refill my water after that. Jesus Christ. [01:20:35] Speaker A: Wow. [01:20:37] Speaker B: After that. [01:20:38] Speaker A: Yeah. Seriously. I can't believe he just spent time talking about Hulk Hogan. Bub of the love Sponge. Literally. Yep. Andrada gives John Cruz another DM and then asks him how he knows. I. I took this time. I took this time to let everyone in the my notes know, which means everybody listening to this now knows. I was very drunk at this point of the show. [01:21:08] Speaker C: Sure. Good. Yeah. [01:21:11] Speaker A: It was really a nice beer. It was a brownie, chocolate swirl ice cream beer. It was very nice. It's good. Good. [01:21:21] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:21:21] Speaker A: Renee's with Mercedes and Willow and they're doing this whole like, picture in picture thing because, like, it's like they Brady Bunched them because Willow and Mercedes can't be in the same room. [01:21:33] Speaker C: Too volatile. [01:21:38] Speaker A: Willow says Mercedes can't take her smile. And Mercedes just calls her a dumb. You'll never take my smile. Yeah, you'll never take my smile. Because she's jealous and the fans are behind her despite her not being the perfect cookie cutter wrestling star. And they're behind her because she's just Willow and they connect with her and all of. And all of that can't win a title for Mercedes. And Mercedes points out that Willow was there and smiled at her at all of her worst moments in Mercedes career. And she sees Willow as the bully in all this. Keep smiling, Willow. You have just 11 days, you dumb. So then they're just like, oh, you, I'm a dumb. You're a dumb. So they take out their earrings and they go find each other to fight. Yes, I love it [01:22:30] Speaker B: together. [01:22:31] Speaker A: Let's do be dumb together. So, yeah, they brawl to the ringside and the officials try and separate them and that ends poorly. Willow just starts beating the out of Mercedes and they keep throwing like big bombs at each other and eventually, like, officials are going flying left and right. And then eventually they just like carry off Mercedes and she's like flipping her off, getting dragged away. You Willow, you, Willa. [01:22:58] Speaker C: Yeah, I loved it. That was great. It was very, very iconic, the two champions going at each other. I'm. I'm. I'm so stoked for all in with them. [01:23:10] Speaker A: So this is. Yeah, this is the match I'm looking forward to the most, to be honest. [01:23:13] Speaker C: Yeah, [01:23:15] Speaker A: this is. This is the world title match that I think is. Got some real intrigue to it because either. Either woman could win. [01:23:25] Speaker C: Yeah. And I love that. That's what I want. [01:23:29] Speaker A: In the back. Prince, Nana, Swerve. Strickland. Did they hear Hangman say anyone can challenge for the trio's titles? Don't say it if you don't mean it. [01:23:41] Speaker C: God, he's so good. [01:23:42] Speaker A: He's really good. They're definitely getting due day for that, aren't they? [01:23:48] Speaker C: I am. Fingers crossed. But, yeah, I think so. [01:23:52] Speaker A: I know there was people that were just like, how do you work a surprise new day appearance into this? And, like, that's how you do it. You have, like, an open challenge for [01:24:02] Speaker C: the truth, for how you do it. Yeah. Oh, man. And then you give it to them. [01:24:08] Speaker A: Cool. Hey. Continental Challenge Cup. Nigel McGinnis versus Hechicero. Now, Hampter, please pay attention. [01:24:20] Speaker C: Yes, yes, I'm paying attention. [01:24:22] Speaker A: The part that I want you to pay attention to was Hatchy Sarah. [01:24:25] Speaker C: Oh, yeah. [01:24:26] Speaker A: Made his entrance. Completely normal fire. [01:24:29] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:24:29] Speaker B: Yep. [01:24:30] Speaker A: No poison. Nacho cheese. [01:24:32] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [01:24:34] Speaker A: No, no. Audience death. [01:24:36] Speaker B: Yeah. No one died. I was gonna say that was one of my favorite parts, and I didn't have to pay out a single lawsuit. Do you have any idea how profitable this podcast would be if it weren't for the entrances? [01:24:53] Speaker A: I'm saying, [01:24:56] Speaker C: just hearing that you're trying to stifle my creativity and that, heck, Chisero is quite honestly a coward. [01:25:07] Speaker A: Well, he certainly wrestled like a coward because he couldn't beat a guy with a broken ankle. He couldn't. [01:25:14] Speaker C: He certainly couldn't because. [01:25:18] Speaker A: Yes. Nigel. Nigel. Nigel advanced six matches. Yep. This year he beat Shibata to get to the quarterfinals. [01:25:30] Speaker B: And he apparently was a pretty sweet match. Yeah, he. [01:25:33] Speaker C: He. [01:25:33] Speaker A: He. I. I have not seen it, but the way they described it was he. He avoided the. The PK from Shibata with his foot. And that's why it's all up. [01:25:44] Speaker B: Yep. [01:25:45] Speaker A: I don't know why you would think that's a good idea unless you were just desperate. [01:25:52] Speaker C: Probably. [01:25:53] Speaker A: Probably was. [01:25:55] Speaker B: It's pro. It's probably. He rolled his ankle in the back on his way to the match and was like, this is gonna get worse. Can we do something in the match that I have to sell, that I hear that I could sell through the rest of this stupid cup so that I can get to Wembley so that Tony feels good about me being in the Brit in the British thing, because I guess we're the Fed now. [01:26:22] Speaker A: See? Like, I guess he could still lose, I suppose. [01:26:26] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:26:26] Speaker A: I mean, like, I. I kind of [01:26:28] Speaker B: make me feel any better? No, the match was great. It was. But all that, like, don't get. Don't get me wrong. It was Nigel McGinnis versus Heterocero. Hard. Okay. In multiple languages. Okay. Yeah. Both Spanish and whatever the Nigel speaks. I don't. [01:26:51] Speaker A: British. [01:26:52] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah. No, I don't. I. It all just sounds like I don't understand any of it. I'm so sorry. I'm so. I'm. I'm alienating a third of our conglomeration right now, and I'm so sorry. Girlies, gender neutral. I am kidding. And I love you. I love you so much. Chance Jan. Sports in the mail. And we're gonna get some gold in there. Okay. Whatever the podcast equivalent of gold. [01:27:26] Speaker A: I owe you gold. Pissing. [01:27:31] Speaker B: We're in it. We're. We're gonna get these hampter. Hampter intros under. Under control. We're gonna start turn up profit. [01:27:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:27:41] Speaker B: I'm gonna get us those replica belts. Girls. Gender neutral. Who. I. Guys, we're doing it. [01:27:46] Speaker C: I just need to find a way to make the deaths more profit, so we should. [01:27:52] Speaker B: God damn it. Well, no, we can't be having this conversation on Mike, all right? Just shut up and call the podcast. Call the pod. [01:28:02] Speaker A: Don't tell me what to do. We're gonna kill so many people. [01:28:10] Speaker C: I'm getting the wood chipper. [01:28:14] Speaker B: Piper, do with all that. Whatever you will. This is not my problem this week, so. [01:28:24] Speaker A: Jesus, I. I enjoy the aspect of this where, like, if this is if. Like, if they're really gonna try and push Nigel through to the finals, I like the idea of it's being, like, the grizzled veteran. One last, like, shootout kind of thing. Every single match is, like, his final, possibly his last. He's gonna die just getting more and more up. So, like, they do this thing where, like, Hachiusera is, like, obviously just gonna go after his ankle. So he does. And Nigel goes after his mask. [01:28:58] Speaker B: Yep. [01:29:00] Speaker A: Yeah. He says, like, if you go after my ankle, I'll go after your mask. It's like, that would be. I like the idea of, like, all right, like. Like old gunfighter using anything he can to get an advantage, but then he just doesn't go after Hachi Sarah's mask. And het she said, keeps going after his ankle. And, like, I really wanted that to play into the finish, but it didn't. [01:29:20] Speaker B: Yeah, that could have got. That would have been really great if they had done more with it, but it was still fun. [01:29:25] Speaker C: And she was just like, well, what if I abuse your ankle and, you know, and I'm not within reach of you? What are you gonna do then, Craggly old man. [01:29:34] Speaker A: Yeah, because he gets, like, in the [01:29:36] Speaker C: ropes a couple times. [01:29:38] Speaker A: Yeah, he did. He taught. He tossed. The reason I don't think Nigel's ankle is actually is they would not allow Hachi Sarah to throw the old guy into the ropes to hit, like, you know, ankle first. [01:29:52] Speaker B: Yeah. If it was that. [01:29:54] Speaker A: Yeah, they just wouldn't. [01:29:55] Speaker B: Yeah, like, for a Steel cables, kids. [01:29:59] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:30:01] Speaker A: Yeah. High tension steel cables. I wrote my notes that I needed to pee. Good for me. Well done, Erica. [01:30:09] Speaker B: I hope you did. I hope it was a good one. [01:30:12] Speaker A: Probably not, because there was a while before there was a commercial break. [01:30:18] Speaker B: And there's the body horror part of the podcast. [01:30:23] Speaker A: My kidney stones have kidney stones. They're named Matt and Nick. [01:30:35] Speaker C: If I. If I ever get any stands, I'm giving them after all the wrestlers. [01:30:39] Speaker A: Like, I was. I was trying to remember what their names were in t name, but I can't think of Erica. You. [01:30:46] Speaker B: You look like you're having a really. You look like you're having a really rough time today. It's like there's a super kick party in my kidneys right now. Blood and tassels and glitter and [01:31:02] Speaker C: every. [01:31:05] Speaker A: Every time I piss, I just hear Kansas. Oh, man, that's up, up. [01:31:18] Speaker B: I'm finding sneakers in the bowl here. [01:31:21] Speaker A: All right. Oh, my God. [01:31:32] Speaker C: I don't know which one is which. [01:31:34] Speaker A: I don't know what to do. I don't know what to do. Yeah, I can't tell that. They're just look the same to me. I don't know what to tell you. Yeah, they. They do some chops and then Hatchie changes levels and he keeps trying to attack the ankle. And Nigel is able to transition very nicely into the Benoit mentioned. [01:32:03] Speaker B: They're not gonna let him back in the UK now if he transitioned. [01:32:07] Speaker A: Oh, no, he just. Well, he just can't pee anymore. And then he'll get kidney. [01:32:11] Speaker B: Yeah. How he's gonna get kidney stones? His kidney stones? Yeah, yeah, yeah. The live in his kidneys or no. [01:32:21] Speaker C: What? [01:32:21] Speaker B: Oh, why it be funny if his kidneys were his kidney stones were fdr. [01:32:26] Speaker A: No, I think they should be. [01:32:28] Speaker C: I think that like any. They can be any wrestler that has, you know, anytime. Awful. That you hate or just. [01:32:35] Speaker A: Yeah, I just say. If you say that they're your kidneys. [01:32:39] Speaker B: It's someone's kidneys. Yeah, that makes me giggle now. Hey, look, we found the body. [01:32:51] Speaker C: In your urethra. [01:32:55] Speaker A: That's the body horror. [01:32:59] Speaker B: Meanwhile, like, yeah, you got like a. You got like a grandpa in the back. It's like I remember when the heart foundation was in my kidneys. [01:33:13] Speaker C: Bulldog [01:33:17] Speaker B: the apple died. I just go into town. [01:33:20] Speaker A: Ah, finally the Twin Towers are gone. [01:33:27] Speaker B: I passed the last night. It was awful. [01:33:29] Speaker A: We eliminated the eliminators. They sure were impact players passing through my bladder. [01:33:47] Speaker B: Oh, no. [01:33:53] Speaker A: Hardy Boys. I hardly know him. [01:33:57] Speaker C: I hardly passed them. [01:33:59] Speaker B: Oh, God. I tell you, I was up for four hours. It sounded like a Motor City Machine gun. [01:34:06] Speaker A: It was definitely a Holy Demon Army. [01:34:13] Speaker C: Legion of Doom. They came back. Have you ever had a kidney stone that's more up than you are? [01:34:23] Speaker A: Yeah, I called them the Nasty Boys, but the omelets were great. George C. Scott. This is so fun. I'm just gonna call the damn pod. [01:34:39] Speaker B: No, no. Yeah. No, no, because I'm sitting here going, minnesota Wrecking Crew. I don't know. Call the damn. Just start naming. [01:34:51] Speaker A: Oh, my God. That's disgusting. [01:34:54] Speaker B: What is the matter with us? [01:34:57] Speaker C: I don't know. So hold on though, because there was a sign in the crowd tonight that said Smoky Mountain wrestling sucked. [01:35:12] Speaker A: Maybe they just really don't like Cornette. [01:35:16] Speaker B: I mean, that's 1985. [01:35:18] Speaker C: Called like. [01:35:19] Speaker B: What are you doing? [01:35:22] Speaker A: I object to the booking of New jack [01:35:27] Speaker C: from. [01:35:28] Speaker A: From 40 years ago. [01:35:31] Speaker B: I know what's going. I. I know. Oh, my God. [01:35:50] Speaker A: It's just to. For all listeners. Nobody can see this. We have just devolved into just tackling. That's what that radio silence was. Everyone was just laughing, stopping. [01:36:04] Speaker C: Just. [01:36:05] Speaker B: I can't. [01:36:07] Speaker A: I'm gonna call the damn pod. Excuse me. [01:36:09] Speaker B: He is just. It's been. The problem is, is that it's been two hours and we're all losing our goddamn mind. [01:36:17] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. It is almost 10 now. Yeah. So, yeah, Hechizera just beats the out of him. During the commercial, Nigel tries fighting back with some strikes. And then Hachi Sarah is like, hey, yeah, come on, let's. Let's do strikes. And then just kicks him in the leg. There's one guy in the crowd who really hates this match and I hate him. So I hope he had a bad time on The Baltimore transit going home. [01:36:43] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:36:44] Speaker A: Maybe your trolley was delayed. You can't. Mad scientist bomb. [01:36:49] Speaker B: Maybe there was a mass transit incident. Piggies. [01:36:59] Speaker A: He said he wanted to bleed, so I cut him. And he bled a lot. I love hearing new Jack talk about the mass transit thing. He's like. He said he wanted me to cut him. He said he was 18. He wanted to. He wanted color, so I cut him a lot. He did nothing wrong. He did what he was paid to do. [01:37:21] Speaker C: I didn't know he was. [01:37:23] Speaker A: I didn't know he was a child. [01:37:28] Speaker B: I'm sorry. I thought I was Assaulting a grown [01:37:31] Speaker C: man, killing a doll. They just. Wow. Okay. [01:37:36] Speaker A: Mass transit was a big guy. And I don't mean that he was wide. I mean like that kid was tall for 17. Yeah. [01:37:44] Speaker B: Okay, I'm just. I'm gonna mute myself and let you call the podcast. I can't be trusted not to just keep riffing on this. [01:37:56] Speaker C: God. [01:37:57] Speaker A: Yeah. We killed her. She's dead. Speaking of dead, we lost Nigel. Nigel's trying the Tower of London. Hatchie breaks it up and get a choke. But then Nigel turns into a London dungeon and then just hashi. Sir. Just goes right back to the ankle. Yep. [01:38:17] Speaker C: Or London themed. Sorry, go ahead. [01:38:19] Speaker A: Well, yeah, he's. He was British and he was like the only major British wrestler on the Indies. So he was like, it's the London Dungeon. It's the Tower of London. It's the Pendulum. Well, Pendulum Lariat had nothing to do with London, I suppose. And his name is McGinnis. [01:38:36] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:38:37] Speaker A: So I was like, are you Scottish or Irish or English? What the are you? [01:38:42] Speaker C: Just a lot of that. [01:38:45] Speaker A: Just picked like a bunch of like name sounding things from up there. Nigel, Mickey. Yeah. [01:38:52] Speaker C: Yeah. It's the most UK name ever. Get up all the scepter dials in there. [01:38:58] Speaker A: Yeah. So, yep. Nigel's kind of like. He's kind of. I get. He's like kind of smiling and grinning. He's like, do you have a plan or something, buddy? So then Hatchy Sarah misses a knee. It gets. Gets kneed in the face like really hard. And then he misses a leg lariat and bounces off the ropes. And Nigel gets in the guillotine with the body scissors. And Hachizara goes out and Nigel wins. [01:39:22] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:39:24] Speaker A: Damn cool. So, yeah, Nigel. Nigel will be wrestling next week and I think they're in Glasgow. I think they're in Scotland next week. They will be over. Yeah, he's. We don't know where he's from because you're Just talking about Mick Guinness. Like, what. Where are you from? [01:39:43] Speaker B: I heard a little bit of it and I think I. My, my thought is that he is. He is an united kingdom unto himself. [01:39:50] Speaker A: He is. And united Kingdom. Kingdom. [01:39:57] Speaker B: There's a. There's a way Welsh something in. In there, Gwen. [01:40:03] Speaker A: Darby Allen does a school shooter manifesto for his match with Kevin Knight. Not to kill Sting and his adult sons because they were cool to him in freshman chem. Something, something, Wembley. I don't care. Yeah, Kevin Knight. All right. So like, I thought this was the main event. Kevin Knight is coming out. I was like, why is this the main event? Wasn't Kenny supposed to wrestle out of the ring? And he says he's tired of everybody being mean. I'm. Well, I said I'm tired of people being mean to Tony. He's just doing his job. He's not done anything wrong. So everyone's been questioning the Jet. He's tired of it. He's not a young man anymore, a young boy anymore. He's a grown ass man. He's the greatest TNT champion of all time. So, Darby, bring your ass out here and let's talk face to face. So Darby comes out and I just write sign like, night. Night is just like, hey, you know, show me that you don't have any weapons. So diary, like, shows he doesn't have any weapons. And then the stage blows up. [01:41:08] Speaker B: And I applauded. [01:41:13] Speaker A: So callback because Darby kept blowing night up, now Knight blew him up. So then he brings Darby down to the ring, beats his ass some more, puts it. [01:41:21] Speaker B: And again, we're supposed to boo this. Brilliant, man. [01:41:25] Speaker A: This is just good adventuring. He, he did coast to coast pillmanizing on Darby's neck and it was so great. [01:41:35] Speaker B: I can't, I can't. It's like, it's like Cho at first, like in my local promotion, like, yeah, I know Joe is technically a heel. I will not boo them. I can't. I can't do it. They're too good. Kevin Knight just tried to, to like end the career and possibly the life of Darby Allen twice in like a five minute segment. [01:42:02] Speaker A: Yeah, he's a hero. [01:42:05] Speaker B: That's hot. That's hero. That's good stuff. Yeah. Like, he's literally. We. Darby Allen has been compromised. [01:42:21] Speaker A: Unfortunately. He is still alive, but. Oh, sorry. Go ahead. [01:42:25] Speaker C: Yeah, I. So Darby's promo, is it for. Because he's getting the title back, or is it for Sting's son, Steve Broden, who, by the way is. Which is up because he's always Known as Steve's like, Sting son. And like. [01:42:43] Speaker A: Yeah, he stings large adults. [01:42:46] Speaker C: Yeah, so. [01:42:49] Speaker B: So he's gonna be. He's gonna be stuck being associated to Darby Allen because he was there [01:42:58] Speaker C: and he was. He had a dark match before the, The Dynamite as well. So. [01:43:03] Speaker B: So my thought is, cool. Steve's large adult, Sting's large adult son, Steve is going to make it to TV soon. Cool. That's like what, that's. What that's telling me is because they're getting you used to it and he's gonna be attached to Darby. [01:43:23] Speaker A: Yeah, because like, we, we know that. Yeah, like, we know he's been there at least since Darby won the title because Silent was at that show and she had the video of his. His entrance for the dark match. [01:43:38] Speaker C: Yeah, he was at my dark match for the collision too, that I went to. Yeah. [01:43:43] Speaker B: Yeah. So he's been getting, he's been getting working like, he's been getting reps and so, like, they're probably gonna be like, cool, we're gonna tie you to the rapist and throw you on TV to get your. The road get you over. [01:43:56] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. [01:43:58] Speaker C: Do you think derby's gonna be like, dude, do the match for me? [01:44:03] Speaker A: No, but I do think Steve is gonna come out. Well, I think Knight will have a match with the large adult son either collision or Dynamite next week and then [01:44:18] Speaker B: that soon. [01:44:18] Speaker A: All right, I think they'll do it because. Yeah, that'll get. Yeah. And then all in will, since it's no dq, it will have run ins and Sting will show up. [01:44:30] Speaker B: Yeah, there you go [01:44:32] Speaker A: for Darby. Darby in his one match with the one thing that got him the most over Sting. Yep. So, yeah, he does. [01:44:42] Speaker B: Steve's large adult son will be like, wow, this pops for you and me, dad. And you'd be like, shut up. I'm hanging out with my son, Darbins Allen, right. [01:44:53] Speaker C: Oh, I didn't know. I thought Darby Allen was Sting's son. He gets it all the time. Are you kidding? He's got a therapist on text [01:45:06] Speaker A: again. How did that make you feel, Darbins? Yeah, so Darby does. Darby does a stretcher job off all this and they go back from commercial and Knight says some it to Sting's large adult son. And I wasn't really paying attention because, like, I think that the. I, I thought that the, the video wasn't working because the crowd can't. Was chanting, we can't see this. And then they cut to the ring area and like, oh. And it's because the pyro has like set off just like. It's just dank. [01:45:44] Speaker C: Yes. [01:45:45] Speaker A: It looks like a hampter sero entrance. There was so much dank in the arena. Like that is where like we can't see. Like that's. Yep. Yeah. [01:45:52] Speaker C: So 400. Jesus. And it stayed there. It stayed there for us. [01:46:01] Speaker A: Such a cool visual, honestly. Yeah. For the main event, the elite Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks versus the Don Callis family. I'll clone Mark Davis and Jake Doyle. [01:46:12] Speaker C: Second string. [01:46:14] Speaker A: Second string Osprey gets in Kenny's face before the entrance. And I didn't really pay attention to what it. It was about, but like Kenny is just big timing the out of him and he's like, yeah, whatever, little yappy dog. [01:46:28] Speaker C: After the match. [01:46:30] Speaker A: Yeah. And he. He signed a kid's sign that says, it's my birthday. You can't make me boo this man. He did that. He did the thing. He's so good and wonderful and he never. [01:46:46] Speaker B: He's never once blown someone up who didn't deserve it. [01:46:50] Speaker A: Yeah. Because that exploding cage, that exploding death match with John Moxley was a dud. The bomb didn't go off, so he didn't blow him up. [01:46:58] Speaker C: It never went off. [01:46:59] Speaker A: Never went off. He didn't blow him up. It's fine what the happened. [01:47:03] Speaker B: And also John Moxley would have deserved it. [01:47:06] Speaker A: Well, he didn't deserve it then. And he would also blowing up Eddie Kingston. [01:47:10] Speaker B: And Eddie definitely no, Eddie has never done anything wrong. [01:47:15] Speaker A: That is. Eddie's a perfect angel. He definitely. There's. Don't, don't look for a promo where he celebrates possibly giving a guy concussion in front of his family. [01:47:23] Speaker B: No, that's fine. You know, yeah, if he did do that, I'm sure the guy deserved it. Yeah, he did. [01:47:34] Speaker A: I hate you. I hate everything about you. I hate the air that you breathe. I hate the fact that you're even alive. [01:47:44] Speaker B: God is so. Oh, dear God is so good. That guy touched me like, holy. [01:47:53] Speaker C: He's. [01:47:53] Speaker B: I'm like, I'm getting so. Oh, I love pro wrestling. I'm just so like, if. If y' all don't know what we're talking about, go look up that promo and just get ready to like run through a wall. Oh, it's so good. It's so good. [01:48:09] Speaker C: He's a master. [01:48:10] Speaker A: Eddie doing his version of the. The AM Speech from I have no mouth. I hate you. Just do it a little bit more concisely. This match was. This match was fine. It was cool. They do. They did elite stuff. [01:48:30] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:48:31] Speaker A: Davis and Doyle did power stuff. Clone did his clone stuff. Everybody got the out. [01:48:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Clone did really cool clone stuff. [01:48:40] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:48:41] Speaker B: Yeah. The bucks, they looked a little damp having just been pissed out of someone's kidneys, but [01:48:49] Speaker A: that was me. Yeah. [01:48:51] Speaker B: Yeah, [01:48:54] Speaker A: yeah. [01:48:55] Speaker B: All right. That might be the re that might get the award for the grossest callback that's ever happened on the show. [01:49:02] Speaker A: Really, really nasty to imply that looks. [01:49:09] Speaker B: I can't help. What. What's comedy? Okay. I can't. It's not my fault. [01:49:17] Speaker A: I mean, that's objective. We think it's really funny. Other people might listen to this and be like, what the is wrong with this? [01:49:22] Speaker B: No, no, no, no. Comedy is either funny. [01:49:26] Speaker A: If you think kidney stone wrestlers are funny. [01:49:29] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:49:29] Speaker A: Comment below. [01:49:33] Speaker C: I can't subscribe. [01:49:37] Speaker B: Let us. Let us know. This is. This is so important. If you have feelings regarding professional wrestlers as kidney stones, I need you to share them in the comments section of whatever fucking pod catcher that you listened. I do not stick with hers about this shit showing up on Spotify, on YouTube. I think people have no idea what's going. [01:50:14] Speaker A: Listener engagement. Yeah. This is how we pop off the listener engagement segment. The first listener engagement segment since we did that Q A call in for the old pie. Yeah. Is just like, what do you think about wrestlers as kidney stones? [01:50:28] Speaker C: Yeah. If you had a kidney stone, what would you. What wrestler would you name it? [01:50:34] Speaker A: What tag team would you want to be in your kidneys causing you unspeakable pain? [01:50:38] Speaker B: I guess it would deprive this. It depend on the size. [01:50:41] Speaker C: Videos like, it really. [01:50:42] Speaker B: If it was like, a really, really big one, it would just be Brian Cage. [01:50:47] Speaker C: Yeah. Or Big Show. [01:50:50] Speaker B: Oh, Paul. Paul. Oh, God. [01:50:55] Speaker C: I'm sorry. I apologize. I apologize. That was rude. I'll call him the Giant. I think the Giant is fine. [01:51:01] Speaker B: The Giant. [01:51:02] Speaker A: Yeah. [01:51:02] Speaker C: So, yeah. [01:51:03] Speaker B: The Giant son of Giant Big Bubba. [01:51:10] Speaker A: We already said the Twin Towers were coming out, so. [01:51:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:51:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Sorry. [01:51:14] Speaker B: We can't go back or. We need to. Okay. We need to get away from this. [01:51:18] Speaker A: This is too much. This is too much. [01:51:19] Speaker B: Where we're sliding back into a bad place. [01:51:22] Speaker A: Yep. Heels go nuts for a second after the elite do some elite stuff, and then they get commercial heat. A buck with a tag rope. And I like when people choke people with tag ropes. Taz goes on a long pageant about. If you ever see Mark Davis and catering, eat something. It's disturbing. It's like a wild animal. It's like a machine. Taz, you spend about as much time in the woods as you do in catering, which is to say very little. He says, well, sometimes you only just need a coffee. Yeah. I was like the. Are you talking about, man, [01:52:01] Speaker B: I love coffee for breakfast. [01:52:05] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:52:06] Speaker A: I, I back up to three cups [01:52:08] Speaker B: a day because it, the world's on fire. [01:52:10] Speaker A: I love a good cup of trash coffee too. It's just like. [01:52:13] Speaker B: Oh yeah, depends. [01:52:15] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh man. This has been sitting in the, the warmer for three hours and the creamer cups are floating in water because the ice all melted. This is going to go great. Fine. It's fine. Yeah, don't worry about it. [01:52:30] Speaker B: Yeah. This is Jon Cruz squash match. Yeah, it was, it was good. [01:52:34] Speaker A: Sometimes whichever Jackson is starts showing some life. He fights off the heels. Hot tagged Kenny who he just tears into Clone and then tries to do a neck breaker across the knee. They do the, they are, they're all in young bucks too. They're high five bulldog. And then Kenny does. He can't escape. And they all hit stereo dives on and then they do the Terminator Topaz coming. [01:53:04] Speaker C: Yes. [01:53:05] Speaker A: Tony Schiavone says pro wrestling is the greatest sport in the world. And I love being in this over time. [01:53:14] Speaker B: You really sound like. Yeah, very sleepy. [01:53:20] Speaker C: Yeah, he's. I think he's fading like in general speaking. [01:53:24] Speaker B: I, I heard him say that and my instant thought was why is Tony Schiavone got such heat with Uncle Bully? Because, because like this is gonna be the beginning of a feud. [01:53:40] Speaker A: When he said that, I looked at the clock and I was like, Jesus Christ. [01:53:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. [01:53:49] Speaker A: All these, all these dynamites are 90 minutes. Let's just get that out of the way. So, yeah, finish. Clone gets his, Clone gets his matrix kick on Kenny. But then the bucks just kick the kick his face off. They super kick Doyle. They dive on the heels, on the outside. Kenny hits a V trigger to Doyle. One winged angel. And that finishes it. [01:54:10] Speaker B: That finishes it. And like, I don't know, I watched. I was like. I don't know how to say quite so. I was like. I don't know if it was the camera anger or what, but that was like the smoothest one winged angel I've seen in like a long time. Like, that was an extremely pretty one winged angel on Jake something. That's a large man. [01:54:32] Speaker C: He's huge. And like. Yeah, that was, that was incredible. [01:54:38] Speaker B: He could be a murder hobo. Yeah. Yeah, like that, that like there's a big guy and that was very pretty and graceful and well done and everyone. That was great. And it almost made up for the fact that that main event shouldn't be Happening that time it was too late. [01:54:56] Speaker A: So. Well, we're not done. The Don Cow's family members come out and they attack the Elite. They set up a table out for, for Kenny. And then it's Cope and Cage are the ones that make the save. They're coming to help the Bucks [01:55:11] Speaker B: a little more Cope than Cage got there eventually. [01:55:17] Speaker A: Christian's just like, hold on, I gotta adjust my sleeve. [01:55:20] Speaker B: Are they gonna play my, are they gonna play my music or make sure [01:55:23] Speaker A: my, my wrist guard doesn't fall off? [01:55:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:55:32] Speaker A: Yeah. He finally does get in and then he gets immediately super kicked by accident by the Bucks. [01:55:41] Speaker C: This is driving home all of the incorrect lessons. [01:55:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Davis goes after them from behind. The whole thing just like broken all the way down. So they're fighting to the back. Kenny gets on the mic and he says like, hey, hey, he. Because he was going to say the to Osprey. So Osprey comes out and he's like, hey, I was wondering what you're going to say to me. You're about as popular here as a parking ticket. And Omega just is like, actually, you security. And they're gonna throw Osprey out. And he's like, get him out of here. Go out of here with your tail between your legs, will you? Little English. So then Osprey's like, nobody calls me a female. And charges the ring and they start punching women. [01:56:32] Speaker B: I hate those. [01:56:34] Speaker A: I don't like ladies. And then eventually, like the security comes in and they, they kind of pull him off. And then Kenny hits a V trigger, throws the security out. He's like, you guys suck. One last lesson to teach you, my friend. You take one last look at this title. You son of a. And then he hits the one winged angel from the apron through the table. Kenny Omega comes on tv. He's going like, I feel really good. He's like, I feel good. [01:57:07] Speaker B: He's like, guys, I don't even know how it's possible. I don't know how, but I just had a prostate orgasm on television. Full body. I'm, I'm gone. [01:57:17] Speaker A: Like, he poses with the belt. That's it. Legitimate 90 minute episode of dynamite. [01:57:26] Speaker B: Well, 90. Well, 90 plus 6. Well, yeah. [01:57:32] Speaker A: 120. Yeah. I don't know why I thought 90. If it was a 90 minute dynamite, people would be happy. 100. Yeah. 150. So 1500 hour dynamite. Cool. [01:57:49] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [01:57:53] Speaker C: Never die. [01:57:55] Speaker A: So I don't think the story, I, I, I don't know. This is the story they are trying to tell, but this is the Story that I am imagining they are telling is that Will was like, I want to face Kenny Omega because he's my hero. And he helped Kenny get the title. And then. Yeah, he didn't realize that in so doing, he would unlock Gold Madness. Completely deranged Kenny Omega. [01:58:25] Speaker C: Yeah. [01:58:25] Speaker A: So he, like. He, like. It's like the way I. The way I put it on Blue sky was like, he wanted one secret boss fight, but he got like, the double secret boss fight. And he's not under leveled, but his loadout is kind of. Yeah, he's gotta, like. Yeah, he's. He, like. He went through that. That fog wall. He's like, oh, he's got all this. He's got more. [01:58:51] Speaker B: And that dude who trained him and gave him, like, one last trance to change a few of his loadouts before he went, he. He totally didn't listen to that guy. He sent him back and. And that guy was like, well, you came. This is Kenny Omega, and you're coming for his gold. And you think that he's just gonna let that happen in some sort of sportly way? Because Kenny Omega. [01:59:19] Speaker A: What happened to Mox when he went up against Kenny was. He lost, like, got murdered. Kenny took the title off. [01:59:25] Speaker B: Changed me. Yeah. [01:59:27] Speaker A: Kenny took the title off him, and he could not get it back. Like, he. Yeah, he could not do it. [01:59:34] Speaker B: Damn. [01:59:35] Speaker C: I wonder. Yeah, I wonder how the Death Riders feel about where Mox feels about this. [01:59:41] Speaker A: I mean, Mox, look, look, Mox was just like, listen, Kenny, you scrub. You have to get not. Kenny, will you scrub? Will you sprout? You have to get good. You gotta get your. Your eye level up, change your build out because you need you. You like, you. You have an agility build. You're gonna need a strength build for this match with Kenny with some dexterity thrown in, maybe a little fate, faith. And. Would you like to learn to wrestle and use some submissions? And then Will does not ever use the flying arm bar that he learned from the Death. [02:00:23] Speaker B: Yeah, that he did for, like, a couple of times. And then he just stopped. [02:00:27] Speaker A: Yeah. [02:00:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [02:00:28] Speaker A: Yep. [02:00:35] Speaker B: And that's the thing is, like, if Tony. No, if. I think Tony had it in him. Tk. Of course, to, like, actually do, like, be. Trust himself in that kind of storytelling. Like. Like, I just. I don't think he does. I don't. I think I. I think he's just like, no, we got to go for the big pop, right? You go for the big pop, right? Yeah. That's what you do. And I'm like, no, dude, don't I mean, there's a. [02:01:03] Speaker A: There's a degree to which. But imagine if you pissed. You can't. [02:01:10] Speaker B: No, because, like, here's the thing, though, okay? Look, look, look, look, look, look, look. All right, because it's. It's fed. Because Vince used to do that all the time, and he became addicted to the sauce. You can't become addicted to the sauce. Probably the problem is TK never really. Really. He's never really tasted this sauce. He's never. He's never dipped into this particular. [02:01:36] Speaker A: So maybe he just shouldn't. Like, that's what I'm saying. [02:01:38] Speaker B: Like, I think he. I think now would be the time. I'm just saying, if you're gonna go for this sauce, tk, now's the time for this sauce. And then don't overdo it, because you will become addicted to the sauce, and you will resent it when it's gone. [02:01:52] Speaker A: Resent its absence. [02:01:54] Speaker B: You resent its absence. [02:01:56] Speaker A: I'm just saying, like. [02:01:57] Speaker C: Like, [02:01:59] Speaker A: TK's entire booking philosophy is, like, don't get too smart. And, like, I'm very much of two minds in this, cuz Like, I could see, like. Yes, just put the belt on Will and see what happens, because baby faces don't get long runs anyway, and he's a baby face. Like, whether we agree or not, he's positioned as the baby face in this entire feud. [02:02:23] Speaker B: It was. [02:02:25] Speaker A: And then. Because, like, you also. [02:02:27] Speaker B: But then you're gonna get people who are mad that he has a small run, like, with Hangman, and I don't think. I think. I think that got blown. I also think that got blown way out, but I think that was more people on the Internet complaining about people not liking the. The thing that happened. [02:02:46] Speaker A: The booking that happened with. That was, like. It didn't really make sense because it's [02:02:49] Speaker B: like, yeah, it was just bad booking. Yeah. Like, But I don't. [02:02:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I don't mind Samoa Joe as champion. Like, yeah, champion any day. But, like, it was a very weird [02:03:02] Speaker B: position, but I feel like he. He keeps doing this, and then, like, because he. Yeah. Like, you say he thinks that's the way to go, but, like, it always. It's always disappointing. It's always. It always. Like, it makes sense on paper, but it's always disappointing. Disappointing, and just like, just this one time. Swerve, bro. Just swerve. Okay. Like, because this whole ep. I don't. He's not gonna do it, but I just think it would be now. [02:03:31] Speaker A: I mean, the reason you can't do it Is where is all in supposed to be next year? Are they going back to Wembley or have they not settled on it yet? [02:03:39] Speaker B: I don't think they've settled on it yet, but I don't think it's Wembley because we need to be done with Wembley for a while. In my opinion. [02:03:48] Speaker A: We like, they, like they, they can't put off Osprey being champion any longer. I don't think, like regardless of my personal opinions on the guy or his, you know, wrestling ability. [02:04:03] Speaker B: Well, this isn't even personal for me. I just think it's the better story. I, I just think it's the best. [02:04:10] Speaker A: I mean it depends on what they do with him afterwards. [02:04:13] Speaker B: But now we're doing that thing now. Yeah, now we're doing that thing that everyone hates where we're fantasy booking. I'm like, but that's, that's the fun. [02:04:19] Speaker A: I'm hanging out with my friend. [02:04:20] Speaker B: Fantasy booking. [02:04:21] Speaker A: I'm just talking about the fantasy book. It's just like, I don't know what you would do but like I also don't know what you do with him as champion. Like he has a match with mjf, he'll probably like, I hope MJF doesn't win the contract again in the casino gauntlet. Like that was annoying last year. Nobody liked that. [02:04:43] Speaker B: Yeah, everyone lot dislike that. Yeah. [02:04:47] Speaker A: Yeah. I, I don't know. Like it's. The match itself makes sense. It's like a big arena level match. It doesn't quite need the character swerves that have been in it. Yeah, I, I don't know. Like I'm not, I'm, it's, I'm not excited about it. Like I, I have, I have work Sunday. I'm not going to be horribly broken up about the fact that I'm not going to watch the show for a few days afterwards. [02:05:19] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:05:19] Speaker B: I'm not terribly broken up about the fact that I'm not gonna watch it on a good stream, you know, but yeah, like, because I'm just like this, it's. I couldn't, I, I don't, I wouldn't say I couldn't care less. There's lots of stuff that I'm gonna be excited to see and I'm sure it's gonna hard because it's a pay per view from AEW and it's always pretty good. [02:05:42] Speaker A: Good. [02:05:43] Speaker B: But like this is now two in a row where I, the whole build up I've just been like, I am, I, I don't much care. Like, I just don't much Care. [02:05:54] Speaker A: I feel like it's the opposite. I feel like last year the build was really good because. [02:05:59] Speaker B: Well no last year. Last year the build was. I mean two paper the last two pay per views in a row. [02:06:04] Speaker A: Oh well I'm not gonna like you can't compare this to yeah redemption because. [02:06:10] Speaker B: No, I'm not doing this. I'm just. [02:06:12] Speaker A: Since before redemption. [02:06:14] Speaker B: I know but still it's just like the. The. [02:06:16] Speaker A: The. [02:06:17] Speaker B: The whole. I just. I'm. I'm upset that both in a row I'm like. Just like something feels. Something feels off and I can't imagine that it's leftover stink from the rushed redemption. Like he couldn't have made did it really it all up that bad because something just feels off and rushed. The pacing just seems. [02:06:38] Speaker C: We're just tired of it is the thing like this has been building for six eight weeks now and like everything. [02:06:47] Speaker B: Maybe that's why I'm begging for a swerve too is because it's like it's inevitable at this point. I hate when things are inevitable. [02:06:54] Speaker A: Here's. All right. Somebody said the Detroit show. The Detroit promos that they did. That was the go home promos. [02:07:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Yep. Yep. Baby. I was gonna say like this had he for with me before [02:07:12] Speaker A: but just. Yeah. Like I. I don't know. I'm. I feel like I'm being overly negative on something and I feel like it. I'm being overly negative because I don't really care for Osprey and kind of everything he does annoys me to some degree and I. I am being a hater and a about it. But whatever. [02:07:37] Speaker B: Like I guess I don't feel that way. Yeah. I don't feel. I don't personally feel. I. I don't think I'm. I'm not hating at all. I'm just meh. And I'm just like, you know that you got all these things I should love but I feel like the execution is. Is left me wanting basically. So I don't know everything we talked about already in this episode. We should wrap it up it. We're going to. [02:08:04] Speaker A: We're going long and I don't want to talk about Will Osprey anymore because. All right. One last thing. One last thing. [02:08:10] Speaker B: One last thing. We gotta do this again next week. [02:08:12] Speaker A: We got to do it again. [02:08:13] Speaker B: Well, not you. [02:08:14] Speaker A: No spoilers. There will be somebody else in the third seat next week. Ominous honking Ominous honking as what they wore rig cozy coupe [02:08:31] Speaker B: yes. We're never gonna turn a profit. All right. What's One last thing. [02:08:36] Speaker A: My one last thing is that this entire all in build has been about the inevitability of Will Ospreay. Yeah. And that's, I think, what I don't like about it the most. It's like I don't care. Like he, he has to be champion. He's going to become champion. Like you don't sign a guy like that and don't make him your champion. At some point, he put over the guy that you made your champion at all in last year, huge. He's done a lot for the company. My personal feelings on him aside, like from a business standpoint, you have to do it. [02:09:14] Speaker C: Yeah. [02:09:15] Speaker A: I've just absolutely not been on board with the build for it is the thing. [02:09:23] Speaker B: Yeah. It's like the vibes feel off to me. [02:09:29] Speaker A: It's too much of an inevitability. It's not quite. Yeah. Like when the Fed was pushing Roman Reigns and nobody wanted him because like Osprey, at least I will watch a Will Osprey match willingly. I will not watch a Roman Reigns match unless there's somebody's going to kill me. [02:09:47] Speaker B: Yeah, you've seen one. You've seen them all. [02:09:49] Speaker A: But like. Yeah, like it's like it's. It's gonna happen. You have. It's. You're gonna watch it. That's. That's just how I feel. It's. It's not. I'm. I'm over it. I'm over it. Just pull the trigger. Let's see what happens. [02:10:06] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. I mean, and when it comes down to it, that's why we're wrestling fans, like, you know, so this is. It's not our jobs to write this, but sometimes I want to reach, reach out and let's say, touch someone. That being Tony Khan. And just the touching is just kind of of shaking them a little bit.
