[00:00:07] Speaker A: In the beginning, the earth was a dark, formless void.
But then God spoke and said, let there be wrestling.
And with that, there was Monday, and wrestling happened on Mondays. And God looked upon her works and said, holy shit, that's a lot of racism in video packages.
On the second day, God got depressed and lo did she post about it on the DVD VR forums. And with that, there was Tuesday.
On the third day, God said, let there be Wednesday. And lo did the people reply unto her.
We know what that means.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: And welcome back to Wednesday night Fake Bites, where we talk all things aew. We are here for the sixth anniversary of AEW Dynamite. That's right, Dynamite.
If it was a person, would be a six year old person. Just old enough to drive.
[00:01:12] Speaker A: They love dinosaurs.
[00:01:15] Speaker B: Yeah, we got a super sized one. And as always, I am one of your hosts, Jeff the Tokimangoose. Yeah. Here with my wonderful cohorts, Piper Willow.
[00:01:25] Speaker C: Back again for the six.
[00:01:32] Speaker A: It's the sixth Dynamite.
[00:01:34] Speaker B: I thought you were gonna say it was our sixth episode. I'm like, that doesn't.
[00:01:38] Speaker A: Six months? No, not even six months. Hey, it's Erica Warren. Erica Warren is back.
Yay.
[00:01:45] Speaker C: How was your sabbatical?
[00:01:47] Speaker B: You escaped the video game?
[00:01:50] Speaker A: No, Well, I was actually in the city. Like, it turns out that the haunted city of Yharnam is like right next to Philly over in Jersey.
[00:01:59] Speaker B: Just a hop and a jump.
[00:02:01] Speaker A: Yeah, it's kind of crazy.
[00:02:02] Speaker B: I didn't know that it has a publix.
[00:02:06] Speaker A: We just don't. I. I think just people.
[00:02:07] Speaker B: Is that the right area is publix in there?
[00:02:10] Speaker A: People just don't talk about it on account of the like nightly purges and giant monsters and like that.
[00:02:18] Speaker B: So it's a Waffle House.
[00:02:23] Speaker C: Philly in the. The no man's land of Pennsylvan.
[00:02:26] Speaker A: But no, it's in Jersey. There's a lot of empty space down in South Jersey.
[00:02:30] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:02:34] Speaker B: Like this a Brando's episode?
[00:02:37] Speaker A: No, that's the Pine Barrens. We're talking about South Jersey, bro.
[00:02:40] Speaker B: I don't know.
[00:02:41] Speaker A: There's, there's, there's geography here.
[00:02:43] Speaker B: If it's outside of Michigan, it's all just a big wet.
[00:02:46] Speaker A: To me personally, people don't know this, but like, South Jersey is part of the Greater Caliphate of Philadelphia. So Central Jersey. Central Jersey.
[00:02:57] Speaker B: Where is Trenton?
[00:02:58] Speaker C: I can see you're not a real person from Jersey, because every person I talk to about Jersey says the Central Jersey doesn't exist.
[00:03:04] Speaker A: Oh.
Ah, Trenton. Trenton's just a hole. Nobody likes Trenton.
[00:03:12] Speaker B: That's Right. I don't know why. It's one of the few like Jersey City names I know.
[00:03:16] Speaker A: Because it's the capital.
[00:03:18] Speaker B: Is it? Oh, that makes sense, I think.
[00:03:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:03:21] Speaker B: Actually, the summary.
[00:03:24] Speaker A: Yeah, I live here. God damn it.
I like I'm required to know this stuff the same way that I am required to know how to segue into tonight's episode of dynamite. The six year anniversary on October 1st there in Hollywood, Florida.
Oh, judging from. Not to stereotype, but looking at the people that were in the crowd, it sure looked like a Florida crowd was on.
[00:03:55] Speaker C: They behaved like one too.
[00:03:57] Speaker B: I thought it was a kind of cool looking venue though. It was a little.
[00:03:59] Speaker A: It was a very cool. Yes. They were in like this amphitheater looking thing.
[00:04:04] Speaker B: Yeah, it was more. Yeah, it was like a. At least for stage shows.
[00:04:07] Speaker A: And I always like that Excalibur runs down the card a little bit. And then we get a little video package from the young bucks.
They. They are planning their big entrance tonight for the sixth anniversary show. But yeah, Nick, Nick. Nick's got some great ideas which is he's going to. He's going to gamble their winnings.
[00:04:33] Speaker B: I like that. They got Brandon Cutler back with them too. They paid him and he had to film for them.
[00:04:38] Speaker A: Double the rate to get Brandon back.
[00:04:41] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, boy.
[00:04:42] Speaker A: Unfortunately, Nick.
Nick run a foul of the one arm banditos and lost all their money on the slots.
Yeah. Gambler with his neon claws.
That's the Simpsons reference for you children.
[00:05:03] Speaker B: It's just such a funny, like character trait to suddenly put on Nick that he is addicted to slot machines.
Like, I don't feel like this has never been meant. I don't know. I'm not a big bte guy, so maybe it's part of that or something. But I just feel like this suddenly came out of nowhere.
[00:05:17] Speaker A: I don't know.
It is unusual.
[00:05:22] Speaker C: My life. And he's immediately like, all right, how can I squander this with the slight chance of making more.
[00:05:28] Speaker A: I think that is the, the running gag is he's bad with money. There was a bit where, yeah, he up a deal and like they. They'd spent like millions of dollars already on stuff. And he was like, oh, yeah, by the way, that deal fell through.
[00:05:45] Speaker B: There's one bit where he started naming off like real slot machines. Like he was like the fire link. And it was like, oh, he knows his stuff. He does.
[00:05:54] Speaker A: So yeah, that money's all gone. And whatever big plans they had for their entrance are now gone. They are the broke bucks. Same.
[00:06:03] Speaker B: Yeah. They give them the jobber entrance, too. They're just in the ring.
[00:06:06] Speaker A: They're back to the jobber entrance. Kudos to Justin Roberts for, you know, continuing the bit despite the last time he was, like, straight up killed.
[00:06:15] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, that's true. Yeah, he did get up there that.
[00:06:19] Speaker C: I forgot about that.
[00:06:20] Speaker B: You're not gonna keep them down.
[00:06:21] Speaker A: And this segues into our first match of the broke Bucks and Josh Alexander of the Don Callis family versus Brodido and Kenneth John Fitzgerald Kennedy Omega junior.
[00:06:36] Speaker C: It can't be an AEW anniversary show without a big off tag match.
[00:06:41] Speaker A: Yeah, this was pretty fun. Like you said, there's a big off match.
[00:06:47] Speaker C: Great opener.
[00:06:48] Speaker B: Yeah, I like that. They gave Kenny all the pyro and it just showed the Bucks looking, like, kind of pissed about it too.
[00:06:54] Speaker A: Kenny got all the pyro.
[00:06:56] Speaker B: Got that Ricky Starks pyro.
[00:07:02] Speaker A: Ricky Saints. I'm sorry.
[00:07:04] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. No. NXT champ.
[00:07:06] Speaker A: NXT champion. Congratulations to still developing Ricardo Montablan Starks.
That's a dumb cut. Unless you really like Wrath of Khan or some. And Fantasy Island.
I love the. The chemistry between Kenny and Brodito was off the charts. Like they were having so much fun.
[00:07:31] Speaker B: A lot of fun stuff.
[00:07:33] Speaker A: Kenny has no problem doing the arena.
[00:07:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:07:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:07:36] Speaker B: Brody's still resisting.
[00:07:39] Speaker A: I think he should. That's a little bit too much of. Of a. Of a character break if he does the Macarena.
[00:07:45] Speaker C: No, no, no, That's. That's a pay per view payoff right there.
[00:07:48] Speaker B: Yeah, he's gonna do it to a big pop play.
The whole Rodido in general is a very goofy, like, tongue in cheek project. I've noticed. Like, you could tell it's two friends who are just, like, having fun together.
[00:08:02] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:08:02] Speaker B: I mean, the name. We've talked about the name.
[00:08:05] Speaker A: It's not name.
[00:08:08] Speaker B: This is not high theater here.
[00:08:10] Speaker A: They're doing the Macarena, but they're in an amphitheater.
[00:08:13] Speaker B: That is true.
[00:08:14] Speaker A: Yeah, that's like what the Greeks did.
[00:08:16] Speaker B: And I look at one of my. One of my tasks was he says, that's how you mock arena.
[00:08:22] Speaker A: Yeah, that was Danielson.
[00:08:24] Speaker B: Oh, was that okay?
[00:08:25] Speaker A: That is how you mock. And Reyna. It's like, what the.
[00:08:30] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:08:31] Speaker B: Lions flying around.
[00:08:32] Speaker A: Yeah. They do another comedy spot where Brody body slams Kenny onto Josh Alexander.
[00:08:39] Speaker B: Yeah, they hit the. It was. They did the. The Taniguchi spot again.
[00:08:43] Speaker A: And then he goes to do it to Bandido and Bandido slips out. Is like, no. And then he body slams Birdie onto him effortlessly. Effortlessly. He is so strong. He's like.
[00:08:57] Speaker B: It's crazy. Yeah, he's one of those dudes where, like, you look at him and, like, he's. He's a pro wrestler. He's in shape, but, like, you don't. He'll do stuff that. It's just like, that doesn't look right. Like, physically, you shouldn't that be able to do this?
[00:09:11] Speaker C: He's not. He's not in the same class, but he's in the same, like, category as Claudio is.
[00:09:17] Speaker B: Yeah, no, exactly. Yeah. Pound for pound, you look at him.
[00:09:21] Speaker C: You'Re like, yeah, this guy looks strong. And then he does something like that, and you're like, oh, that guy is strong.
[00:09:27] Speaker A: The most powerful luchador in the world.
[00:09:30] Speaker B: Another good Taz where they're talking about Nick and he says he has a gambling issue. And Excalibur goes, yeah, the issue is he loses.
[00:09:39] Speaker A: Yeah, he's the. The New York. Nick Jackson is the New York Mets of gambling, which popped me.
Sorry, Mets fans, but I hate you.
And your pain brings me Joy.
[00:09:53] Speaker B: Watched like, 20 minutes of a Tigers game today.
[00:09:56] Speaker A: Hey.
[00:09:57] Speaker B: Yeah, they were winning at the end. I don't know. Like. Yeah, that was like, top of the seventh and they were up six to one, and then I left. So fingers crossed, you know.
[00:10:05] Speaker A: There we go. Let's go, Detroit.
[00:10:07] Speaker B: It's nice even having your local. Even if you're not super into the sport, like, having your local sports teams do well, it's one thing.
[00:10:14] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:15] Speaker C: Go Birds.
[00:10:16] Speaker B: Go, Birds.
[00:10:17] Speaker A: Go, Phil, go. Films also. Go, Phils, go.
[00:10:21] Speaker B: I hope everyone just has fun.
[00:10:23] Speaker A: I don't know, I. I don't have, like, a ton of notes, but, like, a lot of it is just, like, dumb that happened.
[00:10:28] Speaker B: Yeah, it was just. It was a fun match.
[00:10:30] Speaker A: Like, like, you can't escape. Is easily escaped.
Yambag Yahtzee to the Bucks.
[00:10:39] Speaker B: That was good.
[00:10:40] Speaker A: That was a pretty good spot.
[00:10:41] Speaker B: I thought Kenny looked like the best he has in a while.
[00:10:44] Speaker A: He was moving good, energetic, and healthy.
[00:10:47] Speaker B: And did a great. What is it called? The Terminator dive.
Like, that was gorgeous.
[00:10:53] Speaker A: That was right after Yambag Yahtzee. Yeah, I was his kick ass.
So we get to the finish where the heels. Oh, the faces. Kenny gets a V Trigger Bandido gets a 21 plex on Josh Alexander. Birdie King does, like, a giant dive to the outside.
And then Kenny gets the one winged angel. The televised one winged angel. And that's. That's the win. Faces win.
[00:11:20] Speaker C: They kind of killed Josh there at the end where it was just like, it was Like a V trigger to the back. A V trigger to the back of the 21 Plex 1 wig and angel. There's, like, something else in there as well. Like, they just, like, put him through his paces and we're like, you.
You are not going to kick out.
[00:11:38] Speaker B: I think they are. They're setting up a Kenny versus Josh matches because I know Josh is angled for that. He's wanted a Kenny Omega match for a long time.
[00:11:46] Speaker A: Yeah, I saw just, like, do it.
[00:11:48] Speaker B: On, like, Dynamite or Collision or something. It'd be sick.
[00:11:50] Speaker A: Somebody put out there a clip from when AEW is working with TNA and how Kenny had a bunch of interactions with Josh, but it was like, not a singles match that ever materialized.
[00:12:01] Speaker B: Yeah, it's one of those that just never came around. And it seems like this is a good. And the story's there with the Don Callis family. Like, it'd be sick.
[00:12:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:12:09] Speaker C: And they're both Canadian.
[00:12:10] Speaker B: Gosh, is great. Yeah. Like, that's. Even throughout this, I was like, I have a lot of. From Josh that was really cool. Like, he is delivered a while now. He's fallen. He's fallen into his AEW groove.
[00:12:21] Speaker A: Yeah, he's very understated, but he's very good. Yeah, I like, I still love his. That thing he does where he'll, like, catch somebody in the side slam on the apron and then just drop.
[00:12:34] Speaker B: Yeah, right. Yeah.
[00:12:37] Speaker A: Into the. On the edge. Like, that's.
[00:12:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I love that, like, flying cross body block he does through the ropes to somebody on the apron. Like, that's one of his regular spots.
[00:12:46] Speaker A: But it always post match.
It seems almost like we're gonna get an elite reunion between Kenny and the Bucks.
Yeah. It seems like they're gonna bury the hatchet, but Josh Alexander, very sore loser, breaks it up and.
[00:13:02] Speaker B: And the Bucks just kind of are, like, hesitant about it. They just. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:13:07] Speaker C: It would have been, like, cute to see, like, a handshake or something or anything, but yeah, Josh just comes in and kind of wrecks that.
[00:13:15] Speaker A: Who makes the save but our good friends, Jurassic Express.
What? Yeah, they. They were like, big announcing, like, oh, Jurassic Express will be on the show.
[00:13:29] Speaker B: Yeah, like they were gonna have a segment or a match or something.
Just be like, all right, so they are gonna be there, just not in what capacity.
[00:13:37] Speaker A: And people. People were happy to see them. But yeah, they. They. They made the save.
[00:13:42] Speaker B: The songs. The song is still super over.
[00:13:45] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:13:45] Speaker A: People are not tired of the song. It's been a couple years since they got to hear it, so.
[00:13:50] Speaker B: Bring it back.
[00:13:51] Speaker A: They're really focused on going after the Young Bucks to the point where they're just like, the young bucks haven't really done anything and they're still being attacked.
[00:14:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:14:03] Speaker B: Yeah, that's true. What even is like the beef between the Young Bucks and Jurassic Express?
[00:14:08] Speaker A: I don't know anymore.
[00:14:09] Speaker C: There's like beef between Kenny and Jack Perry.
[00:14:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
That was kind of an odd little moment.
[00:14:17] Speaker C: They're like beefing and then like, they're like having each other.
[00:14:21] Speaker B: Like, I'm sure Jack Harry was like, he. And didn't he like, kick him out of the elite kind or. Or like turn on him as part of that or something?
[00:14:28] Speaker A: He A while he attacked him. That was. That was Kenny's last appearance before his diverticulitis surgery was Jack took him out. Yep. Jack Perry attack.
[00:14:38] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:14:39] Speaker A: That was when. Yeah, that was. I think that was when Jack joined the elite.
[00:14:43] Speaker B: Yeah, that sounds right.
[00:14:44] Speaker A: It was one of the many moments of Kenny spitting up blood.
[00:14:48] Speaker B: Yeah. Which, I mean, I do like that they're. They're doing smart wrestler thing where Kenny is remembering.
It's not just like, oh, you're. You're a face. So we're friends now. Like, yeah, you still you me up like, really bad. Like, I'm not gonna.
[00:15:01] Speaker C: I did like how they were like bickering and then Jack Perry's like, hold on a second. Runs out and just dives on both of the books who are just standing.
[00:15:10] Speaker A: Out inside the ring and he's running around with like a big ass knife on his hip.
[00:15:15] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, like, knife pervert. Jack fairy carrying knife.
[00:15:20] Speaker A: Perfect.
[00:15:22] Speaker C: My dad texts me last night and he goes, does jungle boy have a knife?
[00:15:27] Speaker B: And I'm like, I'm not watching knives.
[00:15:30] Speaker C: I think so. I'm pretty sure knife pervert is his new gimmick, if I recall correctly.
[00:15:34] Speaker B: So he makes them on like Instagram or whatever or Tick Tock. He makes videos of making.
Actually, it's really cool he made that. He made his version of the TNT belt. That black one.
[00:15:48] Speaker A: Yeah, he's like.
[00:15:48] Speaker B: He made that himself. And I was like this. That's actually incredibly sick. And it looked awesome. I really liked it. He's got a. I'm a Jack Barry apologist.
[00:15:57] Speaker A: I. He's fine, but, like, sometimes he's a dork.
[00:16:01] Speaker B: I feel like it's. They just haven't found like the right level for like a personality for him. Like, they try these things and nothing. Nothing's really stuck. And even this. I'm very curious to see how they're Gonna go. But them being like darker versions of themselves but faces. But still, like, coming out to Jurassic Express stuff.
[00:16:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:16:22] Speaker B: It's like, is Luchasaurus a zombie?
[00:16:26] Speaker C: Yes, I'm gonna. Yeah, we heard it here first, folks. I'm saying it.
[00:16:30] Speaker A: He is a zombie.
[00:16:32] Speaker B: Jack Perry is actually like a Frankenstein type dude.
[00:16:36] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:16:38] Speaker B: Because otherwise that means they got together and filmed that gimmick together, like, for. All right, come on, Luchasaurus. You lay on the bed and put the oxygen mask on, and I'm gonna drag you behind.
[00:16:47] Speaker A: Get in the casket. What if Jack used his dad's residuals to hire Dennis Nedry?
[00:16:57] Speaker C: Thought you were gonna say his coffin.
[00:17:02] Speaker B: No wonder you're extinct.
That's horrible.
[00:17:11] Speaker A: God damn it. It ruined it. You ruined it. And I had a joke about Jurassic park and it's over. All right, so Kenny grabs a mic and he says, thanks, everybody that's watched aw for six years at any time. Time. If you've been there, if you watched, he hopes for another six.
But he must bid us adieu and good night and Godspeed and bang. Yeah.
Lights go out.
[00:17:40] Speaker B: Dramatic flourish.
[00:17:41] Speaker A: Who it must be? Who could it must be Malachi Black. Or. No, it's not Malachi Black. It's the master.
[00:17:49] Speaker B: That looks like Jericho.
[00:17:51] Speaker A: Yeah, it's the other guy that left to go back to wwe, but with then realized that he hated it there too. And I think he got divorced.
He's like, I don't.
All right, Andrade El Idolo turned to a view again. Well, I guess he didn't return again. He's back again.
[00:18:13] Speaker B: Yeah, it's his first return, but he's. Yeah. His second time in the company. Actually. He is, I think, the first person to go AEW to WWE to a Back to aew.
[00:18:24] Speaker A: Yes. He's. This is his third jump and he's back.
[00:18:29] Speaker B: Probably not the last.
[00:18:30] Speaker A: Probably not the last. I hope that becomes his gimmick where he just goes between companies constantly. Nobody knows where he's working on a given week.
[00:18:39] Speaker C: Yeah, he's just always signing like a one night contract.
[00:18:42] Speaker B: He's gonna show up. And stardom. Just beating the. Out of somebody princess. A princess champion. Andrade.
This did. This got me though. I was genuinely pretty surprised. Like, I did see the mask in the hair and I was like, oh, it's Jericho. And then. But I saw the bill. I was like, okay. No. And then pulling off them, I was genuinely like, oh, I did not think he was gonna be here.
[00:19:08] Speaker C: I saw the mask and I was.
[00:19:09] Speaker B: Like, andrade, it says mask. It's the It's. It's the El Sombra mask, the one he's always worn. I don't know why. I was just surprised because Jericho would do.
[00:19:19] Speaker A: Jericho did like that.
[00:19:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Jericho would definitely do that. Dress up as Andrade. Yeah. And I am. I'm also very pro. Andrade, I think Aw was probably the place that handled him the best since, like, late stage NXT.
If he had that great C2 run, it sounds like he left on good terms with the company and, like, it's. Maybe, you know, he tried somewhere else. It didn't work. And why not give him another chance if he can still do good stuff?
[00:19:46] Speaker A: Yeah. He brings big divorce energy to the show.
[00:19:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:19:51] Speaker A: Good for him. He beats the. Out of Kenny.
[00:19:54] Speaker B: He's got a new family anyway.
[00:19:55] Speaker A: He's got a new family. He seems to have been a lot to be aligned with the Don Callis family.
I laughed when I think it was an Excalibur said, we know it. Expected to hear this music tonight. And I was like, dog, I cannot pick out from a lineup.
[00:20:15] Speaker B: Gun to my head. No clue.
[00:20:17] Speaker A: Like, you could. You could put, like, Darby's music and Andrade's music and, like, some other, like, third thing. That is not Andrade's music. Like, very obviously not Andrade's music. And I would not be able to pick it out.
[00:20:33] Speaker B: Darby's is pretty recognizable because it's like that death rock song that I actually kind of like.
[00:20:37] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:20:38] Speaker B: But if you did, like, Andrade's or Rushes or like, any of the other Luchadors or how, like, say. I have no clue. No, I said I didn't even recognize this mask.
[00:20:49] Speaker A: But it was. It was cool seeing him back. I think that this is kind of exciting. It's kind of the. It's sort of the thing that if there's. If there's multiple televised wrestling companies, this is the fun kind of where it's like.
[00:21:02] Speaker B: It's a good. People are talking about it, too. It's a. It's a modern water cooler kind of thing in wrestling.
[00:21:09] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:21:09] Speaker C: Gotta make moments.
[00:21:10] Speaker A: The digital water cooler, like, and the crowd was very, very into it. Like, the crowd recognized who it was, and they were. They popped big for him.
[00:21:18] Speaker B: I like that. Like, that spinning neck breaker suplex thing he did to kind of do that was a. We'll move and draw. He's a great wrestler.
[00:21:25] Speaker A: He really is. He's just. I. I mean, I don't really know what he. He was good in his last. Aw Run, but he didn't.
[00:21:32] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:21:32] Speaker A: Necessarily set the World on Fire.
[00:21:34] Speaker B: His match with Johnny Gargano and NXT is like one of my top 10 match. It's absolutely flawless.
[00:21:41] Speaker A: He was very good in NXT back then.
I. And then we kind of like fade out with. They go to the announce booth and like Taz is kind of dancing to Andrade's music.
[00:21:53] Speaker B: Yeah, he's getting down.
[00:21:54] Speaker A: He was having a good time with.
[00:21:55] Speaker B: That rhythm Jones over here.
[00:21:57] Speaker A: And we got a little video package of the highlights of Dynamite from the last six years.
Yeah, I cackled because there was.
[00:22:04] Speaker B: Some faces showed up.
[00:22:05] Speaker A: Yeah, there was a CM Punk sighting.
[00:22:08] Speaker B: There was Cody and there was Shaq.
[00:22:10] Speaker A: There was Shaq. That's right. I forgot. I forgot about that match.
[00:22:15] Speaker B: I looked up and saw Shaq and I was like, oh, yeah. And that had Cody too. That is the forbidden match. Was Cody's. Was Brandy in that match too, or was it like Jade?
[00:22:24] Speaker A: It was Cody and Brandy versus Shaq and Jade. I think that was Jade's debut match too.
[00:22:31] Speaker B: Remember when Jade feuded with Little Bow Wow? No, no, There was a weird. Yeah, it was a weird little period in AEW there.
It didn't happen for long, but they got into some.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: I am a Jade apologist. But like, I could not tell you.
I could not tell you anything about her run before she won the TBS title.
[00:22:49] Speaker B: That's. That's pretty good.
[00:22:51] Speaker A: Oh, and the shack match. I remember the shack match.
[00:22:54] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. It made the video package.
[00:22:59] Speaker A: Yeah, Well, I mean, it was. It was a big deal. I think that popped a rating even too.
[00:23:04] Speaker B: I don't think they put in Snoop Dogg's horrible splash.
[00:23:10] Speaker C: Yeah, I want to see the low lights of Dynamite over the last.
[00:23:14] Speaker B: The exploding barbed wire, the dark order missed punches.
[00:23:18] Speaker A: Oh, that was. They got to do.
Oh, man. Just like an audio issues compilation.
[00:23:25] Speaker C: Yeah, they could include tonight.
[00:23:27] Speaker A: Yeah, you could just do tonight and.
[00:23:28] Speaker B: It would be like audio issues later in the show. And I was like, oh, it is the sixth anniversary, so.
[00:23:34] Speaker A: But continuing on, we have a Mark Briscoe.
[00:23:37] Speaker B: We actually all like Dynamite.
[00:23:39] Speaker A: Yeah. But it's funny that their audio continually is Mark Briscoe with a promo. He's celebrating, but he's also reflecting. He's been consumed with trying to kill MJF for so long. And the only reason he's not the one challenging for the TNT title tonight is because Max cost him a shot. But he. He loves Orange Cassidy and conglomerating with him and he's going to be support him. He says, have fun picking tax out of your ass, Max.
[00:24:06] Speaker C: He basically just bragged about having friends.
[00:24:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:24:09] Speaker B: Yeah. It was kind of a pointless little problem. I'm not gonna lie. I like listening to Mark Briscoe talk though. And tax out of the ass was a good line.
[00:24:16] Speaker A: I think they was. I think part of it was just to keep in mind that like Mark wants a TNT title shot and I can't wait to see Mark. They've. They've. Yeah, they've kept Mark.
[00:24:25] Speaker B: And also maybe to kind of like remind that it's Orange instead of hologram. Because holograms hurt.
[00:24:29] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:24:30] Speaker B: Like it was the old story set up for.
[00:24:32] Speaker C: Is that why I. I deduced that. That he got.
[00:24:36] Speaker B: He got legit her last Wednesday which it's are missing also sometimes hos. Ella's fault for saying that she did not want him to lose this week and now he didn't lose, but he's out for the rest of the year.
[00:24:47] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:24:48] Speaker C: So it's all. It's all her fault. We can blame her.
[00:24:51] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:24:51] Speaker A: Ella, damn you. But then also see, like I was kind of also on the same opinion is like I would not. I don't know if I would book that match and then have Hologram lose.
[00:25:01] Speaker B: Well, and it would have been.
What happens in this coming match.
You. It would have been the story stuff with Clone that's coming. Like clone, which we'll get into here. But it all.
[00:25:15] Speaker C: El Clon is a.
[00:25:20] Speaker A: All right. So that brings us to our second match, the TNT championship match. Kyle Fletcher defending against King of Sloth style, Orange Cassidy. Oh, boy. Thank God Don Callis was not on commentary for this one.
[00:25:33] Speaker B: That was a nice break.
[00:25:35] Speaker A: He was. Yeah. He was just actually doing his managerial duties.
[00:25:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:25:39] Speaker B: I like Don Callis on commentary, but like one match a show.
[00:25:43] Speaker A: Yes. We don't. Or at least not back to back.
[00:25:47] Speaker B: Yeah. Definitely not.
[00:25:48] Speaker C: It's great to see Orange Cassidy back.
[00:25:50] Speaker A: I was so happy. He was fantastic.
[00:25:52] Speaker C: It feels right.
[00:25:53] Speaker A: He was really good in this match.
[00:25:55] Speaker B: He's a good plug in. If you can't have hologram, it's like, all right, who else is gonna put on an amazing.
[00:26:00] Speaker A: It's like, oh, crap. Who do we put in a random work rate match in the middle of a show? Big show. Orange Cassidy. That's who the all faithful. This was awesome.
[00:26:11] Speaker B: Yeah, it was a great match too. They have good chemistry.
[00:26:14] Speaker A: Very good match. Kind of the story of the match was Orange sort of throwing off Fletcher with his. His gimmick, but Fletcher also not letting him fully get it locked in. So like he kept trying to put the hands in the pockets. And Fletcher kept stopping him.
[00:26:33] Speaker B: I felt like it was really like a power versus technique match, too, where, like, it was Fletcher's strength and, like, heavy strikes versus Orange Cassidy's agility and, like, guile.
[00:26:42] Speaker C: You saw it right away at the start of the match where they're, like, both going back and forth, trying to do the, the flashpin, quick pins on each other. It's like, okay, I'm gonna do a backslide. Like, well, nope, I'm gonna struggle out. Yeah, just not do it. I'm gonna do the roll up and.
[00:26:58] Speaker A: No.
[00:26:58] Speaker C: No, you're not.
[00:26:59] Speaker A: I wish I had, like, a lot to say about it the match. Like, I do, but, like, like, there wasn't, like, a lot of, like, big spots.
[00:27:06] Speaker B: It wasn't. Yeah, it was a fine. It was a good match, but, like, it kind of.
[00:27:10] Speaker A: It was very good.
[00:27:11] Speaker B: Was thrown together too.
[00:27:13] Speaker A: It was very good. And it felt like they just left a lot to.
They left a lot for a rematch.
[00:27:19] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:27:20] Speaker B: Essentially at 1.2, Taz is talking about or putting Orange Cassidy's feet in his pockets, and he chuckles. He goes, that would, you know, his feet in his pockets. That would be weird. Can you imagine that, Danielson?
[00:27:31] Speaker A: He's like, that's the length of his pants.
[00:27:34] Speaker C: Yeah, that's what the legs are for.
[00:27:38] Speaker B: I did start imagining somebody with their feets, like, in their pockets, though. And he's right. It was very weird.
[00:27:44] Speaker A: You are right. Has. That would be weird.
When you're right, you're right. Yeah, like that.
[00:27:52] Speaker B: He addressed it to Danielson, too. Like, who else is gonna be thinking about Brian over there? What would his feet look like in his pockets?
[00:27:59] Speaker C: Just imagine him, like, looking down the commentary table. Like, wouldn't that be weird?
[00:28:04] Speaker A: I, I, I, I like the point that Excalibur brought up. Like, why, like, you know, Don Callis. Why would you align yourself with Don Callis when he, like, will definitely betray you eventually? And Danielson, correctly, I think, points out that Don Callis makes champions.
Yeah.
[00:28:24] Speaker B: Yeah. There are results. Yo.
[00:28:27] Speaker A: Everybody under him has had success before he turned on them. And a lot of wrestlers care about that success before.
[00:28:33] Speaker B: Like, you know, when was Kenny AEW champion underdog Dallas.
[00:28:38] Speaker C: Yeah, I think this is the start of the crowd being kinda shitty for the night with the.
[00:28:44] Speaker B: Yeah. Chanting. You can't wrestle it. Like, there's a lot. He's a heel. Fletcher's a heel. Obviously, chance some at him, but he can wrestle very well. That is genuinely, like, one of his defining traits.
[00:28:55] Speaker C: You can see him kind of like, Taking a back at it as he's.
[00:28:58] Speaker B: Like, yeah, me, like, yeah, I'm one of the people who can wrestle here.
[00:29:03] Speaker A: He. He played it out.
[00:29:05] Speaker B: He just hits a. He hits a body slam and just like stares at him. I thought that was great.
[00:29:10] Speaker A: He played. He played off it really well because he's. He's very good at that. But that was. That was really weird.
[00:29:18] Speaker B: Yeah. We'll get into more of this happening later too. It's just like they were a vocal crowd and it worked at some points.
[00:29:25] Speaker C: Like it felt like it was a.
[00:29:26] Speaker A: A.
[00:29:27] Speaker C: A crowd that like, oh, hey, there's wrestling going down. Down at the amphitheater.
Shucks, I haven't seen one of those since the wwf. Let's go check it out.
[00:29:38] Speaker B: Reminds me like one of the.
The GCW shows I went to was the same weekend that SummerSlam was in Detroit and Jeff Hardy was on the show. Like he came out and did like a spot at the end and the audience was full of like 8 year olds who just wanted to see Jeff Hardy. And they're watching GCW like light tube barbed wire. I've never seen so many upset children in my life. They kept me really mad that there weren't any tables. They're like, why are they gonna get the tables out? It's like they use doors because they're poor.
[00:30:14] Speaker A: Do you know how much it costs to gimmick a wooden table?
[00:30:16] Speaker B: Off door's like 10 bucks.
[00:30:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
Fletcher up horribly and puts Orange's hands in his own pockets.
And this allows him to Cassidy up.
[00:30:30] Speaker B: It's like trying to kill Godzilla with radiation. It doesn't work.
[00:30:33] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It did not work. And that was when Orange gets his big comeback. Gets all his good stuff. Stun dog Millionaire Tornado ddt.
[00:30:43] Speaker B: Yeah, he hits a lot of like great flying ddts this match.
[00:30:47] Speaker A: And then Fletcher just keeps cutting them off with like. Like he kills him with the Michinoku driver.
[00:30:51] Speaker B: And then the like kicks he was delivering throughout match too.
[00:30:55] Speaker A: That tombstone he did. Yeah. Like, I love Orange Cassidy and it very much. I love him because he takes a beating like no one else.
[00:31:05] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. And Fletcher is great at selling. He's great at bumping.
[00:31:08] Speaker A: Fletcher is so willing to oblige.
So then we get to the finish. Fletcher is on the ropes. It looks like Orange might be able to pull out the win, but Don Callis gets involved. And who comes out? It's Hologram. I thought he was hologram. I thought he was dead, but. And he. He makes a save. But it's a swerve. And he swerves. Orange Cassidy Fletcher hits the tap rope. Brain buster.
Brain buster. And wins.
[00:31:42] Speaker B: I'm sorry. Hologram being dead. Just go kill him.
[00:31:51] Speaker A: So they. They attack.
The conglomeration comes out. I guess Roddy Strong actually is conglomerating with them.
[00:31:58] Speaker B: Yeah, he's just kind of been cool with it lately.
Got over his ishi left once he. She was gone. He's like, yeah, no, I'm down. Yeah. For some reason, just nobody. She is just. That's the line too far for Roddy. Not gonna hang out with that stoic little man.
[00:32:14] Speaker A: I think he just wants to hit him.
Yeah.
[00:32:17] Speaker B: Just can't control it.
[00:32:18] Speaker A: He's like, you're. You're so punchable. You're so fun to hit. I'm sorry.
[00:32:26] Speaker B: Yeah. You've just chilled out since then.
[00:32:28] Speaker A: There's like, a satisfying smack when I elbow you in the face.
He's gone. Okay, we're cool.
Yeah. So. Yes. The how the hologram unmasks to reveal himself.
[00:32:43] Speaker B: I wrote hologram and quotes in all of my notes here because it was just the most obvious in the world.
[00:32:49] Speaker A: He unmasked to reveal himself to be not hologram, but a different mass wrestler. El clone Alberto.
[00:32:57] Speaker B: Yeah, Clone Alberto Del Clonal.
[00:33:01] Speaker A: Yes. They. They were. They were smart. They had him wear a shirt and jacket because, like, he's got.
[00:33:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:33:06] Speaker A: Like, the biggest tattoo.
[00:33:09] Speaker B: Hologram never wears that much.
Like.
[00:33:11] Speaker A: Yeah.
And the entire Don Callis family comes out onto the ramp.
There's. I don't know what's going on, but, like, we just got classic all elite audio issues.
The lights are doing.
There's stuff happening. They're all gloating.
Nobody knows what's going on.
[00:33:33] Speaker C: It's like playing Kyle Fletcher's music. There's, like, weird, like, this is the.
[00:33:38] Speaker B: They're doing the El clone glitch thing that they've been doing during the hologram.
[00:33:42] Speaker A: Over his music with the lights flashing.
[00:33:45] Speaker C: And everybody's, like, kind of standing there. El Clan, like, rips the mask off, tears the shirt off. Doesn't quite get all of it. Tries to, like, undo the rest. Just lets it hang there. And it's like.
[00:33:55] Speaker A: Yeah. And everybody's just kind of standing there.
[00:33:57] Speaker C: Like.
[00:34:00] Speaker B: I think what Safe to say this did not land.
[00:34:03] Speaker C: It did not.
[00:34:05] Speaker A: It's.
[00:34:05] Speaker B: It's. It's because of the injury. If this had been hologram in the match and the story happening to hologram, it's been building. I think it had more potential.
[00:34:15] Speaker A: I think the big story is just, like the Don Callis family keeps getting bigger. People are now saying, like, it's like the NWO is that guys.
Not every fact. Heel faction that gets filled with lots of people is the nwo. Yeah.
[00:34:30] Speaker B: I will say I could use one more heel faction, like, in the main roster stuff. Like, I really feel like they could have brought up Los Faxion. Ignorable, you know, Roche and them. Now that Sammy's a heel and he's part of it, they're getting like, it's really good. I've been watching Roh because I got that free month for the screwed up pay per view.
They could have easily included Andrade or El Clone could have joined that faction. And they had, like, more than just 20 people in the Death Riders or not the Death Riders. Yeah. Don Callis family.
[00:35:02] Speaker A: It works, but it's still kind of weird, I guess.
[00:35:05] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:35:06] Speaker A: I don't know.
[00:35:06] Speaker B: It just.
I get like, we got the Death Riders and we got the Don Callis family. And it's just like, all the heels in the company are these fall under these two umbrellas.
[00:35:16] Speaker A: I just think that it works because Don keeps putting in, like, volatile personalities, like big egos. Like, you can very easily see how this is going to implode.
[00:35:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:35:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Like, obviously it's. Takeshita's already being built to leave. That's gonna be sooner rather than later. Maybe he'll take, like, Rocky with him or something too.
[00:35:37] Speaker A: Go to the back. Renee is with Mercedes Monet. She is very close to approaching the record for longest time holding the TBS title.
And she's also focused on winning a 10th belt. But she wants to be a fighting champion. And she issues a challenge for a local talent.
[00:35:56] Speaker B: Anyone from Florida. So gonna be the Taskmaster.
[00:36:02] Speaker C: Ghost of the Taskmaster.
[00:36:03] Speaker A: Ghost of the Task.
[00:36:06] Speaker B: Evan Sullivan. I was like, I don't know why I was struggling with that name so much.
Versus Mercedes.
I respect you, Ghost, man.
[00:36:20] Speaker A: It's gonna be.
No, no. Jimmy Hart's from Asheville, I think. Never mind.
[00:36:25] Speaker B: Yeah, but he probably lives in.
[00:36:26] Speaker C: He's got a legend contract.
[00:36:28] Speaker A: Oh, no. Oh, that's all.
[00:36:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
All the Hogan Orbiters probably live in. They probably go a little Hogan town down there. Yeah, baby.
[00:36:36] Speaker A: Fighter. Yeah, daddy.
[00:36:38] Speaker C: I'm a lifer now. I can't work anywhere else.
[00:36:39] Speaker A: Huh?
We're gonna get Mercedes versus the Nasty Boys.
[00:36:48] Speaker B: Going to Pity City.
[00:36:52] Speaker A: But she also brings up the. That the. The women's tag team title tournament is coming. And she's interested in that as well. Which cues the return of a legend. Puppet Monet is here.
[00:37:05] Speaker B: God, I love this.
[00:37:07] Speaker A: Harley. Harley.
Harley's Harley Cameron wants to team with Mercedes. She wants to team with everybody.
[00:37:14] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:37:15] Speaker B: Very into this.
[00:37:16] Speaker A: Mercedes is like off and leaves and that's the end of the segment.
[00:37:22] Speaker B: Mercedes raises a good point, though. She's like, I teamed with you before and we lost. It didn't work.
[00:37:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:37:31] Speaker B: I do love Harley.
It's just one of the most talented people in the world. Like how? Like being good at wrestling, being a good singer, playing guitar well. And being really good at ventriloquism too.
[00:37:43] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:37:44] Speaker B: This is such an insane, like RPG character skill set.
I think she also speaks Mandarin Chinese.
[00:37:51] Speaker A: Yeah. She's like the vaudeville.
[00:37:53] Speaker C: Everything is like just shoved into charisma.
[00:37:57] Speaker B: Yeah.
Max. Max charisma of max intelligence. 10. 10. Everything else is zero.
[00:38:03] Speaker C: Yeah. We run all or nothing Bills.
[00:38:05] Speaker B: Wild West Perk.
It's just puppets.
[00:38:11] Speaker A: Just puppets.
[00:38:13] Speaker B: I would watch Harley Cameron in the Fallout Universe next season. Come on.
[00:38:17] Speaker A: Come on. Do it. Oh, I don't know who runs that show. Amazon, Whatever the.
[00:38:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Jeff Bezos. Yeah.
[00:38:23] Speaker A: Come on, Tony.
Book it. Tony Khan. Bezos.
All right, we have another match. Who knew? This is Death. A trio's match. Death Riders John Moxley, Claudia Cassioli and Daniel Garcia versus the Ops of Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs who are teaming with Champion Hangman Adam. The Ops are out for revenge because Shibata got hurt.
I don't know if he's actually hurt or if he's just in Japan.
[00:38:49] Speaker B: I think he's. No, I think he is legit hurt. I think rc, he might be recovered by now, but yeah, I think he was actually injured after the Garcia match.
[00:38:57] Speaker A: I kind of did. This was weird. This is a weird match.
[00:39:02] Speaker B: Yeah, there was cool. But yeah, like basically Powerhouse Ops was like the star of the match.
[00:39:07] Speaker A: Yeah. Kind of what was happening was Joe was being pissy about a lot of stuff. Like he was just in a bad mood. Grumpy Joe, Grumpy Joe. And they.
[00:39:18] Speaker B: He's not sweet tooth anymore, so he's all angry.
[00:39:23] Speaker A: I don't share like Will or Ned anymore. That's how he sounds.
[00:39:28] Speaker B: There should be one dynamite where it's like every time Joe cuts up Arrested Development dialogue over it.
[00:39:36] Speaker C: Harley Cameron has the puppet he had in the show.
[00:39:40] Speaker B: Yeah. Franklin.
[00:39:41] Speaker A: Yeah.
I've made a huge mistake.
I mean this. This was. There wasn't a lot to this. That it was really more for the post match.
Yeah. Thing. But it did have some cool stuff in it. Will Hobbs was kind of the star of the face team and he is. He is so good.
[00:40:02] Speaker B: He's really, like.
Like, he was always, you know, a good presence, and, like, did the strong man act well, but he's, like, well round. He's rounded it out into being such a, like, good wrestler.
[00:40:12] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:40:12] Speaker A: Gotten so much better. And, like, I do. I love.
I noted that, like, I love hearing Taz talk about him on commentary because, yeah, like, you can tell that, like, it was. He was really, really happy to have.
[00:40:26] Speaker B: Hobbs because, yeah, I would be surprised if Taz was, like, a real backstage, like, booster of ops, honestly. I think Mox likes him a lot, too, because he always gives a lot to Hobbs.
[00:40:35] Speaker A: Yes. Yes, he does.
I. I didn't really have a whole lot of spots written down for this.
[00:40:42] Speaker C: Mostly just the big old ending that.
[00:40:45] Speaker A: Yeah, I did, like. I did, like, Taz's line about somebody got thrown. I guess Hobbs got thrown as, like. Like, a Fiat landed on the mat or any other car.
It has to be Italian. Says Excalibur.
[00:41:03] Speaker C: I think it was Excalibur also.
They had Will Hobbs down, and they went and did, like, the wishbone spot. And, like, eight seconds later, you just hear Excalibur kind of under his breath, just wishbone Jones.
[00:41:19] Speaker B: It's become just, like, a thing they say naturally now. I think he doesn't even want it as a joke. He just can't help himself.
[00:41:26] Speaker A: It's a compulsion.
[00:41:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:41:29] Speaker C: Really.
[00:41:30] Speaker B: I say the only, like, really good spot I had was Hobbs catching Mox off the dive, throwing him back into the apron, and then catch him in the slam, and then, like, power dropping him onto the apron. Like, that was really cool.
[00:41:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: Everything else was just, like, you know, a lot of standard Claudio offense, which is always good.
[00:41:47] Speaker A: They had. They had the heat on Hobbs for a while and then. But, like, I really enjoyed his comeback and getting the hot tag because, like, he was trying to push Claudio to the other corner, and, like, he's just trying to power through him. Claudio's stopping him, and, like, he just lifts up. Claudio moves him.
[00:42:06] Speaker B: Yeah, that was cool.
[00:42:07] Speaker A: Like, that was so cool. It's like. And that, again, like, the only guy that, like, gets, like, a spot like that who, like, makes it work like, yes, this dude is strong. All right. So he does get that hot tag. There's a little bit of miscommunication as Hangman takes the tag. Joe wanted it. Yeah. But it breaks down Mox. It ends like. You end up killing, like, a quick Hangman Mox showdown.
Moxie's a buckshot. Claudio does a gigantic uppercut on Hangman, but then The Ops take out Mox and Garcia, and then Hangman nails Claudia with another buckshot. And that's it.
[00:42:45] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a dead eye and buckshot.
[00:42:47] Speaker A: Buckshot.
[00:42:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:42:49] Speaker A: Hangman wins.
[00:42:50] Speaker B: It's a good little finishing streak.
[00:42:51] Speaker A: Yeah, it was a good finish. And then the real purpose of this match is we get to the post match.
Hangman's fired up. He gets his title.
He gets, he gets the, the two Trios titles. And he hands it for. He hands Hobbs his forcefully. And Hobbs like, yes, thank you. And then he goes to do the same to Joe. Joe's not ready. And it just like, kind of bounces off his chest and it's the floor.
[00:43:16] Speaker B: He kind of threw it on him.
[00:43:18] Speaker A: And Joe, Joe looks down, looks at Hangman.
It's like.
[00:43:25] Speaker C: Like you can see Will. Will Hobbs be like, dude, just.
[00:43:29] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, come on. No, no, no, no.
[00:43:38] Speaker B: But, like, this ruled, in my opinion.
[00:43:42] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:43:42] Speaker C: I'm immediately excited about this.
[00:43:45] Speaker A: I liked it.
[00:43:46] Speaker B: So Joe should be, like, pissed at a drop of a hat. Joe's a monster. Like, he should be like, you don't disrespect him in any way. Or he gets mad.
[00:43:54] Speaker A: So he, he's already in a bad mood just being in the match. He was a bad mood that Hangman took the tag and now this has happened. He gets in Hangman's face. They go back and forth. Hangman just like, what the, dude?
[00:44:07] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:44:08] Speaker B: Hangman doesn't even know what's happening.
[00:44:09] Speaker A: Yeah, he's, he's like, what? I don't do what, what did I do?
[00:44:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:44:13] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:44:14] Speaker A: Security comes out.
Joe is now, like, just screaming at Hangman, is like, you've never beaten.
[00:44:22] Speaker B: Yeah. I think at some point he says, I'm gonna you in the ass.
Like, very loudly.
[00:44:28] Speaker A: Oh, that ass.
That ass.
[00:44:34] Speaker B: Joe was driving so many F bombs, like, and it just came across. So, you know, the TV camera is like, just close enough at all.
[00:44:40] Speaker C: That's awesome.
[00:44:41] Speaker A: The only thing I could really think of after watching all that, I was like, boy, men sure do have problems being emotional.
[00:44:51] Speaker B: That's what gives us wrestling.
[00:44:52] Speaker A: That's what gives us wrestling.
I, I, I loved it. It was, it's just like, especially what we get later.
[00:44:59] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:45:00] Speaker A: So we get a Jet Speed and Willow promo, and they have each other's back.
[00:45:05] Speaker B: Team people I like a lot.
[00:45:07] Speaker A: Yes. Willow Willows volunteers to kill Stokely so that Jet Speed can beat ftr. Kevin Knight issues a challenge for any member of FTR in a singles match. Stokely accepts, but won't say who.
Which, which member he's going to face That'll happen on Collision.
Apparently he hates Willow more than anyone else on the planet, which I think is really funny. And also. Yeah, like that. That goes to the Indies.
[00:45:38] Speaker B: Yeah. Well, and then he was with Willow and Staff for their too.
[00:45:41] Speaker A: Yep.
[00:45:42] Speaker B: He also says he has a surprise for Willow, so I'm intrigued to see what that. Could it be Willow. Willow says she's gonna be, like, out there to support Jet speed, so I wonder if they're gonna bring in FTR Woman.
[00:45:55] Speaker A: FTR girl.
[00:45:56] Speaker B: Yeah, it could be Ronda Rousey.
[00:46:03] Speaker A: I know that there's.
[00:46:04] Speaker B: Would be cool.
[00:46:05] Speaker A: Yeah. There's talk that Shayna Baszler's coming in. I don't know if that. That seems like just talk at this point.
[00:46:12] Speaker B: Yeah, she was doing some, like, production stuff for WWE and, like, training too, so she's probably just gonna settle into a role there. It'd be cool, though. I always like Shayna Baszler quite a bit. I like. I love jetspeed and Willow together. That is just, like, such a fun combination.
[00:46:26] Speaker A: Yeah, they're fun.
And just like, I'm happy whenever Willow's on tv, which I think pure charisma. Yeah. Yeah, it makes me happy. All right. Hangman Page is with Renee.
Says this is the dumbest he's seen in six years.
But he knows what Joe's problem is. He will. He. He wants a title shot, and Paige will give it to him.
Hangman Page versus Samoa Joe at Wrestle Dream. If Joe throws another fit like that at him again, Paige will ruin his.
[00:47:00] Speaker B: We also had some audio issues making an appearance again.
Yeah.
[00:47:07] Speaker A: Oh. Oh, no. Yeah. Like, you can't have an anniversary a like Dynamite without audio issues.
[00:47:12] Speaker C: It's true.
[00:47:13] Speaker B: Exactly. I'm so excited. Joe versus Hangman is a great match too. This is gonna rule, like.
[00:47:20] Speaker A: Yeah, it feels. I don't want to say. Well, no, it is pretty much out of nowhere. Like, I was not. I didn't know who they were gonna have challenge Hangman next. And the fact they went for Joe.
[00:47:31] Speaker B: It did catch me off guard.
[00:47:33] Speaker A: Incredible.
[00:47:34] Speaker B: And, yeah, it's gonna rip. I mean, Joe is one of the best wrestlers in the company for a very long time. And let them just cut like crazy screaming promos at each other for the next couple weeks. I will eat that with a spoon.
[00:47:46] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:47:47] Speaker B: I love both of them. Men yelling.
[00:47:49] Speaker C: I'm immediately interested in. Yeah, what those two are gonna do.
[00:47:54] Speaker A: I did not see it coming. And then here it is.
[00:47:56] Speaker B: Hangman's gonna burn down all of Samoa.
[00:48:01] Speaker A: I want to Go sitting on a.
[00:48:03] Speaker B: Boat, on a chair drinking.
[00:48:08] Speaker A: Is he gonna burn down American Samoa or the regular Samoa?
[00:48:12] Speaker B: I'm not gonna lie. Geography Jones has left the building.
[00:48:18] Speaker A: That's not geography. It's a basic question, man. Come on, come on.
[00:48:22] Speaker B: No, I don't even know where Samoa. I know it's a Pacific island.
[00:48:26] Speaker A: It's like a boat, right?
[00:48:28] Speaker B: Yeah. I want to be able to pick it out on a map, that's for sure.
[00:48:32] Speaker A: I couldn't either. Product of the American system, man.
Yee haw.
[00:48:38] Speaker B: If it ain't usa, I don't know it.
[00:48:41] Speaker A: Speaking of usa, there were no Americans in this.
It's. Well, I actually don't know. Maybe time Mellow is got a citizenship.
[00:48:49] Speaker B: Yeah, she might be legally, but yeah, she's from Brazil.
[00:48:51] Speaker A: Anyway, it's timeless Toni Storm versus Tay Mellow Carnival.
There is no running.
[00:49:02] Speaker B: The only thing that possibly I had.
[00:49:03] Speaker A: With Brazil, I think about sword meat. Have you ever had Brazilian sword meat?
[00:49:09] Speaker B: No, but how do you cook the sword?
[00:49:12] Speaker A: You put, you put the meat on a sword and then like you go to the restaurant and like they cut it off the sword with another sword, I think. And there's like.
Yeah, there's like a little. You know, I think I maybe saw.
[00:49:24] Speaker B: Like Anthony Bourdain talk about this. Yeah, that's how that does ring about.
[00:49:28] Speaker A: It's like a thing you put on the table where like if it's green, they keep. They just like bring you.
[00:49:33] Speaker C: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:49:34] Speaker A: Constantly. And then if it's red, like they're like, all right, we're gonna let them digest and no.
[00:49:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I've definitely seen that on some kind of travel show. Yeah, it looks delicious.
[00:49:42] Speaker A: I've never had it, but it looks good.
[00:49:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:49:45] Speaker A: But I'm an expert apparently.
Erica Bourdain.
[00:49:49] Speaker B: Yes. All I knew was Carnival.
[00:49:53] Speaker A: Yay.
All right, timeless Toni Storm versus Tay Melo. This is apparently a first time match which is I news to me. But like I guess they never really.
[00:50:05] Speaker B: I mean Tay was. Or yeah, she was out with pregnancy and stuff kind of when Tony was like getting into the company and ascending and stuff. And they haven't really had like times the crossover besides that Tony is in a sick ass looking suit though.
[00:50:18] Speaker A: She looks really good. They, they even comment on it that she looks, it's, she's. It's kind of like a noir look, like a detective noir look. So she's got.
[00:50:29] Speaker B: It's like. Yeah, like a little tuxedo thing, slick.
[00:50:32] Speaker A: Back, hair vests, pants.
[00:50:34] Speaker C: Very private eye looking.
[00:50:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Almost red Red lipstick. That looks sick.
[00:50:39] Speaker A: Taz is like, is it raining? Is that why her hair is wet? Is like, you. You work at a. You work in wrestling, dude. Everybody's hair is wet.
You work with. You work pack.
[00:50:51] Speaker B: 80 of the people you work with are wet all the time.
[00:50:54] Speaker C: He hasn't been able to have wet hair for about 30 years. So give the man a break, right.
[00:51:01] Speaker B: Off the top of him.
[00:51:01] Speaker A: I don't remember the last time Taz.
[00:51:03] Speaker B: Had hair, did he? He might have had hair when he was, like, the Tasmanian Devil, like, jungle guy.
I think, Mr. Taz. Yeah, I think that was. I even think that was, like, a buzz cut.
[00:51:13] Speaker C: Yeah, he had, like, a mohawk. And it's like, this is weird for.
[00:51:16] Speaker B: A jungle guy gimmick to have short hair, like.
And maybe he didn't. I've only seen the pictures, and I don't remember things a lot.
[00:51:25] Speaker A: So this match itself was quite good, I thought.
Yeah, they complemented each other really well. I haven't seen a whole lot of Tay since she's been back.
[00:51:35] Speaker B: She's. She's good. She is genuinely very good wrestler.
[00:51:39] Speaker A: Yeah, she looked good here.
She kind of was able to use her Brazilian jiu jitsu background to keep Tony off. Off of her game. And she looked to be trying to, like, go after.
I think her finisher is Fujiwara Armbar or something like that.
[00:51:56] Speaker B: I think so.
[00:51:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:51:57] Speaker A: A lot of her offense was built around attacking Tony's army.
The crowd, though, sucked. They were very noticeably quiet for this. Like, they were. They popped for Tony and all that, but, like, they sat on their hands, which was, yeah, extremely.
[00:52:12] Speaker B: I mean, this. This wasn't like. There wasn't a ton to this match. It was kind of a. It wasn't a semi squash, but it was pretty perfunctory.
[00:52:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[00:52:22] Speaker B: Even then, they got some stuff in, but, you know, and I'm not excusing the crowd, I'm just saying.
[00:52:27] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah, it. There wasn't a lot. Yeah, there wasn't a lot to it, but I think that's why I was so impressed with it, because they. They worked a really solid.
[00:52:35] Speaker B: Yeah, they got a lot out of a little.
[00:52:37] Speaker A: So Tay's looking for her finisher, Tay Ko.
But Tony reverses it. It's a hip attack. Storm 0 for the win. Camera goes black and white, and she.
[00:52:48] Speaker B: Grabs a mic and the show starts sucking. And the crowd, not because of her.
[00:52:53] Speaker A: She cuts this great promo about how.
[00:52:57] Speaker B: Was such a good pro.
[00:52:58] Speaker C: Yeah, that, like, I was really.
Yeah, I couldn't focus on. Because the Crowd is.
[00:53:04] Speaker B: Yeah. Doing well. We might as well just say doing what Chance to Toni Storm in the year of our Lord 2020.
It has been everybody online's about it. It was stupid and awful.
[00:53:15] Speaker A: Like it's a bad look for Florida.
[00:53:18] Speaker C: Say it ain't so.
[00:53:20] Speaker A: Not in Florida. The home of nxt, the company that has never had an crowd ever.
Honestly. Like so like the, the, the, the content of the promo was basically, you know, she wanted a challenge and she had her four way match that she like she asked for the four way match and she lost but she felt nothing afterwards. Like she like it was not a satisfying end for her.
[00:53:50] Speaker B: I got, she wrote the stuff where she said like after she lost it all out, she didn't hear victory, she didn't hear defeat. He heard nothing. A silence so big it swallowed her. I was like, this is some literary ass. Like, yeah, just so well written. I'm sorry to keep going on about the crowd, but it just killed it.
[00:54:08] Speaker A: No, like that. That was perfect.
That was exactly what she said. So without the title, she's no 1.
She wants Kris Statlander one on one for the title at Wrestle Dream. So that challenge has been laid out, which.
[00:54:21] Speaker B: Yeah, that's awesome.
[00:54:22] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm ready for that. Apparently they've never wrestled one on one either.
[00:54:26] Speaker B: Which again, yeah, I believe it.
[00:54:29] Speaker A: I, I think that's true. Like they, there was, there was a period where the timeless gimmick was very walled off from the rest.
[00:54:39] Speaker B: Yeah, I mean it was just like it was just Mina and Mariah May for like a year.
[00:54:42] Speaker A: Like, and I really thought like the. They were building to.
[00:54:47] Speaker B: And I guess Stat was gone for a while too.
[00:54:49] Speaker A: Like. No, well that, yes, that was gone for a while. But like she was also a heel with Stokely for a lot of that.
[00:54:56] Speaker B: Period and she was focused on Willow more.
[00:54:59] Speaker A: I thought like that the. They were going to end up building towards Willow versus Tony before they went with Mariah.
But yeah, like they, they, Willow and Stat were doing their own thing during the height of the timeless gimmick. So.
[00:55:16] Speaker B: Yeah, I guess it makes sense.
[00:55:18] Speaker A: Yeah. So first time matchup.
[00:55:21] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:55:21] Speaker C: Oh yeah.
[00:55:22] Speaker B: First time singles.
[00:55:23] Speaker A: Yeah, first time singles. Yay.
I'm excited.
[00:55:27] Speaker B: I mean they were great in the four way match together. Like and they're both really like on quite a hot streak right now. Tony's still right and I and Stats like doing some of the best she's ever done. So there's a rule that Hangman Joe. That's awesome.
[00:55:40] Speaker C: Like, yeah, it's already shaping up to Be a good pay per view.
[00:55:43] Speaker B: Yeah. Even with Darby and Mox again, I'm like, it'll still probably be.
[00:55:46] Speaker A: It'll be a murder.
Yeah. Can you stand to watch a murder? I can stand to watch.
[00:55:53] Speaker B: I'll spend 49.99 to watch it on Amazon.
[00:55:56] Speaker A: 49.99 dollars to watch Murder Little twink and face paint stab a 40 year old guy from Cleveland in the face with a fork.
[00:56:09] Speaker B: If Wheeler Yuta gets lit on fire, it was all worth it.
[00:56:13] Speaker C: Usually they charge you more for that.
[00:56:17] Speaker B: I think you could do. The hair would go up like a torch.
[00:56:21] Speaker A: Yeah, that's why they won't do it.
[00:56:23] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:56:24] Speaker B: They're gonna bring in like a horrible stunt double. Like, it doesn't even look like him. Comes out. He's like, oh, no.
[00:56:30] Speaker A: Hey.
[00:56:35] Speaker B: George C. Scott.
[00:56:36] Speaker A: George Scott's back. Oh, no.
[00:56:39] Speaker B: From the top row.
[00:56:40] Speaker A: We're doomed.
[00:56:41] Speaker C: Ah, my hair.
[00:56:45] Speaker A: My beautiful locks is on fire.
And to say nothing about my flowing beard.
I'm Wheeler Yuta.
[00:56:58] Speaker B: You know, because I keep saying it.
[00:57:01] Speaker C: It's true.
[00:57:04] Speaker A: All right, so we get it.
[00:57:05] Speaker C: You know, a good impression is to say the name of the person you are. I'm the ghost of George.
[00:57:10] Speaker A: It's like, hey, I'm Wheeler Yuda. This is professional.
[00:57:14] Speaker B: Hey, I'm somebody doing George C. Scott. Doing. Really?
[00:57:20] Speaker A: Oh, God. I'm back for one episode and we're already back to this.
[00:57:23] Speaker B: If he. He follows you like a guy.
I don't think we talked about George C. Scott at all while you were.
[00:57:32] Speaker C: I'm not gonna say that very well.
[00:57:35] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't want to.
[00:57:36] Speaker A: We're gonna get haunted. We're gonna get haunted. And it's a spooky month, so that means the ghosts are more powerful.
[00:57:41] Speaker C: That's why he's back.
[00:57:50] Speaker A: All right.
God.
All right, so there's a. We got a promo for a match that's coming on collision where Eddie Kingston is going to.
[00:58:00] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm Eddie Kingston.
[00:58:01] Speaker A: I'm Eddie Kingston.
I'm a bomb.
[00:58:07] Speaker B: Honestly, the jersey, the voices aren't that far off.
[00:58:11] Speaker A: So we get. We get Sammy Guevara, who's all like, I'm a bad guy now. Sammy Guevara.
[00:58:26] Speaker B: My face turns never work.
[00:58:31] Speaker A: So it's gonna kill my throat.
I know.
[00:58:34] Speaker B: I'm gonna drink some water.
[00:58:35] Speaker A: He talks about how he's got history with Eddie Kingston. And we get video of Eddie Kingston murdering Sammy a couple times.
Classic.
[00:58:44] Speaker B: Like, Sammy said something in Spanish and Eddie's like, oh, so now all of a sudden Sammy knows how to speak Spanish.
[00:58:50] Speaker A: Well, I don't.
[00:58:52] Speaker B: I guess the running thing is that Sammy Guevara does not know how to speak Spanish. Like, I think it's like a BT thing.
[00:59:01] Speaker A: Sammy is personally sending drolistico after Eddie Kingston because of LFI stuff. Eddie says don't let Sammy speak for him because you're the one that's going to get beat up on Saturday.
That's it. I'm excited for Eddie Kingston to be in a match even though I won't watch it until probably like they did a tag match.
[00:59:23] Speaker B: Last collision with Eddie and Hook versus Big Bill and Brian Keith. And it was much better than the all out man. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was very solid. I think he was just a little, you know, maybe ring rusty that. Because that. That was good.
[00:59:38] Speaker A: His emotions were up. It got the better of him.
[00:59:41] Speaker B: Yeah. And I'm all for Eddie vs. LFI. Like if it leads to Eddie vs. Rouge at the end, that is sick.
[00:59:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:59:49] Speaker A: That is going to be disgusting. Speaking of disgusting, in front of a pickleball sign, we have Renee Paquette with Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs.
I don't know. It's not really disgusting. I just don't really care for pickleball.
[01:00:02] Speaker B: Yeah. I was gonna say what part of. Yeah.
[01:00:04] Speaker A: They're sweating.
[01:00:05] Speaker B: I don't know what part of this was disgusting.
[01:00:06] Speaker A: They're very sweaty still.
[01:00:08] Speaker B: They hit those pickles with the rackets. They splatter everywhere.
[01:00:11] Speaker A: Nasty. That's how you make relish in Florida.
Boo. I don't know. I'm sorry. Florida.
[01:00:19] Speaker B: I'm George C. Scott and that's good eating.
[01:00:25] Speaker A: I like the pickles and the.
[01:00:30] Speaker B: Yeah, with some sauerkraut, the juice anvil.
[01:00:35] Speaker A: You ever have a Russian salad? It's when you thaw out some frozen vegetables, put some mayonnaise and chopped up gherkin. It's delicious. It's cold. You serve it cold just like they eat in Russia.
Sorry.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
[01:00:58] Speaker B: Get the hell out of here. Try to do an interview with.
[01:01:01] Speaker A: Yeah. All right. So Renee's with Joe and Hobbs and. All right, so Joe's not surprised by Adam Page. He's like, are we really friends and allies? And maybe he's forgotten that he's Samoa Joe. I don't know how.
[01:01:14] Speaker B: Yeah. Got a mirror?
[01:01:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:01:16] Speaker B: How you forget Metal checks addressed to Samoa Joe.
[01:01:19] Speaker A: Unless he means, like, I'm Samoa Joe. I guess he means Samoa Joe. The murderer. He's been too.
[01:01:25] Speaker B: Yeah, he has been like a nice guy, like happy face for a little bit here.
And it's like, I very cool with him. Re awakening that kind of killer instinct.
[01:01:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:01:35] Speaker A: Yeah. He says he's been pre too preoccupied with the Death Riders. Paige has never beaten him. And there's not a day goes by where Joe isn't better than him. This is Cowboy, but you're standing in front of Samoa Joe. Allow me to introduce you to a world of deep.
I hear.
All right. Yeah.
[01:01:54] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:01:54] Speaker A: No, no. I got into it.
[01:01:56] Speaker B: I like the promo. Yeah. Joe is intense. I. I've even hobbs by the end of. It's just like, all right, we're doing it.
[01:02:03] Speaker A: All right. Sorry, man.
I think it's feel. I. I don't remember Wrestle Dream that well last year, but I remember, like, the whole point of Wrestle Dream was putting together, like, fresh matches, stuff you haven't seen before.
Dream matches, basically. Like, that was. That was where they did Okada versus Danielson the first time, I think. Right. Or was that for.
[01:02:26] Speaker B: I think you're right. Yeah. No, I think. I don't know.
[01:02:29] Speaker A: Are they. Or maybe Zack Sabre Jr. And Danielson was at Wrestle Dream. Point is is like the two world title matches now are Samoa Joe versus Hangman Pain, and which nobody was expecting. And everybody's just like, okay, yeah. Yes. And then Toni Storm versus Chris Statlander and a first time ever met. Like, yeah, let's go. Awesome. I'm into it. Yeah.
[01:02:51] Speaker B: Fresh programs.
[01:02:53] Speaker A: Fresh program.
Speaking of fresh programs, our next match. The Goa. Goa vs Blake Christian. Shoddy Lee Johnson. The swirl.
[01:03:04] Speaker C: The swirl.
[01:03:06] Speaker A: The swirl. It's the swirl. Oh, Like. Like chocolate and vanilla ice cream. And Ricochet is on commentary.
This is this. There. There's so, like, there is a story to this. This is Blake Christian got jumped by GOA when they formed the demand with Ricochet.
So this is.
[01:03:30] Speaker B: Yeah, because originally there was, like, the kind of thing where they were recruiting Ricochet. It seemed like Ricochet might take on the swirl, and then they just beat the out of them instead. Yes.
[01:03:41] Speaker A: Which I would do too. That. Yeah. They're beatable.
They're beatable. They're very beatable, as we learned in this match.
[01:03:49] Speaker C: Very much so.
[01:03:50] Speaker A: Ricochet is unhappy because he has to sit next to Danielson until Danielson, like, call is like, yeah.
[01:03:58] Speaker B: Gets pissed at him because he's smiley, and he's like, why are you smiling?
[01:04:01] Speaker A: It's like, because I get to sit next to Ricochet, one of the best athletes at aew.
[01:04:07] Speaker B: Yeah.
Ricochet melted a little at that. That was a really cute moment.
[01:04:13] Speaker A: So I expected this to be just like a straight murder of A squash almost was. The swirl gets some. Get some good offense in. Yeah.
[01:04:22] Speaker B: Yeah. Lee Johnson gets, like, a hot tag where he gets to kind of run wild for a minute.
[01:04:26] Speaker A: Yeah, it was. It was all right.
[01:04:29] Speaker B: It was entirely. Yeah. I mean, that was. It was fine. It was. Well, was probably what it should have been with Goa just getting the kill in.
[01:04:37] Speaker C: You used the word perfunctory earlier. And this is another match that I think maybe more so.
[01:04:44] Speaker A: Fits that even more so.
[01:04:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
Agreed. Yeah.
[01:04:47] Speaker A: I mean, really, the highlight of this match for me was during the commercial, like, apparently some. Somebody in the crowd was like, you don't suck to Ricochet.
[01:04:56] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:04:57] Speaker A: And Danielson just, like, starts repeatedly going like, yeah, that's right. You don't suck.
You.
[01:05:03] Speaker B: I also don't think you suck. I also think. You don't say. He just.
So it's Attic.
[01:05:11] Speaker A: Ricochet.
Danielson's being passive aggressive towards you. It's like, what?
Not Danielson.
[01:05:20] Speaker B: Excaliburg. Yeah. Gets pissed because he's like. They can't hear the guy.
[01:05:29] Speaker A: I know.
[01:05:30] Speaker C: That's why I'm reiterating that he said that. And I also don't think Ricochet sucks.
[01:05:40] Speaker A: I was. I was not expecting.
Oh, hey, you know, it does suck. Life for break. Blake Christian, to which Excalibur says. I thought you were going to say this audio.
Yeah.
That's how you know how bad it was. If they're even. Just still talking about if, like, even commentaries like this audio sucks.
[01:06:04] Speaker C: Yeah, they.
Because if. If they're saying that, I can't imagine what kind of. They're dealing with in the head, like in the headphones and stuff.
[01:06:13] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:06:14] Speaker B: Because just screaming.
[01:06:16] Speaker A: They. They also spend time making fun of Blake Christian's belt because he's wearing tights with a belt.
Like, there's loops on. I don't know. I don't know why wrestlers do that. It's dumb.
[01:06:29] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:06:30] Speaker C: I guess the belt broke, and then you just see him, like, take it off and throw it outside the ring as they're in the middle of insulting it. It was.
[01:06:39] Speaker A: It was really. It kind of tells you, like, all you really need to know. Yeah.
[01:06:44] Speaker B: Most of what we had to say about it has been the commentary.
[01:06:48] Speaker A: Commentary talk.
[01:06:50] Speaker C: It existed to set up the. The Hurt Syndicate coming out.
[01:06:53] Speaker A: Yes. So again, perfunctory finish. The swirl. Get a couple dives, but then they try more dives, get caught, murdered.
Double choke slam to Blake. Got double choke slam. That's it.
[01:07:08] Speaker B: No, I think it was Lee. We could be wrong.
[01:07:10] Speaker A: Somebody died. One of the two.
[01:07:11] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:07:13] Speaker A: I should be able to tell them apart because, you know, they. They make sure to let you know, one's black, one's white. They're the Lenny and Carl of the tag team division.
[01:07:22] Speaker B: But they form one whole ice cream.
[01:07:24] Speaker A: Yes. They're hungry.
[01:07:25] Speaker B: Every time I.
[01:07:26] Speaker A: You know what? I agree with that. It's like there's little plastic cups. They're like one half. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. With the wooden spoon. Yeah, that's what they should be called. They should be the Dixie cups.
Ricochet comes in, hits a spirit gun, and then Hurt syndicate come out. MVP asks if there's people from Florida in the Florida crowd. And he, like, lists some area codes.
[01:07:51] Speaker B: Yeah, it took me a sec until he was like, the 305. And I was like, oh, yeah, that was his. Like.
[01:07:56] Speaker A: Yeah, he was.
[01:07:57] Speaker B: Was like his nickname or something. Or like he had a finisher called the 305 or something.
[01:08:02] Speaker A: I remember he had the 305 on his gear at one point.
[01:08:06] Speaker B: Yeah, there's. It was tied in. I forgot he was like a Miami guy.
[01:08:09] Speaker A: Nobody. Nobody gives a. About area codes.
[01:08:13] Speaker B: Yeah. Dexter, get the out. It.
It's the only other person I could think of from Miami.
[01:08:19] Speaker A: Mia. Oh, is that where Will Smith goes?
[01:08:22] Speaker C: Yeah, he got that song.
[01:08:24] Speaker A: Welcome to Miami. Yeah. Where the heat is on. And the Something. Something.
[01:08:28] Speaker B: It was also about Dexter for the.
[01:08:30] Speaker A: Break of dawn, where the heat is on. And Dexter kills serial killers until the break of dawn. They're going to.
[01:08:39] Speaker C: And I'm here too.
George C. Scott from Miami. It's great.
[01:08:48] Speaker A: Seven, eight, six. I don't know what that means.
I love palm trees.
So, yeah, next week, he issues a challenge. He embarrassed. Well, first he says he embarrassed himself. And he challenges the demand to a street fight in Jacksonville next week.
[01:09:09] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:09:10] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:09:10] Speaker B: Maybe he's not like the wrestler he used to be, but he's definitely a better fighter than all of that.
[01:09:15] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:09:15] Speaker B: So I felt like. I thought this was gonna be set up like them introducing a new member of the Hurts. And, like, the way the promo was going, I thought they're gonna be like, MVP be like, yeah, I'm too old. And Alba, I got some fresh. He's like, no, I'm just gonna beat the out of you with no rules.
[01:09:29] Speaker C: Gonna show up to Daily's Place with a gun to win this match.
[01:09:33] Speaker A: That's what he should do. I don't know. Yeah, More wrestlers need to do that.
[01:09:37] Speaker B: The return of Arne Anderson.
[01:09:40] Speaker C: He needs to talk to Jungle Boy and get one of his knives.
[01:09:44] Speaker B: Yeah.
Don't bring a Jungle Boy to an Arne Anderson fight.
[01:09:51] Speaker A: But, like, he's a jungle Boy, so presumably he can throw the knife. Do you think about that? Like, because that's true.
[01:09:56] Speaker B: Well, only if he's swinging from a vine at the time.
[01:09:58] Speaker A: Okay. Yeah, yeah.
[01:10:00] Speaker B: As long as they're. No. You keep the vines out of there, he's pretty much useless.
[01:10:03] Speaker C: You have to activate your vine in order to have your Jungle Boy throw.
[01:10:06] Speaker B: Unless you get the Rosie o' Donnell gorilla that is his best friend and, like, kind of weird love interest.
[01:10:11] Speaker C: Not the Rosie o' Donnell gorilla.
[01:10:15] Speaker A: She was a gorilla in that movie.
[01:10:18] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. She was the comic relief, like, sister thing.
[01:10:22] Speaker A: Anyway, Hurt Syndicate, the demand.
Jacksonville street fight.
The city so nice they named it Jacksonville.
Get a promo with Chris Statlander and Renee. Chris says she's never wrestled Tony one on one, so she accepts because she's a fighting champion. Harley shows up with the puppet, but then, like, kind of hides it because, like, she's not cheating on both sides.
[01:10:51] Speaker B: So she always comes out on top.
[01:10:52] Speaker A: Yep. Huh.
Plays it off as nothing. Stat leaves. That's. That's it. There's. It was kind of short.
[01:10:58] Speaker B: That doesn't even really seem to care. She's just like.
[01:11:00] Speaker A: She's like, what do you do with the public Again?
[01:11:03] Speaker B: I love stat coming out with, like, the kind of more alien look again. She got, like, the blue and silver and the, like, awesome eye makeup on.
[01:11:11] Speaker A: Jesus.
[01:11:12] Speaker B: I loved Alien Statlander. Like, I understand moving away from it and, like, getting. But, like, you could still keep the aesthetics.
[01:11:18] Speaker A: I like that. I like that. She became Champ and it's back.
[01:11:21] Speaker C: And she said, yeah, yeah.
[01:11:22] Speaker A: The. The power cosmic.
[01:11:25] Speaker B: She's discovering her true self, just like John Moxley wanted because he's bringing the best out of everyone and saving the company.
[01:11:32] Speaker A: Thank you, John Knox.
[01:11:33] Speaker C: True, true.
[01:11:34] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:11:34] Speaker A: I want to suck you.
[01:11:35] Speaker B: It was worth sacrificing Brian Danielson's life. He's dead. Like, hologram.
[01:11:39] Speaker A: He's dead. Like, he's dead. Like hologram.
[01:11:43] Speaker B: It's the ghost of Brian Danielson, the ghost of hologram, and the ghost of George C. Scott. Like the Force Ghost Adam Stark, I think.
[01:11:52] Speaker A: No, I think just hollow. I think that's just how hologram talks. Oh, no, no, no, no. That's.
[01:11:57] Speaker B: So hologram is actually a force ghost.
[01:12:00] Speaker A: So, like, I know El Clone talks with the George C. Scott voice, but remember, hologram talks with Tony Schiavone's voice.
[01:12:09] Speaker B: I'm the Darth Vader of this piece.
[01:12:10] Speaker A: Yes, that was in. Hey, EW Speaking Of El clone.
This is where we learn his name. So Alicia, she's with Don.
[01:12:22] Speaker B: It's a two. Because I never think it's a toot, and I have to be. Every time they say it, I'm like, oh, yeah.
[01:12:29] Speaker A: So she's with Don. Callis, Takeshita and Okada.
This is where they really.
[01:12:34] Speaker C: That the promo starts a little bit before, while they're still talking on commentary. Because yet again, more audio issues.
[01:12:41] Speaker A: If we talked about every audio for eight hours.
Yes. So, like, this is where. This is where we reveal that the evil hologram is a clone we talked.
[01:12:53] Speaker B: About before is the luchador Erez, who's a former partner and rival of the Lucha, the lucid Replace hologram armies. They go back.
Like, there is some thematic.
[01:13:06] Speaker A: Like, I was actually gonna say who. Who. I hadn't looked up who it was.
[01:13:11] Speaker B: Yeah. Oh, he's sick. Yeah. Aries is great.
[01:13:13] Speaker A: Any strange style I should have recognized? Probably should have recognized his tattoos, but.
[01:13:19] Speaker B: Well, he's more recognizable for his face paint. So with the face covered and stuff like that, like, there's tons of wrestlers covered in tattoos. It's hard to identify. Like, I wouldn't recognize, like, Pentagon's tattoos, and I've seen them a million times, probably.
[01:13:33] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:13:33] Speaker A: 0Metro. Metro. 0metro. All right, so don't. Says you, Brodido.
They're going to take them out next week. And he demands that they face Okada and Takeshita. Takesha's like, what?
Why do I got a team with this?
And Okada tells him to get in line as Don is just like, calm down, boys. You're both beautiful. Everybody gets to go to the prom.
[01:14:03] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:14:04] Speaker B: It is a very handsome pairing.
[01:14:05] Speaker C: You both can date me.
[01:14:07] Speaker B: When you. When you're just showing them next to each other is just kind of like.
[01:14:10] Speaker A: It's just like, please stop trying to make them be friends. Let them fight. Let them fight.
[01:14:15] Speaker B: I saw somebody post online that Mercedes with belts is like Don Callis with handsome men. Like.
[01:14:25] Speaker A: I was thinking about this the other day, was the thing to do if you're like a new Japan main eventer, is go sign in a North American company and just be a heel.
Because, like, that's what Nakamura did was he went to WWE and he did the NXT stuff. But then, like, he went to the main roster and, like, his first feud was about, like, punching AJ Styles in the dick for three months. And, like.
[01:14:52] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:14:53] Speaker A: And people are like, why is it. Wait a minute. Why isn't he doing all the cool stuff?
Because he wants. He. He's probably having a ton of fun punching 80 styles in the day.
[01:15:02] Speaker B: He had. He had one absolutely amazing match with Sami Zayn and nxt, like, his late match, and then he's like, I'm gonna surf and make money.
[01:15:12] Speaker A: I want to surf and punch. AJ Styles in the deck.
[01:15:15] Speaker B: Yeah. Living the dream.
[01:15:17] Speaker C: Yep.
[01:15:18] Speaker B: I do hope that they. My kind of fantasy booking is that they have him be Tanahashi's last. That everybody swallows their pride. Like WWE and AEW and NJPW are all like, okay, just for this. Tanahashi's retirement match, Nakamura comes over for the Tokyo Dome.
[01:15:34] Speaker A: I think Nakamura, they'll probably let him do a video for Tanahashi, but I don't think he's gonna wrestle him.
[01:15:40] Speaker B: No, that's big time. It's fantasy. Like, that's. I would love to see it, but it'll probably be Aaron Wolf.
[01:15:47] Speaker A: Oh, man.
[01:15:50] Speaker B: They advertise those as two separate things, though. Aaron Wolf's debut and Tanahashi's retirement. So probably.
Sorry, wrong company.
[01:15:58] Speaker A: Our main event, a mixed tornado match. Darby Allen and Chris Statlander versus the Death Riders.
[01:16:04] Speaker C: I think this is the first actual Rena Shafir match I've ever seen.
[01:16:10] Speaker B: She doesn't do a lot of them.
[01:16:11] Speaker A: No. Yeah, she really doesn't.
Where does she regularly work on the Indies dp.
[01:16:17] Speaker B: She's the. She's the champion of Defy.
[01:16:19] Speaker A: Oh, defy.
[01:16:19] Speaker B: The women's champion. Yeah. She had a great match with Shoko Nakajima. She's really pretty. She's gotten good at wrestling. She. She used to be really rough. I'm not gonna lie. But, like, when she actually does it, she's got it pretty down now.
[01:16:33] Speaker A: Yeah, she used to be a regular on Dark for a long time.
[01:16:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:16:38] Speaker A: And she was teaming with Nyla down there.
[01:16:43] Speaker B: Yeah, she was. She floundered for a long time, but the Death Riders have, like, everybody else brought out the best in her.
[01:16:49] Speaker A: Yeah, it's true.
So the faces actually jump the Death Riders while they make their entrance. I was very unsatisfied with the. Like, there was a very cool spot where stat kind of like, lifts you to.
[01:17:06] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:17:07] Speaker A: Into the entry, and it was right under a sign that said Kill Yuta.
[01:17:12] Speaker B: When we're looking at, like, episode pictures, I have one that. It's Darby choking Yuta with the Kill Yuta sign held, like, right above them. And it looked. It's very.
[01:17:20] Speaker A: I wanted specifically Yuta hitting underneath it, but, like, they pan the camera away. Oh, so that was disappointing.
[01:17:28] Speaker B: Yeah. It was a cool spot, though.
[01:17:31] Speaker A: There. This was Kind of a quick one. Not a lot happening. Well, I wouldn't say not a lot happening, but, like, they kept it more.
[01:17:39] Speaker B: Like they crammed a lot into a little.
[01:17:41] Speaker A: Yeah, it was not quite as crazy as I think I was expecting it to be, though. Like, we still had an obligatory, like, Darby goes 100 miles an hour and crashes into a chair.
[01:17:56] Speaker B: Yeah, that always looks so bad.
[01:17:58] Speaker A: Like, probably because it is.
[01:18:00] Speaker B: Yeah. I always jaw drop at that, like, every time.
[01:18:05] Speaker A: Danielson is baffled why Marina's wrestling barefoot in a hardcore match.
Note that.
[01:18:12] Speaker B: Yeah. The gift of prophecy.
[01:18:16] Speaker A: They. They pile up a bunch of chairs in the ring.
Marina hits, like, this tiger faint kick.
[01:18:23] Speaker B: Oh, the, like, the head scissors thing. She pulls out of it. That was a cool spot. And then she turns it into that, like, head spike on the apron.
[01:18:31] Speaker A: So, like, if you're not familiar with the tiger Faint, it's a 619.
So when she does the kick, she head scissors Statlander and then did, like, a driver into the apron.
[01:18:45] Speaker B: Yeah. At first I thought she was just trying to do a regular 619 and botched it. Like, it was like, oh, that was a little rough. But then she locked the feet in. I was like, oh, this is actually, like, what she's shooting for. Yeah, that was really cool.
[01:18:57] Speaker A: That was. That was unique. I don't think I've seen that before.
[01:19:00] Speaker B: No.
[01:19:01] Speaker A: Yeah, they just.
It's kind of like the Heat segment was Utah beating the. Out of Darby, which you would expect.
So, like, Darby gets tossed onto the chair pile a bunch, and the. The. The faces make their comeback. So Marina pulls stat up onto, like, the barricade, and she's got to do a violence, but then stat brings back the boop, which I appreciate it. I. I don't think it's been a long time since I've seen the boot, but she boops Marina, and then just, like, suplexes are through the announce tape or not. The announce table. Yeah.
[01:19:39] Speaker B: The ring, the time. Yeah. The timekeeper's table over there.
[01:19:43] Speaker A: It was.
[01:19:43] Speaker B: That was gnarly, too.
[01:19:46] Speaker A: That was sick.
[01:19:47] Speaker B: Stat is firing on all cylinders right now.
Like, I even. We talked about a couple weeks ago, I was like, I don't really know where this is going. I. Like, I'm hopeful, but I just don't know what's gonna happen here. And they have delivered on her so well.
[01:20:02] Speaker A: It's.
[01:20:02] Speaker B: I. I can't.
No, no faults.
[01:20:05] Speaker A: Darby does a big superplex to Yuta onto the chair pile, and then he does the thing where, like, they stick the guy's arm in the.
In the ring. Inside the ring post. Yeah.
[01:20:18] Speaker B: In the actual.
[01:20:19] Speaker A: That looks like it sucks.
[01:20:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:20:23] Speaker A: Because I know that shit's sharp as hell.
[01:20:25] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:20:26] Speaker A: But then Darby hits a neck breaker, and.
Or not Darby. Yuta hits a neck breaker, and then he's apron one.
[01:20:34] Speaker B: That was sick.
[01:20:34] Speaker A: And then he does a big Olympic slam stat into the chairs.
[01:20:41] Speaker B: I like that. After he did that, like, he suplexed or he. Yeah, hit stat with the suplex. And he looked, like, incredibly sad and conflicted. Like, he really had some good, like, facial expressing. Like, his whole story with stat has been very good. Like, I think he.
As much as you do the. I think he genuinely always considers that Lander a friend, you know, in character and story, and really wanted her to join the Death Riders to be his friend again.
[01:21:04] Speaker A: He wanted a friend. He doesn't have friends in Death Riders. He just had.
[01:21:08] Speaker B: Yeah. Moxley just sticks hot pokers up his butt, and Marina spits on him.
[01:21:14] Speaker A: Hot as. Man. You make it.
[01:21:15] Speaker B: Yeah, I was gonna say. I'm gonna write this all down.
Log it into Tumblr right now.
[01:21:24] Speaker A: All right, so then. All right, so Yuta's like, I know what this needs. Thumbtacks. My partner's barefoot.
[01:21:32] Speaker B: What's this part?
[01:21:32] Speaker C: Surely this will not backfire.
[01:21:34] Speaker A: This will never backfire. It backfires in this nasty.
[01:21:39] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:21:41] Speaker A: Stat does the thing where she basically slams Marina feet first into the thumbtacks, which.
[01:21:47] Speaker B: Yeah, I almost did, like, an atomic.
[01:21:48] Speaker A: Drop, like, right on announced. Booth was not a fan.
[01:21:54] Speaker C: No, me neither.
[01:21:55] Speaker A: I'm not a fan of that either. Like, ow. Ow. I don't.
[01:21:58] Speaker B: I mean, some ts always look bad, but it's one thing where it's, like, on the back with a shirt and everything, but, like, just mentally imagining them going into the soles of my feet and, like, the heels. She landed on the heels where there's, like, no cushion. That's just, like, right onto the bone.
[01:22:12] Speaker A: It's like, oh, God, they need to let me hurt. They need.
Yuta, ever the tactician, has powder. He's got the cocaine. He was holding the stash. And then.
[01:22:26] Speaker B: So he goes to blind Dr. Roxo in this house.
[01:22:29] Speaker A: Yep. He goes to blind.
[01:22:30] Speaker C: I'm Dr. Roxo.
[01:22:33] Speaker B: I'm the rock and roll.
We're gonna get sued by every company.
[01:22:38] Speaker A: We're going to get sued by George C. Scott.
[01:22:43] Speaker B: Estate and ride an atomic bomb onto us again.
[01:22:47] Speaker A: That wasn't him. That was Slim Pickens.
It's been a while since I watched that movie. I think it was Slim Pickens. That Read the new.
[01:22:54] Speaker B: Yeah, probably. Yeah.
[01:22:56] Speaker A: So.
So Wheeler's like, I've got the coke. I'm gonna blind this guy. And he misses and he blinds Marina with the coke. And Marina's blind, so she's. And now she's high on cocaine and blind. So she grabs you to chokes him out a little bit.
[01:23:12] Speaker B: Exactly. What happened to Stevie Wonder?
Jesus.
He. Dad, can he sue us?
[01:23:20] Speaker C: No, he's very much alive and he can.
Sorry. Stevie, you're a musical genius and I love you.
[01:23:25] Speaker B: Yeah. You are not on co. My name is Ella Taylor.
[01:23:28] Speaker A: Ever. I'm Ella Taylor. I'm Ella Taylor.
[01:23:31] Speaker B: I'm saying libelous things.
[01:23:36] Speaker A: Christ, where was I? Where are my notes? All right.
[01:23:38] Speaker B: The joke.
[01:23:38] Speaker A: Yeah. So she does the choke and now Yuda's down, stat. Hits a 450 splash. And then Darby hits a coffin drop. And that's the end. Faces win. Yeah, it was fun. I enjoyed it.
[01:23:50] Speaker B: There's a. Yeah, I actually. I thought it was a good match.
[01:23:54] Speaker C: Quick little.
Quick little car crash match.
[01:23:59] Speaker B: Yeah. They got enough, like, memorable spots in there where I was like, okay, that was. Yeah, it was probably might have been the high point of the show for me.
[01:24:05] Speaker A: Like, we're so. Yeah, I know. We're so used to, like, especially, like, they just had that.
The residency where like every match was like, pay per view, quality match.
[01:24:15] Speaker B: Yeah. This is a lot of, like, story building stuff going throughout this episode and they.
[01:24:20] Speaker A: They kind of needed it is the impression I got. All right, so post match, Tony Storm comes out, faces off with Statlander. They kind of smile and then they just fight the. Out of each other.
[01:24:31] Speaker B: I like that, though. That was a cool little visual.
[01:24:34] Speaker A: Darby Allen is horse whipping Wheeler Yuta with his studded belt. And then Pac comes out and basically.
[01:24:44] Speaker B: Makes my tummy hurt.
[01:24:45] Speaker A: Yeah, he does make my tummy hurt. He's. He wasn't. He wasn't.
[01:24:49] Speaker B: Is the thumbtacks to the sole of my feet as a look.
[01:24:54] Speaker A: Yeah, he was very dry tonight as well. So, like, now I'm cons. Yeah. Like, I'm concerned. It's like, you know, like when a dog is sick, like, they don't have, like, their nose is warm and dry. It's like, oh, no, he's not panting.
[01:25:11] Speaker B: The way he used to.
[01:25:12] Speaker A: Yeah.
So Pac, please go see the vet. Speaking of the sick, he basically does a murder on Darby again with. He just wraps the belt around his neck and is just like, I'm going to hold you. As Darby froths at the mouth.
[01:25:30] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:25:31] Speaker A: Jon Moxley comes out. He's just like you up really badly having an I quit match because I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'm gonna make you say I quit.
And then Pac just lariats the out of him for good measure and that's the end of the show.
[01:25:50] Speaker B: Kills him.
Yeah. We're having fine ending, but it's fine.
[01:25:56] Speaker A: I, I, I am terrified to see what Mox and Darby are going to do to each other. Yeah. Yeah.
[01:26:03] Speaker B: And this, as much as I don't really care about this story anymore, I know this is gonna be bonkers. Like. Yeah, it'll be 20 minutes of stuff that I will be like, amazed to.
[01:26:16] Speaker C: See that's gonna be uncomfortable.
[01:26:20] Speaker A: Yeah. And like the last, their la the coffin match was very uncomfortable.
[01:26:25] Speaker B: Yeah. That alone was crazy.
[01:26:27] Speaker A: That was, that was like a very messed up match.
[01:26:30] Speaker B: Yeah. I thought that was a blow off match because it was one of the most violent things I'd seen in a while.
[01:26:35] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah.
[01:26:36] Speaker B: Nope, that was the Empire Strikes Back. That was the middle.
[01:26:39] Speaker A: Yes.
Darby needs his win back.
I, I, I, I guess I don't think I, I, I want Mox to just keep killing him.
[01:26:50] Speaker B: That would be the funniest outcome, is Mox wins again.
[01:26:52] Speaker A: It's like I don't understand what they were doing, but it doesn't matter. I don't care. This is awesome. Mox should not lose to Darby ever again.
[01:27:01] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:27:02] Speaker A: So that was the overall show.
[01:27:06] Speaker B: Yeah. Thoughts mostly good. Yeah. It was mostly a couple little low points. Yeah. But it did a good job moving stuff along.
[01:27:13] Speaker A: Do we want to talk about, like, the big controversy that happened on this episode with the commercials?
[01:27:20] Speaker B: Yeah, we can address. Yeah. And was it just on HBO Max or was it on TNT too?
[01:27:26] Speaker A: I think it was on tbs. Yeah. So, like there, I think it bears.
[01:27:30] Speaker B: Me, I know it was on Max.
[01:27:31] Speaker A: Because, like, we're primarily based on blue sky and.
[01:27:35] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:27:36] Speaker A: Blue sky on.
[01:27:37] Speaker B: The wrestlers themselves have commented on this.
[01:27:39] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:27:40] Speaker B: Our champion, Hank, you know, our champion Hangman page put out linked to the feedback for hbo. Max's like advertising things like, please tell them this sucks. Let them know.
[01:27:50] Speaker A: Yeah. So. And it does.
[01:27:51] Speaker B: Yeah. That.
[01:27:55] Speaker A: It was a very unfortunate, like, everybody, it's weird.
[01:27:58] Speaker B: Yeah. Because everybody, the show was highs, but then there was like that and like the what chance. And like just little things. It's like, oh, this really, it was.
[01:28:06] Speaker A: It was like a little bit too much of like the real world creeped in with that because like those, I've seen those commercials on other shows and they're Horrifying.
[01:28:17] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:28:17] Speaker B: Yep. We live in a dystopia.
[01:28:20] Speaker A: If I was watching on TV and I'm like, I'm having fun watching Dynamite and I see an ad.
[01:28:25] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:28:26] Speaker A: For please join the Brown Shirts.
Yep.
[01:28:29] Speaker B: I watch wrestling to escape how terrible things are.
[01:28:31] Speaker A: Correct.
[01:28:32] Speaker C: And that's, that's what we try and offer here as well. And it, it sucks that like that is permeating into, into our fun little.
[01:28:44] Speaker B: Yeah. But we will.
[01:28:45] Speaker A: I mean, I don't know how much.
[01:28:47] Speaker B: Say the company itself has over what ads are played or anything like that.
[01:28:52] Speaker A: I'm sure they have none.
[01:28:54] Speaker C: Yeah. That's a network, that's a. Whatever service they're on kind of deal.
[01:29:00] Speaker B: And honestly I think it's nice that like so many of the wrestlers did come out and speak again. Like it's reinforce like some of the cool of A and W. That we've got legitimately decent people representing this company that like.
[01:29:10] Speaker A: Yeah. That if there's people that don't like what they see, they are going to say what they see. And they'll even say, hey, tell the network to off.
So I hope that's addressed.
[01:29:22] Speaker B: Yep. And then go back to posting about plants.
[01:29:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:29:25] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:29:26] Speaker A: Yes.
I, I hadn't seen that.
That hangman spent time at his like press conference after the last pay per view talking about his plans.
[01:29:40] Speaker B: Our Blue sky champion.
[01:29:41] Speaker A: Our champion. That's it.
[01:29:43] Speaker B: I'm excited to see where everything goes though.
[01:29:45] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:29:46] Speaker B: And next week is on Tuesday for summary, I assume because of real sports. Because that's usually what up my watch.
[01:29:53] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:29:53] Speaker A: Yes, that's right.
[01:29:55] Speaker C: Super belt Tuesday or whatever it is.
[01:29:57] Speaker A: Title Tuesday.
[01:29:58] Speaker C: Title Tuesday.
[01:29:59] Speaker A: That's it.
[01:30:00] Speaker C: I couldn't remember the alliteration.
[01:30:04] Speaker A: Yeah, the baseball playoffs are happening because it's October.
That'll. Yeah, a lot of them will be on tbs, so that'll.
[01:30:14] Speaker B: Yeah. So no, it makes sense. They always do like go all out on these like special day ones. So it'll be cool. Mercedes versus Kevin Sullivan. Let's roll.
[01:30:23] Speaker A: Yes.
[01:30:27] Speaker C: It will be.
The show will be on Tuesday. We will probably record normal time and our show will be out normal time, which is whatever Sunday.
[01:30:37] Speaker A: Friday to Sunday.
If you, if you need something else to listen to in the meantime, consider giving $5 to the Monday night fake fights. Patreon, you can listen to Piper, Ella and I talk.
What happened at All Out.
[01:30:58] Speaker C: Oh, the all out fallout.
[01:31:00] Speaker A: The all out fallout. And also let's riff on the 79.
[01:31:07] Speaker C: Yeah, we're gonna. We're not airing that out to the public yet. We're still letting that one marinade.
[01:31:13] Speaker A: You gotta. You gotta pay the $5 to get another on that barrel aged. Goodness.
[01:31:18] Speaker B: We gotta.
[01:31:19] Speaker C: We got a great idea that, that y' all need to listen up on as well as, uh, not necessarily wrestling talk.
Hogan and Hoagies is over there as well, where we ate deli meats and watched Hulk Hogan movies.
[01:31:34] Speaker B: And because why not even use multiple accounts sign up over and over.
[01:31:41] Speaker A: There's a. There's also like a full year's worth of us talking about having watch parties for what, 1995, 1996 WWF and WCW pay per views. So if you want to, you know, hear us be like, holy. The racism that's there too.
[01:32:00] Speaker B: It's always been terrible.
[01:32:01] Speaker A: Give us five bucks. It's fun. You'll.
[01:32:04] Speaker C: It's over at patreon.com mnffpod and that'll.
[01:32:10] Speaker A: Be in the show notes too. So you have no excuse.
[01:32:13] Speaker C: Yeah, because I still probably got it wrong.
[01:32:18] Speaker B: Double check.
[01:32:20] Speaker A: It's fine.
[01:32:20] Speaker B: Don't worry about it.
[01:32:21] Speaker A: Don't worry about it. It's fine.
That's it. We did it. We recorded a podcast. Good job, guys. Good to be back as always. I'm sorry, Scott with me and he's a permanent fix.
[01:32:35] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. I'm George T. Scott and I'm ending the show.
I'm George C. Scott and I'm Pro Racial Miscegenation.
