[00:00:07] Speaker A: In the beginning, the earth was a dark formless void.
But then God spoke and said, let there be wrestling.
And with that there was Monday and wrestling happened on Mondays. And God looked upon her works and said, holy shit, that's a lot of racism in video packages.
On the second day God got depressed and lo did she post about it on the DVD VR forums. And with that, there was Tuesday.
On the third day, God said, let there be Wednesday. And lo did the people reply unto her.
We know what that means.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: That's what I was looking for. Wel back.
[00:01:00] Speaker A: Don't fish for openings.
[00:01:05] Speaker B: I.
I am the one who opens the show. I will do as I please. Slur.
[00:01:13] Speaker A: Oh, slur. I don't even read a specific one. It's just.
[00:01:19] Speaker B: Oh, I'm trying to behave for. I don't know why, but it's. I, Ella Taylor. Jesus. Jesus Christ. I'm not Jesus Christ, but Jesus Christ. I'm upset with myself.
What with the. She's in the hers. It's me. We're here to talk about Aw dynamite. Like we do every week. And by we I mean my wrestle queers. And I first wrestle queer go as Erica Warren.
[00:01:44] Speaker A: She her. She's back.
[00:01:46] Speaker B: Yay.
[00:01:47] Speaker A: From the Quaker town.
I survived.
I survived the ghosts and the rednecks and it was all good.
[00:01:54] Speaker B: The coup. The coupe has been put back away in the garage.
[00:01:58] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:01:59] Speaker B: Where it will be cozy.
[00:02:01] Speaker A: I think it's be it. It has to be steam clean. That thing just.
[00:02:05] Speaker B: It smell crazy in there.
[00:02:09] Speaker A: I don't know how you get that much black mold on one 2 hour trip in a cozy coupe.
[00:02:14] Speaker B: It was closer. It was closer to three. It was a really.
[00:02:19] Speaker A: It was.
[00:02:19] Speaker B: Was a wild night.
[00:02:21] Speaker C: But.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:02:22] Speaker A: Did you not stop for bathroom breaks?
[00:02:25] Speaker B: Never. No. I was gonna say speaking of wild night, the driver of our coup.
The illustrious apple of mine eye. A yo a soy a hemp to saddle.
[00:02:37] Speaker C: There's a squeal of tires and through the jumbo. Just through the front screen crashes a cozy coupe.
No, spewing actually kind of blackish mist and being chased by a monkey. Clones down and like goes in circles around the room.
[00:03:06] Speaker B: Those are expensive. This is stone cold is what it is.
[00:03:10] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah it is. With this his doom buggy.
I mean a good entrance, I'll give you that. That's.
[00:03:16] Speaker C: That's.
[00:03:16] Speaker A: That. That's a good entrance.
Did we. Did you get. Did we get. Did they finish with it at the steam cleaners or what?
[00:03:24] Speaker C: No, it's still. It's. No, it's a half. Half and half. So that's how.
[00:03:30] Speaker B: So it's still a little damp.
[00:03:32] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, because that's. That's how. This is the weak spot. There is, like, soap and the remains of the mold that, like, run off. That's kind of like the mist.
[00:03:42] Speaker B: And at the end, I can, like,
[00:03:43] Speaker C: climb up on the top of the roof and scream.
[00:03:47] Speaker B: And now. Yeah.
[00:03:49] Speaker C: Little arms in the air.
[00:03:50] Speaker B: Yeah. I'm so happy for you.
Stone Cold after Saro. But do you realize you kill. You killed the Jerry Lawler. Her monkey clone. Do you know what I had to do to get that DNA?
[00:04:06] Speaker A: Ew.
Don't even imply that.
Don't even imply that implication.
[00:04:13] Speaker B: I went through his recycling. Through his Coca Cola cans. What the Are you thinking? Jesus Christ.
[00:04:18] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:04:18] Speaker A: You know what he does with his Coke cans?
[00:04:20] Speaker B: Oh, you. You don't want to know what he does with that Coke can. So welcome, everyone. We're back.
That was all horrifying. There's already been a death on the pod. What a great week.
Hampter already has a kill.
[00:04:38] Speaker A: They killed 25 people last week, you mean?
[00:04:46] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So that's like.
[00:04:47] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, I know. You're spraying that mist. I'm gonna have. Oh, God.
[00:04:51] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, that's not.
That's not immediate. That's not necessarily death. That's.
[00:04:58] Speaker B: No, no, no. Those are spores that are gonna get in the curtains. Okay. I went through this one. Sorry.
[00:05:07] Speaker A: This. It's dank enough in the theater as it is.
[00:05:11] Speaker B: Yeah, that's just.
[00:05:18] Speaker C: Yeah, like, loud.
[00:05:19] Speaker B: The best Bugs told me on the other show where, like, we tried to figure out, like, how to describe this show because, like, we just don't know.
And. And we've landed on Joe Rogan. And I was like, yeah, I. I'm gonna lean into that. Like, I'm just gonna keep getting, like, Joe Rogan level high.
[00:05:43] Speaker A: The other show or this show?
[00:05:44] Speaker B: The other show. Not this show. I was gonna say this show. No, no.
[00:05:48] Speaker A: We're way classier than Joe Rogan.
[00:05:49] Speaker B: We're way classier than Joe Rogan.
[00:05:52] Speaker C: Huge agreement.
[00:05:53] Speaker B: But the other one really is just me and Bugs talking to someone going, wow, that's wild. You ever do dmt?
So, like, you know, I'm learning to wean and do it. People seem to like the. Yeah, but that's. That's.
[00:06:13] Speaker A: Jamie, can you pull up that video of the deer?
[00:06:16] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:06:18] Speaker C: Oh, geez.
[00:06:19] Speaker B: No, this time.
[00:06:20] Speaker C: This.
[00:06:22] Speaker B: This week, it was literally. It was literally bugs. Can you pull up that video? John Oliver on the soap opera.
[00:06:30] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:06:31] Speaker C: There is Chris Jericho.
[00:06:33] Speaker A: Oh, My God. Bugs, can you get the video?
Who is he on General Hospital?
Oh, I'm sorry, after.
[00:06:44] Speaker B: Wait, who? John Oliver. He was on. He was on John. He was on General Hospital this week. I forget what the other one was he was on. Was he Young in the Restless? I forget where where he. The one where he played like a. A long running story arc is like an evil villain. It was awesome.
Amazing.
That's neither here nor there. Yes. Hampter, what were you saying before Erica so rudely cut you off?
[00:07:11] Speaker A: I did. I'm sorry.
[00:07:12] Speaker C: Yeah. There is a Chris Jericho crew.
[00:07:16] Speaker B: Oh yeah. Oh yes.
He keeps doing it.
[00:07:22] Speaker C: Harley Cameron's going to be the director.
[00:07:25] Speaker B: Oh, honestly,
[00:07:29] Speaker C: Jeff Hart. The Hardy Boys are gonna be there.
[00:07:31] Speaker B: Oh, of course they are. Yeah, because it's not.
Because it's not aw sanctioned. So like everyone, they're just like. Let's get all the indie friends and people DNA and people with allegations.
Yeah.
[00:07:50] Speaker C: Head DiBiase and Marcus Bagwell.
Which is Sunny Oto.
[00:07:58] Speaker A: Oh my God.
[00:08:02] Speaker C: Oh, damn.
[00:08:04] Speaker A: Why is Chris Van getting promot like a headlining promoter on Jericho Cruz?
[00:08:12] Speaker C: To be fair, he's the last one listed.
[00:08:14] Speaker A: Or he's still on there.
[00:08:16] Speaker C: Yeah,
[00:08:19] Speaker B: where? So yeah, where are we Jericho cruising to this week, Erica?
[00:08:24] Speaker A: We're in Lost Jericho, Nevada.
[00:08:27] Speaker B: Holy Vegas, Nevada.
[00:08:30] Speaker A: And they were in the what? The Palm. I don't know what the is over there, but they were.
[00:08:36] Speaker B: I remember.
[00:08:36] Speaker A: I will recognize that arena venue forever because it was big gay brunch 10 and like.
[00:08:44] Speaker B: Oh yeah, that.
[00:08:45] Speaker A: I just thinking like, wow, this show would have could have used a lot more like a thousand percent more dark chic and kid versus sex. Saber Junior.
[00:08:58] Speaker B: Most shows could use a thousand percent more dark chic and bandit. Yeah, that's understandable.
Yeah.
[00:09:06] Speaker C: The Pearl Theater at the Palms.
[00:09:08] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean it is a good venue. Yeah, it's gorgeous. It looks very good for indie wrestling, but it kind of seems too small for aw. But what do I know?
What I do know is that Hampter, you did great on Cryptid of the week last week.
[00:09:26] Speaker C: It was all you. I was losing my as they were just saying everything that you had written down and just waiting to repeat everything back to them that you had sent me two days before.
[00:09:41] Speaker B: What the dude?
[00:09:43] Speaker C: Like wild.
[00:09:44] Speaker B: Am I really like girl? Am I that predictable?
[00:09:47] Speaker C: Like seriously has wrestled you for more often.
[00:09:53] Speaker A: Listen, my third eye.
[00:09:56] Speaker C: No.
[00:09:56] Speaker A: Is opened.
[00:09:58] Speaker B: No, no, honestly, it was like after I picked my everything up off the ground because I was like, are you kidding me with this?
I had a heartwarming moment where I Was like, oh, I'm feeling real. I'm. I'm feeling real like Bobby and Gorilla about.
Yeah, like you left and you still managed to own me.
[00:10:28] Speaker A: Well, I come.
I come bearing a Cryptid of the week.
It is the.
Oh, boy. I think this is going to go over well. This is the atmospheric sky clams.
[00:10:42] Speaker C: What?
[00:10:46] Speaker A: Have either of you heard about atmospheric monsters or creatures or whatever?
[00:10:51] Speaker C: No, actually.
Are they like monsters that live in clouds?
[00:10:55] Speaker B: Yeah, I was gonna say. Is it like. Is it like. Nope. Like the alien.
[00:10:59] Speaker A: Yes, exactly. It is exactly like. Nope.
I saw that movie and, like, the reveal of what it is, it was like, oh, Jordan Peele, I was not familiar with your game.
You didn't make a UFO movie. You made a movie about, like, one of the most obscure paranormal things in the entire planet.
[00:11:19] Speaker B: Damn, I thought that was an alien movie. You're telling me that was a Cryptid movie?
[00:11:24] Speaker A: That is a Cryptid.
So that is.
There's a lot of stories about stuff in this. Like the. The theory is that there are organisms in the sky that we either can't see them because they go translucent, or they're. They blend in really well, or they're too high up to see and they don't hit planes because, I don't know, magic.
But. So, like, there's this.
Don't. Don't think about it too hard at all. Good call.
But like, this specific story is from 1925. So, like, there was a bunch of dudes who owned biplanes and they were doing stunt flying in the desert.
Yeah, they were landing. Yeah, yeah. Gay sex. Yes.
[00:12:14] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:15] Speaker B: No sexual sex.
[00:12:18] Speaker A: They were. They were barnstorming, as they say.
[00:12:21] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, yeah, I met her.
[00:12:25] Speaker A: But yeah, they. They. They landed on top of like this narrow mesa thing in the desert and it was kind of high up and they found like this giant clam shaped creature up there.
[00:12:38] Speaker C: What?
[00:12:39] Speaker B: And I'm sure they did.
[00:12:44] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. So, like, it looked like a clam, but, like.
Will you stop? This is serious business.
No, they found a giant clam.
[00:13:01] Speaker B: I want to find a giant clam.
[00:13:04] Speaker C: Wow.
Did it open?
[00:13:09] Speaker A: So, like, it was. It. It like, kind of breathed and it had like a little mouth and it had like, weird crystals on its back that were glowing. And it like, kind of started to panic when it saw the. The dude.
And then a bigger one floated down from the sky, extended a bunch of tentacles onto the smaller one and grabbed it up and flew away.
[00:13:34] Speaker B: Only do that when they're very upset. So, like, that's.
[00:13:38] Speaker C: Wow.
[00:13:42] Speaker A: It was either a baby or they or it got eaten.
[00:13:45] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Oh, wow. I mean, I'm sorry that my brain can't help but o' keefe the out of all of this.
[00:13:55] Speaker A: Well, it's not like it's like this. It's not like this.
[00:13:58] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah.
I mean. I mean.
[00:14:01] Speaker A: I mean, supposedly I've seen.
[00:14:03] Speaker B: I've seen those things from all sorts of angles. Erica, let's be so real with you. Wait, so. But this is. I didn't.
[00:14:12] Speaker C: You're
[00:14:14] Speaker B: genital jokes aside, I never heard of this. You have blown my mind. That. Nope. Was a Cryptid movie. Like, you got me there episode done. Whatever. Whatever. The. We talk about whatever.
[00:14:28] Speaker A: See you next week.
[00:14:30] Speaker B: No, no, you're. No, no, no. You're coming on the other show. We're gonna keep talking about this. Oh. Oh, all right. Yeah, we should work that one up.
[00:14:39] Speaker A: We'll work this out.
[00:14:40] Speaker B: Cryptids is grabs. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:14:42] Speaker A: Cryptids is grabs.
[00:14:45] Speaker C: Was this ever.
Was this ever. See. Was this something like this ever seen again in this area? Or is it just kind of like this is the. A notable sighting of these in the desert in Nevada.
[00:15:00] Speaker B: Was this like a one off? Yeah. Is it like a one off or so?
[00:15:03] Speaker A: There's apparently, like, an entire, like, ecosystem.
[00:15:06] Speaker C: Oh, sure.
[00:15:07] Speaker A: Things. So there's like. There's reports of, like, sky rays over Long island once. Or a cloud that spit water. Like, active. Like, not rain. Like, was spitting water at people. Yes, yes. Ella.
[00:15:24] Speaker B: I don't know. No one can see, but, like, I just get. I'm basically the Vince McMahon meme right now.
[00:15:35] Speaker A: But, yeah, there's like a whole. The whole theory that there's, like, these invisible creatures up in the sky and we don't see them. And the reason more people don't see them is because they get eaten. Because that's always how the cryptozoology people say it is. Like. Well, we just haven't heard reports because they get. They kill people who see them.
[00:15:54] Speaker B: Yeah, there's always a bigger vulva. Okay.
[00:15:57] Speaker A: Like, there's always a bigger Volvo. See, I never really like the clam comparison. I always like man in the boat better.
[00:16:03] Speaker C: Oh, you know, I can see that.
[00:16:07] Speaker B: I don't care what you call it. I'm a fan.
Oh, God, I have to edit this this week. Jesus.
[00:16:15] Speaker A: Enjoy hearing yourself talk about vaginas.
Yeah, I tried to keep it professional.
Talking about fake monsters.
[00:16:24] Speaker B: I can't guarantee I'm good. Not just, like, censor my unhingedness with bells this week and let people guess.
[00:16:34] Speaker A: Like, bells are like.
[00:16:36] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:16:40] Speaker A: Oh, I'LL say my source is a periodical called flying saucers from 1959 by Ray.
Very cool letter from Don Wood Jr. And I found all that on Cryptopia US, which is where I'm stealing most of this.
[00:16:54] Speaker B: We not not calling them saucers. That's up.
[00:16:58] Speaker A: Well, they did call them saucers.
They said it was saucer shaped, but it's not a saucer. So like. So there's like the theory that like the UFOs that people see are these things.
[00:17:07] Speaker C: Oh, right. Oh, that would also make sense.
[00:17:10] Speaker B: Cuz they're so. It is an alien movie. It could be.
[00:17:15] Speaker A: We don't.
[00:17:15] Speaker B: All right, well, you know, now I feel like I've just been ripped back and forth. I'm on a roller coaster of emotion.
[00:17:23] Speaker A: You're. You're missing the point is that they could not be AFOs. They could just be the Flying Clams. No. And we think that they're UFOs because we want there to be aliens touching our butts.
[00:17:34] Speaker B: Wow.
[00:17:34] Speaker C: All right.
[00:17:35] Speaker B: So Flying Clams is definitely the name of my new ska band.
Yeah. That's awesome.
[00:17:42] Speaker C: That's a great name. That's a great band name.
[00:17:44] Speaker B: Yeah, it really is. You know what else was great? Dynamite. It's pretty great.
One fantastic, but it's pretty great. Erica. Don't you make that face. It's my turn to be the. No, no, hey. It's my turn to be the Heenan here now. Hey, no. Yeah.
[00:17:59] Speaker C: No.
[00:18:00] Speaker B: Dude, last week, I don't know, everyone, it was oops. All Heenans.
Cat was devil. Cat. Cat was fun, folks. I hope you enjoyed Cat. Cat was fun and was an absolute trooper. That's where I'm looking for a trooper. For the fact that it was a three hour show.
[00:18:21] Speaker C: I thought of. I thought of them because of the David Finley versus Jay White match.
White started twitching a match where I'm just like, oh, okay.
[00:18:33] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:18:34] Speaker B: Remember when Cat started twitching on hour 2.4? Thought 5. Yes.
[00:18:39] Speaker C: Well, she doesn't like the neck bombs like that, so.
[00:18:41] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:18:42] Speaker A: Thank you, Cat.
Appreciate it. Everybody go listen to Chatter Machine.
[00:18:47] Speaker C: Chatter Machine.
[00:18:48] Speaker B: Yeah. They released one. They released one called Two Continentals, one Cup, which was.
God damn it, I wish we would have thought of that.
Really fantastic stuff.
All right, you see what we did? You see, she came and hung out with us. She goes back with 10, two continental, one cup. I'm like, ah, ah.
There is a gas leak in the studio.
[00:19:17] Speaker A: There is. And we gave it to her.
Gave her the gas like we bring. So here, take these chemicals to huff Back to your own.
[00:19:26] Speaker B: We are the gas leak, mister.
[00:19:32] Speaker A: Speaking of gas leaks, no more bs. Paul White is on commentary.
[00:19:38] Speaker C: I love old wrestlers on commentary because their brains are just as spongy as mine.
I love Paul White calling out like, go get him. Go get him. Chris him up.
[00:19:52] Speaker A: Get the car, Jack.
[00:19:55] Speaker C: Thanks.
[00:19:56] Speaker A: Oh, my God. It was good.
[00:19:59] Speaker C: Yeah.
Just very delightful.
[00:20:02] Speaker A: So. Yes, we open.
He's a large man. He looks like my uncle. Well, when he was younger, he looked like my one uncle.
[00:20:09] Speaker B: Well, no, he is the. He is the giant. I think that when he retires, he should go back to the gimmick where he pretends that he's Andre's kid.
You know, like Jericho play the hits.
[00:20:23] Speaker A: Yeah, he does. When he does fully retire, he needs to bring out, like, the one or the one Strap Singleton and.
[00:20:33] Speaker C: The monster truck. Yeah.
[00:20:37] Speaker A: Remarkably good for a man killed by Hulk Hogan.
[00:20:40] Speaker B: Yes.
He's got a lot. He's gotta let whatever's left of Jimmy Hart come out and, like, kick him Sparta style off the building.
[00:20:50] Speaker A: Yeah, Jimmy Hart. Now, remember, Jimmy Hart's eternal. So this one's for Terry.
Terry still got shooter.
[00:21:04] Speaker C: He was like.
Jericho was my favorite tag team partner. And I was like, wait, when's Luger Razor?
[00:21:13] Speaker B: I'm just sitting here going, like, trying to remember when Jim.
Then someone reminded me of Jerry show. And I was like, oh, God damn it.
[00:21:25] Speaker C: Oh, so that's way far in the future.
[00:21:27] Speaker A: I forget what you guys. But, yeah, you're not.
[00:21:30] Speaker B: You know, you're. That's. That's the odds. I think that.
[00:21:33] Speaker A: Yeah, that's not even.
That's not. That's not in your. Your attitude. Rewatch. I don't think.
[00:21:40] Speaker B: No. You're getting into ruthless aggression at that point, I think.
[00:21:45] Speaker A: All right, so speaking of ruthless aggression.
[00:21:49] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[00:21:50] Speaker A: Not really.
[00:21:51] Speaker C: I will. I will go ahead.
I will say. I will say this real quick that I realize I'm like, they couldn't do a lot of talking or they didn't do a lot of talking last. Last Dynamite. So now they need to get it all in and have everybody chat it up on video.
[00:22:10] Speaker A: I suppose. So.
[00:22:13] Speaker C: I don't think it was bad. I just noticed it.
[00:22:14] Speaker A: No. Because usually Grand Slams are like a. Named Dynamite. So a name Dynamite doesn't have, like, long promo segments. So I know Max had a lot to say at one point, but that's about it.
[00:22:28] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:22:28] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:22:29] Speaker C: And even he was pretty brief in, like, considering how long Max can go. But.
[00:22:35] Speaker A: Yeah, seriously.
All right, so Osprey comes out for a promo, and he tells us, we're 18 days from all in.
And he says to keep gambling, which Americans gambling more. Thank you.
[00:22:52] Speaker B: Yeah, we're good.
[00:22:54] Speaker A: And he talks about how last year he did Arena Mexico and he learned his grandfather died and it hurt him because, you know, he never got to see him wrestle again and he didn't get to see him get married. But it's all good because his granddad would have said, quit being a poof and stop crying and do a flip. Yeah, and we love some good old toxic masculinity from granddad, don't we, folks?
[00:23:23] Speaker C: We do.
Very touching.
[00:23:28] Speaker A: He lets us know that no matter what's going on in his life, that he will leave his entire body in the ring for the fans. And then he had a street fight In Mexico City, 25 days from the biggest match of his career. And it sucked for him, but he hopes everybody liked it. And he knows Kenny Omega was at home watching it and wondering if he could pull the trigger. And he's here tonight and he's not doing anything else.
He means he says, omega's here tonight. And if Michael knock is, I was done trimming his ball hair, he should come out and like, what? Hey, that's really weird.
[00:24:01] Speaker B: That's messed up. And also if. If I like, look, I'm not going to judge how Michael makes his salary.
[00:24:10] Speaker A: I don't think Kenny shaves his balls. He doesn't seem like. He seems like he'd have some hair down there.
[00:24:15] Speaker B: Yeah, no, he. He.
[00:24:16] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:24:17] Speaker B: He really seems to me like, like.
Like a. Most of his body.
Except, you know, like the really, like, you know, is what his face usually looks like.
But then like maybe a little manscaping,
[00:24:33] Speaker A: Just a little trim back.
[00:24:34] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, he's trimming. He's trimming.
Michael's trimming. Okay. And he's getting paid good money, too. Okay. So, like, lay the off once, you know, every.
[00:24:45] Speaker C: Like, we, you know, it's not that bad.
[00:24:47] Speaker B: Yeah, no, just because you went back there, caught him on the. On his, you know, every other Wednesday.
Come on. Jesus.
[00:24:57] Speaker C: Rude.
[00:24:58] Speaker A: So instead of Kenny coming out, Don Callis comes out and said. And he says it's fitting that they're in Vegas because it's the birthplace of aew And I suppose Will. Will was watching a place like when. When aw started. Will wasn't there. He was watching from afar in New Japan. He was looking at a place that he couldn't wait to work at. And Callous was looking at a place that he wanted to exploit and he could wait.
Yeah.
[00:25:28] Speaker B: Great.
[00:25:28] Speaker C: Beautiful. Love this.
[00:25:30] Speaker A: He. He said Kenny was. How he would do it. And they won the world title and went on a great run until Kenny tried going it alone. So Don stabbed him in the face with the screwdriver. And they mentioned diverticulitis, and I enjoyed that. As soon as diverticulitis got mentioned, somebody posted a diverticulitis mentioned meme right on Blue Sky. And that's why a place has got the juice.
[00:25:52] Speaker B: Guts mentioned.
[00:25:54] Speaker A: Guts mentioned.
[00:25:59] Speaker B: Never going away.
[00:26:01] Speaker A: Never goes away. Don reminds us.
[00:26:03] Speaker B: Ain't going away, folks.
[00:26:06] Speaker A: Don reminds us that he was the one who brought Osper in to beat the. Out of Kenny Omega.
And he was able to actually beat Kenny because Callis was in his ear. So he owes everything to Don Callis.
[00:26:19] Speaker C: And.
[00:26:19] Speaker A: And now he thinks he can go alone, too. Well, you. So he sends the Don Callis family in to attack him from behind. And he's like, screaming, get the pussy neck. Get the neck.
[00:26:30] Speaker C: Get the pussy neck.
[00:26:31] Speaker A: Get the pussy neck.
[00:26:33] Speaker B: The pussy.
[00:26:37] Speaker A: Kenny makes his entrance now with a steel pipe.
And he clears house.
And then he makes like he's going to hit Osprey. But then, like, he holds up as Will does the flinch, which, as we all know, two for flinching.
[00:26:51] Speaker C: Whacking him in the head with the pipe.
[00:26:54] Speaker A: He flinched. Whack. Whack.
[00:26:59] Speaker C: His eyeball pops out.
[00:27:03] Speaker A: So he tells. He tells us that he feels Osprey's emotions when he speaks, but that he's up with Don Callis and then up with Jon Moxley and he's getting sloppy.
He helps him up and says, you know, after this, he can't help him again. From here on out, it's just Omega and Osprey. And Will says he doesn't need the help, but thank you. And they leave. And
[00:27:31] Speaker C: somebody. I mean, somebody said it before, but they were like, on Blue sky, it's like, I love it when Will any Omega goes full anime villain, like in his promos.
Yeah, he is.
Yeah, he gets real.
I think he ab. I mean, he. I. He. He absolutely channels that kind of.
I hope you understand.
[00:27:55] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:56] Speaker C: Between you and me.
[00:27:59] Speaker A: It's between you and me, Cloud. I mean, Will.
[00:28:02] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
[00:28:03] Speaker A: Well, it's from a completely different video game, too. He's a Assassin Creed.
[00:28:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:28:08] Speaker A: All right. So I missed last year or last. Last year. Last week when they started the Continental cup challenge.
The C3, if you will.
[00:28:25] Speaker B: Not starting it till collision. It kicked off on collision, I think.
[00:28:28] Speaker A: Yeah, it did. I still didn't watch it because I have to work, unfortunately.
But they, they run down the rules about how it's basically just like a random tournament and whoever wins the next round, they're gonna mix it up and we'll see what happens.
[00:28:46] Speaker C: Blind draw. Yeah.
[00:28:47] Speaker A: Line drawing, Blind drop. Claudio Orange Cassidy and Eddie Kingston have already advanced. Yeah, yeah.
[00:28:56] Speaker B: Super into it.
[00:28:57] Speaker A: Eddie Kingston should win. I'm just saying.
[00:29:00] Speaker B: I agree. He was the first winner. They should give it back to him and we should go from there.
[00:29:07] Speaker A: They do, they do a video package about MJF's return at Arena Mexico. And that's after Andrade won the number one entry spot into the casino gauntlet at all in. And that leads into our first match of the evening. A three way match. MJF versus Nick Wayne versus Mike Bailey.
Yes.
Max is doing this real world's champion thing.
It's a Ric Flair and not the other guy.
So he's carrying the trip, he's carrying the Triple B around and he's calling himself the one two champion. And he makes.
I forgot the ring announcer's name, so I just called him Face in the. My notes.
[00:29:51] Speaker B: Yeah, that works. Yeah, the freak. The pervert. Like Max said that one time this pervert face would. Yeah, I, Max, I, I was loving all the Ric Flair, but this sucks. It's just very forced and I like the energy that he's got and all of that, but the, the narrative that he's trying to explain the energy with is not. It's just not hitting, it's just not. Get it over with.
[00:30:30] Speaker A: There's always like a weird, like, it's one thing to have a heel just be like, well, I'm still the champion.
[00:30:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:30:38] Speaker A: But it also does not help when they have no actual case to say so.
[00:30:44] Speaker B: Yeah, that's the thing.
[00:30:47] Speaker A: There wasn't anything controversial about how Kenny beat him. Like, yeah, his Max's argument is like, if somebody hadn't stopped me cheating, I would have won.
It's like, you were cheating.
[00:31:01] Speaker C: Yeah, Bold that,
[00:31:05] Speaker A: like off.
Yeah, sorry. Max bails right away to let Speedball and Nick Wayne fight each other. And he goes to commentary and lets everybody know that he's going to let these two twinks beat each other up and then pick their scrawny bones.
And Paul White, he's having no BS about this.
[00:31:29] Speaker C: Yeah, he, Paul White does not like him.
[00:31:31] Speaker A: He does not like Max at all.
I did quite enjoy.
Yeah. Again, no more Big show, no more bs. There was the time he wrestled Hulk Hogan in like an independent match and said that Big show was his quote unquote slave name.
[00:31:50] Speaker C: Oh, My God.
[00:31:52] Speaker A: Just like, dude.
[00:31:58] Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely.
No, also like, that's. I mean, absolutely. That's incredibly like, tell. I mean, telling about wwf.
[00:32:09] Speaker A: It's like, you.
You can't say that. New Year's baby.
[00:32:15] Speaker C: New Year's baby be. Because.
[00:32:21] Speaker A: Oh, you haven't seen the New Year's baby, have you? But yeah, he can't be saying that.
[00:32:26] Speaker B: Oh, no, you can't say that.
[00:32:28] Speaker C: Oh, no, I haven't. I have no idea what you're talking about.
[00:32:32] Speaker A: They made Paul White dresses New Year's baby in the Fed one year.
[00:32:36] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Eric, can we bring that up? No, wait. Wrong show. I'm sorry.
[00:32:41] Speaker C: Oh, my God. I'm so. Just as it.
[00:32:44] Speaker A: Can you bring a Paul White in the diaper?
[00:32:49] Speaker C: On screen, I'm right now heavily into Vince pushing Bret Hart as a heel in 1997. And it is awful.
But I did.
I did see the sickest. They saw his match between him and stone Cold at WrestleMania 13.
That was incredibly sick.
[00:33:11] Speaker B: Incredibly sick hamster.
[00:33:17] Speaker C: That was real good.
[00:33:18] Speaker B: That is the first time since we have separated that I. I am legitimately sad I didn't get to watch that with you.
[00:33:25] Speaker C: Oh.
[00:33:27] Speaker B: Because like that, you know. Do you know that's the first time Steve Austin ever bladed?
[00:33:31] Speaker C: I didn't.
[00:33:32] Speaker A: Oh.
[00:33:33] Speaker B: Do you know that he was too scared. He couldn't do it. Brett had to do it for him. Yeah. I wish y' all could. I. I wish you could see Hector's reaction right now.
[00:33:42] Speaker C: The man who pillmanized Brian Pillman's ankle. I can't do it. I can't do it.
[00:33:50] Speaker B: I got you, dude. Here comes.
[00:33:52] Speaker C: Yeah. He's like, don't worry.
[00:33:54] Speaker A: Let me show you how to do it there.
[00:33:58] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:33:59] Speaker A: A little gag, but yes.
So Max wants nothing to do with this, but Speedy and Nickel and have a nice little exchange. And they're great opponents for each other. I like it.
[00:34:12] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:34:13] Speaker A: And Nick Wayne demonstrates that he is quick and athletic by doing a giant tope on Speedy.
[00:34:21] Speaker B: Necessary.
[00:34:22] Speaker A: Yeah, it was Cool job, buddy.
Yeah, they just. They just Speedball comes back and they kick the. Out of Nick and then hits that golden triangle Moonsault.
And then Max comes back in the rain, is like around a little bit running the ropes until Speedball just comes in. Is like. Knock it off and kicks.
[00:34:44] Speaker C: Yeah. He flips off the crowd.
[00:34:47] Speaker A: He gets the. He wants the Ultima weapon. Max sweeps their legs out under the ropes and they go to commercial. As he starts. He starts giving Nick advice on how to wrestle.
[00:35:00] Speaker C: This was very fun.
[00:35:02] Speaker A: No, no, no. Don't hit them in the face. Hit them in the stomach. It's like, oh.
And he's like, hey, hit one of those badass moves you do. Hit a sick move.
[00:35:10] Speaker B: And that's why I made that joke. Yeah, don't worry. Folks at home are like, that seems weird. I still like flippy. I was just playing into the Max of it all.
[00:35:22] Speaker A: And then eventually, Max just tries to steal the COVID and Nick's like, hey,
[00:35:32] Speaker B: Max.
[00:35:32] Speaker A: Yeah.
Max politely, I feel, explains that he gets to be Nick Wayne gets to be in the same ring as mjf, and that's reward.
[00:35:44] Speaker B: That's a win. That's a win. That's a duh.
[00:35:47] Speaker A: Nick disagrees and kicks the out of him.
[00:35:51] Speaker B: Ungrateful kids these days.
[00:35:54] Speaker A: Yeah.
Won't even set up chairs kicking.
[00:35:58] Speaker C: Jesus.
[00:35:59] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[00:35:59] Speaker B: I just. Oh, God. I just choked out my water. You.
[00:36:05] Speaker A: Did you miss me?
[00:36:07] Speaker B: I missed you so much. This is not a dirt sheet podcast, but I just want to make my position clear, which is lol. Lmao.
[00:36:21] Speaker A: Oh, God, that's. That's funny.
[00:36:28] Speaker C: Feet off and kick the dirt on him.
[00:36:30] Speaker A: As you said it.
Speedball comes back and gets a misses.
[00:36:38] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:36:38] Speaker A: No, no. I'm sorry.
[00:36:39] Speaker B: I'm sorry.
[00:36:39] Speaker C: Real.
[00:36:39] Speaker B: This is really important. Really important. Really important.
[00:36:42] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:36:42] Speaker B: The earth that I kicked on him, it was flat. Okay?
[00:36:46] Speaker C: Shut the up.
[00:36:50] Speaker A: I want to know if AJ Styles has ever seen the ice walls around the earth.
[00:36:55] Speaker C: Yeah, I bet he has. With. Through his.
[00:36:57] Speaker A: I bet he has. I bet. I bet he's like. I bet Ari Emanuel was like, let's get on the private jet and go see the ice walls, aj, Prove that you were real.
Prove that Bryan Danielson was wrong to mock you.
[00:37:14] Speaker C: That's when the dmt,
[00:37:21] Speaker A: Everybody read Department of Truth.
I'm just gonna just suggest that they do.
Speedball does. It's cool.
[00:37:35] Speaker B: It's a lot of good.
[00:37:36] Speaker A: He just goes right after Speedball for a heat seeker, but they toss him off, and then Max tries to dive at him through the ropes, and Speedball hits that big moonsault he always does.
And now Max is on the floor going tall. Paul, help me.
Yeah. He's like, sorry.
[00:37:56] Speaker C: Sorry, bro. I'm busy.
[00:37:58] Speaker B: No.
[00:37:58] Speaker A: Yeah, no more BS ball. White says, I'm busy right now, buddy.
And then he offers people some water.
[00:38:06] Speaker C: I love that.
[00:38:08] Speaker A: It's so good.
[00:38:09] Speaker C: I love that so much.
[00:38:10] Speaker B: Oh, Paul, help me. Is some good.
[00:38:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, man.
They get. They get back into, like. It's kind of close to the finish. So Nick Wayne comes back and hits a prodigy Plex to Speedball, but it gets blocked.
Speedy gets the Falcon arrow and a shooting star. Press for only two time. Adventure Kick countered with, like, this really nasty kick from Nick Wayne.
[00:38:36] Speaker C: That was so good.
[00:38:38] Speaker A: Then he gets the prodigy Plex. MJF breaks that up.
Nick Wayne shows that he can learn from putting away chairs and punches Max in the stomach.
But he gets Wayne's World countered with an elbow to the back of the head.
Speedball comes in and breaks up the pin. Time Adventure kick to Nick Wayne. Ultima weapon. But then Max throws him out of the ring.
[00:39:01] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[00:39:02] Speaker A: Jumps on salt of the earth. And Nick Wayne has to tap. And MJF wins.
[00:39:07] Speaker B: Yeah,
[00:39:10] Speaker A: I liked it. I like that finish.
[00:39:12] Speaker C: I. You knew it was gonna.
[00:39:14] Speaker A: Yeah, it was absolutely coming. It was just a question of who he was gonna get it on.
[00:39:18] Speaker C: Yeah, I love. It's such a good.
He's such a good piece of. We've said it a million times, but, like, you know.
Yeah, he steals that pin so smoothly.
Yeah. And it's. He. He says after the match, he's like, I told you I was gonna do it. Once again, the top heel. Like, I deliver on what I'm gonna say.
[00:39:40] Speaker A: He grabs the mic, he tells us. He told us what would happen. Thank you, Hampter.
And because the champ always wins, and the champs never lost a day in his life, which is why he's walking into Wembley and walking out with the contract again.
And then Andrade's music hits. And I like this because Max could barely, like, keep a straight face.
Like, as soon as that music hits, he's already like, I lie with you. It's a ruse, you dumb idiots.
[00:40:14] Speaker C: It was super interesting.
[00:40:16] Speaker A: Oh, sorry, yeah. Oh, no, go ahead, please.
[00:40:18] Speaker C: Oh, it was interesting me because Excalibur actually read a little the Andrade's tweet earlier in the match where he was like, hey, guys, sorry I can't be with you. I have something. Like, I have an injury. Nothing worrying. I'll be at all in, like, one question for you. Like, how you know. Then the music hits, and I was like, wait, what?
Anyways, like, oh, Excalibur.
[00:40:45] Speaker A: See the audience, he wants to know how you know Andrade is here. How I know he ain't here? Because I him up last week and he's gutless. And then says, Omega and Osper are both scared of him.
Says they need to get down on their needs and ask God to make sure they don't have to face MJF after all in. But God's not Listening. Because there's only the devil.
[00:41:07] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:41:09] Speaker B: See, Again. Yeah, Again. I'm loving all that. You just gotta stop with this real put. Put the Triple B away. We're done.
[00:41:16] Speaker A: Yeah, it sucks.
[00:41:19] Speaker C: Yeah. Just.
You could have literally not said. He could have literally not have said the last. Sooner or later, you'll find out the hard way that I'm the one true champion at all. And that. And that that segment would have.
[00:41:32] Speaker B: Or.
[00:41:32] Speaker A: Or.
[00:41:32] Speaker C: Or.
[00:41:33] Speaker B: Or he could have said that not holding the belt.
[00:41:38] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, sure.
[00:41:39] Speaker B: Yeah, that still works. And goes hard. Like. That's fine.
[00:41:43] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:41:43] Speaker B: Absolutely ridiculous. Yeah, it's very. It's just all so forced and I don't know why. And like math, like, Maxwell, you're. You're better than this.
[00:41:55] Speaker A: And like I said, there's like. There's no. It's not like an interim championship. It's not. It's nothing. He's just like, here's my belt. I'm the champion.
[00:42:02] Speaker B: He's just decided.
[00:42:04] Speaker A: It's like.
[00:42:04] Speaker B: No, no, it's not actually how this works. That's never kind of really been how any of this has worked.
[00:42:10] Speaker A: But it didn't even work when the last guy tried it.
[00:42:15] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, he had more of a claim.
Very. You're very personable hand.
[00:42:22] Speaker C: Yeah, I am. Because I trust your judgment and your. Like, I'm obviously. Otherwise, this is.
[00:42:27] Speaker B: I like to think I would never let you down, you know.
[00:42:30] Speaker C: Sure.
[00:42:31] Speaker B: I try to be. I try to be a good creator, you know.
[00:42:34] Speaker C: Well, I mean, listen, the hidden history of creation and crater.
This will.
The hand that creates will be bit. So on and so forth. Anyways, sorry.
[00:42:47] Speaker A: That's a threat. Holy.
[00:42:48] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, sorry.
[00:42:53] Speaker A: If you lie, real world champion run gonna bite you.
[00:42:59] Speaker C: No. How could you?
[00:43:00] Speaker A: This was actually good.
[00:43:04] Speaker C: Yeah, right.
[00:43:07] Speaker A: I mean, it wasn't bad. It just wasn't anything because he left in, like, three months.
[00:43:13] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:43:13] Speaker A: He got fired, I should say. There's a promo from Divine Dominion and they're in the Brawling Birds Pub and they're like, you two are a couple of walking stereotypes. And thank you.
[00:43:25] Speaker C: Fingers on the pulse. We literally. I was. Fingers on the pulse. Lena. It's either Lena or Megan. We listen to the pod, like.
[00:43:34] Speaker A: Yeah, thank you.
[00:43:37] Speaker C: Thank you for saying what we're all thinking.
Gorgeously, too.
[00:43:43] Speaker B: Yeah. You should win it all in. And. And also, I mean, I'm sorry, tall woman, please step on me. Okay.
[00:43:53] Speaker A: I don't even. Respectfully, I would just like them to kill
[00:43:57] Speaker B: that, too. That's also good.
[00:43:58] Speaker A: Possibly. Just kill me. Just kill. I Don't.
I don't need it to be like, central or anything. Just kill me.
[00:44:10] Speaker B: That'd be cool. Yeah.
[00:44:14] Speaker C: Surely, surely Megan Bain has looked at herself in her outfit, holding a sword and been like, I would love to kill somebody with this.
And you know what?
[00:44:24] Speaker A: Right?
[00:44:25] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:44:25] Speaker B: I didn't. I, you know, I was hundreds of miles away unable to sleep that night, and I didn't know why.
And now I do.
[00:44:36] Speaker C: Connected.
[00:44:37] Speaker A: Oh. Yep. So the. The. They say that the Birds think the Boids. The Boids deserve a title match in their hometown. And they'll give it to them and they'll show them the hell of losing in front of their hometown, their families and their husbands.
[00:44:52] Speaker C: And.
[00:44:53] Speaker A: And then they raised two beers. The Birds and smash them on the ground.
And I was reminded of Megan Bane on hey ew.
Where she just kept knocking on the floor like a cat.
[00:45:10] Speaker C: Incredible.
[00:45:11] Speaker A: Penelope Ford is in it as well.
[00:45:14] Speaker C: Oh, okay.
[00:45:16] Speaker A: We're. We're back with. Mick Foley's here with the Bang Bang Gang and he's going to interview Jay White.
He's wrestling David Finley in the Continental cup challenge, the C3.
Okay. And so there's no outside interference. And something about the stars aligned because now the dogs and the Death Riders can't get in his way. And he hopes Mox gets through the next round so he can be the one to dethrone him.
And guns up. And Mick Foley is allowed to bang as well. They let him bang bang.
[00:45:50] Speaker B: Very nice. He's like, can I do. Can I.
[00:45:53] Speaker A: Could I do that?
[00:45:53] Speaker B: And I'm like, dude, you're Mick Foley. Like, you're Mick Foley.
[00:45:57] Speaker A: You.
[00:45:57] Speaker B: You. You are honorary Bang Bang Gang. You, like, invented that.
[00:46:01] Speaker A: You were like doing finger guns and wrestling before most of those guys were born.
[00:46:08] Speaker C: The. Both Bill by Austin and Colton. Still a very young sperm. And they're. And their father's nuts. Yes, they were there.
[00:46:20] Speaker A: They were there in his balls. Yes. That's how that works. That's how that works. That's how balls work.
I don't know how I assume that's how it works.
[00:46:33] Speaker C: Yeah, no, that's. Don't fact check me here.
[00:46:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:46:36] Speaker B: You are a real doctor. You are not a real hampter.
[00:46:39] Speaker C: Yeah, truly. I don't understand. Yeah. This is also why they know alchemy. Rightly. Yes, yes, this is true.
[00:46:46] Speaker A: Yeah. Let's just make together. So they. So like the alchemy thing would be they, Billy Gunn got two piles of manure and jacked off on them and they left them overnight. And then they were his Monkey clone sons the next day.
[00:47:00] Speaker B: That's. That's really.
How little do you think of what I do?
[00:47:08] Speaker C: I mean, I. Jesus.
[00:47:09] Speaker A: Listen, I'm just a lot of chemicals and Control.
[00:47:12] Speaker C: Control.
[00:47:13] Speaker A: And I am. Yeah.
[00:47:16] Speaker B: That's a very scientific process.
Yes. Okay.
[00:47:26] Speaker C: I have recipes. There's just. They have a kit. I have a Kid.
[00:47:31] Speaker A: It was 150 hp, like, quite literally. This is something that an alchemist claimed that he did. Was he.
[00:47:39] Speaker C: Oh, my God.
[00:47:40] Speaker A: Homunculus from. From horse manure and jizz.
[00:47:44] Speaker B: And look, we've all claimed.
[00:47:45] Speaker A: And then people were like, can we see it? And he said, no, it ran away.
[00:47:51] Speaker C: Yeah, right. Yeah, I would also.
[00:47:54] Speaker B: Otherwise, sir, you. You came on the most unluckiest chipmunk.
Okay. Is what happened here?
[00:48:03] Speaker A: Poop. There was poop.
[00:48:05] Speaker C: Oh, God.
[00:48:06] Speaker A: Why? Also, this is history.
[00:48:09] Speaker C: Oh, no, no, listen, listen. You. You. You. You miss 100 of the shots you don't take. For every jism on horse tongue, there is, you know, a golem that stands up to three rounds against an adventuring party. You know, there's.
There's stages.
[00:48:30] Speaker B: You know, there's actively a lich in Congress right now. Well, several probably, actually.
[00:48:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:48:38] Speaker A: I was like, yeah, yeah.
[00:48:40] Speaker C: Anyway, I would rather talk about that than the Dave Finley Jay White.
Honestly.
[00:48:52] Speaker B: Really, I thought it was fun.
[00:48:54] Speaker A: It was fine. It wasn't great, actually. I'll preface. This is like, here's part of the thing, and I think I've mentioned this before, but like, they're calling back to a rivalry that happened in another company that also didn't really happen because Jay White signed with AEW and then they had to write him off. So they wrote him off by having Dave Finley beat the. Out of him. And they never really, like followed that up over there. So, like, this is now the follow up.
[00:49:24] Speaker B: This would be like if. Oh, sorry, go ahead.
Well, this would be like if. If all of a sudden Adam Cole was like, no, I'm medically cleared. We should do the ME and MJF blow off.
And it's like, that's. That ship sailed.
Like, that's like. Like that guy that got ruined by. By injuries on both parties. And it's one of the saddest things for, like, I'm. I will always be sad that we never got a proper end to that. But like, yeah, no, I would be like, don't do that. Yeah, like, that doesn't make sense. Don't do that.
So, like, I don't know. Yeah, so I agree. This was fun, but like, for people, for sickos, like, Real old school sickos and like you type sickos who like know your. In Japanese wrestling. This is probably had to feel pretty me.
You know what I mean?
[00:50:19] Speaker A: Well, I mean not even like the quality of the match. It's just like I don't care about their rivalry because like, like I said, it didn't really exist and like we're still like again we're talking about Bullet Club drama from like three or four years ago and the Bullet Club doesn't.
[00:50:37] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:50:38] Speaker C: So this is from a complete newbie perspective.
The commentary and the framing is making me feel like I am supposed to feel very strongly about this and I don'.
There is no real emotional connection to David Finley or to Jay White. I know that he has been out so like. And for some reason I'm expecting a lot more out of him than what he is actually showing me. And it like in previous matches and in this one as well where Finley is predominantly aggressive in this match.
So yeah, this is, that's kind of my feeling like I just don't have the connection. I don't care about the rivalry from that aspect.
[00:51:22] Speaker B: And also you've never had much Finley at this point or, or Jay White at this point either.
[00:51:27] Speaker C: This is my first Jay White too, so.
[00:51:30] Speaker B: Oh yeah. And so I feel bad that this is your first Jay White. You're not.
[00:51:34] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:51:34] Speaker B: Because you're not. They're not getting you the best Jay White also that.
[00:51:38] Speaker C: So I'm watching this and I'm like
[00:51:41] Speaker A: what I, I feel like, I mean like this is kind of just how he, I wouldn't say this is how he wrestles normally. Like he's a, he's always been like a big match performer.
So like if you put him in a big singles match, he will turn in a really, really, really good match. He will have like a great performance.
But he's not like his, his, his main time in New Japan at the top was as a, as a heel where his manager like it would just be like a three ring circus to keep the title on him every time. And yeah people.
Well, I won't say everybody hated his run but like it was not popular.
But when he came to aew, he was actually a better fit for the North American style wrestling because he was just like he could talk.
[00:52:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:52:39] Speaker A: And like he just, it worked on tv but he has not hit a gear that I'm just like, oh yeah, Jay White's back. Now it's more like, you know, he's trying to be careful not to hurt himself because he almost apparently did hurt himself.
[00:52:56] Speaker C: Yeah.
That makes a. On. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Yeah. And that explains a lot of what I'm feeling. It also, I don't know if this is intentional or not. It reminds me of how Will came back as well and, like, seemingly too early and got injured or had. Especially in the neck, air, shoulder area where I was like, okay, well, I don't.
[00:53:25] Speaker A: I feel like Will was doing it, in a sense of.
[00:53:29] Speaker C: Was he big fakes?
[00:53:30] Speaker A: Like, he was. He was. Yeah, he was. It was like a kayfabe sense. Jay White, I feel, is more like they're, like, testing the waters to see
[00:53:39] Speaker B: how he'll do because, yeah, he was out for a while, so it's probably something they want to be really careful about.
[00:53:46] Speaker C: Okay. Okay.
[00:53:47] Speaker A: So, I mean, I'm not gonna say that that makes this match better, but, I mean, again, it was fine. Like, it was a pretty good match.
It just didn't have that grudge match feel to it that they feel like it's getting.
[00:54:05] Speaker C: Finley was great.
[00:54:06] Speaker A: Like, yeah, the crowd was into both guys. Like, one guy really loved Dave Finley. Like, audio.
[00:54:14] Speaker C: Good for his crowd was wild.
Moments as hell.
[00:54:23] Speaker A: Yeah. It's like Jay. It's like Jay gets the early offense. Dave gets the heat into the commercial break.
And I. Yeah, I even wrote down here, it's like, for all, like, the history between the two of them that they're trying to sell, like, I just don't like. It's not. The rivalry is not doing anything for me in aaw.
My notes are very sparse on this.
Yep.
[00:54:49] Speaker B: Understandably, there's like.
[00:54:51] Speaker A: Yeah, it wasn't. It wasn't a lot. It was like, Dave Finley getting heat, Jay White making a comeback.
Jay gets his offense. Yep. He. He tries the Blade Runner, counters into a back breaker, and then he does that. That German suplex thing where he does the bridge, and then he grabs his neck.
[00:55:11] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:55:12] Speaker A: And, like, there's a minute of, like. Because I don't even know what injury he had, but it was also, like, what the. Like, please don't die. First off, don't die.
Second off, stop.
[00:55:24] Speaker B: Don't pretend to die. Yeah.
[00:55:26] Speaker A: And then they. They talk about, like, oh, Finley was elbowing in the back of the neck, so maybe he knew. And they called it unconscious competence, which is, like, the most backhanded compliment I could imagine you could give a wrestler.
[00:55:43] Speaker B: Fair enough.
[00:55:43] Speaker A: Yeah. The Giant struggling.
Yeah. Jay's struggling. Finley's talking.
They do a bunch of counters.
He does this under. Double underhook, dominator. I don't Know what Finley calls it?
They do a blade.
[00:56:00] Speaker B: I really enjoyed his dominator. His like, yeah, like, whatever he calls it like that. That looked awesome. That was all like, probably one of my only notes from this match, I'll be honest. But I was like, that looked great.
[00:56:14] Speaker A: Nothing bad about it.
He gets that brain buster over the knee to Jay and only gets two. And Paul White says, that was finer than frog hair.
[00:56:29] Speaker C: Yeah,
[00:56:32] Speaker A: go ahead.
[00:56:34] Speaker C: He calls, he calls David fit at one point and I was like, what year is it? Once again, I was just like, yes.
[00:56:43] Speaker B: Ah, yes.
[00:56:45] Speaker A: We'll never escape the 90s.
[00:56:47] Speaker C: Never.
[00:56:47] Speaker A: I mean we can't. We literally can't escape the 90s with the giant on commentary in 2026.
So like the closing, like right, right when they do that kick out, I'm like, oh, this is starting to get interesting. And then Finley just is clubbing Jay in the chest with lariats. And then he goes for the brain buster one more time and he countered. Gets countered into a Blade Runner. And that's just it. Jay White wins and he moves on in the C3.
[00:57:21] Speaker C: It was abrupt.
[00:57:23] Speaker A: It was abrupt.
[00:57:24] Speaker C: What I will use.
[00:57:26] Speaker A: It was abrupt. Yeah, it was abrupt. Abrupt, abrupt.
[00:57:29] Speaker B: I will, I, I will give you this. This, this match is like probably the low point of the show for me. I still thought it was fun. I thought that was great. I thought it was wonderful. Good graps. And like it was, it was the thing I love about Continental matches too. Like, it was just like, nah, these are just two good dudes going at it.
[00:57:49] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:57:50] Speaker B: But I will agree with everything you said. It didn't feel any like story motivation here like at all. And if they're trying to make me feel it, it wasn't there. I just thought was super fun graphs
[00:58:01] Speaker A: and they're, they're really trying to push like stories, story lines into this tournament. It feels like, yeah. And like I get it.
But.
[00:58:10] Speaker B: Well, because they're real. They did really good at with the Continental Classic proper. But like, don't try to force it if it ain't there, you know, because that's what's kind of cool about the Continental tournaments is you can just throw people together and not necessarily.
It doesn't have to have a story to it. It's still great because you have such an awesome roster.
[00:58:34] Speaker A: Yeah. And like we've, I know we've talked about that is like the, the C2 is a very like self contained, self contained thing. So like there is a story to it, but it's like a story happening in the Tournament, and then there's like, everything else around it is completely separate. This feels like they're trying to inject like, a more traditional storyline thing into it as opposed to, like, how's this guy going to manage after losing two matches in a row and make it come back and get points in the standings, that kind of thing.
[00:59:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:59:09] Speaker A: Or his ankles fucked up in the first batch, but he won. How's that going to affect him going forward?
It's. Yeah, it's.
[00:59:17] Speaker C: It's organic. Organic stories letting the, like, the matches tell.
[00:59:23] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It's. It's like the. The actual, like, you know, highlighting this. The sports aspect of it. Yeah, I guess. Yeah. Anyway, that's enough serious talk. It's time for this.
Tony Schiavone is here to interview champs Adam Page and Bro Dido.
They're adorable. Bow wow wolf.
I love that. Like, bro, I like that. The. The energy of Brodido is. Brody's like the big, tough dog and Bandito is like the little hyper dog because Bandito is just like, oh, man. So excited.
[01:00:04] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:00:05] Speaker A: And it's adorable.
He's the most excited little guy in the world.
[01:00:10] Speaker C: I. I love how normal Brody King looks in actual clothes. Like, he just looks like a really tall dude.
It's gotta be kind of tough because he just needs to be kind of naked all the time so they can see how big he is because his clothes are baggy. And, you know, he's right. Like, that's a guy.
[01:00:33] Speaker A: That's really funny because trying to look hard. There's a. There was this pictures going around of him playing magic at the gathering, and everyone's like, there's no way. That's pretty King playing magic.
[01:00:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:00:45] Speaker A: He just looks like a small guy.
It's insane when his shirt's off, you just can't tell he's not wearing a shirt anymore because he's got so many tattoos.
[01:00:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:00:56] Speaker A: Good for him.
But yeah, Brody Birsie tells us that he likes being a guy whose actions speak louder than words. And then Hangman gets on the mic and he asks if we mind if a white boy speaks a little espanol. And actually someone. Someone does.
It's the.
It's the. The enemy to lover to maybe enemy.
Swerve. Strickland has made his return.
[01:01:26] Speaker B: No, because. All right, like, I know it's. It's. It's such a problematic film, but true romance. All I could think as soon as that hit was like, hey, Nana, is it white boy day?
It ain't white boy.
Oh, thank You, Gary Elvin. Jesus Christ.
[01:01:52] Speaker A: They come out and Nana tells Tony Schiavone that he stinks and he should leave.
And then swerve. S just like you guys have been trauma bonding because the last couple years have been. The story of you guys is I've beaten all of you and now you're working together.
[01:02:10] Speaker B: Problem with me. Yeah. Now you're all hanging out, being buddies and playing and he's just jealous.
[01:02:17] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:02:17] Speaker B: Stole my boyfriend.
[01:02:18] Speaker A: What the Bandito failed to beat him twice. Brody Bandito failed to beat him. Brody failed twice and sort of left him lying in a pool of his own blood.
And then all this history always comes back to you.
Hangman, love of my life.
[01:02:37] Speaker B: I wish I knew how to quit you.
[01:02:40] Speaker C: Remember when you burned down my house? I put it in my engine.
[01:02:43] Speaker A: When you burned down my house, I calmed him.
[01:02:47] Speaker B: I come and it's like my whole thing now.
[01:02:49] Speaker C: Now. Yeah, I've. I've.
[01:02:51] Speaker A: I can't get.
Unless there's a fire in the room.
[01:02:58] Speaker B: On fire.
[01:02:59] Speaker C: Started setting fires in order to.
[01:03:02] Speaker A: Finally watching somebody gets like, where somebody's got a fetish for starting fires. I feel like that's a movie. That sounds like. Am I getting that?
[01:03:11] Speaker B: Next up with Crash movies.
[01:03:14] Speaker C: Could be. Oh, it might be Crash.
[01:03:17] Speaker B: That was probably just a guy that exists.
[01:03:20] Speaker C: Yeah, actually it is
[01:03:25] Speaker A: his name.
[01:03:26] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:03:26] Speaker A: Yeah, his name is.
[01:03:29] Speaker C: Oh, no, it was wild. It was like a.
It was one of the firemen, like volunteer firemen or firemen from the county. So he would. Or. Yeah.
[01:03:41] Speaker B: Oh, that's right. Yeah. Okay. All right. Yeah. No, that's the thing that happened.
[01:03:45] Speaker A: All right, well, when I release.
[01:03:48] Speaker B: Oh, God, shut up and call the pod.
[01:03:54] Speaker C: Talk about me. Black mold in my. My.
[01:03:58] Speaker B: My vaccine. You brought back evils. You brought. You brought the devil with you.
[01:04:05] Speaker A: Like I said, the shop was haunted. I might. I might have brought, well, the ghost. That ghost is apparently nice old priest
[01:04:12] Speaker B: and a young priest and like fifteen hundred dollars,
[01:04:20] Speaker A: no packs.
Yeah. So, yeah. Swerve reminds him that on the early part of the year, they were on the same page. And he left him alone. He left Paige alone for a second. And now he can't challenge for the world championship again.
So what is going to be the hang. The legacy of the hangman. Riding off into the sunset with these two and. And you know what my man's like.
[01:04:44] Speaker C: Yeah, that's great.
[01:04:45] Speaker A: But Hangman raises a good point. He says he didn't take his eyes off you. Off him. And he's got no room to talk about results because Swerve has done some heinous this year and has nothing to show for it.
[01:05:00] Speaker C: Yeah, sure.
Yeah.
[01:05:03] Speaker B: Hey, hey, hey, hey. He does it for the love of the art. Okay?
[01:05:10] Speaker C: Everybody kind of took one psychic damage.
[01:05:13] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:05:15] Speaker A: So then Ricochet and the lethal twist and the. The demand come out, and he's like, this is Trier's business. And Swerve is alone, so you need to leave.
Yeah. Because he's. He like, swerve, Swerve, Swerve, Swerve. Lost the Goa. Yeah. Because he and Nana didn't respect them and he's got no friends, and they're here to demand a rematch.
So Swerve goes to leave, and he says, yeah, just one more thing. Brody might be the one doing all the barking, but Ricochet is the.
[01:05:55] Speaker C: I thought it was very funny watching this, watching tiny little, relatively speaking, Ricochet talking so much to Swerve.
[01:06:06] Speaker A: He was.
[01:06:07] Speaker C: I mean, he also.
[01:06:08] Speaker A: In one.
[01:06:09] Speaker C: He absolutely was just talk about the biggest little dog ever. And I 150% think that he contoured his abs for the occasion, which I salute you.
But I also am just like, if you were out there alone.
[01:06:27] Speaker B: Those come gutters are bronzer, though.
[01:06:29] Speaker A: Yeah,
[01:06:31] Speaker C: that's right. Oh.
[01:06:34] Speaker B: Oh, no.
[01:06:36] Speaker C: But, yeah, I. I loved watching him push Strickland around, and I love Strickland look. Trying to look real hard and intimidating walking through.
[01:06:47] Speaker A: I mean, none of them beat him up.
[01:06:49] Speaker C: No Nettle did, so nobody would touch him.
[01:06:51] Speaker A: So I wouldn't.
[01:06:53] Speaker B: I wouldn't want to.
[01:06:55] Speaker C: With Swift.
[01:06:58] Speaker A: Even if there were like, eight other people around me who all hated him as much as me, I would not take a swing.
[01:07:07] Speaker C: Oh, before we go on, may I please make a quick statement?
Because Jay Lethal came out with a vest and pants, and I want to simply say that I reject him wearing that outfit. And he is the only person in this universe that makes that look like dog shit.
[01:07:29] Speaker B: Damn.
All right.
[01:07:32] Speaker A: I think so. Spoken. So let it be.
Yeah.
[01:07:37] Speaker B: So Motor be.
[01:07:38] Speaker C: Thank you.
[01:07:39] Speaker B: You know what I mean?
[01:07:40] Speaker C: Okay.
[01:07:42] Speaker A: It's out there.
All right. So Hangman's basically like, you got a point? So why don't you come down to the ring and get a rematch? And Ricochet says, no, we'll do it on our time. And they back off. And that's it.
So it didn't. It didn't go anywhere.
It just. It seemed to just be there to be like, Swerve his back. And he's probably going to find some friends to go after the trio's titles. And everybody thinks it was.
[01:08:16] Speaker B: It was there. It was there. For swerve to be awesome. Which he did.
It was there for them to be able to do, like, one of my favorite goofs to happen in wrestling in a little bit. Do you mind if mindful white boys speak a little espanol just to have his ex boyfriend show up? Yes, actually.
Shut the up, white boy. I got some things to say.
No, that was awesome.
I don't know. I popped so hard for them.
Yeah. Worth it.
[01:08:56] Speaker C: Very quickly, we're dungeon crawling in one of my pathfinder groups, and we've come across a tavern in one of the lower levels of the dungeon.
And we can. We're cool with this level as long as we keep the.
The little Morelocks entertained. And our monk was going to fight against another monk on the level. And I was like, hold on. I was like, she's like, we can't do it right now. And I was like, okay, that's fine. Yeah, we'll fight you. We'll fight you. You want to get. You want to see a fight? Get the crowd all hyped up and be like, next Sunday.
It's like, don't worry. God, I got this. I got this.
[01:09:38] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[01:09:41] Speaker B: I'm proud.
[01:09:45] Speaker A: Well done. I well proud.
[01:09:48] Speaker C: I was. I will. Yeah. I was just like, don't worry. We got. This is. This is perfect. This is.
[01:09:54] Speaker A: We're just gonna open up.
[01:09:56] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:09:57] Speaker B: The grabs is strong with this one.
[01:10:01] Speaker C: I've learned well.
I learned well, teacher.
I. I know.
We need to get a real big guy in here here too.
Yeah, got it.
[01:10:21] Speaker A: Controls.
[01:10:23] Speaker C: Actually, that's a real good idea. I just start writing.
[01:10:27] Speaker A: Writing up promos. Yes.
[01:10:29] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:10:30] Speaker B: Angles.
[01:10:34] Speaker C: Shut the.
[01:10:36] Speaker A: Actually, no, wait, I'll. Here's an aside. This is only. This is only like tangentially wrestling related, but it's also RPG related.
We were. We were it. I don't give a. It's 10 o'. Clock.
[01:10:49] Speaker C: We were.
[01:10:50] Speaker A: We were setting up a boulder trap, and people kept saying, the boulder. The boulder, the boulder. So I'm thinking of the avatar with Mick Foley voice. So just sitting there, just go like, the boulder, which is completely broke the table.
[01:11:09] Speaker B: He broke me right there.
Oh, my God. I watched that episode of that show, and I was just like, this is amazing. That's. Clearly. They're making fun of the rock. It. It wasn't until the end of the episode where I was like, oh, my God, that was Uncle Mick.
[01:11:27] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:11:27] Speaker B: Like, I do. Of course. That was. Of course he was doing a good impression.
Yeah.
[01:11:34] Speaker C: I didn't realize it was Mick. Oh, wow.
[01:11:38] Speaker B: Yeah. No, that is in fact, Mick fol slowly making fun of his former tag partner, who probably gave him cte.
[01:11:49] Speaker C: Jesus.
[01:11:50] Speaker B: Anyways, before I tell you to shut up and call the pod the rock forever now shut up and call the pot.
[01:11:56] Speaker A: You call the pot video.
[01:12:00] Speaker C: This is so good.
[01:12:02] Speaker A: Not really a video, but they were gonna do.
Renee was going to do an interview with Willow, and Mercedes attacked her from behind with the Owen belt, beat the out of her, and then tells her. Keep smiling, Willow, you dumb.
[01:12:17] Speaker B: Wait, hold on. No, no, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Because this was my favorite part of the whole show. Because while this is going down. Oh, the timing is important.
She beats her down and everything is silent. And some fed fan that Paul probably bought the ticket for.
Go, Sasha. We love you, Sasha. Come home. And as soon as. She said. As soon as the Fed plant says that Mercedes goes dumb.
Like, shut up. Dumb.
[01:12:57] Speaker C: I'm just.
I didn't realize the timing with the.
[01:13:01] Speaker A: I didn't notice that. Yeah, I did have the note about the fed fan.
[01:13:08] Speaker B: It's the first thing I noticed was the timing did pop me so hard. Sasha come home dumb.
[01:13:17] Speaker A: Apparently she commented on it on. Yeah, yeah, I did not see it, but I. I do know that she did do. So anyway, I forget what it was.
[01:13:26] Speaker B: It was pretty. It was pretty funny.
[01:13:30] Speaker C: I saw it because it was. She said we like they always plant somebody in the crowd.
[01:13:35] Speaker B: Like, yeah, there's always a fed. So. Yeah, she said there's always a fed plan or some like that.
[01:13:41] Speaker C: They always send feds to watch the show. Crying emoji, dollar sign, tongue out.
[01:13:46] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what it was. Yeah. Yeah.
Can we bring out hampter? Can we get that? Can we bring.
[01:13:52] Speaker C: Yeah, actually I do because I posted it earlier in the chat.
[01:13:57] Speaker A: Oh, that's right.
[01:13:58] Speaker B: Yeah, that's right.
[01:13:59] Speaker A: I forgot you did it too.
[01:14:01] Speaker B: Oh, my God.
[01:14:02] Speaker A: You are the Jamie paying attention.
[01:14:03] Speaker C: I am, I am.
Well, I also getting it on my Facebook feed now, so I'm doomed. So.
[01:14:09] Speaker B: Oh, yeah,
[01:14:13] Speaker A: it's all over.
[01:14:14] Speaker C: I'm gone. I'm gone.
[01:14:15] Speaker B: We've ruined a perfectly good hampter again.
[01:14:19] Speaker A: Again. Well, I don't know how over. This is TNT championship. Kevin Knight versus Chris Jericho.
[01:14:27] Speaker C: Sorry.
Sorry.
[01:14:29] Speaker A: I want to believe Kevin Knight is wearing that puff jacket as a shout out to his old partner Kushida, but I don't know. Don tells him to do it for him, And then Knight uses his passing the belt to Aubrey as a distraction. So like, he's just like jumps Jericho right away.
[01:14:54] Speaker B: See this this is, this is the match that I just, I, I, I did not care to pay attention to.
[01:15:03] Speaker A: This is the one where Jericho. Well, Paul White. No more bs. Paul White was letting us all know about how Jericho was his, his favorite tag partner.
[01:15:17] Speaker C: And
[01:15:19] Speaker A: But Kevin Knight wants us to know that it's his city because I think he is from Vegas. I don't know.
I don't know.
[01:15:26] Speaker B: All I know. All I know is that he got a bad match out of Kevin Knight. And that's, that's wild.
[01:15:34] Speaker A: See, I don't think it was a bad. I'm not gonna say it was a bad match. I'm gonna say I thought this was a bad match.
I thought it was a bad match with finish was.
[01:15:46] Speaker B: Oh, the, the finish was so different kinds of like, it's so many different kinds of. And it ruined the rest of the match for me, really. That and the Jericho at all, it
[01:15:56] Speaker C: just, he's from, he's from.
Kevin Knight is from Atlanta, Georgia.
[01:16:03] Speaker A: Oh, well, maybe he just likes Vegas.
[01:16:05] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, honestly.
Yeah.
[01:16:09] Speaker A: I don't, I've never been. I don't know if he wants to have Vegas. He can have it for all I care.
[01:16:15] Speaker C: I think it's like a party town and that's cool.
[01:16:19] Speaker A: I don't, I guess I'm not hip and I don't like to party.
[01:16:22] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, exactly. I'm not, I don't do shots.
[01:16:31] Speaker A: Paul screams at Don Callis. I will cancel you like one of your bad checks.
That was fun.
Here's the thing about this match is like, this match worked because of the reason that every other Jericho match has worked on this return, which is that he's put with somebody younger and way more athletic than he is right now and can therefore bump like crazy and just do all of the. For him. It's like, I feel like who's he wrestled. He's wrestled Ricochet Champa and now Knight.
[01:17:10] Speaker B: Champa.
[01:17:11] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:17:11] Speaker B: Yeah.
So guy. Guys that can. Yeah. And guys that can bump like crazy for him faster.
[01:17:17] Speaker A: It's like it's showing. I guess I will give Tommy choppers some flowers in this as like, he's good enough to carry Jericho to a match that's decent.
And so is Night did it.
[01:17:33] Speaker C: I hate. So I'm trying to view this match and what happened in it as like more of a feud between Don Callis and Jericho. Because I was like, kevin doesn't need that.
[01:17:50] Speaker B: Yeah.
Kevin felt just kind of there in a lot of this. And the, the end where he had to drag. He had to Needlessly drag him to the ropes in the walls to get stabbed.
[01:18:05] Speaker A: Yeah, okay, so let's.
[01:18:07] Speaker B: That was some.
[01:18:08] Speaker C: Yeah, let's go.
[01:18:10] Speaker B: That was some.
[01:18:11] Speaker A: Let's just go to the end. So. Yes, they do a bunch of me. Yeah, they go to a bunch of. And they, they do a thing where night wants to Hurricane Ron up. It gets caught with a power bomb and Jericho locks in the walls of Jericho.
[01:18:28] Speaker B: Wait, hold on, hold on. Because this was my other note too. So somebody goes, he's in the walls. He's in the walls. And my brain just went, oh God, Jericho in my walls. That would suck.
[01:18:44] Speaker C: Just plays.
[01:18:49] Speaker B: And it's like, oh jeez.
Like scratching at the wall.
[01:18:55] Speaker C: Just his intro on repeat.
[01:18:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:18:59] Speaker B: First I had yellow jackets, now I got Chris Jericho on my walls.
[01:19:03] Speaker C: See, that's why I, that's why I leave what I do in. In the walls and the installation so as to not prevent Chris Jericho's from nesting.
[01:19:13] Speaker B: Yes. And I thank you. You are so good. You're. You do very good work at protecting us from pests and people need to be kinder to hampers. I'm just saying they provide a role.
[01:19:26] Speaker C: Get rid of Chris. Chris Jericho.
[01:19:30] Speaker A: So yes, Jericho has the walls on Kevin Knight in the middle of the ring. And then Don runs up and there's like some kind of missed cue or something because like as Don was early cuz Jericho starts screaming no, no, no, no, no, no.
And then Don runs away and then I couldn't see what happens, but like Jericho drags Knight closer to the ropes and then Don stabs him in the face.
[01:19:58] Speaker B: Yeah, stupid.
[01:20:01] Speaker A: And then there's a coast to coast. He kicks out. UFO splash is counted with the code breaker. That sucked. He calls for the Judas effect and it misses.
Night Low blows him with Aubrey's not looking. And then Crash landing wins and Kevin Knight retains and he beats Darby Allen's record for most TNT title defenses. Good job, buddy.
[01:20:24] Speaker C: Yeah.
Plus side is he does. Yeah, Chris. Chris doesn't touch the title.
[01:20:29] Speaker A: Thank God, like for the. They announced later on that Knight is gonna wrestle Darby in a no DQ match at all in. And I'm just like, thank God.
I can't believe I'm saying it, but thank God it's that. And not like they're doing the thing where Jericho loses to a guy and then beats a guy.
[01:20:48] Speaker C: Like, yeah, like the big pay per view.
[01:20:50] Speaker B: Yeah, like they did with Champa. And yeah, like, yeah, let's not drag this one out. There's no need to drag this out.
[01:20:58] Speaker A: And like I'M not excited to see Darby at night in Darby's one match, but, yeah, it'll be better than anything with Jericho, I can tell you that much.
[01:21:09] Speaker B: Yeah, that was ungood.
[01:21:12] Speaker A: The.
The carry jobs being done. The only. The only other carry job currently that I've seen that's as impressive as what's been done for Jericho is.
Oh, what the was his name. Shane Haste was the Noah champion, and Tetsuya Naito has no legs that function anymore.
And that man, Shane Hayes is like. I was not, like, super thrilled with him, but, like, I do. I do. I respect that man's game because he literally carried Tetsuya Naito through a match.
Like, if I've watched some of the highlights, it's like, oh, he's doing the Destino for him. Okay. And he had to. Okay.
No, it's okay.
All right. Claudio's here, and Mox and Marina are doing some in the background. And he says he doesn't care who he wrestles next. He'll treat everybody the same. And the mock comes out, and he says, anything can happen in this tournament. His run could end tonight, and him and Jack are going to roll the dice.
Are you ready? Like I am tonight? Because Fortune, she has a habit of doing just as she pleases.
And then he goes to. I mean, grapple with Wheeler. Yuta, temperature in that room is fine. The temperature's fine.
[01:22:31] Speaker C: I love that he. He. When he doesn't know what to do, he just tackles the nearest twink. He's just like, okay, conversation over. And then goes for either Danny or Wheeler.
[01:22:44] Speaker A: Like, I experienced emotions.
[01:22:48] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah.
[01:22:49] Speaker A: Gotta let me get your tummy. Let me get your tummy.
Who's your big boy?
[01:22:58] Speaker C: You're the big boy. You're the big boy. Biggest boy.
I know it's. I know it's not, but the fact that Claudio's in round two and John now is in round two, and I'm like, interesting hearkening back to 250 years ago when they were sizzling the rift in between the Jon Moxley and the Claudio and The Death Writers.
[01:23:25] Speaker A: 250 years ago.
It's like 60 months.
[01:23:32] Speaker C: Time means nothing to me.
[01:23:35] Speaker A: It's a construct. Time's a construct.
[01:23:37] Speaker C: I never know how far away it was. So that's why I just. Just grossly overestimate it. So. Because I'm gonna be wrong anyway. So that's why you.
[01:23:48] Speaker A: 250 years.
[01:23:50] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:23:51] Speaker B: Four score and seven pay per views ago.
[01:23:56] Speaker C: These four Death Riders.
[01:24:01] Speaker A: Awful Death Riders proud of Palm. This wrestling company, some gay Sex versus Viva Van.
[01:24:12] Speaker C: Yeah, let's go. The.
[01:24:13] Speaker A: The women got like a whole half hour sort of.
[01:24:17] Speaker B: No, because back to back this. And Viva Van did. Viva. Has Viva gone her. Gotten her. Her graphic yet?
[01:24:26] Speaker A: I don't think so. I know she's a regular in Ring of Honor.
[01:24:31] Speaker B: They need.
[01:24:32] Speaker A: She was great. No, this was.
[01:24:34] Speaker B: They need to give Eva a graphic. Like, they've been talking the way they were talking her up, like the way Tony especially was talking about her on commentary. I think she's coming up.
[01:24:47] Speaker A: They.
She was awesome. Like, this was a short match, it was not long, it was not squash length, but no Vivo Van looked awesome in it.
[01:24:58] Speaker B: Yeah, this was like decidedly not a squash. And that was like really cool.
[01:25:06] Speaker A: And it was kind of exactly what I wanted the match to be. It's like, give them like five or six minutes, let them do a bunch of.
Obviously stat was gonna win, but yeah, like, this was good.
[01:25:19] Speaker B: It wasn't a squash.
Yeah. Again, like, the way they're talking her up and the fact that it wasn't a squash. And like there was. It was like, it was like at a point early ish on in the match, she started like, she like did a reversal. Something started to get like some really good offense in and I was like, oh, oh, this isn't. This isn't. You're not jobbing. You're not like, you're not jobbing right now. You are like, this is a fight. It's a short one, but it was a fight. And then, then I noticed Tony being like, yeah, she's. This is a seven year veteran. She's been Japan. Like, she's the first, like Vietnamese American Bob, all this. Or I think it was Vietnamese Mar.
[01:26:00] Speaker C: I forget.
[01:26:01] Speaker B: But like, yeah, he's. He's like saying all these things about her and I'm like, she's getting the graphic.
Like, Like, I think.
[01:26:09] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, like she hit that, that rolling kick that looked like it just. Her heel just bounced off a stat's face and stat dropped like a rock.
Yeah, more really, really good stuff.
Finish.
Viva gets stabbed up in an electric chair position, but stat rolls through.
She misses one lariat. Viva Van misses her own lariat and stat comes around with a discus night fever. That ends it.
This was great.
[01:26:41] Speaker B: Like this, this, that was fantastic.
[01:26:43] Speaker A: This was, this was like exactly what I wanted. Like, so I, I was supremely happy about all this.
Mick comes out to interview her, shouts out his daughter Noel in the front row. Because of course he does. He always does that.
[01:26:58] Speaker B: He always does. And also I'm a sucker for Noel Foley.
[01:27:02] Speaker A: She just.
[01:27:03] Speaker B: She just seems like a sweetie.
[01:27:05] Speaker A: And Mick lets us know that next week, my world will defend her TBS title in a four way against Statlander, Sheeta and Persephone.
[01:27:15] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:27:16] Speaker B: Yes.
[01:27:17] Speaker A: Stat takes. Stat takes. The mic says she is proud of Maya for winning the title, but Persephone and Sheeta, she's gonna make them bend over backwards and shove their hands up their own asses. That's cool.
[01:27:31] Speaker B: The look on Mick Foley's face as she's delivering that line.
Like he. He's just like. Yeah, like, yeah, like, like not. Not along. Like. Huh? No, I'm feeling. I'm feeling what you're saying.
Like, that was. Yeah, absolutely right up their asses.
[01:27:50] Speaker A: And stat Daddy is gonna make them pay for every belt shot and for every sneak attack.
And she was made for the TBS title. And the music cuts off whatever she's saying next. And we're jumping into the next match, which is Hikaru shida and Persephone vs Maya World and Thunder Rosa.
[01:28:08] Speaker C: Oh, but my beloved, she come.
She comes in and like, it's knocking her belt against her head. Oh, God,
[01:28:19] Speaker A: it's good.
[01:28:21] Speaker B: Everything about her, I just. Yeah, I need more Persephone at all times. And like, at this point, I'm losing my mind because I was like, wait a second, we're getting back to back women's matches.
And they're. And they're all talking.
[01:28:37] Speaker A: Persephone. Well, I think when Persephone just always
[01:28:41] Speaker C: gets caught on Mike. Because she's a chatterbox.
[01:28:43] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, the first time I saw her was 20, 25.
She was in like a four way or something in for Russell Dynasty. And like, she was good. But like, now that she's on tv, like, she, she gets the TV aspect. So, like, she talks. She, like, never stops chatting.
She's got the facial expression. She's. She's good. She's good at this. I think she's. She might have a bright future in this wrestling business, this thing that she does.
[01:29:17] Speaker C: Yeah.
Best talker in the game, Bart. Yeah, my favorite.
[01:29:22] Speaker B: The game.
Sorry.
[01:29:24] Speaker A: No, not that game.
Not. Not that game.
Yep. So Maya starts out, we stand a fed.
[01:29:35] Speaker C: Jesus.
[01:29:38] Speaker A: I think Paul is probably used to having feds in his motorcycle group, you know, checking.
[01:29:43] Speaker B: Yeah.
Or in the. Or in the office. Jesus.
[01:29:49] Speaker A: Jesus. Yeah.
[01:29:51] Speaker B: Sasha,
[01:29:59] Speaker A: Just think, just imagine you work for a pro wrestling company and you frequently have to answer questions from the FBI because your boss is either trafficking women or drugs. Or sometimes both.
[01:30:16] Speaker B: Or sometimes both or, or, or your boss's estranged wife is trying to destroy the apart. Department of education. Education to make it easier to traffic women in drugs and sometimes both.
[01:30:35] Speaker A: Wow. That's, like, a thing in America these days, huh?
Yep. So Maya starts out really fast against Persephone, and she's like, nope. Tags in Sheeta. And then Thunder Rosa comes in, does some cool Lucha stuff.
And so, of course, the heel thing. Thumb to the eyes. Heels get the advantage. Commercial heat.
And, like, this is like, I. They. They should just let Persephone do her heat segments before the commercial because she's just so good at it. Like, she's, like, a great combination of, like, doing bullying. She hits, like, really nasty offense and just talk. Talking mad constantly.
[01:31:17] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:31:18] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:31:18] Speaker B: I need more Persephone.
[01:31:21] Speaker C: Yeah.
Screaming at her. And Maya.
Marina does it, too, I think. I don't. I think it's a sign of a. I love it.
[01:31:32] Speaker A: I. I do. Like.
Yeah. Yep.
[01:31:35] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:31:37] Speaker A: So, yeah, Rosa makes a bit of a comeback, but she doesn't make a tag. And commentaries are like, why would you do that?
Because they get. She gets more beaten up, and they're just kicking her ass. After the commercial, everyone's like, she was dumb. Why would you not make a tag? And she eventually does get a double DDT hot tag. My world comes in, just runs nuts.
It's this, like, the. It was maybe a little bit contrived, but, like, it was so impressive. I don't care. She hit that bridging suplex with the pin. It's like, are you kidding me?
[01:32:20] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:32:22] Speaker A: Rose is back in. She takes out. She did. And they throw forms at each other. And she gets the Falcon Hour. She does the deal.
Maya saves her. Because nobody kicks out of the Falcon arrow after all.
My attack ends. No, no. Not when she did. No. No one kicks out of the Falcon Hour ever.
My world comes back in, rolls through on Persephone, hits a big stunner to Sheeta.
[01:32:49] Speaker B: My world got pretty stunner.
[01:32:51] Speaker A: Yeah.
Persephone holds on her, and she's. Oh, I don't actually remember what happened. I know. It still makes sense. Eventually hits, like, a jumping knee on Persephone, which takes her out.
And then Maya hits a bridging slam and wins. Gets the pin. Winners, Meyer World and Thunder Rosa and Stat comes out to pose with the winners.
[01:33:13] Speaker B: Can't even be that upset. I was like, whoever. Whichever one of these teams win, my gay ass is happy.
I'm just so happy.
[01:33:25] Speaker A: Yeah. I. I want Maya to keep this going.
[01:33:28] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:33:30] Speaker B: I'm just gonna go ahead and root for women more More women.
Yeah. If you just. If you just want to, like, you can keep doing 30 minute overruns.
Uncle boy can eat my entire womanly dick. Like, I don't give a flying.
My girl paint womanly will if you will at the woman lip. Penis status. Yeah.
[01:34:05] Speaker A: American dream. Heard a word for the first time, and it's called gawk.
[01:34:10] Speaker B: And I tell you, it's a combination of two of my favorite things. Baby.
[01:34:13] Speaker A: I put it in Google machine and it came out all kinds of weird. But the American team, things you've never seen before.
[01:34:22] Speaker C: I like it all.
[01:34:23] Speaker B: And for some reason, several pictures of my son Dustin.
Gold does. You said what you said, and now you're fair game.
This is what happens when you with the queers.
[01:34:39] Speaker A: Okay.
[01:34:41] Speaker B: Betray us. I will come for you forever.
This is not what happens when you queer in the ass. That's a different podcast.
[01:34:49] Speaker A: This is what happens when you.
I finish that.
Yeah.
[01:34:55] Speaker C: Don't say it.
[01:34:57] Speaker B: Oh, my God. Now I'm not.
[01:34:59] Speaker C: I was going with the Big Lebowski.
[01:35:01] Speaker A: Yeah, no, that's what I was gonna say. I was gonna say this is what happens when you.
Yeah. In the ass.
But Dustin. Dustin's fine. He's monitoring chemtrails, from what I understand.
[01:35:14] Speaker C: Good.
[01:35:16] Speaker A: This is what we have.
Yeah.
[01:35:22] Speaker B: I had a point at one point. Now it just were like four layers.
[01:35:27] Speaker A: American, American dream discovers.
[01:35:31] Speaker B: Not just the American dream. Talking about gock and penis. And she.
[01:35:40] Speaker A: I was just about to say penis,
[01:35:45] Speaker B: baby.
[01:35:48] Speaker A: You see, trans women call their penises all kinds of things.
The American dream is trying to educate himself,
[01:35:57] Speaker C: be an ally.
[01:35:57] Speaker B: Ally is because I love the babies. Baby.
[01:36:04] Speaker A: Whatever she wants to call it, if it be an athenus or a gak.
Chaser. Dusty.
She said that I was a cheetah.
Romantically. And I thought I was being a respectful gentleman.
I just.
[01:36:46] Speaker B: Fans of my son Dustin. This is the.
[01:36:52] Speaker C: Damn it, stupid.
[01:36:55] Speaker B: Shut up and call a stupid guy.
[01:36:58] Speaker A: In fact, you know what?
That's what happened on Dynamite. American dude came from the dead. Talked about how he learned what, you know, being a chaser was. And there wasn't a promo from Darby Allen. Talking like a school shooter in a hallway.
[01:37:14] Speaker C: Yeah. And then we went on to one of my favorite promos of this card, this thing.
[01:37:22] Speaker A: So Renee is here to congratulate Kyle Fletcher because he beat speedball last week.
Let's your actually compliments Speedy.
[01:37:32] Speaker C: He did. Always brings out the best in me.
[01:37:35] Speaker A: He says he's now defended the title. Where does he have the international title? Three times in three countries. Ella is fanning herself, He is prepared to add the. The UK to the number of countries that he's defended the international title in. And Don says to that end he has a challenger who hasn't had a rematch yet. And it's my boy, my husband, Konosuke Takeshita.
[01:38:07] Speaker C: Yes.
[01:38:07] Speaker A: And Kyle's great in the.
Yeah, he just. Yeah, he. He didn't make the. The semifinal. He didn't make the finals, so.
Oh, well. Poor. My poor husband. I will comfort you.
[01:38:19] Speaker C: That's fine. He's going to all in London. He's gonna take the belt back.
[01:38:23] Speaker A: He wrestled an extremely handsome boy at the DDT show.
So.
Yeah, I was jealous.
Oh, yeah.
[01:38:32] Speaker B: Okay. I think. I think I'm back. But I did get a fan.
That's actually a really good idea.
Oh, what?
[01:38:44] Speaker A: God,
[01:38:46] Speaker B: it's got a gay revolution on it.
[01:38:48] Speaker A: No, I. I don't. I like. I quite like that. I was just thinking about Chaser Dusty.
[01:38:53] Speaker B: Rosie, no, don't, don't.
[01:38:56] Speaker A: I'm not gonna do it. I was just thinking about it.
[01:38:58] Speaker B: Please.
[01:38:59] Speaker A: I was just thinking about it.
[01:39:02] Speaker B: I'm gonna have to edit this.
And later. And like go. Go through that again. You almost. We almost killed me this, y'.
[01:39:11] Speaker C: All.
[01:39:12] Speaker B: God damn it.
[01:39:14] Speaker A: I feel like I've done that like three times in a row now.
[01:39:17] Speaker B: That's better. That's better than Tumblr road.
[01:39:20] Speaker A: That is better than tumbling.
[01:39:24] Speaker C: Yeah, no, that was.
[01:39:26] Speaker B: That's natural progression, folks. Yeah, real, real quick. Real quick. This is like a long back running. So one of our early Patreons. If you go to patreon.com wnffpod you can go listen to where this came from. But we used to watch the old 90s pay per views and do watch alongs and Tumblr Dusty Roads is a
[01:39:52] Speaker C: thing so much fun because that's like three hours of 90s wrestling and you lose your God.
[01:39:59] Speaker B: And by the end of it, by the end of it, we were just gone.
[01:40:05] Speaker C: Just.
[01:40:05] Speaker B: Oh my God. They said I was. They said I was tender. Quia, baby. And I don't understand
[01:40:14] Speaker C: Neoprons.
[01:40:17] Speaker A: I'm reclaiming my slurs.
[01:40:21] Speaker B: I'm reclaiming my identity, baby.
[01:40:25] Speaker A: All right, so Jesus, I am calling the pot. I'm trying to call the damn pod.
Don also says that Okada is also in the match and Kyle's just like actually that and Okada says it's okay because the math is in our favor as long as now that, yeah, the belt will stay in the family.
[01:40:53] Speaker C: Don's like, I know you're not good at math. So let me break this down for you.
[01:40:58] Speaker A: As soon as he, as soon as he said like you're like 66 and 2/3 chance, I was just like, wait, please don't. Please don't do callous math.
[01:41:11] Speaker B: It was great when Max did it the one time he wanted.
[01:41:15] Speaker C: Yeah, he did.
[01:41:16] Speaker A: He at least resisted the urge to do it.
[01:41:21] Speaker B: I. I gotta say, I love what. I love what I'm seeing, which is that.
I can't. I can't. Words. Words died because of Dusty, the dirty slut. The dirty slut with the. The dirty slut with the whore mouth is gonna leave the family because he's give it away. I made a mistake by betraying that beautiful, beautiful man.
And, and he did because Okada is Okada. And what was I thinking? And that was gonna happen. And I think that's.
That's all.
That's all I had to say about that. Yeah, me too. Very much. I love. I love when Okada and cow is like celebrate that. Yeah, you're right.
[01:42:12] Speaker C: I.
[01:42:14] Speaker B: You.
Yeah, you're an evil piece of too.
[01:42:21] Speaker A: Yeah.
All right, main event time. Last match. Continental Challenge Cup. Jack Perry versus John Moxley. This was until this point in the show, it was just kind of like, well, this is certainly a dynamite. And then this match was just like.
I believe in the discord. I said it straight down to the balls.
[01:42:44] Speaker C: Yeah, you did.
[01:42:47] Speaker A: You can, you can fact check. Oh yeah, go ahead.
[01:42:50] Speaker B: Yeah, please, please.
[01:42:52] Speaker C: So I. I know my brain is a sponge and like full of holes and stuff like that, and I don't know how well I'm gonna keep this, but I believe that this match made match of the year for me.
[01:43:04] Speaker B: Oh, yeah.
[01:43:06] Speaker C: I mean, I wouldn't say like super high, but I really loved the showcase of both of these icons. And I think they.
And I. I liked this kind of like the storytelling that I saw in it where they both used their like holds. And I think, I think I absolutely know. Jack came up to Mox and was. Got real excited. He's like, we give me the mock special. Will you give me a special? And Mox was like, sure will Slab.
Just like, hell yeah, I will.
I would.
I thought it was like. I loved the fact that I got to see the. That this is a m. The first match between these two, which I thought found was astounding.
[01:43:55] Speaker A: I could not believe that they've never wrestled one on one before until this match.
[01:44:00] Speaker B: Bananas.
[01:44:02] Speaker A: This was awesome. This was like a match I've been like waiting for Jack Perry to have in like forever.
So I Hopefully he can keep going with this. But, like, this is really good. Like, so, like, they. They grapple to start.
[01:44:17] Speaker C: Oh, yeah.
[01:44:18] Speaker A: And then, like, Mox does like this. He get. Has him in, like, that waist hold. They back him up into the ropes and they do, like, the way. The way he lets go of Jack and the way Jack, like, backs away from the clean break was extremely sensual.
I encourage everyone to watch it. I'm going to try and clip it for the picture for the episode because. Holy.
That was very, very respectful as.
[01:44:43] Speaker C: No BS Paul White says, very respect that. Very clear.
[01:44:49] Speaker A: No BS Paul.
I can't believe. You can't. He must have come up with that on his own.
Yeah. So Jack sends Mox out to the floor and he's gonna do a baby face suicide. But Mox just elbows him in the face.
Like, it wasn't even. Just like, like, oh, he bounced off him. It was like. No, he just, like, full on clobbered the kid in the face. Throws him into the ring post.
Jack's bleeding everywhere.
[01:45:20] Speaker C: Yep.
[01:45:21] Speaker A: Yeah. And he. He, like, starts firing up and Mox cuts him off after he tries to do, like, a sliced bread on the floor. Max is just like. Like, actually, no, I don't feel. I'm not going over for that. And just tosses him into the tape. The. The timekeeper's table.
[01:45:37] Speaker C: Yeah, it was great. He used all of his energy against him and he was just like, okay. And immediately got through him into the desk. It was so great.
[01:45:48] Speaker A: Perry. Yeah, Perry's bleeding everywhere, and Mox is gonna go throw him into the desk. And I actually. Because Tony Chevalier is like, no, no, no, no, no. Like, like, like he's a. Like, Mox is a dog about to roll in some deer out in the park or something.
Yeah, it's like, no, don't do it.
He's licking blood off his knuckles. Crowds like,
[01:46:12] Speaker C: yeah. Oh, the crowd love Jon Moxley.
I mean, Vegas, I feel Vegas is very much a John Moxley.
[01:46:21] Speaker A: So, like, yeah, going, yeah, Mox. Mox doing his. Mox doing his Heat segment is another thing of, like, why I like him so much because he does all the same. He, like, he gets his in, but he's so good at, like, controlling a crowd. So, like, he's gonna do his 10 punches.
But, like, he. He, like, he. He. The way he works it, it's so good.
And, like, everybody knows, oh, he's gonna bite him in the bloody face after this. And he does, and everybody's still popped for it. Like, it's so good. He Is.
[01:46:53] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:46:54] Speaker A: Really good. If you don't like Mox, that's fine. You're welcome to your opinion. You're wrong.
[01:47:01] Speaker C: Yeah. You're wrong.
[01:47:02] Speaker B: He's. He is the. He is the ace of professional wrestling. Is at this point is how I feel.
It's not just. He's not just the AC of AEW like this. He's the man. The. The man literally bleeds pro wrestling. Like, he's just all that is good about this sport.
So good.
[01:47:28] Speaker C: It's so funny because he's held this belt forever and I don't give a.
Go ahead.
[01:47:37] Speaker B: Yeah. Keep it up.
[01:47:38] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:47:39] Speaker B: Oh, I mean, Okada had it for like, what, like two years? I don't give a.
[01:47:43] Speaker A: Like. No.
What's What I find fascinating about Mox's run with it is he. This is he. When he was world champion, he was like, not defending that title. He kept it locked up and hidden.
[01:47:56] Speaker B: Yep.
[01:47:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:47:57] Speaker A: And that was. And then he wins the Continental Classic. He wins the belt, and his entire thing has just been like, come find me. Yeah, I don't care.
I will wrestle you.
[01:48:08] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:48:09] Speaker B: I love it and I think it. I think it. The reason I love it so much and it works even more is that when you put it in those terms, terms of the like, putting it in, like the dichotomy against when he had the big belt, it's like that whole thing, everyone's like, why is it like, away and blah, blah, blah. Well, that was. The whole thing is he's like, you've made this championship about this big gaudy thing and not about the grabs, so I'm gonna take that away. Well, this. This belt, by its very nature and the rules that govern it is about the graphs.
Like, like, that's. And that's why he. He loves it so much is like this. It's like almost like the roh pure. You know what I mean? It's like this is. Yeah. There's no one to with it. It's just you come in here and you show me everything you got basically. And like, that's the most. Jon Moxley.
God, I love him. And also, like, anyone who.
[01:49:11] Speaker A: Who.
[01:49:12] Speaker B: Anyone who. Who says that Jack Perry sucks or can't wrestle or needs to move on or they should get rid of where he's not to get. Get.
[01:49:23] Speaker C: Wow.
[01:49:25] Speaker B: Yeah. They exist. Hampter. I don't show you everything. I tried to protect you.
Yeah. No, it's wrong.
[01:49:31] Speaker A: I think. I think some of. Some of the people that are tired of Jack. I think it's warranted.
To a degree or it was warranted. I think he's gotten better since he came back, and now that he's signed again and, like, if this match is an indication of what's to come, I think he's gonna be fine.
[01:49:53] Speaker B: Yeah, I think it is.
[01:49:54] Speaker A: Because, like, yeah, the.
The box is basically just bullying Jack Perry the entire match up until this point.
[01:50:02] Speaker B: Yeah, like, oh, yeah, he's.
[01:50:04] Speaker A: He's like, got him in a leg lock and pulling his hair back.
[01:50:10] Speaker B: He's playing with his food.
[01:50:12] Speaker A: Yeah. Like, come. The comebacker. Lariat bounce just bounces off of Mox, and Mox just gets in his face and says, like, you want to be a big boy? You want to be a main eventer, this is your big chance.
He doesn't say, like, you're not gonna do it or you can't do it. It's like, get up and fight.
[01:50:28] Speaker B: He says, show me you can do it.
[01:50:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:50:31] Speaker B: Oh, look at. Look at the. Oh, that is it. That's pro wrestling. That's the thing. Not you. You can't do it. Show me.
Put me in the corner. Show me. Make me bleed. Which, like. Oh, so good.
[01:50:45] Speaker A: Which has forever been his thing. Like, because remember, he won the tournament and he put over every single person in the tournament, whether he beat them or they beat him. He's like, thank all of you for doing this.
[01:50:57] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:50:58] Speaker B: Thank you for giving me your everything.
[01:51:01] Speaker C: And, yeah, it also then adds on to his credibility as this guru, as this trainer, as this cult leader, where it's just like, this is the. This is the path I've traveled. Like, I have put my. Myself in. I've.
I lived my. My. I live my words. I'm always challenging myself. I'm always trying to put everything on the line because that's the only way to live, you know?
[01:51:29] Speaker B: No, and he. And he. Because I think that's why I love it so much, too, is. Is the cult leader things, because it's like, well, it's not. Yeah, he's a cult leader, but also he's really just like, guru, I think is the best way. Or even, like, he's. He's. It's like a bodhisattva. Like, he's literally like. You know what I mean? Like, this is what I. Hey, this is what worked for me. This is the wisdom I learned. Come sit under the tree with me. I'll show you how to gay sex your way into.
[01:51:56] Speaker C: Yeah, to the. To the main event.
[01:51:58] Speaker B: Yeah, like, that's like.
[01:52:02] Speaker A: And that's like, that was the Point I was going to make next was that is he really a cult leader?
If he's legit, yeah, that's it.
[01:52:11] Speaker B: That's.
[01:52:11] Speaker C: Yeah, like, I mean, Jesus was a cult leader, you know, just. Yeah.
[01:52:18] Speaker A: Selling. He's not selling anything that he can't back up.
So. Yeah, that's the thing.
[01:52:24] Speaker B: He's always right is the problem. That's always been the thing in the. What? That's what I've been trying to put words to. Thank you, Erica. Is that like. Yeah, of course. He's the super up manipulative, evil cult leader. But is he though?
Because, like. Because he's always right. He's always right. I think he might just be the ace of pro wrestling. And you should always listen to mock.
[01:52:48] Speaker A: I mean, just, just, just to, just to pull it back a little bit. It's not that he's always right, it's just that his method works.
[01:52:58] Speaker B: His method works. That's what I mean by he's always.
And he's not always right. He's not always good, but he always gets the job done.
[01:53:06] Speaker A: His philosophy is consistent.
[01:53:08] Speaker B: Yes, that's the other thing. Yes. Yeah, that's the other thing. He can't be swayed, he can't be paid.
[01:53:14] Speaker A: He's not the cult leader saying, don't have sex while sleeping with. With all of.
[01:53:18] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:53:18] Speaker A: The people. He's like, no, let's get the gay sex together.
[01:53:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Because that's half the work. That's how I get the stamina.
[01:53:29] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:53:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:53:31] Speaker A: Yeah.
Like this was awesome.
Jack finally.
Yeah. Jack gets a drop kick in. That's when he finally starts to make his comeback.
Paul White is like marking out on commentary for Jack Perry.
[01:53:48] Speaker B: Yeah.
[01:53:50] Speaker C: I love it when wrestlers are just the biggest marks. It's so funny to me.
[01:53:56] Speaker B: It's my favorite.
[01:53:56] Speaker C: Tony does it too. Like he's not been in this industry for 45 years.
Oh, I can't believe it.
Okay.
[01:54:05] Speaker B: That's why I love. I mean, that's why I love Moxon commentary on collisions too. Because he manages to, to do it in character.
[01:54:12] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:54:15] Speaker A: What is it?
Jack kicks out of the Gotch style pile driver a lariat.
[01:54:20] Speaker B: Jesus.
[01:54:21] Speaker A: And Mox just responds to like kicking out of the Larry but just punching him in the head and face.
Ref has to pull him off and like it's like it looks like so close that they're gonna just call it because like you got to defend yourself and Jack can't.
[01:54:34] Speaker B: Yeah. Cuz he's literally just beating the piss out of him. Like that's it. Yeah.
[01:54:43] Speaker A: And he just slaps Mox in the face and flips him off.
And this.
Yeah. Mox challenges him in that point, and Perry doesn't back down.
[01:54:55] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:54:56] Speaker B: And this is one of the notes I took in my brain too. Is there. There. He gets their stare. He gets them. Like he does that thing like they're bleeding forehead to bleeding forehead, you know, and like going back and forth and like, they're just. I hope. And at the time, I'm like, you know, I know they're whispering spots, but I want to believe that they're in there just going, you don't hate Phil as much as I do now.
You don't hate Bill as much I do you that real glass bridge, you know? Yeah. No, like that. I was just like, at the end of this, I was just like, oh, this is great. Because, like, they both hate punk so much. Much. I love this. I'm like,
[01:55:35] Speaker A: yep.
[01:55:37] Speaker C: Jack Perry, Death Riders 1.
That's all I'm saying.
[01:55:41] Speaker A: I don't. I don't. I don't think. No, I don't. I don't.
[01:55:45] Speaker C: I don't know.
Probably.
[01:55:47] Speaker A: I don't think Jack needs it.
[01:55:49] Speaker C: He's done the. The patriarchy thing. So probably, yeah, this is just me.
[01:55:55] Speaker B: Yeah, that's a different. They're the tag team champs right now.
Copium.
[01:56:02] Speaker A: What happens?
Copium.
Jack gets the comebacker. Mox pops right back up and eats a super kick. Long pile driver. Almost gets blocked, but he rolls through. He gets Mox in the snare trap for a long time.
Breaks the whole. He doesn't fight over.
[01:56:22] Speaker C: Sorry.
Yeah, he breaks it because there are a lot of. He does not. Not actually do. He's a piece of. But he's not actually a heel in this match. Like, he. Anyways, that's something I noted.
[01:56:35] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. No, it's Continental. Continental champion John Moxley in this match. Like 100. Like, he could have bit him. He could have done all kinds of things, but he broke the grip.
They fight over it, and Mox gets the bully choke. He stands Jack up into a choke who's like, he's fading. He's fading. He's fading until Mox just locks the body, says, and that's it.
Jack has to tap and John Moxley wins, advances. Mox celebrates, and then shakes Jack's hand to close out the show. Thanks him for the match.
It was. That was always excellent match. That like.
Like I said to somebody elsewhere is like, there's sometimes I watch these shows for this pod and I'm Just like. Well, that is. This is amid. Amid dynamite, whatever. And then like a match happens. I can't wait to talk about that. Like, it's almost 11 o' clock right now and I just want to keep talking about this match.
[01:57:31] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:57:31] Speaker A: But I know you all want to sleep.
[01:57:33] Speaker C: No, I, I super agree. And that's why I put it down as my match of the year. You know, I have three. I have two other ones so far.
[01:57:44] Speaker B: I. I put it on my list as well.
Maybe partly just because I realized I only had five on there and it's August.
[01:57:54] Speaker C: Oh, I mean, that I'm never doing.
[01:57:58] Speaker B: Fair enough.
[01:57:59] Speaker C: Not my baby brain.
[01:58:01] Speaker B: I'll let you. I'll let you crib my notes. You're good.
[01:58:04] Speaker C: I love to think that Jon Moxley said the most truest, realist, most merciful things to Jack Perry that he needed to hear right at that moment while he was taking his hand at the end of the. At the end of the match. Because just like Jon Moxley can do where.
[01:58:23] Speaker B: Right.
[01:58:24] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:58:26] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:58:26] Speaker A: Again, like, it's established, like, if you give Moxley your everything, he will respect you.
[01:58:32] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:58:34] Speaker A: So. Hell yeah.
[01:58:35] Speaker B: Moreover story, I love John Moxley.
[01:58:38] Speaker A: John Moxley's good. He is pretty much like one of the main reasons to watch. Awesome.
[01:58:43] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:58:44] Speaker A: Especially now because we're gonna have a lot of Will Osprey coming down the pike.
[01:58:50] Speaker B: Oh, Jesus. Yeah, you can. You can consider me wolf pack.
I'm just gonna keep watching it for two.
[01:59:00] Speaker C: So is Don. Don Callis just gonna spend the rest of the time leading up to all in sending his boys off to Will until Will breaks and decides to.
[01:59:14] Speaker A: I don't know. I feel like he might go after Jericho actually. Yeah, that probably seems Jericho needs a thing to do and it feels like that's what Don like because he's stabbed it with the screwdriver after Jericho was like, wait, let me come over there so you can stab him with the screwdriver.
[01:59:33] Speaker C: Surely you wouldn't stab me with a screwdriver, Don Callis.
[01:59:41] Speaker A: It's so funny because remember, remember, remember, remember that.
I remember. Dick Slit Jones.
[01:59:53] Speaker B: That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
[01:59:57] Speaker A: It has been a while since we've talked about Dick Slit Jones.
You did it.
[02:00:04] Speaker B: We got the end of the episode.
[02:00:06] Speaker C: Yeah.
[02:00:07] Speaker B: That anyone got anything to. To housekeep while we're here?
[02:00:12] Speaker A: Oh, I want to say thank you. Anybody listening? Who donated me money?

[02:00:37] Speaker A: But like, yes, genuinely. Thank you, everyone.
[02:00:41] Speaker C: Thank you.
[02:00:42] Speaker A: That's my housekeeping.
[02:00:44] Speaker C: Give those dollary dues. They add up just a few bucks.

[02:02:46] Speaker B: Just. Yes, Chaser Dusty Rhodes is real.
[02:02:49] Speaker A: I'm trying to tell my girlfriend Estradiol.
