Which was super. They Tarantino Tarantinoed us in a sense because, like, it's like for people like you and I have her, it's just like I would have loved that to have been switched around. [00:18:52] Speaker C: You know, like, because I unfortunately I didn't get to see Rebel wrestle like ever. But like, holy crap. Yeah, holy crap. It was such a great little bit. Such a good bunch of good old bits. [00:19:07] Speaker B: They introduced Persephone as the champion for both tbl, TBS and cmll and like they've been teaming up. And once again, Brit was the surprise guest that helped Persephone win the TBS belt. Baker acknowledges that the next guest did actually break her nose. And she shows up because they're having a trio's match later in the card. And she just very happy to see see everybody. She's like, your nose looks better after I broke it. I used to hate you. Uh, but like in the middle of a match, uh, she got like colors sort of like accidentally, you know, not to, not to expose the business or nothing, but usually that sort of thing is sort of like planned out ahead of time. But this was one where clearly she had gotten. Got busted open the hard way. And it created this sort of moment that really caught on, sort of, sort of legitimized her in the eyes of the fans and yeah, and it's like that was the most that I saw Brit Breaker. I just happened to be watching at that time. I caught like a few more of what she was doing just around that time. So I did not get to see, see much of what she was doing with Rebel. Something that like, I wish I'd gotten more of because there's Some good chemistry here. [00:21:52] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:21:53] Speaker B: Oh yeah. Really. It was. It was like I. It felt like I'm. This trio's match, I think I Seems like they've really swapped out the max banger opener with the new level swerve banger opener, you know, And I'm all. I'm all for it. I'm all for it. This match starts off with Kofi and Orange Cassidy showing off their speed and agility to the delight of the crowd before Kyle and Creed step up and a kick off. And kicked off Kickapalooza. Hell yeah. [00:24:13] Speaker C: I liked all those K words that pleased me. [00:24:16] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:24:23] Speaker C: It goes with cough. Goes with Kofi. That Kofi and Austin have had more matches on TV in the last week and a half than they had a year. And like y', all, you're seeing how they work like. Like after you, you're getting a lot of chance, like chances to see how these guys were. They're really good. [00:24:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:24:59] Speaker C: Yeah. Very good at this. [00:25:02] Speaker B: Seems like, oh, I don't know, perhaps a bag fumble not to have them. Like the opening match for your show every week Interesting. It was quite good. I mean, you have. Yeah, and it's. It's very interestingly balanced as well. Like, they. Everybody can move. You have Roderick strong as like the heavy man and Swerve kind of balancing that out. But like, they. It's. Yeah, it was. It was, it was. And they showed. Everybody showed off excellently. I think it was perfect. [00:25:45] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:25:46] Speaker A: That's one of the things that I really appreciate in AEW is they do a great job of really making sure everybody looks their best out there. Too often, too often you do a sort of match where you're. You're too quick to make one guy look so much more powerful than everybody else. And like, you can do that from time to time with the squash. AEW will do that, bring outside talent. But no, like, especially like this Swerve and this new level this is at. This is a Trios team that has like two former world champions in it. They should be operating at an elite level and it definitely feels like they are. And like Cong. Conglomeration. They look very strong in there as well. [00:26:24] Speaker C: Oh, absolutely. And I. I believe we. Yeah, they every and everyone was doing everything I loved from like, all these people. There was a. There was a bit of. Of orange as a weapon, I believe. [00:26:36] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. So. [00:26:38] Speaker C: Which is always nice. [00:26:40] Speaker B: It felt. It felt balanced. I think, to go to your points, pitch fans like that. That they were like, yeah, these are former Trios team title holders and these are like two excellent wrestler, like an excellent tag team. And Swerve that. And they've melded in quite seamlessly. I mean, I think there's. Kofi and Creed rely on each other obviously, but like, I. There's been a lot of, like, integrating moves that I thought were super great [00:27:14] Speaker C: and they've been getting real creative with it and. And. But also just. Yeah, it's just smooth and like, I know it's temporary. They've talked about how it's temporary because they don't want it to seem like he's, you know, replacing Biggie. [00:27:29] Speaker B: Right. [00:27:30] Speaker C: And yeah, it's. It. It just. Even if it's temporary, it fits so good. Even if we only get it for a little bit, it's. [00:27:42] Speaker B: So make it the best little bit. [00:27:43] Speaker C: Yeah. Like, we. It's so sweet while we have it. And then like, yeah, unleash those two into whatever division you want. Like just. Holy hell. Holy hell. And then beyond that, you know, we've got two great trios teams right there, but you can't build an entire division just around two good teams. So right after this match, we get a nice snapshot at what we've got for the rest of the trio's division right now. [00:28:17] Speaker B: Yeah, we in the. During the match to quickly jump back the. Because Ella brings up the fact that OC is used as a weapon. And one of the matches that are. One of the parts that occurred during the commercial that racked me up was Roddy. They have Creed in the corner and they're up on the ropes and punching his face in. Kyle tags in to get a piece and then Orange tags in to get a piece and it just goes too slow. There's an incredible moment where Swerve and OC with Swerve and OC where oc's had put his hands in his pockets and is taking on the entire trio's team. Like he's like kicking Swerve and he's got Kofi and Creed in a headlock. Swerve is just super disgusted. But at the end, OC ends up hitting Terejas on Swerve and double Harkaranas. And Laurel tagged in and. And Haiyan sent her into Shido with a head scissors. And this comes back later on in the match. But like, she just like, that's cute. I can do it by myself. Friendly fire is avoided when Persephone pulls Thunderosa in a full nelson. And Sheeta goes for a jumping knee, only for Thunderosa to move and is like, no, not today. Not today. Thunder Rosa tags in high end, and it's her turn to get bullied with a sick meteor Meteora from Sheeta. She does those so good. I really like that. And a neck breaker from Britt Baker. It's like, it's. It's. When Rebel rolls out with Brit's glove and Rocky in a cape that reads role model. [00:49:21] Speaker C: Oh, God, it's so good. [00:49:25] Speaker B: And she has the glove that she forgot in the waiting room. The crowd loses its mind. [00:49:31] Speaker C: Jekoff's club with red. [00:49:33] Speaker B: There it is. She rolls down the ring, gives Britt her glove, and within 15 seconds worth of fight high un taps out from the lockjaw. Like, that's all we need to know. I loved the crowd. But thankfully, like they do work together, they're incredibly driven to win this match. So they save each other from table spots. So the way that I broke this down is kind of main spots Trans Pitran. So jump in at any time if you know with what your thoughts here with your. Yeah. Your insights. The Young Bucks basically decide to come out in the ring and beat the ever living shit of these two upskirts. And they are like from the beginning, the. The match looks well in hand by the Young Bucks. Like, I think the best way. Yeah. And that's why I'm just like. I think the best way to call this match is by incredible spots. The Bucks set up a table near the apron and tried to suplex Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight through it. At the same time, Kevin Knight and Kevin and Fletcher block those attempts and bring the Bucks back in the ring with suplexes of their own, which I thought was very cool. Kevin save. Or Kyle saves Kevin from a table spot only to have for both of them to being clobbered by Matt's crossbody Nick and his two Northern Lights suplexes on Kevin trying to get him into the table.
