Show Notes

The holidays are upon us and so is the World's End! Dynamite unleashes their Christmas Eve edition from the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom to wrap up 2025. The Continental Classic is practically a dead heat right now, but one man was able to punch his ticket to the semi-finals as an early gift to himself. Also, Bandido and Ricochet squared off for the Dynamite Diamond Ring, Marina Shafir is the hardest woman on the roster, Gabe Kidd is back, and Hangman and Swerve deliver their response to MJF's surprise from last week. Plus, we digress about minotaur sex again. Sorry.

Let's light the fuse! The fuse is for holiday lights this time, not a stick of dynamite!

[00:00:07] Speaker A: In the beginning, the earth was a dark, formless void. But then God spoke and said, let there be wrestling. And with that, there was Monday. And wrestling happened on Mondays. And God looked upon her works and said, holy shit, that's a lot of racism in video packages. On the second day, God got depressed and lo did she post about it on the DVD VR forums. And with that, there was Tuesday. On the third day, God said, let there be Wednesday. And lo did the people reply unto her. We know what that means. [00:00:56] Speaker B: And welcome back to Wednesday Night Fake Fights. We talk all things aew. Before we get to the show proper, I want to talk about something a little serious here. It's gonna come out a couple days later, but we're recording this on December 25, a very important day, a holy day, A day where we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. The Alpha, the Omega, the most important. Miro the Redeemer. Also known as Recev. That's right. Happy 40th birthday, Miro, wherever you are. I hope you're not taking any pins. [00:01:29] Speaker C: Treating your wife well? [00:01:31] Speaker B: Yeah, I think he's nice to her. They see it. He seems to do it. Yeah, he's a Nero. Is a Christmas birthday. I looked that up. Yeah, he turned 40 today. [00:01:44] Speaker C: Damn, that's a rough looking 40 dude. In my opinion. Like that. [00:01:48] Speaker B: But it is. Today is a rest period, I guess, more than any other. [00:01:53] Speaker C: Oh well, it's Rusev Day. It's Mira the Redeemer Day. Our Lord and Savior, Miro the Redeemer. [00:02:00] Speaker A: Redeemed these nuts, old man. That's what I say to Rusev. [00:02:05] Speaker B: Anyway, it's me. I'm your boy, Jeff the Token Mongers. And we're here for a special Christmas Dynamite on 34th street from the historic Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. City with me as always. I guess not always, because sometimes other people are here. But with me this week are two of my co hosts. [00:02:24] Speaker A: It's Erica Warrens. I'm here. I made it. It's. It's actually December 26th here. It's boxing. Oh, that's true. I am. [00:02:33] Speaker C: It's not you in your future. [00:02:36] Speaker A: It's still Russian day though, so it's true. [00:02:39] Speaker B: Yeah, it's really. Wherever he is, it was the time zone that counts. And he's probably in Orlando right now. [00:02:45] Speaker C: Yeah, this is a pro wrestler. He's probably in Florida. [00:02:49] Speaker B: Yeah, he's fed affiliated, but there's a 90 chance that or like a ranch in Utah. [00:02:54] Speaker C: Oh, that's right. He is Rusev. Once again, Miro the Redeemer. No more. [00:02:59] Speaker B: No, exactly. Yeah. And who are you? [00:03:02] Speaker C: Oh, yeah, I'm just talking. And it's me, Ella Taylor. We have a pronoun. Yeah. We have a format. [00:03:11] Speaker B: If it's a first time here, they gotta know. [00:03:14] Speaker C: Yeah, that's weird. That's weird. Yeah. The. The first time listener being like, not. Yeah, that's just strange to me. It happens. We keep getting new. [00:03:23] Speaker B: It might be somebody in Switzerland. You're in Switzerland? Yeah. Hi. [00:03:27] Speaker C: Also, we have a pretty steady Chilean listener. Or it's a vpn, but I like to. [00:03:35] Speaker B: I like to. [00:03:36] Speaker A: Thank you. [00:03:37] Speaker C: No, don't take it away from me. We have a Chilean listener. Hello. [00:03:41] Speaker B: It's VPN from Brazil, though, so it's still kind of the same area. [00:03:46] Speaker C: Yeah, There you go. [00:03:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:47] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:03:48] Speaker B: Which. [00:03:48] Speaker C: Hola. Spelled a little bit differently from my understanding. I don't know Portuguese, but yeah. Hello, I'm here. I'm here for the Dynamite Times. The 34th Street Times. I'm going to sit on Brian Danielson's lap and pull on his beard to see if it's real. [00:04:07] Speaker B: Oh, like Santa. [00:04:09] Speaker C: Like. Like the movie, you know? Unlike the movie, though, there's a little. There's a level A labelle lock involved here because he's a real dragon. Yeah. [00:04:23] Speaker B: Foley, who always does the Santa. Like. [00:04:26] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:04:28] Speaker C: Mick Foley has like a Santa thing. Yeah. Like, he. He loves Santa and he loves being Santa. It's like, important to him. [00:04:36] Speaker B: Santa is a thing to you. To me, it's not inherently creepy, but there's an air. It's like somebody who's really into. It's almost a Disney adult kind of vibe I get off of it. Like, it's wholesome, it's good. But is there a sinister underbelly? [00:04:54] Speaker A: I think he just has whimsy. [00:04:57] Speaker B: Like, I. I'm sure that's what it is. [00:04:59] Speaker A: This is actually something I chalk up to whimsy. [00:05:03] Speaker B: He loves roller coasters and stuff, but, yeah, it's just. It's more my hang up. But there's inherit. Wholesomeness as like a specific interest. [00:05:11] Speaker C: And strippers. So really, I. Yeah, yeah, no, I'm gonna. I'm gonna chalk it all up to. [00:05:17] Speaker B: Whimsy and unprotected shots from a chair. [00:05:21] Speaker C: Yeah. Because what's more whimsical than those four things? [00:05:24] Speaker B: Whimsy. [00:05:25] Speaker C: Let's run it down. Unprotected. Yeah. Unprotected chair shots to the head. Santa Claus, strippers, and what was the. [00:05:35] Speaker B: R1 being compressed by the rock? [00:05:38] Speaker C: So I guess it's just Three, it's just ct. That's the concussion. Twice it might be three, it might have been four. [00:05:43] Speaker A: There's a fine line between CT and whimsy. [00:05:47] Speaker C: Whimsy. [00:05:47] Speaker B: Yeah. I just wanted to say whimsically. [00:05:49] Speaker C: Yeah, it's just whimsy. That being said, Disney adults, you're on thin ice. [00:05:58] Speaker B: Yeah. We start the show off. We got a lot of Continental Classic stuff coming up. These are the last two shows before Worlds End on Saturday. This show tonight and then Collision tomorrow where they're setting the semifinals and the finals that will be on the Pay Per View. So the first match we have tonight is Konosuke Takeshita versus Orange Cassidy in a Blue League match. And these two are cool together. [00:06:21] Speaker C: God, Orange Cassidy is so good. Like it's not a. Like it really isn't just the clever gimmick. Like he's so good. [00:06:30] Speaker B: It's all carried by such solid like and the way he blends it. Like even this match starting off, takes off the sunglasses and he throws them at Takeshita and they soft to catch this chest, you know. Like, is he just doing the Orange Cassie mind games and catcher goes down, grabs the sunglasses and Orange Cassidy rolls him up into a pin. That's a near fall right off the bat. [00:06:50] Speaker C: Oh, it was so good. I was like, yeah, no, he's like not around. He wants you to think he's around. He's not around. He wants that weed. Just crazy, crazy. This whole match ruled and just reiterates to me that like him and like Mark Briscoe are like two of the best wrestlers that are just consistently on tv. [00:07:12] Speaker B: I feel like the real fella. [00:07:15] Speaker C: Yeah, like they're the workhorses. [00:07:17] Speaker B: They're more polished than Sammy Guevara are. [00:07:20] Speaker C: Yeah. Oh God. The same Guevara is still doing in Ring of Honor. [00:07:24] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, yeah. [00:07:28] Speaker A: He's an in gobernable. [00:07:30] Speaker B: Yeah. I think he won the titles with Mordos maybe. [00:07:34] Speaker C: Oh, isn't the whole thing that he can't actually speak Spanish though? And that's like he keeps. [00:07:38] Speaker B: And that is a funny gimmick. [00:07:40] Speaker C: Yes, very funny. [00:07:41] Speaker B: And at least he's a heel, which I have always said Sammy Gavara works as a heel. Just stop trying to get him over as a white meat baby. [00:07:49] Speaker C: Well, yeah, because he oozes piece of. Yeah, like you could just. He reeks of. I'm a piece of. So like. [00:07:59] Speaker A: But then he's also. Isn't he? He's like what, 25? [00:08:04] Speaker B: Yeah, something like that. [00:08:05] Speaker A: Pretty young 25 year old dudes are just like that. [00:08:08] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. They gotta get the life beat out of him. [00:08:11] Speaker B: It's like he does. There is a really appeal this. Like, I can back up why I'm a cocky, but I can back it up by doing incredible stuff. And Sammy can do that. He does huge, poppable nutso spots that are amazing, but he just uses unlikability so much that he doesn't work. He's the anti Jack Perry. Like, Jack Perry is just such an actual likable dude that he can't really work as a heel. And Sammy's such a natural. He can't work as a face. [00:08:40] Speaker C: One of these nights, I need Jon Moxley to just brutally beat the bloody, bloody pulp out of Sammy Guevara in the middle of the ring to the point where it's, like, almost a little uncomfortable, you know? And then he just, like, calls for the mic. Like, he does. He walks around a little bit, and he just, like, looks right at the camera and says, I just wanted to destroy something beautiful, you know? And then. [00:09:07] Speaker B: He stops cribbing from rapping, starts cribbing from fight. He's already kind of cribbing from Fight Club, I guess a little bit like. [00:09:15] Speaker A: Yeah, I guess it is a little bit of a Fight Club gimmick Claudio. [00:09:19] Speaker B: Gets from having his testicles removed. His name is Claudio Castoli. His name was Claudio Castagnoli. [00:09:31] Speaker C: Oh, I appreciate all. Let me. Letting me get that off my chest, because otherwise it was going to fester in my brain. [00:09:38] Speaker B: No, I was ranting about Sammy Guevara for too long on a show he's not on to. [00:09:42] Speaker C: Yeah. So I was like, you know what? We got to wrap this up with some sort of reference to Fight Club, I guess. [00:09:50] Speaker A: Sure, sure. I mean, why not? It's better than American Horror Story, I guess. [00:10:00] Speaker B: My name is George C. Scott. I was in Fight Club. See me, I got paid scale as a background actor. [00:10:10] Speaker A: No, sir. [00:10:11] Speaker C: No, you were not. [00:10:13] Speaker A: He was dead. I'm pretty sure he died in, like, 98. [00:10:16] Speaker B: That's why they didn't have to pay him. [00:10:18] Speaker A: I know too much about George Scott thanks to that stupid bit. [00:10:23] Speaker B: That's the one thing I want people to take away from this podcast is increased knowledge of George C. Scott. [00:10:28] Speaker A: Where George C. Scott wrestling podcast. [00:10:31] Speaker B: George C. Scott and Minotaur sex. Put it on the business cards and get them thrown away immediately. [00:10:38] Speaker C: Y' all keep going back to the Minotaur section and, like, I swear to God, I must have, like. [00:10:43] Speaker B: Like, you don't remember. [00:10:47] Speaker C: Very little. [00:10:48] Speaker B: It's only, like, an episode or two, and it just kind of had. It's like, 10 minutes. That's what's so weird about it. [00:10:56] Speaker C: That's a lot. That's a lot of podcasting to talk about minotaur sex. [00:11:02] Speaker B: Because the minotaur was a slave that Kathy Bates sewed a bull's head onto his torch. [00:11:08] Speaker C: I remember. I remember. No, I rem. I remember that. I don't remember you talking about it so much. [00:11:18] Speaker B: I've been talking about for a while. [00:11:20] Speaker C: For, like, three weeks, and I'm like, why? Like, was it really that big of a deal? I get a callback, but. [00:11:32] Speaker B: Jesus Christ. Trademark, man. [00:11:35] Speaker C: Yeah. Trademark. Yeah. [00:11:38] Speaker A: Minotaur sex. Thank you. [00:11:39] Speaker B: We've literally been doing George C. Scott for six months straight. [00:11:46] Speaker A: Like a minotaur. [00:11:48] Speaker B: God, I'll never wear out my welcome. [00:11:51] Speaker C: Ow. My huge dong. [00:11:57] Speaker B: But, yeah, this is a really good match. [00:11:59] Speaker A: Yes. Wasn't there. [00:12:01] Speaker B: Yeah, he's always hitting them satellite ddts. [00:12:04] Speaker C: Classic happening. [00:12:05] Speaker B: Yeah, that's what the thing about the minotaur sex is. It wasn't even that, like, it was just such a diversion into such a weird corridor that made it so. [00:12:19] Speaker A: It is a weird. [00:12:23] Speaker C: This is too bad. I'm leaving the podcast. I quit this stupid. Jesus Christ. [00:12:33] Speaker B: We're talking about Mercedes Monet. No, we. [00:12:37] Speaker C: That's not even where we were. What? [00:12:39] Speaker A: No, we're not. We're still in the first match. Do I need to drive? Are you good? [00:12:44] Speaker B: Someone. [00:12:45] Speaker C: Someone needs to drive. [00:12:49] Speaker B: I got control. [00:12:51] Speaker A: Okay. [00:12:51] Speaker B: I did like Orange Cassidy. It's our control. [00:12:56] Speaker C: Trust the Plan Patriots. I'm so sad. Somebody drives. [00:13:02] Speaker B: It's not all me. I'm trying to keep this going. [00:13:05] Speaker A: I know, I know, I know. [00:13:08] Speaker C: This is. [00:13:10] Speaker B: There's only so much you can do with a train that's bouncing on the rails. [00:13:17] Speaker C: Oh, no. [00:13:19] Speaker B: There was a theme throughout this, though. Orange Cassidy trying to do his, like, tricks in his bits and stuff and, like, it working a little bit, but then kind of just hitting the brick wall of gosh. [00:13:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:31] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:13:31] Speaker A: It kind of worked out the way Orange's match against Claudio did, where it's like he's, like, just there. He's just, like, that close to actually getting the win. But the guy he's wrestling is too strong. [00:13:48] Speaker B: Exactly. Which is a fun matchup. [00:13:50] Speaker C: There was a few real close ones, too. Like, he, like, doing his pinning combination. [00:13:55] Speaker B: I was gonna say they really highlighted, like, his technique, like pulling those snap pinfalls out of nowhere. They really let you bite on, because particularly this tournament's had a lot of surprise matches. And that way, with Just like flash pins. [00:14:09] Speaker A: I would not have been surprised if Orange Cassidy had won this match. [00:14:14] Speaker B: But no, that's the nice thing about this tournament is it makes it feel. I. I imagined. We all think to get. Obviously the story line is leading to an Okada doing in the finals in some way. But, like, it's this whole. I've been surprised so much throughout this tournament. Anything does seem possible. Here's the. [00:14:32] Speaker C: Because that's the thing. We keep saying that, like, it's a inevitability. [00:14:36] Speaker B: I know, but that's. Yeah, your mind goes. It's. [00:14:38] Speaker A: It has to be. What. What have they been doing? [00:14:41] Speaker B: Because they've been building stories. [00:14:43] Speaker C: It has to be. But all but. But also, there's, like, ties in both. [00:14:47] Speaker B: Leagues because after this, the next pay per view isn't until, like, Ape is like, four months away. It's. This is the biggest gap in pay per view time. AEW's calendar. There's only. There's some, like. Yeah, Revolution is until, like, end of March, I don't think. [00:15:02] Speaker C: What about Wrestle Dream? [00:15:04] Speaker A: What? [00:15:04] Speaker B: The dream just happened. [00:15:06] Speaker C: Oh, God damn it. [00:15:08] Speaker B: Yeah, that was like, Wrestle Dream, then World's End, then. Wait, this is where I was at. Yeah, Wrestle Dream was like the last one, wasn't it? [00:15:14] Speaker C: Some reason I thought it. Okay. Oh, God. All right, well, now I'm like, all right, kid, keep driving. I'm gonna be doing some research. [00:15:21] Speaker A: Full Gear was the last one. [00:15:22] Speaker B: Well, yeah, it was Wrestle Dream, then Full Gear, and now World's End, and then Revolution's gonna be in Los Angeles in like. Yeah. In March. This is the biggest. Unless they're going to stretch out. Okay. Or do it on a TV like a. Named Dynamite. [00:15:38] Speaker A: I mean, they might do it on tv, too. [00:15:40] Speaker C: You're right. Rep. Oh, my God. [00:15:42] Speaker B: March. [00:15:42] Speaker C: Well, they have. They have two named. Named Weeks of Dynamite and Collision. [00:15:48] Speaker B: I really feel Okada and Takesha. You got to do that on a pay per view. [00:15:51] Speaker A: It's got to be a pay per view. [00:15:53] Speaker B: Yeah. It's just been. For a feud that's been built this long, like, it's gotta happen, and that's a selling match. [00:16:00] Speaker A: I also wonder if they're gonna be like, all right, guys, you both have to be at Wrestle Kingdom in like, five days from now. [00:16:08] Speaker B: Now maybe. Save it down. They're gonna run it on New Year's Dash. That'll be the. The secondary show. [00:16:18] Speaker A: If they put it on New Year's Dash, I'm gonna be pissed. [00:16:21] Speaker B: They would. They would not do that. [00:16:23] Speaker C: What about Maximum Carnage? [00:16:25] Speaker B: I will go Sell that one. [00:16:28] Speaker C: The. The. [00:16:29] Speaker B: The. [00:16:30] Speaker C: The name. The show named for two Venom movies ago that they just held on to, which is kind of sick, actually. [00:16:38] Speaker B: Yeah, it's a cool. It is a cool name. [00:16:40] Speaker C: Well, it's like when they're like, winter is coming. I'm like, really? [00:16:43] Speaker B: But what was the. What was the Aw show they did after Wrestle Dream this or after Wrestle Kingdom this last year that they're not doing? The one that had Ricochet. [00:16:51] Speaker A: Oh, Wrestle Dynasty. Yeah. There's no Russell Dynasty. [00:16:54] Speaker B: Was they. If. If they were doing Wrestle Dynasty, it would be a perfect match for that show as, like, the main event or something. But since they're not. It's gotta happen, in my opinion. [00:17:05] Speaker A: Yeah, it's. It has to happen. Like, I. I don't know how, but that's. [00:17:10] Speaker B: Again, though, they've done a great job of making this tournament still feel up in the air. Like, we'll get to it later. But the Gold League is. Everybody is tied at the same amount of points in the Gold League. That's crazy. I've never seen that in, like, around. [00:17:23] Speaker C: There keeps being, like, spoilers, too. Like, there keeps being. We'll get to it. There's another match later that's like, I. That. That I didn't. That I wouldn't have called that to save my life. [00:17:34] Speaker B: No. Anyways, like, a good spot here too, where Takeshita gets. Goes for the raging fire off the, like, turnbuckles and Orange Cassidy turns into the Thunder Millionaire. That was. [00:17:45] Speaker A: That was crazy. [00:17:48] Speaker B: Orange Cassidy, I love. And Orange Cassie does it like a couple other people. The suicide dive that you catch and then turn into a ddt. They're like. [00:17:59] Speaker C: This one. Was that really pretty, though? [00:18:03] Speaker B: Yeah. No, it was clean. [00:18:04] Speaker C: Flawlessly clean. Like, that was nuts. [00:18:07] Speaker A: He. He like ddt. Takeshita, like a dozen times in this match, it felt like. [00:18:14] Speaker C: Yeah. In various different ways. Yeah. At least half dozen, tops. Yeah, at least half dozen. At least. I should think, say always. [00:18:20] Speaker B: He always hits it so perfectly, Especially at some point it gets his mouth bloodied too. I can't. They said in commentary maybe from a kick or something, but yeah, he's got the. The lipstick teeth going. After a little while. Cassidy. Orange. Cassidy hits a good amount of orange punches, too. Like, he catches a near fall off one. Does the big, like, beach break spot in the apron too, which was nice. [00:18:42] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah, yeah. If he finally got that beach break. It's been a while since we got that off because of his back. Well done. Well done. [00:18:49] Speaker B: Yeah. And they even did a really good spot where Orange Cassidy, like, orange punched Takeshita over the guardrail and then ran back in to try and catch the. Near the count out victory and got that. It was super close, which is, like, one of my favorite things. I love a good near count out spot. [00:19:07] Speaker A: Yeah, they've been getting really good at that for this tournament. It's got. It's gotta happen at some point where, like, somebody gets Canada out. [00:19:15] Speaker B: Wasn't that how. No, no, that was. I was thinking Roderick and Moxley in that singles match, but that was a double. They, like, got a double count out on. That was something like that. Yeah, yeah. You see, like, New Japan does, like, near count out spots a lot. And, like, it's so. I love when you get like, that down to 19 seconds and, like, just barely make it in. [00:19:36] Speaker A: I know the. The. They have always said that, like, part of booking that type of stuff is it has to happen at least once so that it's in the back of the people's minds that, like, oh, yeah, this actually could end the match. As opposed to the guy gets in at 19 every time. [00:19:52] Speaker B: No, without a doubt. They go for near count out orange casting some more rolling pin attempts. And then, like, this little finishing stretch I thought was really good Orange. Cassie goes for the orange punch and Takesha catches it and turns it into the Raging fire. That Orange counters and to roll up. But then Takeshita just straight muscles him out of the roll up and hits the or. Or hits the raging fire for the wing. It was just looked incredibly sick. [00:20:17] Speaker A: So cool. He's so beautiful. [00:20:19] Speaker C: There was a lot of that. There was a lot of Orange being tricky and doing, like, wild reversals and then trying to do it again. And Takeshita being like, no, no, no. Wheelbarrow German. You're not doing it again. I drop you on head, you dumbass. Like, with your stupid hands in your stupid pockets. Fuck you. [00:20:45] Speaker A: Orange was like, a little vicious in this too, because he did that pk. [00:20:49] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:20:50] Speaker A: Kick and, like, stank on it, I think. I think that was when Teshta got his mouth busted open because, like, I think he did get caught. [00:20:57] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. [00:20:58] Speaker A: Y. Because they. They, like, zoomed out immediately and they were just kind of like, are you okay, man? [00:21:04] Speaker B: No. Great match, though. I thought it was very. I fun clash of styles kind of thing. And was the right call. [00:21:12] Speaker C: Yeah, it's the kind of thing I couldn't. I couldn't even. I couldn't even be upset that. That he lost. Like, I was like, well, of course he's gonna, like, there's no way he's gonna be. Beat him here. That's not his role here. [00:21:25] Speaker B: And we've said that before. The. It's. The C2 is just so consistent. Like it's so nice just having like guaranteed like 15 to 20 minute awesome matches throughout the shows. Like it's always gonna be good. Pretty much. [00:21:36] Speaker C: Now this is the best one yet. Like this is absolutely the best C2 yet. [00:21:41] Speaker B: Yeah. And that's a. It's a high bar. Like they start it's going up from good, which is always a solid thing. Speaking of going up from good, we go backstage with one Gabe Kid who is hanging out by some stairs. These people all love stairs. Their thing apparently. I guess it happened. He talks about throwing Darby down the stairs. Like, I guess that was because he helped. [00:22:05] Speaker C: He helped the Death Riders, I think when they. [00:22:07] Speaker B: Yeah, I just don't remember that being a spot that particularly like has stuck out in my map. Because he also mentions like the getting dragged in the body bag and the table on fire and all that. Like I remember that, but I don't particularly remember him. Darby takes so many crazy bumps that like getting thrown down some stairs is not that impressive to me. [00:22:26] Speaker C: I think it's memorable because he was injured after the fact, like he's out. Oh, after they did the spot. Yeah. [00:22:33] Speaker A: Yeah. Like I, I didn't real realized that it had been. It was. I forgot that it was Kid who threw him down the stairs. Like I remember the stair spot, but I forgot that it was Gabe. [00:22:43] Speaker B: Yeah, I don't recover that all. I kind of remember Gabe Kid would like being periphery to everything like with the table and stuff like that. [00:22:50] Speaker A: I don't. I don't know how much they actually can use Gabe Kid in AEW right now. [00:22:55] Speaker B: Yeah, he's in a. A weird spot because he's in the. What is it? The Bullet club, war dogs, 10 man match, wrestle Kingdom. Right. With the unaffiliated. [00:23:07] Speaker A: The unaffiliated, yeah. [00:23:10] Speaker B: It's an interesting situation. [00:23:11] Speaker A: They don't even have a name for them anymore. They're just the unaffiliated. [00:23:15] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:16] Speaker B: Just taking a guy hanging out with people. [00:23:21] Speaker C: Yeah. [00:23:21] Speaker B: So they're set up. This is setting up their chat dar or Gabe throws out a challenge for Darby at Worlds. So they're probably throwing guard. Pretty much get confirmed later on. Okay. You gotta. It's a pay per view, so you have to have a Darby match on it. That's the rule. [00:23:37] Speaker C: Must we? Must we really? [00:23:39] Speaker B: If he's healthy, he gets a featured spot every time I yawn in derision. [00:23:48] Speaker C: Was so close. He came back under the wire like, damn it. [00:23:51] Speaker B: He climbed Everest. God damn it. He did it for. Aw. [00:23:57] Speaker C: And I will never forgive that mountain for. For slacking this time. All right. [00:24:04] Speaker B: Jesus Christ. We jumped to another video package about the Bang Bang Gang and their feud with fdr. Truth Robinson cutting a promo, talking about the match they had in Manchester, where it was kind of like, not dubious. I mean, enough of a doubt of it that Juice is demanding a rematch. Like, I think it was Dax got his foot on the rope, which is a perfectly legitimate way to get out of the pin. I don't know why that's just like a point of. Well, the. [00:24:34] Speaker A: The objection. The objection was that they had their number. He got lucky on the pinfall, and they won basically because of, like, all the chaos. Yeah. Like, immediately afterwards, like, they didn't actually beat that. They took advantage of the situation, which. [00:24:55] Speaker B: You would do the same thing. Juice rabbits. [00:24:58] Speaker A: Yeah. Juice Robinson would do the same thing. [00:25:01] Speaker B: Colton Gunn, definitely. Or Austin. Whichever gun it is, it's Austin. [00:25:06] Speaker A: Austin's also is the living gun. [00:25:07] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Cole and I always think he's like a bit the taller, skinnier one, so he's like a horse. Oh, yeah. [00:25:17] Speaker A: Okay, I got it. [00:25:18] Speaker B: Yeah. Colton. Yeah, I'm pretty sure in Three Ninjas, one of the kids names, and he had something to do with. [00:25:26] Speaker A: Yeah, and Tum Tum. I forget the other guy. [00:25:29] Speaker B: The other one that had no character was the only one that mattered. [00:25:33] Speaker A: Tum Tum's body count is through the roof. He's killed so many people. [00:25:37] Speaker B: Sometime was the funniest one. He was the hungriest one. I mean, he was the star of. [00:25:42] Speaker A: Those shows and he was the most murderous. He killed like. [00:25:45] Speaker B: Oh, yeah, he. With people. [00:25:47] Speaker A: Watch that High Noon at Mega Mountain. He killed like a dozen guys. [00:25:52] Speaker C: Oh, we. Are we talking about Tum Tum's body count? Yeah, yeah. Where were we in regards to the actual wrestling? [00:25:59] Speaker B: They're going to do a Chicago street fight at World's End between FDR and the Batman. [00:26:05] Speaker A: Sure, why not? It. Yeah, it was a good match last week, so. [00:26:09] Speaker B: Yeah, no, they have good chemistry. Where else would you have a Chicago street fight in Chicago? In Philly, where you big dumb or whatever. [00:26:23] Speaker A: Where's the. Where's the Philly street fight at In Philly, Big Dumb. [00:26:34] Speaker C: I love pro wrestling, so. Goddamn. [00:26:39] Speaker B: We miss you, Brian Cage, you big dumb, wherever you are technically still in the Don Callis family. [00:26:46] Speaker C: Yeah. Big dumb Don Callis. [00:26:49] Speaker B: Yeah, I think, like, Don Callis rags on him on Twitter all The time now. Like, he always rags on everybody on there, but like, I've seen him go off on him a few times. Yeah, I pro Brian Cage, though. I think he's a good wrestler. [00:27:04] Speaker A: He's fine. [00:27:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:27:06] Speaker C: I think people should be allowed to take steroids if they want. [00:27:09] Speaker B: Yeah, Yeah. [00:27:11] Speaker C: I love this for him. [00:27:12] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:27:12] Speaker A: As long as you don't like get really insane about it, then yeah, sure. [00:27:17] Speaker B: I'm pretty sure he's natty. [00:27:18] Speaker A: I'm. I'm on the, the side of the people who say, like, let professional athletes take all the steroids. Let them become freaks and monsters for entertainment. [00:27:29] Speaker B: I just want bionic implants to start. [00:27:31] Speaker C: I inject hormones. I think Brian Cage should also be allowed to inject hormones. Just because they're not cross sex doesn't mean he shouldn't still be allowed to do it. [00:27:43] Speaker B: If he wants to turn himself into a swolverine, that's fine. Yeah, he calls himself that sometimes because he dresses like Wolverine. He loves being Wolverine. [00:27:55] Speaker C: Mostly I just love him because he's one of the only people I know who still does the jackhammer occasionally. [00:28:00] Speaker B: Yeah, he hits a good too. It's always smooth. [00:28:03] Speaker C: He hits a smooth jackhammer and I, I missed that as a finisher. I was having that thought a couple weeks ago. I was like, why the are people bringing back the jackhammer? That. [00:28:12] Speaker B: Yeah, nobody does that anymore. [00:28:14] Speaker C: It's really unfortunate. It was a great, great transition. [00:28:19] Speaker B: There's so much Goldberg stink on everything. Like, he has just lost so much cachet that I think even like moves associated with him now. It's kind of like, well, like, do you think everyone that's almost killed the Undertaker in Saudi Arabia too bad. Hey, hey, hey, hey. [00:28:36] Speaker C: I already like Goldberg. You don't have to butter him up. Okay. [00:28:40] Speaker B: I was watching clips of that match. It was so bad. [00:28:43] Speaker C: It was real bad. Neither of those guys should have been wrestling. No, like, that was so very terrible. [00:28:52] Speaker B: That and the. The Brothers of Destruction vs. DX Kane & Undertaker vs. Hunter & Shawn Michaels with bald headed Shawn Michaels with his shaved head. Like, that is not Sean Michaels. That. [00:29:06] Speaker C: Was rough. That it was rough. I watched it because I felt like I had to because I'm a completionist. But that was really. [00:29:16] Speaker B: Very bad. That was back when I was still regularly watching, like AEW hadn't started. I was still watching WWE because it was like the only me, you know, real wrestling. [00:29:26] Speaker C: Product out. But yeah, I was horrible not watching wrestling. [00:29:30] Speaker B: At all. I was watching like New Japan and Ring of Iron stuff too, but that was the only. That was, like. That was the only weekly show I caught was WWE and NXT ruled back then. Yeah. Basically, the match we're starting now is the exact same as those matches. It complete silver quality level. You can tell because it's Robert Strong and Mescar Dorada. I'm kidding. This match rules. No, this is the polar opposite of. [00:30:04] Speaker A: Those matches. Match is better than the Undertaker versus. [00:30:07] Speaker C: Goldberg. Yeah. And he's wearing heart foundation pink, which. [00:30:13] Speaker B: Was pretty. Yeah. Yeah. This is another very good, like, clash of styles match. That's. Dorado's been a lot of fun in this tournament because he gets to let all these guys really, like, do their showing out against. [00:30:25] Speaker A: Lucha stuff. Yeah. And he's. He's been. Dorada himself is good. [00:30:31] Speaker B: Really good. Yeah, he's a fantastic little fellow. Flies like. [00:30:34] Speaker A: An angel. And he's. He's young. [00:30:37] Speaker B: He's only. Yeah, he's like 23 or 24 or something like that. [00:30:41] Speaker A: 24, yeah. He's. [00:30:43] Speaker C: A babies. The one spot that really stuck out for me in this match that I remember because, again, I refuse to take notes because I'm a terrible, awful, unprofessional, is at one point, he gets, like. It's almost like a blue thunderbomb onto the. [00:30:59] Speaker B: Apron. [00:31:00] Speaker C: Like. Yeah. You know what I mean? [00:31:02] Speaker B: Like, how. Well, it was a really smart spot because Roddy, like, makes Dorada ch him. Like, Roddy's kind of playing with him and runs out, runs to the outside, and when Dota chases him down, he catches him and spins. It's almost like a blue thunderbomb onto. [00:31:14] Speaker C: The apron. Yeah, yeah. That's why I just said. Yeah. It's like he. Yeah, he, like, picks him up for, like, gets him the little thing, and it's like, oh, is he gonna do, like, a little suplex? Delaney spins him into a power bomb, gets the apron. I was like, oh, Jesus. Let's. Let's do. Do. [00:31:30] Speaker B: That again. [00:31:32] Speaker C: That was. That. [00:31:32] Speaker A: Was hot. Roddy being the. The smart Wiley veteran is a good spot. [00:31:38] Speaker C: For. [00:31:38] Speaker A: Him. Yes. And, yeah, I do just. I do just love that Dorada matches basically go the way of. He does a bunch of cool stuff until somebody gets a hold of him, and then they just throw them around for five. [00:31:51] Speaker B: Minutes straight. And Rowdy is, like, the best dude in the company at throwing. Him and Claudio are like, the best two people at throwing people in the company. Like, if you want somebody tossed, go with. [00:32:01] Speaker C: Those guys. Yeah, now you mention it. I was gonna say Claudio is certainly. [00:32:06] Speaker B: Number one. No. Yeah. Nobody. Sure it was, dudes. Like Claudio. Yeah. Because he's not a human being. He is a. [00:32:13] Speaker A: Cartoon character. [00:32:14] Speaker C: He's Swiss. Yeah, you, like, you can't. If you told me that he could do the Darby Allen, ecw, thrown almost into the crowd spot with, like, Mark Henry, I'd. [00:32:28] Speaker A: Believe. [00:32:28] Speaker C: You. Right? Like, Like, I would just. I would just believe you. I believe you would make. [00:32:33] Speaker B: It look. I mean, he. He picked up a big show and tossed him over the top rope back in WWE in the Andre the Giant Memorial. [00:32:42] Speaker C: Battle Royal. That's gross. No. [00:32:48] Speaker B: One should. That's when that battle royale actually mattered. That was like, the only time was when Claudio did that, and we're like, oh, okay, cool. Then after that, they gave it to, like. [00:32:57] Speaker C: Mojo Rally. Yeah, yeah. It went back to. [00:33:00] Speaker B: To just. Remember the girl a. [00:33:06] Speaker C: Long time. Anyways, can we go back to talking about. [00:33:10] Speaker B: Good wrestling? I did like. You were still at Dorado. Yeah, okay, Now I remember. Really cool spot. I like Israda does the. Through the turnbuckle leap into an arm drag. He did the El Generico spot, which is always insane. Look, the threading the needle kind. [00:33:32] Speaker C: Of thing. The threading the needle. Sammy doesn't do a ddt and he didn't do an arm dragon. I was. [00:33:37] Speaker B: Into it. So good. Yeah, Roy just. And Roddy has control of a lot of this. He does some where he's just tossing Dorada. It's like back first into the top rope and then hits him with the big knee. Does that cool, like, front slam thing he does where he, like, just drops them right on. [00:33:52] Speaker A: Their face. Yeah, the. That torture rack into, like, him just throwing the guy into the turnbuckle is just. [00:34:02] Speaker B: Like, holy. Oh, hit the music. Maybe not the Chris. [00:34:22] Speaker C: Benoit music. Oh. [00:34:24] Speaker A: My God. I am at work. I just saw y' all were. We're doing a pod and. [00:34:32] Speaker B: I wanted to do a little run in. [00:34:34] Speaker A: And wish. Wish all y' all and everybody listening a. [00:34:37] Speaker B: Happy holidays. Happy Rusev. [00:34:41] Speaker A: Day. Yeah. Happy Rusev day. [00:34:43] Speaker B: To. [00:34:43] Speaker C: Everybody. Yeah. We are fact celebrating the birth of our. [00:34:48] Speaker B: Redeemer, Miro. Yeah. Years old today. The birth of. [00:34:53] Speaker C: Our redeemed. That's a hard 40. Yeah. Recently, I recently saw him in a film with Kevin James called Guns up, where he plays a guy named Henry or Harry. [00:35:08] Speaker B: The Hammer. The Bullet Club. [00:35:09] Speaker C: Gold story. Yes. Yes. And sure enough, I didn't see her. Oh. [00:35:19] Speaker A: Go ahead. That. [00:35:22] Speaker B: Sounds awful. It was. [00:35:24] Speaker A: Actually quite. Let's wait, wait. What's Piper got to say? That. [00:35:31] Speaker C: Sounds awful. Yes. I mean. [00:35:34] Speaker B: He wasn't. [00:35:35] Speaker C: He was. He was like, probably one of. [00:35:36] Speaker A: The worst. Yes. We spent like 20 minutes time that Minotaur sex. [00:35:40] Speaker C: Again so. [00:35:42] Speaker B: Oh yeah. So it's a regular episode. [00:35:44] Speaker A: Then. Yeah. Yeah. All right. Well I just had a quick second. Wanted to pop in and. [00:35:51] Speaker B: Say hi. It was a. [00:35:52] Speaker A: Wonderful. [00:35:52] Speaker B: Surprise. Yeah. It was a Christmas miracle. It's a Christmas miracle. I found. [00:35:57] Speaker C: A second. God's bless us. [00:36:01] Speaker B: Every John. Okay. Down through the chimney. Hey Piper. I. [00:36:10] Speaker A: Don'T know. All right. And on that note, I'll see you all. [00:36:15] Speaker B: Around. Yeah. Have a. [00:36:17] Speaker C: Good show. [00:36:17] Speaker B: Enjoy capitalism. Make. [00:36:19] Speaker A: The money. Actionable threats. [00:36:28] Speaker C: Oh man. I don't know where you work. Your boss. I should have. [00:36:32] Speaker A: Just gone. Oh well I I. I was gonna say I liked Roddy. Just like throwing the guy into the turnbuckle from a torture act position like that was just. [00:36:42] Speaker C: Like dude. Well I like that he kept trying to like he kept trying to break his back and he like couldn't get a back breaker. And finally just like I'm going to throw you back first against. [00:36:52] Speaker B: Something as hard as like he doesn't up. Roddy goes for the end of heartbreak and Dorada gets him down kind of super kicks him on the side of the face and goes up and hits the shooting star press for the surprise win. In my opinion. Like I really thought Roddy was going to take this since he has not won a single match. [00:37:11] Speaker C: All tournament. Yeah. No. He. He struck out the whole like Roddy goose eggs. That's kind. [00:37:17] Speaker B: Of weird. 000. Part of me thinks it's gonna lead to maybe a split with him and Kylo Reilly when Kyle comes back. Roddy turning heel. Like it his whole like. [00:37:28] Speaker A: I mean I think it probably does him a lot of favors honestly. Like as far as being a baby. [00:37:34] Speaker B: Face goes. Yeah. But I just see it being like that story where he's like frustrated that he can't get he's looking for. He's like oh it's because I hang out with these weird like. [00:37:42] Speaker C: One of them literally beat. [00:37:43] Speaker B: Me. Yeah. Yeah. Both of them is. Or is orange in the other league. I can't. [00:37:49] Speaker A: Keep tracking. [00:37:50] Speaker C: Orange is. No both of them. I was gonna say. Wait. That's right. Dorada is. They mentioned it in the match. [00:37:55] Speaker B: Conglomeration. [00:37:56] Speaker C: Adjacent. [00:37:57] Speaker B: Civilian. Yeah. To the great race. That. [00:38:01] Speaker C: Is fantastic. I don't. [00:38:03] Speaker B: Want that's. You. [00:38:03] Speaker C: Know what? That's a shirt. That's a shirt that is writing. [00:38:07] Speaker B: That down. I'll try to figure out what the acronym for it is. Conglomeration adjacent. [00:38:13] Speaker C: Cas. Casdub. Hey hey. You worry about. You do what you do. So, well, you drive this car, Jeff. I'll make the merch while doing the podcast. Well, thing that I do so. [00:38:26] Speaker B: Well. Okay. I did. Like, they did a little segment after this where they run down. They did the Sports Illustrated, their pro wrestling awards this year, and aw did largely sweep it. Like. [00:38:41] Speaker C: There was. Yeah, they won Promoter Promotion of the Year. And I was like, I don't know, maybe I'm. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I feel like that's kind of a. [00:38:49] Speaker B: Big deal. Yeah. I don't know how much like, weight Sports Illustrated Wrestling Awards, Carrie. I don't really know if I can read. [00:38:57] Speaker A: Sports Illustrated. Like, I. I appreciate when they. They, like, win stuff like that and they talk about it and just brag it up like they got a banner for Promotion of the Year the first time they. [00:39:11] Speaker B: Won it. Yeah. And they do it like they got men as wrestler of the world. Year was Hangman. Women's was Mercedes. Up and comer was Kyle Fletcher. Best person on the mic was Tony. Best person in ring was Ospreay. Like, I know there was. I said I saw the results and there were like a couple WWE ones, but it was like 80, 80W. But, yeah, it's a good little way to up themselves. I like it. They jump over to Renee on the ramp where she calls down Chris Statlander and Jamie Hayter. And I am always reminded how good a song the Hater Rave is. Like, every time she comes out, I'm just like, oh, yeah, this is. [00:39:48] Speaker C: A jam. Have it on a playlist to listen to at work for a reason. [00:39:58] Speaker A: Hell yeah. But she's still a mod, so it's. It's weird. Yeah. Disconnects from how she dresses in. [00:40:07] Speaker B: The music. It is. And it's because both work. Like, the music's great and I love the 70s looks, but yeah, there's not. You expect her to come out to, like, jangly guitar, like the Kinks. [00:40:18] Speaker A: Or. [00:40:18] Speaker C: Something. Yeah. That's why I made wa noises, though. That was my brain making. [00:40:24] Speaker B: A joke. Village Green Society. Village Green Preservation Society. Hell yeah. That'd actually be some really good interest music for, like, a 70s theme. Wrestler Renee says that STAT gave Jamie the shot and that even though STAT did that, Jamie still clotheslined her and posed with her belt. STAT talks about how everything that Jamie's lost and how Stat also lost a lot, but how her SOP story is over and how high she is now. Says that STAT is still. Or Jamie is still familiar, but Stat is always improving. Says that Jamie will be there and will be in there. With the cosmic killer. And that shows off some really cool, like, arm sleeves that say cosmic killer. [00:41:04] Speaker A: Cross them. Oh, yeah, I'd. [00:41:05] Speaker B: Buy, like. I. [00:41:06] Speaker A: Like that. I'd. [00:41:07] Speaker B: Buy those. Yeah, that'd be. [00:41:09] Speaker A: Cool looking. I love a good arm sleeve and I. [00:41:12] Speaker B: Like that. It's. It's a good name for it too. It's like a good red. It bridges the gap with her old, like, alien gimmick and everything. And like, the characters kind of like tough girl things she's. [00:41:23] Speaker A: Advanced into. Yeah. It's like a very short, sweet, simple promo. And it. [00:41:28] Speaker B: Was good. Yeah. Renee asked Jamie if she has anything to add, and Jamie says she has plenty to add and goes for the clothesline, but stack catches it. Jamie says to remember the. Just remember the last time she hit that with that clothesline stat. Didn't get up and. Yeah, it was just. It was succinct. Builds the feud well, and I'm excited for it. These two are gonna put on a. [00:41:47] Speaker A: Great match. Yeah. They're gonna beat the. Out of each other and it's gonna. [00:41:53] Speaker B: Be awesome. Yep. It's one that I'm imagining is gonna be, like, possibly the sleeper hit of the show. Like, there's plenty that. And like, the women's tag match, I think we'll just, like, probably blow way more stuff out of the water than. [00:42:09] Speaker A: Anything else. Yeah, I. I am in agreement. [00:42:12] Speaker B: With that. We are on to everyone's favorite. Maxwell Jacob Freeman versus a jobber. Yeah. And this jobber's name is Dustin Waller. I feel like I've heard the name Dustin Waller before. I may be on an indie show or something like that, but he is here to get murdered and that's. [00:42:33] Speaker C: What happens. I'm into it. I like a good. [00:42:35] Speaker B: Jobber spot. You gotta have some nice squashes. And Max is a good person to do these kind because he gets to kind of exhibit his cruelty and like that. He gets to really play his heel stuff up. Which as much as Max can get tiresome on the mic to me in ring as a heel, he always delivers so well. Like, is the best in the world to do that. [00:42:57] Speaker C: Kind of. What was my. Kind of my thought too, with this. I was like, yeah, no, this is good. Because everyone's pissed that rightfully, like I said, like, his. His. [00:43:08] Speaker B: 79. [00:43:08] Speaker C: Stank. Yeah. And like, now he can come out here and go, but you can't be that mad because I'm really good at this. Even if it's just a squash against. [00:43:20] Speaker B: This jabroni. He did the Adam Cole in the face spot. Which I haven't seen for a while. The jobber sitting on the ground, he comes up and just wangs him in the forehead. We miss. [00:43:32] Speaker A: You, man. [00:43:33] Speaker B: Come. [00:43:33] Speaker A: Back. Yeah. [00:43:34] Speaker B: Adam healthy. And MDF hits that, like, hammer, lock, trap, DDP thing, which I think always looks really cool. Like all. [00:43:42] Speaker A: That. [00:43:42] Speaker B: Move. Yeah. And turns it into. [00:43:44] Speaker C: The. [00:43:44] Speaker B: Salt. Yeah. And then transitions into the arm. [00:43:48] Speaker A: Very cool. That turns it. The. That move as a setup for the salt of the earth is like a really good combination. And he should keep. [00:43:57] Speaker C: Doing. [00:43:57] Speaker B: It. Yeah. Yeah. He's also wrenching the arm when he does it. Yeah. Mjf. He gets the mic, but before he can say anything, Hangman page music plays. And he's hanging out in the crowd and swerves. Music and swerves. Hang out in the crowd. And they do this every time now. It still looks cool as well, but we already had guys whose thing is coming in through the crowd. Hey, man. Gets the mic. He says that the requirement for no physicality that they had in England is over, and now he's gonna whoop. [00:44:30] Speaker C: His ass. Yeah, it stayed. [00:44:32] Speaker B: In England. He tells Max to say whatever low brow, misogynistic stuck in the 90s comment he was gonna say. Says that all the casting directors for the movies that Max wants to be in would love to hear it. Tells Max to compare them to another sex pest in the news, since there is plenty of. [00:44:50] Speaker C: That. Yeah. Hey, right. Yeah. Like, Hangman's hitting everybody. Like, like, everybody. [00:44:59] Speaker B: Bang, bang. [00:45:00] Speaker C: He's. [00:45:01] Speaker B: Shooting. [00:45:02] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. That's a shoot, brother. I'm here. [00:45:07] Speaker B: For it. I still just don't know about this as, like. [00:45:10] Speaker A: Promo fodder. I. [00:45:12] Speaker B: Don'T know. Even the ditties and all that. I'm. [00:45:15] Speaker C: Just like. It felt like a Reese. Well, it felt like. I don't know, it felt like a response in a certain way. I don't know if it's necessarily something that was, like, planned. You know what. [00:45:25] Speaker A: I mean? Like, I. I imagine they like. Because the way that this whole thing worked is like, Max doesn't get to say a word this week and. [00:45:34] Speaker B: Last week. I love. [00:45:36] Speaker A: That. Yeah. Nobody got to respond to him last week, so this is, like. [00:45:39] Speaker B: The response. So, I mean, in general, I just don't know about using, like, this. [00:45:44] Speaker A: For promo. Yeah. I don't know if I would do that, to. [00:45:48] Speaker B: Be honest. But, yeah, it's whatever. Seems a little progressive. I. [00:45:53] Speaker C: Don'T know. Hanging fruit. I'll give. [00:45:56] Speaker B: You that. And it is. And I mean, I'm glad, like, Hangman is literally saying, like, hey, this is lame that you keep doing this kind of, like, offensive. [00:46:05] Speaker C: Edgelord stuff. Okay. To be the person who comes in and says, technically lame is an ableistler, but, yes, no, he's trying to do the thing. And our. Our woke. God. Both of them came in together in a very homoerotic fashion to say, no, you don't get to. [00:46:27] Speaker A: Do. [00:46:28] Speaker C: This. Yeah. I really enjoyed how everyone. How, like, everyone kind of came in and got their entrances coming in through the. What you. [00:46:40] Speaker B: Calls it? [00:46:40] Speaker C: The crowd. Yeah. Oh. All in all, I. This was one of my favorite segments of the whole show. Mostly because it was just so, like. [00:46:51] Speaker B: Real gay. Yes. [00:46:54] Speaker C: It does. Really gay. It was super like. Like, the normies were on Blue sky going, I'm watching wrestling. Did you guys know this was gay? Like, I'm getting. [00:47:08] Speaker A: Paid. [00:47:09] Speaker C: In. And. Yes. Me and my friends have a whole show about how this is. [00:47:16] Speaker A: Very gay. Very good. That was. That. [00:47:19] Speaker B: Was just. As we talked before wrestling, Tumblr. Check. [00:47:22] Speaker C: It. [00:47:23] Speaker B: Out. Yeah. Yeah. They go. Hangman and Swerve start charging to the crowd. Before they can get there, the mooks from the Ops Dojo or come out. What the. [00:47:34] Speaker A: Was that? Do we just have to kill, like, 20 OPS dojo guys every. [00:47:41] Speaker B: Episode now? They're. [00:47:42] Speaker A: Literally Goombas. Yeah, it's a contract. It's like. [00:47:47] Speaker B: Oh, ninjas. Swerve has to have a bunch of goons that he can take out. Like, that is his thing. He didn't do the stomp on him this week. I think they just kind of, like, kick their asses a little. Yeah, it's where if they fight through the goons and they get into the ring, get to Max, then Joe pops up on the screen. It says the men he knew, the men he was sending out wouldn't be a threat. We're just sending like, 20 kids to get the beat out. [00:48:11] Speaker A: Of him. He is. [00:48:15] Speaker B: Shredder. God. Really gonna sign up for this dojo now? It. [00:48:21] Speaker A: Sounds fun. I just wanted to lose a little weight. Why do I have to. [00:48:25] Speaker B: Get killed? I just. I'm a. I'm a big Kaz fan. I just wanted to. [00:48:29] Speaker A: Meet Taz. What does this have to do with wrestling? I hate my feet. Can I just get my. My. [00:48:37] Speaker C: Green. [00:48:37] Speaker B: Belt? Now? You have to get stapled in the nuts five times. First he's going to staple your tongue, and then you can get your 500. [00:48:48] Speaker C: Deposit back. Yeah, I'm sorry. You wanted a belt and Death Jitsu, you did. You gotta read the. [00:48:55] Speaker B: Fine print. Joe says that he sent them out to expose their True natures. He talks about how they all have hatred and that he's going to come after them one by one. Tells him to hit the snack catchphrase and send the people happy. Send the people. [00:49:08] Speaker C: Home happy. Yeah. One of those fancy little catchphrases. He is. So the people. That was a. [00:49:16] Speaker B: Good line. Kind of didn't feel like Joe needed to be there for this. I. I know they want to get like all four people involved in everything, but like, it's like, all right, we'll just throw a little backstage thing. [00:49:27] Speaker C: Up here. But I do like that he didn't. He didn't come down to the ring because he's like, I respect that. Now you guys gotta. You guys gotta do. [00:49:34] Speaker B: The gay. I'm just gonna send my 20 foot. My foot soldiers down to. [00:49:39] Speaker C: And watch my army of cucks. Yes. To watch you chok this. [00:49:45] Speaker A: Man out. 145,000 dead ops. [00:49:50] Speaker C: Dojo boys. I can only make so much merch at once. Hold on. I'm trying to figure out how to make. How to upload this font. Hold on. [00:50:06] Speaker B: Anyways, continue. Max goes to attack Hangman from behind, but Hangman dodges out of the way and swerve. Hits Max with the house call. Real. [00:50:15] Speaker C: One too. It's a real good one. Solid. [00:50:18] Speaker B: House call. Hangman gets the chain around. [00:50:21] Speaker C: Mjs like, just like you. [00:50:23] Speaker B: Asked, boss. The thigh slap was. [00:50:29] Speaker C: Perfectly timed. Yeah. [00:50:33] Speaker B: Hell yeah. Yeah. Now straddling and choking mjf, who also we should mention, has slick back CM. [00:50:43] Speaker A: Punk hair. Now he looks exactly like punk. And it's got to be intention. [00:50:50] Speaker C: It has. It has to be. This is. It goes. This goes even further. Like, because here's. Have y' all seen any of the reaction on. On the bad play site about all. [00:51:02] Speaker B: Of this? Oh. [00:51:03] Speaker C: Yeah, all. All the. The chuds of wrestling are talking about how this was a humiliation, like ritualistic humiliation of the. [00:51:14] Speaker B: Anti woke. Like he was the man. No. [00:51:18] Speaker A: That'S stupid. Funny. [00:51:20] Speaker C: As hell. Oh my God. I'm sitting here going, yes, yes, it was. Why do you think he has CM Punk's haircut? Is because he tried to do a pipe bomb. And they said, listen up, this is aew. We do pro wrestling and gay. Shut the up with your little punk haircut. Like we're. We're gonna make everyone think we're gonna kiss. And you gotta watch with a chain around your throat. Pardon me. If you need me, I'll be in. [00:51:51] Speaker B: My bunk. Hey, man, it's just. He's straight straddling Max and choking him with this Chain while serve gets in his face. That's a really good. This is the promo. Swerve Cuts is really good. Yeah, it's. [00:52:04] Speaker C: Good stuff. It's real good stuff. And people are like, he's our scumbag. And he's like, well, I'm. He's about to be my scumbag right now. I. [00:52:11] Speaker B: Was like. He talks about how Max. He doesn't hit. Yeah. Max doesn't hate the people. He loves the people. He loves the reaction. He loves the retreats. He loves the attention he gets for being a jerk, and it feeds his ego. Yeah. Like I said, they did a really good. He's our scumbag. And no, he's not like, kind of back and forth chance, which I like too. That's. [00:52:33] Speaker C: Always a. A little bit. They're really breaking down. 79. [00:52:36] Speaker B: Stank. [00:52:37] Speaker C: 101. They. They're. They listen to the show. All of them do. Now. [00:52:40] Speaker B: We. [00:52:40] Speaker C: Know. Yeah. Tony. [00:52:42] Speaker B: Common. [00:52:43] Speaker C: Sis. He. He. He hands it out to the entire. The entire locker room. Remember to listen. These are who we're doing. [00:52:49] Speaker A: It for. Just skip through the Minotaur. [00:52:51] Speaker C: Sex part. Or don't you know? I see you, Mordo. I see you and. [00:52:57] Speaker B: Mercedes. Yeah. Yeah. Luciasaurus probably listens to it too. He's not Minotaur, but he's. [00:53:03] Speaker A: Minotaur adjacent. He's got the heart. [00:53:07] Speaker B: All the. Yeah. Any monster wrestler probably adamantly listens to our conversations about Minotaur sucks. That's what I have. [00:53:14] Speaker C: To imagine. It's still weird that there's more. [00:53:18] Speaker B: Than one. If I had a nickel for. [00:53:21] Speaker C: Every time. It's so sad. Again, continue podcasting. [00:53:24] Speaker B: Jesus Christ. Swerve says that Max has power and that turns him into a monster. And says that makes him more like Diddy than Swerve will ever be. Yeah. Talks about the victims of mjf. He name drops the Pinnacle. He name drops Wardlow. He talks about Jay White and Adam Cole and how they are all worse off for having dealt with jf, Which I genuinely forgot. The Pinnacle was the thing that happened. That was long enough ago. And hopefully them mentioning Wardlow means he's still in somewhat good graces alive. I know he was hurt. He's hurt. He was hurt for a while and then he's on the new American Gladiators. They're doing. He's a gladiator. Yeah. Him and. [00:54:10] Speaker C: Like Camille. That. Okay. That's where they. [00:54:15] Speaker B: Went. [00:54:15] Speaker C: Okay. Yeah. That's actually. That really tracks. [00:54:18] Speaker B: That makes. And I think it's actually hosted by the Miz too. Which is some weird crossover. I think it's the first time WWE and AW wrestlers will probably be on the same show. It's just not a. [00:54:29] Speaker C: Wrestling show. All of that makes sense. [00:54:31] Speaker A: And I will definitely not watch. [00:54:33] Speaker C: It then. And if you know anything about the actual. The original American Gladiators, all of. [00:54:38] Speaker B: This tracks. Yeah, I love some American Gladiators back in the day. I don't know if I'll watch a lot of it, but I might like watch the first episode episode before I get turned off by how, like, glossy. [00:54:49] Speaker A: It is. I can't listen to that man. [00:54:50] Speaker C: Talk ever. Yeah, no. Like you. You would. I'm at the point in my life where I would have to actively be paid to take in any form of. Of Mike. Mike whatever is like whatever the Mike Mowski or whatever the. I hate him. I hate him so much. The Miz the piece of. [00:55:10] Speaker B: Oh God. He's not very good. Swerve says that anybody who he has faced has come out friend or foe has come out better. That difference between him and Max. Swerve says that he will always be the better person than Max. He says he's going to get one of those snappy catchphrases that Joe wanted and hits the whose house and they cut it as Max passes out in the chain. Which was, yeah, very cinematic, very gay. But that's what we like to. [00:55:37] Speaker C: See. Yeah. You do it. [00:55:38] Speaker A: Gay cinematically. Cinematically, it has set the stage for what Max's run is going to be, hopefully, I hope. And that like, he thought he would get to come back. And this is why he's. He's got like the CM Punk look. It's like. So he thought he was going to come back, be like an. Be treated as a hero and get his. [00:56:02] Speaker B: Redemption. [00:56:02] Speaker A: Arc. Yeah. And Swerve was just like, no, man, you gotta. [00:56:07] Speaker C: Earn that. That's what. [00:56:08] Speaker A: I'm saying. You don't just get to walk in and. [00:56:11] Speaker B: You don't. Which is even the story of the match too, with. With Max, even when he's cashing in saying, like, I'm going to. I'm going to be all of you. So there is no doubt. Nobody can say I'm not the best. You know, it builds some nice storyline for it, which for what could have kind of felt like a thrown together thing. It actually gives some good stakes. [00:56:29] Speaker A: To it. I'm much more invested in it now than I was after. [00:56:32] Speaker B: Last week. Yeah, I agree. 100. Yeah. I definitely added some more. [00:56:36] Speaker C: To it. I feel vindicated because I really feel that everyone that was like freaking out a little bit and like doing the things were playing into the heat and really needed to let him just let it, let it simmer, let them do their job. Like there's going to be a payoff. He's not going to just get away with this. Like the. It's not the fed like that something. Something's gonna happen here. And it was. I. I again, can't stress enough. Extremely pleasing, like, satisfactory ending. [00:57:09] Speaker B: For me. My fantasy booking here is Max wins at the pay per view, holds it for like four months as Eddie builds himself up and Eddie Kingston takes it off him to finally get his world title, which he needs to have before he retires. Doesn't have to be long. Just put the belt on Eddie for like a little bit. And him taking it off so, like, Max would. [00:57:29] Speaker A: Be amazing. Little, Little. We could have a little Eddie title run as. [00:57:34] Speaker C: A treat. I think we deserve a little Eddie title run as a treat. I don't know about this Max business, but also, I mean, I haven't even finished my post. [00:57:45] Speaker B: Dinner bowl. [00:57:46] Speaker C: So like, maybe by the second hour of Dynamite, I'll be on your side. But yep, Max. [00:57:54] Speaker B: Strap them. Yeah. Yeah. We got backstage with Renee and the Babes of wrath. They talk about how the babes wrath are faint Athena and Mercedes at world's end and they are facing Maya world and high and on collision tomorrow night and they just start complimenting each other. They just started, like, big up in each other a bunch. It was really sweet. They're. [00:58:14] Speaker A: Talking about Willow just said, like, I feel kind of down. I need a confidence boosts. And Harley's like, I got you, girl. You're beautiful and talented and strong like hell yeah. And they complimented. [00:58:28] Speaker B: Renee too. Yeah. Yeah. And she. [00:58:31] Speaker C: Deserved it. I love women and I love women who love women and women taking care of each other. And I love us. We're so good. [00:58:42] Speaker B: Sorry, Jeff. I do also. I love when Renee. I love when he gets to be in on bits. Like, that's one of my favorite things in AW where she's just like kind of gets dragged into something funny backstage and just rolls with it. Yeah. I also like that during the babes of Rat chat, even when Harley starts cutting like the rest of the promo, Willow is just still chanting it in the background and like, kind of walking around. It's like, you are the most. [00:59:06] Speaker A: Adorable person. That's awesome. I hope they never lose. [00:59:09] Speaker C: Those belts. For those playing along at home, did Ella find and download a free version of approximately the font used for the NWO Logo. Yes. Yes, she did. Anyways, again, continue POD. [00:59:23] Speaker B: Information. [00:59:23] Speaker A: Superhighway. Yeah. Yeah. The world. [00:59:28] Speaker B: Wide Web. We hop to Ricochet versus Bandido for the dynamite diamond ring. I wasn't here last week so I could talk about it, but I don't really care about the dynamite. [00:59:37] Speaker A: Diamond ring. Nobody does. I didn't even know it was. [00:59:44] Speaker C: A thing. It's whatever. [00:59:45] Speaker B: It's fine. It is relevant for, like, two weeks every year. That, and it's always been mjf. Like, the fact it's been on the same person for six years and no one's cared. Like, that's. [00:59:55] Speaker C: How elephant. No, the. Honestly, the big. The biggest deal about this, to me specifically, is the fact that MGF has nothing to do with it. And that's kind. [01:00:05] Speaker B: Of nuts. I know. It's. It is refreshing. It's the most interesting. I've been in it for a while. Because he's not involved with it. I'm like, oh, it's actually. [01:00:13] Speaker C: Different people. And they're doing a women's one, too, I think. So it's like, oh, they're actually gonna try to, like, make this a thing again instead of just having it be. This is what Max uses to punch. [01:00:24] Speaker B: Out people. Does it come with a title? Do you get a title shot for it? Or do you just get the ring? Like. [01:00:30] Speaker C: I think. I think there's. [01:00:31] Speaker B: Something. Yeah. Maybe this is, like, Madam Carnage, actually, or something. Something. [01:00:35] Speaker A: Like that. Yeah. Maximum Carnage idea. It's a. [01:00:38] Speaker B: Title shot. I also think just regular battle royales are kind of one of the most boring match stipulations. There are, like, stagger. And especially. It always feels weird in the Dynamite because it ends with two people winning. It matches the end with, like, more than one person when you always feel like they almost like this weird cliff where you're like, oh, expecting to go into the final stretch. It's like, no, no. Not the final stretch is next week. Like, I don't. Okay. But these are the right people. Ricochet and Bandito are both the perfect wrestlers to begin. This guy push. And this match is cool. These guys rule together. I love that. Bandito comes out in Brody King's gear looking like a little child wearing his dad's clothes. It's. [01:01:19] Speaker A: So good. So. [01:01:22] Speaker B: Much. Yeah. [01:01:24] Speaker C: So nice. Well, then, after last week's Avenge Me. [01:01:28] Speaker B: Mr. Bandito, his new thing is he does the macho man spin in the finger taunts. Like, he always does this. Like, I think it was last week he did it down the apron during his entrance. He just, like, spun around and did the, oh yeah. Fingers up in. [01:01:44] Speaker C: The air. You know, Jay Lethal's in the back. Just like, oh, it's gonna piss him off. Trust me. You can. [01:01:51] Speaker A: Have this. Have a. I, I, I. [01:01:53] Speaker B: Liked Macho man gimmick on a pole mask. [01:01:56] Speaker A: Between them. I like Toad. [01:01:58] Speaker B: Christmas sweater. That was really good. We get a still bald chance, which are very nice. They do some great like flippy exchanges. I love like these back and forth like Rana exchanges where they're just kind of like dodging and move, you know, feeling out but like still very fast paced. [01:02:15] Speaker A: And athletic. It's like right in both their wheelhouses. So it's. [01:02:19] Speaker B: It'S perfect. Yeah, this is, this is a great pairing. Like these two each other. I like that. Even after that, Bandito goes for the macaron and Ricochet just smashes him ugly style in the back of the head. Just runs up and kind of like clobbers him a little bit. Like Ricochet then goes for the Macarena himself, but Bandito come up and slaps him on his. [01:02:39] Speaker C: Bald head. How dare. [01:02:41] Speaker A: You, sir? Bipping, I believe they. [01:02:43] Speaker B: Called it. I love the word bipping for it. I'm not sure how accurate that is, but it's fantastic. And they even do a. Bandito does his one handed press slam where he lifts the dude up with one arm, throws him off over the apron and Ricochet bounces off of the apron to the floor. And then Bandito gets to do. [01:03:04] Speaker C: The Macarena. Like I love how he's, he started doing that, selling a, a busted up arm in a match and now he just does it because he. [01:03:13] Speaker A: Can, he's God, because he's. [01:03:17] Speaker B: Not human. [01:03:17] Speaker A: He's. [01:03:18] Speaker B: Bandito. Bandito. It's just, I mean, I mean even when I was watching that shot, Master to the chat was just like Bandito is about, he genuinely like as much as like with those Sports Illustrated awards. Hangman winning is fine. To me, it makes it. But to me the wrestler of the year was probably bad. You know, he has an electric 2025. He had two match of the year contenders like in back to back ring about our pay per view against Takeshita and Hechicero, but. [01:03:50] Speaker A: So good. And he just kills it like on TV. [01:03:54] Speaker B: Every week. Yeah. Hands down. And he's super over. People love him. He just seems like a cool dude who like during the commercials, Tony talks about how tough Excalibur and Nielsen were being wrestlers and all the bumps and everything they took. Excalibur says that he retired way earlier than Brian Danielson. In a large part due to damage that Brian Danielson did. [01:04:14] Speaker A: To him. Oh. [01:04:15] Speaker B: My God. Danielson says sorry and wishes him a. [01:04:20] Speaker A: Merry Christmas. Thanks. My sciatic nerve pain. Really. [01:04:25] Speaker B: Appreciates that we all miss Taz, but Bryan Danielson is a fantastic, weird, funny dude in commentary, especially during. [01:04:36] Speaker A: The commercials. That was so funny because, like, Excalibur just busted it out. I was like that. Yeah, Brian. Brian injured me and I had to retire. And Brian just like, yeah, it's like that. About, like. [01:04:51] Speaker B: Wow. Sorry. Yeah. Merry Christmas. Honestly, I think Tony Schiavone might be drunk because he keeps telling Excalibur how great he is on. You're really great. You're. [01:05:05] Speaker A: The greatest. He's so freaking. [01:05:08] Speaker B: Good, man. As a Christmas cheer, they do this. They come back from commercial and they hit this. There's a really cool spot to me. Ricochet does his rolling Northern Lights into the brain Buster spot. He does then holds on, and they roll out to the ring apron. And Ricochet powers him through into a suplex on the apron. They then roll onto the floor, and Dito powers him up and back suplexes him onto the floor. I was like, that was just very slick between those two. I don't think I've ever seen. [01:05:41] Speaker A: That before. I. I don't even know what to call that, but it was cool. [01:05:44] Speaker B: As. [01:05:44] Speaker A: Hell. Yeah. Such a. [01:05:47] Speaker B: Perfect matchup. Ricochet goes in, he hits the Vertigo, got out Yamato with the. For the near fall. Ricochet goes for the spear gun, but Benito dodges out of the way. They do some good kick exchanges here. Like I said, these guys just are both so athletic and so agile. It's just a lot that is here to blow. [01:06:07] Speaker A: Your mind. [01:06:07] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Because then, yeah. Bandido gets up on the shoulders. Like, Ricochet gets him up like he's gonna slam him. And Bandito turns it into that poison Rana. It just looks. [01:06:16] Speaker A: So smooth. Oh, and then, like, the most. The coolest spot. But I was also like, holy. That could have, like, gone horrible. That always play, right? The. The Styles. [01:06:28] Speaker B: Clash thing. They have the Styles Clash. [01:06:32] Speaker C: Power bomb. Oh, yeah. The Styles Clash, like, liger. [01:06:37] Speaker A: Bomb. [01:06:38] Speaker C: Basically. Yeah. How did I put it? I'd smoke in a joint while watching this. And I was like. I had. I had the thought. I was like, what do you even call that? It's like a one inch punch liger bomb. [01:06:52] Speaker B: It was. [01:06:54] Speaker A: It was. Excalibur called it. Called it a stuff Liger bomb. And I was. [01:07:00] Speaker B: Like, sure. Yeah. That's a good way to put it, though. No, that's one way to do it. Yeah. Bandito goes for a frog splash. Ricochet D out of the way. Yeah. And Bandido takes off Ricochet's head with a super kick. Like, that was very brutal. They do the spot where Bandito gets the. Was it the X knee? Is that what they call it? Where he's like his kind of version of the go to sleep thing, you know, gets. That. Gets to set up for the 21 plex. But Bishop Khan runs up and catches Ricochet's hand so that Bandito can't flip through on it. And Ricochet kicks back and gets him right in the brodidos. Smashes that balls the little luchadors right in the. [01:07:44] Speaker A: El. [01:07:44] Speaker C: Santos. [01:07:52] Speaker B: Santos. Yeah. Yeah. Ricochet goes for the spirit gun, and Beetle counters it and rolls it through into a pin for the win, which looks really slick. I thought that was a. [01:08:05] Speaker A: Cool spot. They have such. [01:08:07] Speaker B: Good chemistry. Like, yeah, this needs to be run back. [01:08:12] Speaker A: Like this. I'm just, like, in awe of just even booking this match because, like, you have the guy who's, like, the most beloved baby face on the roster versus, like, the most hate goofball heel. [01:08:28] Speaker B: Piece of. Yeah, it really landed. It landed perfectly. Like, the way it worked out. And Ricky, I'm just happy. More accolades for Bandito, like, even if it's one I don't particularly care about, at least it's another feature win for him. It is something that they can put out, you know, not only is he the ROH champion, not only is a former World Tag Team champion, he's also a dynamite Battle Royale. [01:08:53] Speaker C: Winner now. Yeah, he's got this real cool ring for next year, basically, that you can't sell. And I also like it because it means that they are continuing to invest. [01:09:04] Speaker B: In him. No, exactly. Yeah. Yep. No, that's. It's great. Good booking. Ricochet, though, is not pleased. He jumps Bandito and starts beating him down. And out comes Brody King looking for his coat. He no longer has his. I told you not to wear my clothes. I know it looks funny, but come on, man. [01:09:28] Speaker C: I'm cold. It's not as good as Fat guy to little coat. Little guy to fat coat. I said what. [01:09:39] Speaker A: I. [01:09:39] Speaker B: Said. I. [01:09:41] Speaker A: It's not. I'm so happy that they're still going to stay friends and that they're probably still going to be a tag team regularly. And. [01:09:49] Speaker B: They'Re just. Oh. [01:09:50] Speaker A: Yeah, they're. They're. [01:09:51] Speaker B: So adorable. Yeah, they're. Yeah, it's. And it's nice to have when Baby Face has got people on their side like that. Like, he'll always have factions and stuff. Stuff. So it's good when you got, like, kind of a baby face counterpoint like that to add. [01:10:03] Speaker A: The backup. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. [01:10:08] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Brody runs off the demand, and they get in. Justin announces that bandido is the winner, and Brody presents him with the ring. It's a very beautiful moment. [01:10:17] Speaker C: Very sweet. Super happy. Got down on. [01:10:19] Speaker B: One. [01:10:19] Speaker C: Knee. [01:10:21] Speaker B: Yeah. Yeah. They're gonna be. [01:10:24] Speaker C: Together forever. They made it. [01:10:26] Speaker B: Proficial. Yeah. We hop backstage with Darby. [01:10:35] Speaker C: Allen and Alicia Attoot, who is looking adorable this evening. I needed to get that out. I'm. [01:10:42] Speaker A: Just saying. Wait, was. [01:10:43] Speaker C: That Alicia? It's not. [01:10:44] Speaker B: Just Renee. Oh, maybe it. [01:10:46] Speaker C: Was Lexi. It was Lexi. Oh. [01:10:48] Speaker B: My bad. Sorry. I wrote the wrong. [01:10:50] Speaker C: One down. You mentioned the not Renee, and I was like, yes, the not. [01:10:54] Speaker B: Renee tonight. Yep. I do get those two mixed up. I'm bad. [01:10:58] Speaker C: About that. It's okay. She had Renee levels of outfit awesomeness going on, and it felt like I needed to bring attention to it. [01:11:07] Speaker B: Thank you. No, I'm glad you corrected me on who it was too. I was gonna say, I don't want to try and. [01:11:12] Speaker C: Be better. It. [01:11:13] Speaker B: Was Lexington. Yes. Yeah. Lexi says that Darby is medically cleared now and asks what's next? And Darby kind of rambles for a little bit, and she cuts him off, actually. She's like, what's your answer to Gabe kid? Like, he was right in the middle of a sentence. It's like, good job. Keep them on track or they will go off. Darby says that he has more important things to worry about than Gabe kid. And Gabe kid jumps him and knocks him out, and they take out the camera. So we get like, a little bit of a. Just. I will call it an audioscape of. [01:11:45] Speaker C: A fight, which is a real bold move for. Aw, It's. [01:11:56] Speaker B: Not there. It's not. [01:11:57] Speaker C: Their forte. Yeah, it's not there. Yeah, it's not their. Their best place. Which reminds me. [01:12:02] Speaker B: Call me. Anyways, it's like a solid minute too, where it's just, like, no sound, and you just hear, like, bang. [01:12:08] Speaker A: Grunt, bang. It was weird. It was. The whole thing was kind. [01:12:13] Speaker B: Of weird. But, yeah, camera does come back on, and they're at the stairs again, and Gabe asked Darby if he's feeling nostalgic, and he drags Darby up the stairs and then throws him back down again. I guess, like we were saying, it makes sense thematically in storyline with the injury. I kind of forgot that happened, but it just doesn't when you've seen every other Darby Allen bump. It does not look. [01:12:34] Speaker A: That crazy rolling down the stairs you could possibly do. Which like, I, I don't, I, I, I don't know. I was like confused by the whole thing because it's like, did they do the fake static cut so that they could get a stunt Darby in there? Because like he was just hurt bad enough that they're like, holy. You can't wrestle for. [01:12:58] Speaker B: Three weeks. They just really don't want a chance injuring him. [01:13:01] Speaker A: Again. Nothing. Just kick him down the stairs as soon as he's healthy again, like, that's up. This had to be a. [01:13:08] Speaker B: Stunt derby. And also it's a pre recorded show. They could edit it out however they want. Like it's a pre recorded segment. They could edit it out however they want. You need a solid minute of. [01:13:17] Speaker A: Pitch black. Like I, I don't, I didn't get it. There's like they, no, they were in the, they were in the Blair Witch basement. And then like Gabe Kidd is like just, you just see him coming for like it's like Holy Grail where Lancelot is like running through the field for like several cuts before he actually gets. Kid was walking down that. [01:13:43] Speaker C: Hallway. [01:13:44] Speaker B: Forever. Fantastic. Yeah, I don't care about this match. I mean, like I said, feels like Darby needs a singles match and I like Gabe Kidd well enough, but I just don't give a here. I feel probably a. [01:13:57] Speaker A: Fine math. It'll be crazy. And Darby. Okay. [01:14:00] Speaker B: A bump. Gabe will do something crazy to him. Now we are on to what should be the main event. Mina Fear or Marina Shafir versus Mina Shirakawa. They do a. [01:14:11] Speaker C: Little backstage. [01:14:13] Speaker B: That's. [01:14:13] Speaker C: Terrifying. Yeah. Could you imagine mother's milk with. [01:14:17] Speaker B: Those boobies? Give me your head. Give me your head right. [01:14:21] Speaker C: Off. Yeah. Okay, wait, no, I wanted, I wanted that, that put that down on ways that I want. [01:14:29] Speaker B: To die. Anyways, they do a little backstage bit with Mina. Basically telling Tony to stay in the back and let Mina fight alone. She doesn't want Tony to come out and save her or interfere because Mina is a fighter and she actually looks really good like at the start of this match. Particularly like she gets some control over Marina for a while. Get some good offense in, does a lot of leg work which kind of becomes like the theme of. [01:14:54] Speaker A: The match. Yeah, I'm. Mina kind of needed this match because I think that people forget that she's like, oh yeah, she's a really. [01:15:03] Speaker B: Good wrestler. Yeah, like, yeah, she's funny and she's in a great little gimmick with Tony Storm but she's also a world class in. [01:15:12] Speaker C: Ring performer. Like kind has kind of been a big deal this. [01:15:15] Speaker A: Whole time. Huh. Like I, I've been very struck by the fact that they, they even mentioned on commentaries like Marina Shafir doesn't get many singles matches because everybody's scared of her. They won't take matches. [01:15:28] Speaker B: With her. Yeah, I thought that was a. [01:15:31] Speaker A: Nice touch. Yeah, I like it. I was like, yeah, like they've what would. She hasn't wrestled that much but like she has like she's so. [01:15:39] Speaker B: Scary that. Well when she came down it showed her. Her singles record in AEW for the year was 1 and 0. She has had one singles match. [01:15:49] Speaker C: This year. Yeah, I. [01:15:51] Speaker B: Saw that. Yeah, she does stuff in Defy. She's the Defy women's champion and has some like really good going. Marina's and this match to me felt like we're showing what Marina has become. Like we really like how she's put it together as an in ring package. I thought it over delivered in. [01:16:08] Speaker A: That way. This was probably the best match I've seen. [01:16:12] Speaker B: Her have. Yeah, definitely. I like this spot where they're doing like the big strike exchanges and right before Marina smacks Mina so hard she just yells do better in her face. Like she, I was like that was a really good like little character touch there. Like hit. [01:16:27] Speaker A: Me harder. [01:16:29] Speaker C: Scary. [01:16:29] Speaker B: Woman. Yeah. Oh exactly. They even do that. Yeah. Then Mina gets Marina in the figure four and I've never seen this. Marina gets a hold of Mina's fingers and does the finger. [01:16:40] Speaker C: Snap spot. Like. [01:16:44] Speaker A: Joint manipulation. Oh yeah. Well, I mean back up like 30 seconds. Mina puts her in that figure four and Marina like sells it for a second and then just sits up and says I'm not tapping. You have you just break my leg because I'm. [01:17:05] Speaker B: Not tapping. That was really good. Yeah, she's getting a lot of like the little character stuff down so which I think is where you see that Moxley influence on her because that's something he's so good at too of like filling the gaps like doing these little moment to moment things that make matches memorable. Marina throws Mina off the ropes and catches her with boxes her ears. Very old school wrestling moment. You don't see that. [01:17:33] Speaker C: Very often. It was a weird setup too into the mother's milk. But I'm like, yeah, that works. Yeah, you're already kind of hugging her real hard. [01:17:43] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. Your arms are there, the person's disoriented, you can just snag them right down into it, I thought. Yeah, I really. [01:17:49] Speaker C: Like that. Into. [01:17:50] Speaker B: It. Yeah. Yep. Mina passes the out because Marina really does. She just lays that finisher in. It. [01:17:59] Speaker A: Looks amazing. You wouldn't think that it would be that devastating, but, like, the way that she, like, especially the way that she locked it in on Mina last night, like, it looked like a. [01:18:09] Speaker C: Killer move. Yeah, it. [01:18:11] Speaker B: Really does. When she gets them, like kind of down and their body is like angled away and their head is just like. And tilted straight back, it's like. Oh, yeah, it does look like that would. [01:18:19] Speaker C: Really suck. Yeah, yeah. It looks like you're cranking the neck and like. Yeah. And selling the, like, trying to get her breath out was like exquisite. No, they really, they. I talked a little bit about last week too. They took Marina Shafir being someone like, I don't really necessarily know or. [01:18:39] Speaker B: Care. Yeah. I used to who. [01:18:40] Speaker C: You are. Yeah. And now it's like, you. You are the problem. And I. I can agree with. [01:18:46] Speaker B: This assessment. She's become like an attraction talent to me. Like, I'm excited when I see her in stuff. They talk about it during the match where it was like kind of a blessing for Marie that Penelope Ford got hurt because it let Marina get into the tournament, which led to her being in blood and guts kind of. Yeah, yeah. It's really allowed her to show out and start actually getting some good in ring stuff and making her name for. I hope they keep up with this Marina. Then, even though the match is over, she puts Mina back into the mother's milk and Toni Storm comes out for the save and Marina just kicks her in the fucking face and knocks her. [01:19:22] Speaker A: Unconscious immediately. Just like one kick and she was out. [01:19:26] Speaker C: Holy crap. It was pretty nuts. And dropped her right on top of her like a pin. Yeah. It was. [01:19:32] Speaker B: Pretty amazing. And Marina just looks killer. She genuinely looks like, okay, this is a legit badass. Like, because Toni Storm is like top of the heap and. Aw. Women stuff. It's like, all right, not only did you just be Mina, who is a little lower on the totem pole, but you just took out, like. [01:19:49] Speaker C: Knocked out her wife in one. [01:19:51] Speaker B: Kick. Yeah. That's what I hope this feud is leading is Marina versus Tony. Because that would be a very. [01:19:56] Speaker C: Fun signal. I'm gonna. [01:19:59] Speaker A: Do it. Almost positive. Yeah. It's like they don't put that on the pitch. Add that to the pay per view, it'll be at. [01:20:03] Speaker B: Maximum carnage. Yeah, no, exactly. Yeah. They might be building it a little longer. Definitely where it seems like. [01:20:10] Speaker C: It'S going. I'M definitely excited for Saturday either way. Like, holy. [01:20:15] Speaker B: Let's go. There is some dude from the television show Succession in the crowd. I have not watched that show. I do not know this dude. I've. [01:20:22] Speaker A: Heard it. I don't. I don't know him either. I'm sure. [01:20:24] Speaker C: He'S okay. And catch you. What was it? What was. [01:20:29] Speaker A: His name? No, I. I Probably butchering his name, but. [01:20:36] Speaker B: I apologize. He wasn't Kieran Culkin, so I don't know who he is from that show. That's like, the only person I know is. [01:20:45] Speaker A: On there. Yeah, I. Yeah, I've not. I've heard it session. So. [01:20:48] Speaker B: I'm like. [01:20:49] Speaker A: I'm not. I wasn't like, oh, it's the Succession guy. Is he in anything that I've. [01:20:53] Speaker B: Actually watched? No, exactly. And they said he's doing, like, he's, like, part. He's, like, partnering with AEW for something, like a charity. Something that. [01:21:00] Speaker C: Sounded like. Well. [01:21:03] Speaker A: That'S. [01:21:03] Speaker B: Nice. Yeah. Yeah, Good for him. They do a little video package from backstage last week with this time I have it written down. Right. It was Lexi Nairobi talking to the Bucks and Kenny about their physical conditions. Yeah. Bucks say that they won the money. Finally. They got their million bucks. But they are hurt and will be out for at least the end of the year. Which, considering when they aired, this is another five days. They make out to be this big. Like, oh, they're out for the rest of the year. It's December 24th. Like, if they said, you know, maybe, probably. It's probably gonna be past that. But it does very much feel like, okay, this is how long they're out. [01:21:46] Speaker A: Usually, anyway. Yeah, I did. Yeah. Because last year, didn't they go to. They went to Japan for one of the Tokyo Boat. [01:21:53] Speaker B: Dome things. Yeah, they. They won the belts off Naito and Hiromu and then held it for, like, a month and, like, did, like, one defense and then. [01:22:04] Speaker A: Lost them. I forgot that match. [01:22:05] Speaker B: Even happened. It was a very odd little footnote. I think that's when they realized, like, Nido was dipping. And they're like, oh, I gotta. [01:22:12] Speaker A: Get. [01:22:12] Speaker B: This. Yeah. But, yeah, he says since fucks are out, there is something he wants to take care of. You know, basically hinting at a singles match, which I'm guessing will probably be most likely Josh Alexander, but maybe Andrade. Maybe Andrade, because he's around now. He's doing stuff. Yeah, apparently his. Yeah, his. At least according to the Internet, which is always accurate. His contract stuff is resolved. He's free to Work wherever he wants. Now he's showing up in New Japan. So they did set it up and maybe they'll finally pay it off. Yeah, Kenny's gonna have some kind of accurate. Never anything wrong said on. [01:22:52] Speaker C: The Internet. You can't tell why it's on the Internet. There's. [01:22:55] Speaker B: This law. Yep. We get to our main event, which is the Bastard Pack versus Jungle Jack Perry in a Gold League match. And this ruled. It starts off with Jack Perry with the people in the front row or front row that are holding a Tumblr Girls for Jack Perry sign because he has declared his love for that social. [01:23:17] Speaker A: Media. [01:23:17] Speaker C: Platform. [01:23:18] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah. He made sure to get a picture. [01:23:20] Speaker B: With it. Yeah, he went right up to that. He did. He talked quite. He did. He talked in an interview about how he's like, yeah, I got really sick of Twitter, but I found Tumblr and I love it over there. It's just very artistic. I'm like. In the fan fiction, you're reading about the Shield banging each other, aren't. [01:23:36] Speaker C: You, Jack? [01:23:37] Speaker B: That's fine. [01:23:38] Speaker A: That's fine. Yeah, he's probably read all the. Yeah, I'm sure he's read all of it. So if you've ever written Jack Perry smut, guess what? He's. [01:23:47] Speaker B: Read it. Him and luchasaurus sitting next to. [01:23:52] Speaker A: Each. [01:23:53] Speaker B: Other. It. Yep. But this is a sick map. This is really cool. They got some good back and forth. Jack looks really good with the grappling. He's actually kind of in control for most of the start of this. Doing, like, some nice holds and exchanges. Do a great spot where Jack slides to the outside and catches Pack and turns it into a casadora bulldog onto the. [01:24:15] Speaker A: Floor, too. That was so. [01:24:17] Speaker C: Sick. Yeah. This is a really just gross match. [01:24:22] Speaker A: All around. Like, it's been so long since, like, Jack has made me be like, yes, I'm excited for Jungle Boy. [01:24:29] Speaker C: Matches again. Yeah, no, he's really on one, like, well and truly. And I didn't think I'd be saying that about Jack Perry, but. [01:24:38] Speaker B: Like, whoa. Like I said, he's the anti Sammy Guevara. He just has to be like a lovable baby face that does big, pop, poppable moves. And it works so well. People want to be behind him because he's adorable. He's got catchy music and. [01:24:51] Speaker C: He'S nibbly. He wants to do. [01:24:53] Speaker B: The bit. He bites any knives. Everybody loves teeth and knives. That is. [01:24:59] Speaker C: A fact. He whittles and. [01:25:01] Speaker B: He nibbles and he has a dinosaur friend and he has a dice. Like, how. [01:25:09] Speaker C: Do. [01:25:09] Speaker A: You. How. I'm sorry. Like, how do you turn this guy heel at any point? Like this? I know the most perfect, friendly baby face possible. Except like, like the. The dick biting, I guess, is maybe a. [01:25:23] Speaker B: Little problematic. But even that, though. That's the kind of stuff kids love though. They think that. [01:25:27] Speaker A: Shit'S. [01:25:27] Speaker C: Funny. Yeah. [01:25:31] Speaker A: Yeah, exactly. Or. [01:25:35] Speaker B: Yeah, that's. They're all about. That's gonna be all over the playgrounds. Everybody's gonna be biting each other's dicks. Like. [01:25:41] Speaker C: Oh, God. Yeah. We were like in the 90s. It. [01:25:48] Speaker B: Was DX. It was the. [01:25:49] Speaker A: Crotch chop. The accent was crotch chops 2025. It's. [01:25:53] Speaker C: Dick biting. Everyone's biting dicks and calling. [01:25:57] Speaker A: Each other. Please, for the love of God, nobody. [01:26:01] Speaker B: Do that. Yeah, that's the outtrend. [01:26:04] Speaker A: We need. Not. [01:26:05] Speaker B: Without consent. I will say too, Pat, Pac has been like a sleeper hero of this tournament. Like, people like Kyle Fletcher and like all of them are getting like big apps. But every Pack Pack match in this tournament has been excellent. Like, he has showed out. He's doing this heel kick. He's doing probably some of the best work in his career. Despite looking the weirdest he ever. [01:26:24] Speaker A: Has looked. He does look. [01:26:26] Speaker B: Really weird. The hair is still throwing me off. The clothes are throwing me off. The sporadic dryness. Sometimes he's wet, sometimes he's dry. I don't know where I'm sitting with. [01:26:36] Speaker A: This guy. Like, but he's. Yeah, he's. You're. You're. You're right to say, like, he's. He's been really. [01:26:42] Speaker B: Really good. Yeah. [01:26:43] Speaker A: It'S killer. He's probably on the best in ring tear of. [01:26:47] Speaker B: His career. He's to me a. He's a pillar of aew. He's. From the start, he has been such a big part of it. And like, what makes it. [01:26:56] Speaker A: So great? [01:26:58] Speaker B: What the. I like that. [01:27:01] Speaker A: That's beautiful. I. [01:27:02] Speaker C: Love it. No, for folks at home, I. It's already live on the store. Conglomeration adjacent Civilian warrior NWO esque shirt. [01:27:18] Speaker A: Now. [01:27:19] Speaker C: Exists. Hooray. Now everyone can see just how much effort I don't actually put in any of the stuff on that store. We made the podcast while the time in the time it took for Reena put that together. Please give me. [01:27:37] Speaker B: Money. Yeah. This had probably. My favorite commentary exchange was during the commercial break to this match where Danielson's talking about how stupid. He's talking about how stupid Pack is. He's calling him an idiot. And Danielson says that Pac does not believe in evolution. It's right before it comes back from commercial. And there's just a pause after he says that. And Tony Schiavone just goes. Danielson during the commercial. Like, during picture in picture. He just doesn't give a like, because. [01:28:16] Speaker C: He knows. He's like, I can just sing. [01:28:18] Speaker A: With her. He did, like, come back. Like, when they came back, he said, like, I was saying some stuff during the break, but Hawk actually is. [01:28:26] Speaker B: Very intelligent. Yeah, he's a strategic wrestler. But the evolution thing seems too specific not to. [01:28:33] Speaker A: Be true. Yeah, like, that's. That's. [01:28:35] Speaker B: Gotta be. That seems like something that came up in the. In the locker room. Like, Pac was like, I just don't really know if evolution's real. You know, how did we turn in the. Come from monkeys? And Danielson's just. [01:28:50] Speaker C: Like this. I look like I was once. I once was like. I spent like several years working with. And eventually in a band with someone who, like, we had spirited arguments about how the fact that the creation. [01:29:10] Speaker A: Is. [01:29:11] Speaker B: Old. Yeah. I've worked with some very odd Bible people like that. Which all this goes to. [01:29:18] Speaker A: Show is that once the bastard did not come from. [01:29:21] Speaker B: A monkey. The Bryan Danielson would be really cool to hang out with. He seems like a fun. [01:29:31] Speaker A: Dude, but you can't tell him anything because he'll just call you an idiot. [01:29:35] Speaker B: On. [01:29:36] Speaker A: Commentary. Yeah. Don't reveal any of you, like, your deeply held beliefs. [01:29:40] Speaker B: To him. Just don't deny science around him. Just don't be like, gravity. [01:29:44] Speaker C: Doesn'T exist. He will blow up. He will blow up your. And he will find you. [01:29:50] Speaker B: These are. They will make fun of you on. On Triller TV ad spots that only people in England will hear and on. Who hate commercials. Yeah, there's more just. Jack looks great here. He gets a huge brain buster on Pac. He hits that flip over like the run up over the turnbuckles where he flips over them into a German suplex. And this time he does make it over pack, but he's still. It was still a little low, but they sell it where it's like. Because they've been working his leg. [01:30:21] Speaker A: Like he's. He's gonna. When he gets that move down, it's gonna look. [01:30:26] Speaker B: Very cool. Yeah, I kind of like it this way. Like, it shows. It feels like it sells the struggle a little bit. Like I said, especially with something like this where he's been. They've been working the leg a lot and it. It looks almost like realistically ugly where it's like, oh, I messed this up. Oh, I can grab A German and follow. At least turn it into that. It looks. [01:30:43] Speaker C: Great. [01:30:44] Speaker B: Yeah. [01:30:44] Speaker C: Yeah. No. Oh, no. This was the main event. [01:30:46] Speaker B: Wasn'T it? Yeah, this was the main event. Yeah. And rightfully so. It. [01:30:49] Speaker C: Was cool. Yeah, this is a fantastic main event. This was a very good match. And it again continued to be that thing of, like, the C2 just rules this year. Like, and he bit some fingies because he's. [01:31:03] Speaker B: In nipple. I did. [01:31:03] Speaker C: Like that. He bit the. [01:31:05] Speaker B: Finger cactus. He starts tossing Jack around the. They did that, like, top rope, belly to belly, where he throws him just across the. [01:31:14] Speaker A: Ring. [01:31:14] Speaker B: Basically. Holy. Yeah. [01:31:19] Speaker C: He flew. And so the other story for me of this was the. How many ways can I get a brutalizer on you. [01:31:26] Speaker B: Mr. Perry? Yeah, and escape from. [01:31:30] Speaker C: It and. Yeah, and have. [01:31:32] Speaker B: You escape. Like you said, the. The finger bite spot. That was really good. But I love. They did one earlier where Jack, like, barely gets his toe up on the rope blind, like, behind him where he can't see. He just kind of like barely squeaks it on to get out of the brutalizer. And it just. It sold the struggle. [01:31:49] Speaker C: Really well. Yeah. No, was this also the match? I forget. Was this. Was this the match or was it the one one with Roddy where someone got like the goddamn closest to a 3 comp that's ever happened. And the crowd started shouting ch. Like chanting, that. [01:32:06] Speaker B: Was three. Oh, that was Tesha versus Orange at the start of. [01:32:10] Speaker A: The. [01:32:10] Speaker C: Show. Yeah. Okay. I couldn't remember what C2 match that happened. [01:32:16] Speaker B: In. Okay. Because even it was like the third pinfall attempt of the match. And even Danielson's like, I thought that. [01:32:21] Speaker C: Was three. Yeah, that was three. And they're like, no, it was the rest to scratch it. I was like, that. [01:32:27] Speaker B: Was three. Shut up. Yeah. [01:32:31] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. Shut up, Dragon. I want to make sure. I wanted to make sure we mentioned that spot because that was also. [01:32:45] Speaker B: Good stuff. Yeah, No, I blanked. [01:32:47] Speaker C: Yeah, yeah. The other thing I blanked is the crowd chanting happy Hanukkah to Max, which was just. [01:32:56] Speaker B: So cute. [01:32:58] Speaker C: That was. Oh, my heart. My little heathen heart. I was just like, oh, he was going to be nice to this scumbag because he's about to be humiliated and it's gonna be so hot and I'm gonna be thinking about it for a long time. Anyways, this match. Yeah, this. [01:33:16] Speaker A: Match ruled. This match. [01:33:17] Speaker B: Is ruled. Yeah, they had another really good near fall spot where Pack does his, like, build up. Sonic asks Lariat and he takes Jack's head off with it and gets. [01:33:27] Speaker A: Super close. I Think I just got to call it. The Sonic ass. [01:33:33] Speaker B: Lariat now knocks the rings out. [01:33:38] Speaker C: Of him. He like landed on his dome because he went inside out for it as one should for a sonic castle area. And we had just laying on his head. It was like. Happy you have all. [01:33:51] Speaker B: That hair. Yeah. I think it's. It ends up winning pot goes for the brutalizer again. And Jack mags it. Oh no. It's after that. Yeah. Jack does like a roll through almost kind of thing and lands and catches a flash pin for the three count win. Which again this one. Surprised I did not expect. [01:34:09] Speaker C: This result. This is the one I did not see. [01:34:12] Speaker B: Coming. Yeah. Yeah. [01:34:13] Speaker A: Very cool. Because they. When Takeshita won like he basically locked in his spot in the semi finals for the pay. [01:34:21] Speaker B: Per view. Yeah. No. [01:34:23] Speaker A: Matter what. And like they. They really just wanted to make sure that like everything else was down to the wire. So Jack winning makes a lot. [01:34:33] Speaker B: Of sense. Yeah. Now like I said, we have a 68 high. Everybody in the gold block has the exact same amount as six points. So like the collision that's coming on in about 30 minutes right now is gonna have some very like big consequential stuff. Like it's really gonna determine the rest of this pay. [01:34:50] Speaker C: Per view. Yeah. I'm happy we got to the end of this. I'm gonna be able to watch. [01:34:55] Speaker B: It tonight. Yeah, we should time out. Just about. [01:34:58] Speaker A: Perfect actually. I love that the. That roll up Jack did the Cazadora is kind of like the sleeper move of the entire tournament because that's how Kyle. [01:35:11] Speaker B: Beat. [01:35:11] Speaker A: Okada. Yep. That was an upset. Like it's. I'm pretty sure like a couple other people have used it and won matches. So like. And now it's at. [01:35:18] Speaker B: The point. Yeah. There's been a few like. [01:35:20] Speaker A: Roll up. Like but like that specific. That specific roll up has been used so much to get flash pins in this tournament that like. [01:35:29] Speaker B: When guys. Isn't that how the speedball beat Kyle like that too? [01:35:32] Speaker C: I think. Yep. I'm pretty sure that. [01:35:34] Speaker A: Was close. Yeah. Something. Something similar. He did like the. The leg capture thing. [01:35:39] Speaker B: As well. Yeah. He had him like the cross leg into the. [01:35:41] Speaker A: Role. Yeah. But like when the crowd sees that move, they're like, oh, is this it? Because I know. Yeah. Like Orange Cassidy got it a bunch on Takeshita and people like crowd bit on that. [01:35:55] Speaker C: Like hard. So that's also orange. That's also an orange thing. Like I'm always gonna bite a flash pin from Orange Cassidy. [01:36:03] Speaker B: Because like. Yeah. Fight it. [01:36:05] Speaker C: Like junk. And Jack He. That was so much in that. That was so much of that. That title run was just. He would just the skin of his teeth be people they had no. [01:36:14] Speaker B: Right beating. Especially near the end of it when he was getting like. Yeah. After he'd gotten like beat down and destroyed by Moxley for a week. And he had like the wrist, the rib tape on all the time. And he was just barely squeaking wins out on TV over and. [01:36:26] Speaker C: Over again. Yeah, we. We were talking to Hampter about that where he just got like aggressively. More. [01:36:32] Speaker B: Kinesio taped. And. [01:36:33] Speaker C: He'S just. I'm so. [01:36:34] Speaker B: Tired. Yeah. I'm just ready. [01:36:38] Speaker C: To lose. I gotta go sit down. Yeah, that's my favorite orange. I. I wanted. I want a world title run like that so bad. Oh, my God, it'd be so good. Have him do it on TV still every week. Like, that would be so good. Let's go. Hell, yeah. What. [01:37:00] Speaker B: A dynamite. I liked at the end of this too. Jax goes to the. The entrance ramp and he starts doing snow angels on the entrance ramp. There's nothing underneath him. But then Luchasaurus comes out wearing Santa gear and he gets. Yeah. He gives Jungle Jack milk and cookies and puts antlers. [01:37:20] Speaker C: On him. You're handing out like bucket presents. [01:37:27] Speaker B: Into the. Yeah. Natural. [01:37:29] Speaker A: Baby faces. And it was. It's. It's seriously like the man. Like, this is the second time I've ever actually seen milk used and drank on a wrestling show and. [01:37:42] Speaker C: It wasn't sprained by. [01:37:44] Speaker B: Kurt Angle. I also, I love that Luchasaurus is embracing just the comedy of his role. They're not trying to make him like serious killer guy anymore. More like when he was Chris. Just like. No, this is a big. He's an amazing in ring talent. He's a great wrestler and like, people are buying. But he's also just very funny. And he's a dinosaur. [01:38:02] Speaker C: Like, it's. He's a wrestling dinosaur. He's a. [01:38:05] Speaker A: Dinosaur, folks. What else can you do with that except. [01:38:08] Speaker C: Just. [01:38:08] Speaker A: Be. Yeah. Like, because everybody. [01:38:10] Speaker B: Loves dinosaurs. It's fun. Yeah. Let them have fun. [01:38:13] Speaker C: With it. If you're not murderous, then you have to be goofy because otherwise you're. [01:38:19] Speaker A: A dinosaur. A dinosaur named Luchasaurus, of. [01:38:24] Speaker B: All things. Yeah. An inherently goofy name. Like. Yeah, yeah. Also. [01:38:30] Speaker A: Very. [01:38:30] Speaker B: Good. Dynamite. I was super happy with it. I said, I heard from. At least online from people who were at the tapings that the dynamite that we just watched was good. But the collision that's on tonight is like one of the shows of the year. It's supposed to Be. Oh, absolutely fantastic. Like, oh, I'm very excited to watch that and see where everything lands for the pay. [01:38:48] Speaker A: Per view. My body. [01:38:50] Speaker C: Be watching. [01:38:51] Speaker B: Be ready. Yeah. [01:38:53] Speaker C: Okay. [01:38:54] Speaker B: Tomorrow. Fantastic. Well. [01:38:56] Speaker C: Fun times. Hell. [01:38:58] Speaker A: Yeah, folks. And then we got the pay. [01:39:00] Speaker B: Per view. Yeah. There's so much wrestling coming. [01:39:02] Speaker A: Up. There's. There's. [01:39:04] Speaker B: Wrestle Kingdom. Yep. I'm just gonna say. Yeah. Okay. We got World end this Saturday. Yeah. Erica is going to be there watching Tanahashi retirement. Higher. Everything's gonna go bad after that. Like after Liger retired and we got co, it all. [01:39:18] Speaker C: Fell apart. Don't you put that on. [01:39:21] Speaker A: Me, Mongoose. [01:39:22] Speaker B: I don't. No, that's not co. No, you didn't. But it was just the timing of some things ended so terribly and then everything. [01:39:33] Speaker C: Went bad. So like the lab release theory. [01:39:36] Speaker A: Was Liger. Liger was the only. [01:39:40] Speaker B: Thing keeping. That's what the Black Mist. [01:39:42] Speaker C: Is. Yeah. The Black Mist was. [01:39:48] Speaker A: Proto co. Because Suzuki brought out the. [01:39:53] Speaker B: Kishan Liger. Yeah, bro. Yeah. He summoned it. [01:40:02] Speaker C: All right, this is getting real. [01:40:06] Speaker A: Weird, okay. And nobody's made. [01:40:09] Speaker B: Any action. [01:40:13] Speaker A: Conspiracy theories. Just vague conspiracy theories about COVID and it's not any. It's not any weirder than like the actual conspiracy theories people believe. [01:40:24] Speaker B: In. So. [01:40:25] Speaker C: No, that's. Especially wrestlers. Yeah. So thank you all for listening. Patreon.comffpod. [01:40:36] Speaker B: For now. Yeah. Check out the T shirt that was made during. [01:40:39] Speaker C: This podcast. Yeah, that's a garage shop, dad. Garrick. No, Garrett taylor-shop.fourth wall.com because I'm not paying. [01:40:52] Speaker B: For a. It'll be linked in the. [01:40:54] Speaker A: The. [01:40:55] Speaker C: Show. Yes. It'll. [01:40:57] Speaker A: Be later. I will. I will even buy the shirt to. [01:41:00] Speaker C: The shirt. There you go. You can buy. [01:41:04] Speaker A: The shirt. You can buy the. Get the 1990s. Yeah, yeah, that's.
